‘Disgraceful’: Steve Scalise Slams Pelosi for Ripping Up Trump’s Speech

House Republican Whip Steve Scalise blasted Speaker Nancy Pelosi for ripping up President Trump’s speech after his address was over on Tuesday night, calling her actions “disgraceful.”

“I thought it was disgraceful. It’s unbecoming of a speaker,” Scalise told CBS News chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett in an interview for “The Takeout” podcast. “Frankly, Speaker Pelosi should apologize as well, because it’s not the image she should want to portray as the speaker of the House.”

Did Pelosi’s Stunt Disrespect the President’s Guests?

When Garrett mentioned to Scalise that Pelosi said she was justified in ripping the speech because she believed it was a “manifesto of mistruths,” Scalise wondered if her stunt actually represented Democrats disrespecting White House guests present at the speech, including a former Tuskegee airman and a soldier who was reunited with his family.

“I think she at a minimum owes a deep apology to the president and the country,” Scalise said.

Scalise said he believes Trump will be reelected by a wide margin in the Electoral College, and that the President could also win the popular vote in 2020, after losing that vote by 3 million votes in 2016.

Scalise Says Trump Will be Re-Elected

“The popular vote’s a different situation, but look, it’s possible,” Scalise said, before downplaying the importance of the popular vote. “Ultimately, it’s like the Super Bowl. You don’t get the trophy for getting more yards than the other team. You get the trophy for getting more points.”

Scalise also voiced his dissatisfaction with Republican senators Lisa Murkowski and Lamar Alexander who voted to acquit President Trump during his impeachment trial, but also believed the president’s behavior had been “inappropriate.” Scalise insisted that Mr. Trump had done nothing inappropriate or wrong when he asked Ukraine’s president to investigate a political rival.

“The president’s done his job,” Scalise said.

On Wednesday, Scalise tweeted in support of Republican Congresswoamn Kay Granger’s resolution to condemn Pelosi’s actions.

“Ripping up the President’s official State of the Union speech with the nation watching is beneath the dignity of the House of Representatives,” Scalise tweeted. “JUST NOW → @RepKayGranger introduced a resolution to condemn Nancy Pelosi’s disgraceful behavior.”

“She must be held accountable,” he added.

Gowdy: “If I Were Donald Trump, I’d Think the FBI Were Out to Get Me Too”

In an interview with Fox News, former South Carolina Representative Trey Gowdy said that if he were the President, he would think the FBI was out to get him too.

“They Suspected Donald Trump of Impropriety”

Gowdy was interviewed by Martha MacCallum on her show on Fox News on Thursday, where they assessed a post-acquittal speech by the President in which he went after James Comey, the former FBI director.

“Had I not fired James Comey, who was a disaster, by the way, it’s possible I wouldn’t even be standing here right now. We caught him in the act,” the President said. “They were trying to overthrow the government of the United States, a duly elected President! If I didn’t fire James Comey, we would have never found this stuff. When I fired that sleazebag, all Hell broke out.”

MacCallum described these as “very strong words,” to which Gowdy agreed.

“Peter Strzok, the lead case agent on this Russia probe, was talking about impeaching Donald Trump before Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler were. Let that sink in,” Gowdy said. “The lead agent for the FBI mentioned impeaching Trump before Schiff and Nadler did. Then the FBI conducts this ‘defensive briefing,’ which is really just an interview, because they suspected Donald Trump of impropriety.”

“You have James Comey who thinks impeachment is too good for him. You have John Brennan that thinks he should be in the dust pan of history. You have Andy McCabe, who after Comey was fired, launched another investigation into Trump. Martha, if I were Donald Trump, I would think the FBI was out to get me, too,” Gowdy argued.

“Terrible Four Years for the World’s Premier Law Enforcement Agency”

MacCallum noted that President Trump’s firing of Comey was a huge story back when it happened, but put forward that it was ultimately the move that saved the President, as it removed “the person at the top who created a culture that was after him,” and who sought after “a dossier that was paid for by Clinton and DNC.”

Gowdy agreed, but set to “correct the President’s narrative” slightly.

“He replaced Comey with McCabe. That is hardly moving up the draft board. It was only when Chris Wray came in that I think you had a dispassionate, objective, law enforcement centered person. McCabe was no better than Comey,” Gowdy said.

MacCallum asked Gowdy whether he thought that the culture changed at all at the FBI since these snakes were removed from their positions. ”

I hope so, Martha, and I say that because I don’t know,” Gowdy replied. “We’re not going to make it as a country if we don’t have confidence in the FBI… It’s been a terrible four years for the world’s premier law enforcement agency.”

The FBI Swamp Needs to be Drained!

Gowdy is right. If the country doesn’t have confidence in the people who enforce its laws, how can they trust the system to enforce those laws fairly? Americans expect the rule of law to be applied to everyone equally – they don’t want to live in a nation where the deep state can go after its enemies for no reason at all, and let its friends get away with serious crimes scot free.

President Trump was elected to drain the swamp, and if he wants to get re-elected, he has to continue to do so!

Actor James Woods is Back on Twitter, Immediately Wrecks AOC, Hillary, and Mitt Romney

Conservative actor James Woods, after a nearly 10-month hiatus, is back on Twitter, and he immediately went off on a host of liberal politicians as only he can.

Woods, best known for his roles in the films Once Upon a Time in America and Casino, made his triumphant return to the social media platform by making a mockery of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Sharing a video of the New York socialist arguing before Congress that the common phrase ‘pull yourself up by your bootstraps’ is a literal impossibility, Woods announced he was back.

“I’ve tried so hard this past year to live without the wealth of knowledge available on Twitter, but this kind of blazing insight can be found nowhere else, so… I’m back!” he explained.

Woods added the hashtag “#AOCStillAMoron.”

Hillary, Warren, and Mitt Too

While most mere mortals would have rested on their laurels (Wait, laurels? Somebody ask AOC if it’s literally possible to sleep on shrubs), Woods fired off a number of other gems to entertain the masses.

Sharing a report that several women of color had abandoned presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren’s campaign, Woods wrote: “Not enough room in the Warren TeePee for women of color? Not a surprise, considering what a liar and hypocrite she has been since, well, forever…”

Woods shared a post by Hillary Clinton regarding the impeachment witch hunt of President Trump and needled her over her epic election loss.

“You, of course, will never be impeached,” he surmised. “One up side to being the most famous loser in American history.”

Even Senator Mitt Romney, who recently was the only Republican to vote in favor of convicting President Trump during the impeachment trial, was unable to escape Woods’ wrath.

“This is the guy who passes a silent stinker in the elevator and then proceeds to lecture everybody about intestinal management,” he said of Romney. “You’ll never come back from this one, Mittens. Even your magic pants won’t save you.”

Let’s Keep Him on Twitter

Woods is a favorite of conservatives on Twitter because he is the rare Republican residing in the liberal cesspool of Hollywood and he rarely, rarely holds back on his feelings.

He has often tried baiting Hillary into making another run against Trump in 2020 because he knows she’d be a three-time Presidential loser.

Clinton, it has been reported, would not refuse the role of vice president should it be offered.

Woods’ history of completely annihilating liberals on social media is the stuff of legend.

Here are some examples:

That time he hammered Michelle Obama for claiming women somehow let Trump become President.

His response to Obama claiming the toughest part about being First Lady was enduring the racism.

As well as some brutal mockery of Maxine Waters.

Woods was suspended from Twitter in April under the guise of “targetted harassment,” an oft-used excuse by the social media platform to censor conservatives.

In May, he announced that he was fed up with repeated attempts to censor his comments and said he had no intention of using Twitter again.

We’re glad he changed his mind. Stick around for a while, eh Mr. Woods? Things are just starting to get interesting as the election draws near.

Nancy Pelosi Accuses Trump of Being ‘Sedated’ During State of the Union

In a long and rambling explanation of her actions during the State of the Union address, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi accused President Trump of being drugged ahead of the speech.

The insinuation might go down in the irony hall of fame.

Pelosi spoke to reporters about the exchange at the beginning of Trump’s speech, when he handed she and Vice President Mike Pence a copy of his remarks and appeared to either snub, or not see, an extended hand from the leader of the impeachment movement.

“It was also an act of kindness,” Pelosi claimed of the gesture, “because he looked to me like he was a little sedated.”

She added, “He looked that way last year too.”

Seriously, Nancy?

There’s a whole lot of stupid to unpack in that very short video clip.

First off, why did she make an uncontrollable shaking hands gesture to indicate somebody is sedated? That’s more indicative of her obvious fidgety nature.

Second, many observers of Nancy’s actions during the State of the Union address could have easily walked away with the impression that it was she, not the President of the United States, who was on something.

The constant erratic facial contortions were incredibly distracting to those watching the speech. As was the mumbling to herself. Not to mention the uncontrolled rage at the conclusion.

The New York Post’s Michael Goodwin describes Pelosi’s final act of tearing up the printed remarks: “In one sense, Pelosi’s distress is understandable. Trump’s address was long because he had a long list of big accomplishments to cite, and every Republican standing ovation had to drive her closer to the edge. She often seemed to be talking to herself, and finally snapped.”

Those seem like the actions of somebody either under the influence of something unnatural, or an anti-American under the rage-inducing influence of the President’s pro-America agenda.

Disgraceful Accusation

It’s not the first time a Democrat has accused the President of the United States of being on drugs, and it won’t be the last. Anything to make that 25th Amendment argument, eh libs?

Josh Earnest, former White House press secretary to Barack Obama, once accused then-candidate Trump of having “snorted his way through” the debates.

To be fair, Trump had suggested both he and Hillary Clinton submit to a drug test during the campaign, “like athletes.”

Comedian Tom Arnold, like Pelosi an unhinged victim of Trump Derangement Syndrome, baselessly claimed the President used to ‘snort Adderall’ on the set of The Apprentice.

Pelosi’s daughter appeared on Fox News and claimed her mother was not insinuating “he was drugged or something,” but rather, he “had a cold.”

Good to know Pelosi has handed down the perpetual liar genes.

Meghan McCain Shuts Down Whoopi Goldberg When She Tries To Compare Mitt Romney To John McCain

By PopZette Staff | February 6, 2020

An awkward moment took place on the ABC talk show “The View” this morning when Whoopi Goldberg tried to compare Mitt Romney, R-UT., to the late Arizona Senator John McCain. She was then immediately shut down by her cohost Meghan McCain, the deceased Republican’s daughter.

On Wednesday, Romney was the only Republican senator to break party lines by voting to convict President Trump on impeachment charges. While “The View’s” panel discussed this, Goldberg said that Romney’s actions reminded her of McCain.

“I’m just glad somebody stood up and said ‘no,’” Goldberg said. ”I’m going to give faith in him like I gave to your dad.”

Meghan, however, was not having any of it.

“With all due respect, Mitt Romney is nothing like my dad,” she fired back.

Undeterred, Goldberg continued to try and make this point, saying Romney deserves the same credit McCain would have gotten.

“I don’t agree with Mitt Romney but he stood up in a way that nobody else has, except for your dad,” Goldberg said.

“Don’t put all your bets on Romney right now, he will break your heart like he always does,” Meghan replied.

“I’m 63 years old,” Goldberg said to her cohost. “I have been going through this with these people for years.”

McCain then said that it was “very dismissive” for Goldberg to bring up age.

“I don’t know what my age has to do with my political perspective right now. I just don’t think it’s very nice,” she told the liberal.

The two continued to go back and forth until their cohost Joy Behar interrupted to say that she “hates” Trump. How original!

Considering the fact that Romney betrayed the entire Republican Party yesterday due to his own jealousy and bitterness, it’s understandable that Meghan does not want him being compared to her father. Shame on Goldberg for trying to make this comparison, and good for Meghan for not letting her get away with it.
