Gingrich: Pelosi Impeachment Push Is Because She’s Scared Trump Might Run Again – And Win

Nancy Pelosi was asked in a recent interview why Democrats insisted on pushing for another impeachment of President Donald Trump, and the House Speaker she acknowledged that her motivation to prevent Trump from running again.

In a recent interview with “60 Minutes,” CBS News reporter Lesley Stahl asked Pelosi if, “after all of this, there’s no punishment, no consequence, and he could run again for president.”

Pelosi admitted, “That’s one of the motivations that people have for advocating for impeachment.”

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich seized on the comment as the real reason behind the Democrats’ lightning quick attempt to impeach President Trump for a second time.

Gingrich: ‘Pelosi Fears The American People Might Pick Him If They Were Allowed To’

“The will of the American people has to be subordinate to the will of Pelosi,” Gingrich wrote on Twitter.

“Trump has to be impeached to stop him from running again,” Gingrich continued. “Pelosi fears the American people might pick him if they were allowed to.”

“What a formula for expressing Washington’s contempt for the people,” he finished.

The Democrats’ Impeachment Push

The Democrats voted Wednesday on an article of impeachment that charged Trump with inciting citizens to create an insurrection on Capitol Hill.

The House Democrats article of impeachment read, “Incited by President Trump, a mob unlawfully breached the Capitol, injured law enforcement personnel, menaced Members of Congress and the Vice President, interfered with the Joint Session’s solemn constitutional duty to certify the election results, and engaged in violent, deadly, destructive, and seditious acts.”

“He threatened the integrity of the democratic system, interfered with the peaceful transition of power, and imperiled a coordinate branch of government,” it continued. “He thereby betrayed his trust as President, to the manifest injury of the people of the United States.”

Trump Remains Popular Among Republicans

Rasmussen’s Daily Presidential Tracking Poll shows President Trump’s approval stands at 48% as of the Monday after the violence at the Capitol.

Further, pollster Frank Luntz released results Monday that show 91% of Republicans would vote for President Trump if the election were held right now.

The fact remains that President Trump is very popular among Republicans and his supporters, and that support likely isn’t going to go away any time soon.

Hillary Clinton: Conservatives Can ‘Begin The Healing’ By Admitting Biden Will Become ‘Duly Elected President’

On Tuesday, failed 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said that the GOP and conservatives can “begin the healing and unifying process” by admitting that Joe Biden “was duly elected president in a free and fair election.”

Clinton wrote on Twitter, “Here’s how elected Republicans and conservative media can begin the healing and unifying process: Accurately state that Joe Biden was duly elected president in a free and fair election.”

“Urge Trump supporters to refrain from further violence. For a start,” she added.

Clinton’s Tweet Comes As Democrats Push For Impeachment

Clinton’s comments come as Democrats continue to push another attempt to impeachment President Trump.

Accusing the President of inciting the Capitol Hill riots last week, Democrat leaders plan to meet on Wednesday to consider articles of impeachment.

The single article of impeachment read, “President Trump gravely endangered the security of the United States and its institutions of Government. He threatened the integrity of the democratic system, interfered with the peaceful transfer of power, and imperiled a coequal branch of Government.”

It added, “He thereby betrayed his trust as President, to the manifest injury of the people of the United States.”

The impeachment article was introduced by Democratic House members Reps. David Cicilline of Rhode Island, Ted Lieu of California, and Jamie Raskin of Maryland.

Hillary Clinton Still Hasn’t Admitted Trump Won In 2016

The former Secretary of State wants conservatives to admit Joe Biden won the 2020 election, but as recently as 2019, Clinton essentially claimed that the 2016 election was rigged.

On CBS This Morning in September of 2019, Clinton claimed that Trump is an “illegitimate president” and that the election was neither fair nor free.

“I believe he understands that the many varying tactics they used, from voter suppression and voter purging to hacking to the false stories – he knows that – there were just a bunch of different reasons why the election turned out like it did.”

Clinton Published Op-Ed About ‘White Supremacy’

Clinton published an op-ed in the Washington Post on Monday, arguing that pursuing impeachment alone will not “remove white supremacy from America.”

“Trump ran for president on a vision of America where whiteness is valued at the expense of everything else. In the White House, he gave white supremacists, members of the extreme right and conspiracy theorists their most powerful platforms yet, even claiming that there were “very fine people” among the torch-wielding militia members who converged on Charlottesville in 2017,” Clinton wrote.

On January 8, Clinton celebrated President Trump’s personal Twitter account being permanently banned.

Adam Schiff Claims Trump Impeachment ‘Gathering Momentum’ With Republicans

On Tuesday, House Intelligence Committee Chairman and Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff said that he believes support for impeaching President Trump is “gathering momentum” in the GOP.

His comments come after reports that Republicans in leadership, like Mitch McConnell and Liz Cheney, are supportive of the effort.

Schiff made his comments during an interview on CNN’s “Situation Room” with host Wolf Blitzer.

Schiff: ‘These Things Have A Way Of Gathering Momentum’

Blitzer said to Schiff, “The third-ranking Republican in the House, Congresswoman Liz Cheney, she nows says she will actually vote to impeach President Trump tomorrow when this resolution comes up for a vote.”

Blitzer added, “The last time you impeached President Trump, you did so with no Republican support in the House, no Republican support at all. So what does this development mean?”

Schiff replied, “It means she won’t be alone. There will be other Republicans influenced by her decision, and these things have a way of gathering momentum.”

Trump Called Schiff ‘Watermelon Head’ In October

“So I wouldn’t be surprised now to see a considerable number of Republicans join in supporting the impeachment resolution,” he added.

The Democrat then noted how significant support for impeachment from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell could be in this effort.

“These reports that Mitch McConnell may be open to the impeachment charges as well is quite a potential earthquake in the Senate,” Schiff said.

Schiff is no stranger to battles with President Trump. He was one of the key advocates of RussiaGate during Trump’s entire first term in office.

In October, Trump called Schiff “watermelon head” at a presidential campaign rally in Gastonia, North Carolina.

Trump also said Schiff should be “locked up.”

Schiff Led First Impeachment Trial Against Trump

Schiff led the first impeachment trial against President Trump over alleged collusion with Russia in the 2016 presidential election.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation found insufficient evidence to back up those allegations.

Progressive journalist Glenn Greenwald wrote at The Intercept in April 2019, “The two-pronged conspiracy theory that has dominated U.S. political discourse for almost three years – that (1) Trump, his family and his campaign conspired or coordinated with Russia to interfere in the 2016 election, and (2) Trump is beholden to Russian President Vladimir Putin — was not merely rejected today by the final report of Special Counsel Robert Mueller. It was obliterated: in an undeniable and definitive manner.”

Devin Nunes On Big Tech Parler Ban: ‘There Should Be A Racketeering Investigation’

Republicans Congressman Devin Nunes, the ranking Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, said Sunday that the Justice Department should launch an investigation into tech companies’ efforts to remove Parler from their platforms.

Nunes made his comments on Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures.”

Nunes On Parler Ban: ‘It’s Far Worse Than What I Could Even Imagine’

“Well, Maria, when I wrote that book, I was hoping to warn Americans so that they would vote right and that maybe this wouldn’t happen and this could be prevented,” Nunes told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo.

Nunes said the move by Big Tech violated antitrust laws, civil rights and the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

“Unfortunately, it’s far worse than what I could even imagine,” Nunes said. “The effect of this is that there is no longer a free and open social media company or site for any American to get on any longer, because these big companies, Apple, Amazon, Google, they have just destroyed a — what was likely — Parler is likely a billion-dollar company.”

“Poof, it’s gone,” he added.

‘This Is Clearly A Violation Of Antitrust’

Nunes then stressed that conservatives need to have the same social media abilities that non-conservatives enjoys.

“But it’s more than just the financial aspect to that,” Nunes explained. “Republicans have no way to communicate.”

“If — and it doesn’t even matter if you’re a Republican or conservative,” he continued.

“If you don’t want to be regulated by left-wingers that are at Twitter and Facebook and Instagram, where you get shadowbanned, nobody gets to see you — nobody gets to see you, they get to decide what’s violent or not violent, it’s preposterous,” Nunes said.

Nunes then cited the violation of antitrust laws.

“So, I don’t know where the hell the Department of Justice is at right now or the FBI,” Nunes said. “This is clearly a violation of antitrust, civil rights, the RICO statute.”

Nunes Denounces ‘Attack’ On Parler And Conservatives Being Able To Operate On Social Media

“There should be a racketeering investigation on all the people that coordinated this attack on not only a company but on all of those like us, like me, like you, Maria. I have 3 million followers on Parler,” he added.

“Tonight, I will no longer be able to communicate with those people,” Nunes lamented. “And they’re Americans.”

Republican Senator Pat Toomey Says Trump Committed Impeachable Acts

On Sunday, Republican Senator Pat Toomey said that President Donald Trump committed impeachable acts when he supposedly incited the Capitol Hill riot that happened on Wednesday.

Toomey made his comments on CNN’s “State of the Union” hosted by Jake Tapper.

RELATED: AOC Calls For Trump To Be Impeached – ‘We Came Close To Half Of The House Nearly Dying’

Toomey Not Sure There Is Enough Time For An Impeachment

Tapper said to the senator, “Your Republican colleague Senator Murkowski of Alaska says President Trump should resign. She said, quote, ‘He’s caused enough damage.’ Do you agree?”

Toomey replied, “Yeah, I do. I think at this point, with just a few days left, it’s the best path forward, the best way to get this person in the rearview mirror for us that could happen immediately.”

“I’m not optimistic it will,” Toomey added. “But I think that would be the best way forward.”

That is when the CNN host brought up impeachment.

Tapper asked, “Do you think the president should be impeached? Would you vote to remove him from office?”

‘The President Did Commit Impeachable Offenses’

Toomey responded, “I think the president did commit impeachable offenses. There is little doubt in my mind about that.”

Sen. Toomey then questioned the timing of a possible impeachment.

“I don’t know,” Toomey said. “As a practical matter, it is actually possible to do an impeachment in the handful of days that are left.”

“It is likely if the House does pass Articles of Impeachment, we wouldn’t get them until — I don’t know Tuesday or Wednesday,” Toomey added. “We are less than one week to go at that point.”

Toomey Wants Trump To Resign: ‘That Would Be A Very Good Outcome’

“I am also not at all clear that it is constitutionally permissible to impeach someone after they have left office,” he added. “So there may not be a viable impeachment route at this point.”

Toomey mentioned a possible resignation.

“But certainly, he could resign, and that would be a very good outcome,” Toomey said.

He added, “I think there is also a possibility that there is criminal liability here.”

New Reuters Poll Claims Most Americans Want Trump Removed From Office

Reuters published a new poll in the wake of Wednesday’s chaos at the Capitol which indicates that a majority of Americans now want President Donald Trump immediately removed from office.

A Reuters/Ipsos poll found that 57 percent of respondents said that they have had enough of the President’s recent antics and believe that Trump should leave office.

Trump Loses Major Support Even Among His Voters

Not surprisingly and in partisan fashion, 90 percent of Democrats believe Trump should exit immediately, while 80 percent of Republicans think the President should simply finish out his term.

President-elect Joe Biden takes office on January 20th.

70 percent of Trump voters said they opposed the violence on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, showing that a strong majority of the President’s supporters are against what unfolded.

Two-thirds of Trump voters also described the Capitol Hill rioters as “criminals” and “fools.”

30 percent of Americans say they would like to see Trump’s staff invoke the 25th amendment to force the President’s removal.

Some Democrats And Republicans Say Trump’s Recent Actions Are An Impeachable Offense

Politicians in both parties have said Trump’s actions are impeachable.

Far-left Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said on Sunday, “One, of course, our main priority is to ensure the removal of Donald Trump as president of the United States.”

“Every minute and every hour that he’s in office represents a clear and present danger not just to the United States Congress but frankly to the country,” she added.

RELATED: AOC Calls For Trump To Be Impeached – ‘We Came Close To Half Of The House Nearly Dying’

Then AOC went even further.

“But in addition to removal, we’re also talking about complete barring of the president, of Donald Trump from running for office ever again and in addition to that, the potential ability to prevent pardoning himself from those charges that he was impeached for,” Ocasio-Cortez insisted.

Sen. Toomey: ‘The President Committed Impeachable Offenses’

Republican Senator Pat Toomey said on Sunday, “I do think the president committed impeachable offenses, but I don’t know what is going to land on the Senate floor, if anything.”

“I think at this point, with just a few days left, it’s the best path forward, the best way to get this person in the rearview mirror for us that could happen immediately,” Toomey added.

“I’m not optimistic it will but I think that would be the best way forward,” the senator finished.

Nancy Pelosi: After ‘Armed Insurrection’ House Could Impeach Trump Again

During a press conference on Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that if Vice President Mike Pence does not pursue removing the President from the White House, then the House could move forward with impeaching Donald Trump.

Pelosi was referring to Vice President Pence using the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from power.

Pelosi said, “If the vice president and the cabinet do not act, the congress may be prepared to move forward with impeachment.”

Pelosi: ‘This Is Urgent; This Is An Emergency Of The Highest Magnitude’

Speaking of her belief that President Trump encouraged the Capitol protests that resulted in the breaching of the Capitol building, Pelosi said, “Yesterday, the president of the United States incited an armed insurrection against America.”

“This is urgent; this is an emergency of the highest magnitude,” Pelosi said.

The Democrat leader called Trump “a very dangerous person who should not continue in office.”

“We are in a very difficult place in our country as long as Donald Trump sits in the White House,” she added.

“While there are only 13 days left, any day can be a horror show for America,” Pelosi went on.

Pelosi: Invoking 25th Amendment ‘Best Route’ But House Will Step Up If Needed

Pelosi said Pence to moving forward with using the 25th Amendment would be the “best route” but also that Congress could establish a commission to pursue that effort.

Pelosi’s statement on Thursday comes in the wake of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer calling for Pence to remove Trump from office.

Schumer Calls On Pence To Remove President Trump

Schumer said, “What happened at the U.S. Capitol was an insurrection against the United States, incited by the president. This president should not hold office one day longer.”

“The quickest and most effective way – it can be today – to remove this president from office would be for the Vice President to immediately invoke the 25th Amendment,” Schumer added.

“If the Vice President and the Cabinet refuse to stand up, Congress should reconvene to impeach the president,” Schumer insisted.

Romney: ‘No Evidence’ To Back Trump’s Election Fraud Claims

On Monday, Republican Senator Mitt Romney argued that there was no evidence that the 2020 presidential election was stolen, as President Donald Trump has claimed.

Sen. Romney made his comments on CNBC’s “The News” with host Shepard Smith, in a segment that also included updates on a possible new round of COVID stimulus.

Romney On Claims Of Election Fraud: ‘No Evidence Of It’

Smith noted Attorney General William Barr’s resignation by saying, “He’s claiming fraud, senator, and there’s no evidence of it. Bill Barr didn’t go along with it, and now he’s out.”

Romney replied, “Yeah, well, Bill Barr drew the line. I credit him with once you draw the line, if someone steps over it, you say ‘Okay, that’s the consequence.’ So he’s leaving.”

Both men seem to imply that Barr’s resignation has something to do with Trump’s belief that there was rampant election fraud, but there is no evidence to support that claim as Barr’s motive.

Shepard Smith To Romney: ‘How Much Damage Is The President Doing To Democracy?’

Former Fox News anchor Smith then suggested President Trump was undermining America’s democratic principles.

Smith asked Romney, “How much damage is the president doing to democracy trying to overturn the will of the people?”

Romney responded, “The biggest concern that I have is that people here genuinely believe that somehow this election was stolen, and there’s not evidence of that.”

“The president was saying it was stolen even before election day happened!” Romney said. “He said if he loses, it would be fraud.”

“Well, no one knows that,” Romney continued. “I thought I was going to win too when I ran for president in 2012. I didn’t. I didn’t go out and say fraud.”

“We have a process,” Romney said. “We count the votes. That’s the way it is.”

Romney Thinks President Trump’s Leadership Is A Bad Example To The World

Romney would add, “I’m concerned that the cause of democracy here as well as around the world — people look to us. We’re the democratic leader of the world.”

The Utah senator then took another dig at Trump.

“What’s going on now, I’m afraid, is terribly dispiriting to people all around the globe,” Romney insisted.

Romney has long been an outspoken “Never Trumper.”

In 2016, Romney launched an unprecedented attack on his party’s front-runner for the Presidential nomination:

Romney was also the only Republican Senator to vote to convict President Trump during his impeachment.

Report: New York Prosecutors Investigating Trump For Fraud Over Tax Write-Offs

According to the New York Times, prosecutors from both the Manhattan District Attorney’s office and the New York Attorney General’s office are investigating possible tax fraud by President Donald Trump.

Manhattan D.A. Cyrus Vance and New York AG Letitia James reportedly have investigators probing millions of dollars in tax write-offs that President Trump allegedly used tied to consulting fees paid to Ivanka Trump, his daughter.

Trump Org: ‘Just The Latest Fishing Expedition’

The Trump Organization has been subpoenaed by city and state prosecutors for the tax records related to the fees.

The Times notes that Ivanka Trump is not a focus of the investigations.

According to the Times. “Mr. Trump reduced his taxable income by deducting about $26 million in fees to unidentified consultants as a business expense on numerous projects between 2010 and 2018.”

RELATED: Arizona GOP Chairwoman Kelli Ward: Election ‘Will Ultimately Be Decided In Favor Of President Trump’

The Times also reported that Ms. Trump received some of those fees.

“On a 2017 disclosure she filed when joining the White House as a presidential adviser, she reported receiving payments from a consulting company she co-owned, totaling $747,622, that exactly matched consulting fees claimed as tax deductions by the Trump Organization for hotel projects in Hawaii and Vancouver, British Columbia,” reported the Times.

Alan Garten, the Trump Organization’s general counsel, told the Times, “This is just the latest fishing expedition in an ongoing attempt to harass the company.”

“Everything was done in strict compliance with applicable law and under the advice of counsel and tax experts,” Garten added.

How many ways are they going to find to come after this president?

The move comes as multiple Democrat Congressmen have called to “prosecute” Trump for unspecified crimes.

Ivanka Trump: ‘This Is Harassment Pure And Simple’

The Democrats’ impeachment debacle was apparently just the tip of the iceberg, as even in the midst of a contentious election, state authorities are trying to drum up crimes related to President Trump’s daughter.

This is a pattern – the treatment of President Trump and his family since before he even stepped into the Oval Office.

RELATED: Senate Report: New Evidence Of Hunter Biden’s Business Ties With Chinese Communist Party

Ivanka Trump responded to the reports late Thursday.

“This is harassment pure and simple,” Ms. Trump tweeted. “This ‘inquiry’ by NYC democrats is 100% motivated by politics, publicity and rage.”

She continued, “They know very well that there’s nothing here and that there was no tax benefit whatsoever.”

“These politicians are simply ruthless,” she finished.

Bette Midler Curses Out Kayleigh McEnany: ‘Go F*** Yourself’

Outspoken Hollywood liberal Bette Midler told Kayleigh McEnany to “go f*** herself,” after the White House Press Secretary shared news about the Wayne County Board of Canvassers’ decision in Michigan.

The board has been mired in a battle over certifying the votes in Detroit.

Midler mocked McEnany’s Harvard Law degree in a Wednesday tweet, “With all due respect, Kayleigh, go f*** yourself. IMHO, Harvard has a lot to answer for.”

RELATED: Bette Midler Calls On Biden To Kick Trump ‘In The Nuts’ During First Debate For ‘200,000 People He Murdered’

The Wayne County Board Is Fighting To NOT Certify Detroit Results

Originally the Wayne County Board of Canvassers decided to not certify the results in parts of Detroit, where the poll books were unbalanced.

But the board surprised everyone with a reversal of that decision late Tuesday, unanimously voting to certify the count.

Now, with the Republican members of the board reversing themselves and refusing to certify, Kayleigh McEnany noted that board members only changed their original decision after they were accused of being racists by Democrats.

Responding to a tweet by far-left Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, McEnany wrote, “Last night the Wayne County Board of Canvassers refused to certify the election results, citing irregularities (which are documented in 234 pages of affidavits).

She added, “Then came the typical barrage of leftist threats & cries of racism from the Squad, the failed Governor, and others…”

Bette Midler Has Been A Raging Maniac For A Long Time

Midler has a long history of coming unhinged over President Trump.

After he was acquitted on all impeachment charges by the U.S. Senate in February, the Hollywood liberal let loose.

Midler rage tweeted, ““HE PINNED THIS. YOU THINK THIS IS A JOKE, DON’T YOU? IT’S NOT. HE MEANS IT.”

The maniacal tweet continued, “HE WILL CHANGE THE RULES AND HIS ENABLERS WILL LET HIM. IF HE WINS AGAIN, HE WILL RULE YOU UNTIL HE DIES, YOU DIE, OR BOTH. THEN…YOU’LL GET IVANKA.”

Midler Leveled Xenophobic Insults Against First Lady Melania Trump

In August, Midler referred to the foreign born First Lady Melania Trump as an “illegal alien.”

“#beBest is back! A UGE bore!,” Midler wrote. She can speak several words in a few languages.”

“Get that illegal alien off the stage!,” she added.

RELATED: Bette Midler Hammered After Mocking Melania Trump’s Accent, Calling Her An ‘Illegal Alien’

Apparently bigotry and xenophobia are okay if its a leftist using these slurs against a Trump.

Regardless of how the election turns out, President Trump has at least a month-and-a-half in office left.

Don’t expect this to be the last we hear of the sad and pathetic Bette Midler.
