Trump Resigns From SAG-AFTRA With Epic Letter Blasting Its ‘Dismal Record As A Union’

Former President Donald Trump has resigned from the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) with a blistering letter in which he slammed the organization’s “dismal record as a union.”

Trump Resigns From SAG-AFTRA

Trump handed in his resignation after SAG-AFTRA threatened to expel him, with the union claiming to have found “probable cause” that the former president “violated the union’s Constitution” over the events on Capitol Hill last month.

“I write to you today regarding the so-called Disciplinary Committee hearing aimed at revoking my union membership. Who cares!” Trump wrote to SAG president Gabrielle Carteris in his letter, which was obtained by Fox News.

“While I’m not familiar with your work, I’m very proud of my work on movies such as Home Alone 2, Zoolander, and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps; and television shows including ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,’ ‘Saturday Night Live,’ and of course, one of the most successful shows in television history, ‘The Apprentice’—to name just a few!” Trump added.

Trump Doubles Down

Not stopping there, the former president added that he “also greatly helped the cable news television business (said to be a dying platform with not much time left until I got involved in politics), and created thousands of jobs at networks such as MSDNC and Fake News CNN, among many others.”

“Which brings me to your blatant attempt at free media attention to distract from your dismal record as a union,” Trump stated.

“Your organization has done little for its members, and nothing for me — besides collecting dues and promoting dangerous un-American policies and ideas — as evident by your massive unemployment rates and lawsuits from celebrated actors, who even recorded a video asking, ‘Why isn’t the union fighting for me?’” he added.

Trump was talking about a video recorded in 2020 by stars like Whoopi Goldberg and Amy Schumer in which they criticized the union’s health plan.

They alleged that almost 12,000 members of the union, many of whom they said were elderly, were about to be kicked off the plan.

Trump Concludes His Letter

Trump then ripped the union for its “policy failures,” adding that its “disciplinary failures are even more egregious.”

“I no longer wish to be associated with your union,” he wrote. “As such, this letter is to inform you of my immediate resigning from SAG-AFTRA.”

Trump concluded his letter by saying, “You have done nothing for me.”

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what we call a mic drop moment!

Whoopi Goldberg Claims Joe Manchin’s Attack On Kamala Harris Was ‘Bigoted’ – ‘Really Disrespectful’

Over the weekend, Senator Joe Manchin’s (D-WV) spoke out to criticize Vice President Kamala Harris for going on a local television station in West Virginia to try and drum up support for the Joe Biden administration’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package.

This did not sit well with “The View” cohost Whoopi Goldberg, who said on Monday that she thought Manchin’s attack on Harris was “bigoted.”

Goldberg Slams Manchin

“Vice President Kamala Harris did an interview with the local West Virginia TV station to make the pitch for the new COVID stimulus package, and moderate Democrat Senator Joe Manchin was not happy he didn’t get a heads-up about it. Take a look,” Goldberg said on Monday’s episode of “The View.”

“I saw it. I couldn’t believe it,” Manchin said of Harris’ interview. “No one called me.  We’re going to try to find a bipartisan pathway for it. I think we need to, but we need to work together. That’s not a way of working together, what was done.”

“OK, so let me just point this out, Joe, she is the vice president,” Goldberg fired back. “She does not work for you. She doesn’t need your permission to go do this. When you talk like that, it sounds a little bigoted, like you think you have the right to tell her when she can and cannot come someplace. I think it’s really disrespectful politics myself.”

Joy Behar Disagrees With Goldberg

In a surprising twist, Goldberg’s cohost Joy Behar actually saw this differently.

“Well, you know, Joe Manchin is a Democrat, but he swings to the right,” she said. “At this moment in time, the Democrats need Joe Manchin more than Joe Manchin needs the Democrats because he will always win in West Virginia taking middle of the road positions.”

“He’s got an ego problem, I’ll grant you that,” Behar added. “But the guy voted for impeachment, he voted for the ACA, he’s on the Democratic team — so I don’t think it’s a great idea alienating Joe Manchin, no matter how big his ego is.”

“I’m sorry, do you think she needed to speak to him before she went and gave this interview?” an incredulous Goldberg asked.

“I don’t know. I don’t know what the protocol — probably not,” Behar explained, at which time Goldberg interrupted her to say, “No, because she’s the vice president.”

When asked for her thoughts on this, conservative cohost Meghan McCain said, “I completely agree with Joy.”

Whoopi Goldberg Goes Off On Republicans Who Voted Against Impeachment – ‘You’re Scared’

On Wednesday’s episode of the ABC talk show “The View,” cohost Whoopi Goldberg went off on the 45 Republican senators who dared to vote that a Senate impeachment trial against former President Donald Trump would be unconstitutional.

Impeachment Of Trump In The Senate Looks Unlikely

She went so far as to accuse the Republicans of being “scared” to convict him because “then their feet are going to be in the fire as well.”

Only five Republicans joined Democrats in voting against a motion put forth by Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) stating that having an impeachment trial for a president who has already left office is unconstitutional.

This means that it is extremely unlikely that Democrats will get the votes they need to actually impeach Trump in the Senate, as doing so would require far more than five Republicans to join them.

Goldberg Goes Off

This did not sit well with Goldberg, who proceeded to throw a temper tantrum on her show.

“A lot of the people that are saying, ‘No, we’re not going to vote for this,’ they’re protecting themselves because they know if he is convicted they are next,” Goldberg whined. “Because with all of those senators and congresspeople, all the people that are still saying, ‘No, he was cheated,’ then their feet are going to be in the fire as well.”

“See, with one lie, you can take them all down or raise them all up,” she added.

Goldberg went on to say, “If somebody would just say, ‘You know, I know that was his voice talking to the man in Georgia, I know that was his voice saying to people, yeah, you can peacefully go, but you know, this is not going to happen easily, you’re going to have to take what you want and Mike Pence is going to have to step up’ — You read the signs. I read the signs. You know what he said, and you know what you allowed to happen. You allowed it to happen.”

“All of you who are saying that this was a steal, the woman that was wearing the mask, you know what this was and you watched it happen and you let it happen,” Goldberg concluded. “Now you’re scared that if there is a vote that says, yeah, we’re going to impeach him, you all are on the line as well.”

Meghan McCain Blasts Capitol Rioters As ‘Domestic Terrorists’ Who Should Be Sent To Guantanamo

On Monday’s episode of the ABC talk show “The View,” conservative cohost Meghan McCain blasted the Capitol rioters as “domestic terrorists” who should be sent to the Guantanamo Bay detention camp.

Meghan McCain Attacks Capitol Rioters

“I just think we need to treat the domestic terrorists the way we do actual terrorists,” she said. “I think we need to consider all the possibilities. I’m not against sending these people to Gitmo, That may sound extreme. These are domestic terrorists who attacked our own republic. They should be treated the same way we treat Al-Qaeda.”

McCain also called on Republicans to impeach President Donald Trump before he leaves office.

“People are really worried about violence on Inauguration Day. I think they have to send a direct message, Republicans and Democrats, that this cannot stand and there have to be ramifications for what happened,” McCain said. “This is one of the worst domestic terror attacks in our history.”

Related: Meghan McCain Breaks Down As She Begs Republicans To Remove Trump From Office Using 25th Amendment

“I have said this on this show numerous times: Facts are stubborn things. Normally I say it in relationship to Democrats — now I’m saying it to Republicans,” she added.

“If President Obama had incited this kind of riot, where he had lied to his voters, lied about the election and then sent a mob of people up on Capitol Hill where the vice president could have been killed or worse, there would be absolute bedlam worse than we’re seeing now,” McCain said.

Whoopi Goldberg chimed in with a simple “oh my God” in agreement with McCain’s sentiment.

McCain Doubles Down

“So the problem I’m having now, and I’m just speaking to my own party — there has to be intellectual consistency in this,” McCain continued. “Because we always go on TV and say we are the party of law and order, we are the party of the ideals, we are the party of ramifications for people that screw with America, we’re gonna put a boot in your you-know-what if you screw with the American way. I have said that.”

“So why is it different when it’s MAGA supporters?” she continued. “That’s where I’m really confused right now. If we let this stand and we don’t have 100% for impeachment, the 25th amendment, anything and everything to get him out now — the existential threat of violence is still here.”

Whoopi Goldberg Claims Trump Won’t Run For President In 2024 Because He’ll Be In Jail

Whoopi Goldberg’s obsessive hatred for Donald Trump reared its ugly head once again this week when she claimed that he won’t be able to run for president again in 2024 because he’ll be in jail.

‘The View’ Discusses Presidential Pardons

While the panel of the ABC talk show “The View” discussed presidential pardons, cohost Sara Haines asked, “Sunny, how are all these people being pardoned unless they spell out what they did? Don’t you have to have a reason to pardon someone?”

She addressed this question to “The View” cohost and legal analyst Sunny Hostin.

“That’s a great question,” she said. “The bottom line is that the president’s pardon power is extensive. You can’t pardon someone from impeachment. There’s no question you can issue a blanket pardon even for crimes that were committed, maybe could be —that haven’t even been charged, that could be charged.”

“His power is exhaustive,” Hostin added. “One thing he can’t pardon for is state crimes. He can only pardon for federal crimes. I would imagine New York is still open to investigation, Florida is still open to investigation.”

“Letitia James is waiting on him,” said Goldberg, who was clearly itching to have another Trump-bashing session.

“She really is. That’s the attorney general of New York,” Hostin said in agreement.

Whoopi Goldberg Goes In

That’s when Goldberg went in.

She is waiting on him,” Goldberg added. “Well, I think it’s very exciting that, you know, he can try to — he can pardon himself federally, but there are all these people waiting. Letitia James is waiting with her little foot. She is patting that foot, waiting for him to make a step out.”

‘He keeps saying he’s going run in 2024,” she added. “You are not going to run if you are in jail, my friend. That is something you must also think of. I’m just saying tick tock baby.”

Goldberg has been wrong about nearly everything else about Trump. Here’s hoping that she’s wrong about this one, and that she gets a nasty surprise in 2024.

Whoopi Goldberg Suggest Democrats ‘Impeach’ SCOTUS Justices To ‘Balance Stuff Out’

On Tuesday’s episode of “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg suggested that Democrats make the unprecedented move of impeaching Supreme Court justices, saying that this would restore balance on the Supreme Court.

Goldberg Suggests Democrats ‘Impeach’ SCOTUS Justices

Goldberg said this while the panel on the ABC talk show was discussing the Supreme Court confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett by the Republican-led Senate the day before.

“I think her appointment is really going to change the way the Supreme Court is going to not only handle cases but the way the Supreme Court is going to look going forward,” cohost Sunny Hostin said. “We all know the Republican Party has been packing the Supreme Court for decades. They’ve been packing the judiciary for decades.”

“Trump has put now three justices on the Supreme Court and just dozens and dozens of judges on the federal judiciary,” she added. “I think what we’ll see is perhaps the Democrats unpacking the Supreme Court, so there’s more of a balance.”

That’s when Goldberg chimed in with her own bright idea.

“Or some impeachments which is possible with Supreme Court judges. They also can be impeached,” Goldberg said.

“There are lots of ways to shift this,” she added. “One could impeach judges that have not stuck to the rules of being judges on the Supreme Court. That’s been done several times. There’s a lot of ways to balance stuff out.”

Pelosi Flirts With Idea Of Packing Supreme Court

This comes after Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) flirted with the idea of expanding the Supreme Court during an interview with MSNBC.

“Should we expand the court?” Pelosi asked. “Well, let’s take a look and see.”

“But not — and that relates to the nine district courts, maybe we need more district courts as well,” she added. “And one other thing we need, we need for these justices to disclose their holdings.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), a self-described Democratic Socialist who has become the face of the far-left side of her party, has let it be known that packing the court is something she will be fighting for if Joe Biden wins this election.

“Expand the court,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted on Monday. “Republicans do this because they don’t believe Dems have the stones to play hardball like they do. And for a long time they’ve been correct. But do not let them bully the public into thinking their bulldozing is normal but a response isn’t. There is a legal process for expansion.”

‘The View’ Descends Into Chaos As Meghan McCain Spars With Cohosts About RBG’s Supreme Court Seat

“The View” went off the rails once again on Monday, as the cohosts got into a heated debate over the Supreme Court seat that has been left vacated by the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died last Friday at the age of 87.

The segment started out on a harmonious note, as all five cohosts of the show, including conservative Meghan McCain, agreed that Ginsburg had been a game-changer for women and that her presence would always be felt on the Supreme Court.

“Well done,” said Whoopi Goldberg. “You spent your time as an American, you spent your time as a human being, fighting for the right thing.”

“The View” Derails

However, things went downhill when the cohosts shifted to discussing the debate on whether a replacement for Ginsburg should be named before the election. Within hours of Ginsburg’s death, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell insisted that confirmation hearings will take place before the election.

“62% of Americans think the Supreme Court seat should be filled by the new president,” said Joy Behar. “We’re currently being ruled by a minority.”

McCain responded by supporting McConnell’s push to fill Ginsburg’s seat before the election.

“One of my biggest concerns is — if we have a contested election in 2020 and it’s split like it was in 2000, we have to have a full Court ruling on it,” she said. “The potential for constitutional chaos is absolutely the most imminent it has been in my modern lifetime.”

McCain went on to say that the nomination process of Brett Kavanaugh, which saw him be accused of sexual assault by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, “changed the game for a lot of Republicans, myself included. Democrats on their side will do anything and everything to smear any conservative.”

McCain Stands Strong

As McCain’s liberal cohosts started to push back on her, things got heated.

“47% of Americans are pro-life, Joy,” McCain said. “Every time I talk about it on this show, it’s received as if it’s this vast minority in the country.”

“I’m telling you, for people who are pro-life, not never-Trumpers … for people like me, it is a meat and potatoes issue, much like guns,” she added. “It will get people out [to vote], period.”

When cohost Sara Haines tried to read a quote from potential nominee Amy Coney Barrett, McCain was not having any of it.

“I would be very careful slandering her, Sara, before she’s even been put forth,” said McCain. “This is what I’m talking about with the Kavanaugh stuff!”

“No, Meghan, please just give me a chance –” said Haines, as McCain continued to talk over her.

Goldberg was finally left with no choice but to shut down the conversation and throw the show to a commercial break. As this Supreme Court situation escalates, you can expect “The View” to go off the rails plenty more times as the hosts battle it out over a potential nominee.

Rosie O’Donnell Reveals All About Drama On ‘The View’ – Whoopi Goldberg ‘Didn’t Like Me’

Rosie O’Donnell spoke out this week to reveal some shocking behind-the-scenes details about her time on the ABC talk show “The View,” confirming that there really is a ton of drama.

O’Donnell revealed that she never considered going back to “The View” after leaving the show for a second time a few years ago because of her drama with co-host Whoopi Goldberg. “No, I think we all agreed that the last time, that it was better for everyone,” O’Donnell, 58, said during an interview with Howard Stern. “You know, Whoopi really didn’t like me.”

O’Donnell went on to explain that she had signed on to the show thinking she would be part of an “ensemble,” only to get off on the wrong foot with Goldberg when she signaled for commercial. “She was upset… I threw to commercial because I didn’t know that she saw the countdown,” O’Donnell remembered. “Now, listen, she’s been there forever. Maybe that’s normal. I saw, and there was a pause, and I said, ‘We’ll be right back after this.’”

“That was the first day and then there was trouble from then on,” she added. O’Donnell rejoined the show in 2014 after leaving for the first time in 2007. Ironically, she said she had a “come to Jesus” moment just before returning to “The View” when she told Goldberg at her home that she would only come back if she wanted her to.

“I was thinking we were going to be like Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan,” O’Donnell said, referring to the legendary NBA players. “Like that it was going to be the greatest thing of all time.” O’Donnell left the show after just one season in 2015.

During this interview, O’Donnell also talked about how she bizarrely has become pen pals with Michael Cohen, the former personal attorney to President Donald Trump, after visiting him in prison. She explained that she decided to write to him back in December, at the height of the Democrats’ impeachment efforts against Trump.

“I said, ‘I can’t help but find myself thinking about you there in jail, you who’s from Long Island who sounds like everybody I grew up with, you who’s near my age, you are the guy who’s paying for what this man did. And it seems horrifically unfair,'” O’Donnell said she wrote to Cohen. “And he wrote back to me and said, ‘I can’t believe you’re writing me. I have such guilt over the way I participated, you know, with Trump.’ And so we became pen pals. And then I went to the prison to visit him.”

O’Donnell has been in a longstanding feud with President Trump for over a decade, and her obsessive hatred’s only grown since he took office. Clearly, she’ll become friends with anyone willing to say something bad about him, which may seem pretty pathetic.

Meghan McCain Shuts Down Whoopi Goldberg When She Tries To Compare Mitt Romney To John McCain

By PopZette Staff | February 6, 2020

An awkward moment took place on the ABC talk show “The View” this morning when Whoopi Goldberg tried to compare Mitt Romney, R-UT., to the late Arizona Senator John McCain. She was then immediately shut down by her cohost Meghan McCain, the deceased Republican’s daughter.

On Wednesday, Romney was the only Republican senator to break party lines by voting to convict President Trump on impeachment charges. While “The View’s” panel discussed this, Goldberg said that Romney’s actions reminded her of McCain.

“I’m just glad somebody stood up and said ‘no,’” Goldberg said. ”I’m going to give faith in him like I gave to your dad.”

Meghan, however, was not having any of it.

“With all due respect, Mitt Romney is nothing like my dad,” she fired back.

Undeterred, Goldberg continued to try and make this point, saying Romney deserves the same credit McCain would have gotten.

“I don’t agree with Mitt Romney but he stood up in a way that nobody else has, except for your dad,” Goldberg said.

“Don’t put all your bets on Romney right now, he will break your heart like he always does,” Meghan replied.

“I’m 63 years old,” Goldberg said to her cohost. “I have been going through this with these people for years.”

McCain then said that it was “very dismissive” for Goldberg to bring up age.

“I don’t know what my age has to do with my political perspective right now. I just don’t think it’s very nice,” she told the liberal.

The two continued to go back and forth until their cohost Joy Behar interrupted to say that she “hates” Trump. How original!

Considering the fact that Romney betrayed the entire Republican Party yesterday due to his own jealousy and bitterness, it’s understandable that Meghan does not want him being compared to her father. Shame on Goldberg for trying to make this comparison, and good for Meghan for not letting her get away with it.

Meghan McCain Breaks Her Silence About Feud With Whoopi Goldberg After Being Told To ‘Please Stop Talking’

By PopZette Staff | January 30, 2020

A few weeks ago, tensions on the ABC talk show “The View” boiled over when Whoopi Goldberg screamed at conservative cohost Meghan McCain to “please stop talking” during a heated exchange. Now, McCain has broken her silence to address this feud with Goldberg.

McCain opened up about the fight between her and Goldberg while appearing on the Bravo talk show “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” last night

“It was rough, and I will say that she was having a bad day,” McCain explained. “We talked about it that night and the next day and… you know, it’s live TV and it’s really intense stressful times for everyone. I adore her. She apologized off air, she apologized on air, we all f— up on the show. It’s live every day and I forgive her, I love her.”

RELATED: Dave Chapelle Defends Trump Supporters – Says He Doesn’t See Them ‘As My Enemy’

She went on to claim that she is so close to Goldberg that she has promised to leave the show if the Oscar-winner ever does.

“If she leaves, I go,” McCain said. “Whoopi is the anchor of the show and my life there. She always picks us up when we’re down. If she’s gone… if she jumps I jump. I adore her and I need her as the moderator.”

However, many will find this friendship hard to believe after watching how Goldberg and McCain treat one another on air.

This isn’t the only feud that McCain is rumored to be involved in on “The View.” During this same interview last night, she was asked about a fight she was rumored to have had with conservative cohost Abby Huntsman, who left “The View” earlier this month.

“Thank you for asking me, no one has had the courtesy to ask me directly… Abby and I have been friends for over 10 years,” McCain began. “We are still very good friends. We are very close, I just talked to her yesterday morning. She is campaigning with her dad. I think she was genuinely conflicted with her dad running for governor and her not helping and that is the reason she left.”

McCain did not deny that she had indeed gotten in a fight with Huntsman.

“We did get in a fight, which is a very small fight and a friend fight,” the daughter of John McCain said. “All friendships have ups and downs and it was sort of bizarre to me, and I think bizarre to her, to have the fact that we got in one fight in the two years we’ve worked together on the show to be put under dissection in the media, to be weaponized.”

RELATED: Tulsi Gabbard Despised at CNN, Shut Out of Town Hall

“It’s cruel, it’s very cruel and this has been a really, really, rough few weeks for me,” McCain concluded. “I didn’t want her to go, selfishly, because I thought she was an amazing co-host and just having a friend there is lovely. But it’s been really emotionally taxing to have our friendship used this way in the media.”

There certainly is tons of drama on “The View,” which now has McCain as the only conservative on the panel with a gaggle of loudmouth liberals. This results in McCain being brutally attacked on a daily basis by Goldberg, Joy Behar, and a slew of other left-wingers, and this has to take a toll on the young Republican.

McCain may claim that everyone is friends behind the scenes, but it seems obvious that the drama on “The View” will not be ending anytime soon.
