Mary Miller to skip Biden’s State of the Union

Rep. Mary Miller (R-Ill.) said she will skip President Biden's State of the Union on Tuesday, saying she does not want to "show up to and listen to him continue to lie."

In a statement released Monday by her office, Miller said she is boycotting the president’s speech over his failure to properly address recent issues including the national security risk posed by the Chinese balloon and the discovery of classified documents in his home and office.

"Joe Biden’s presidency has been filled with lie after lie, especially lies about the border being secure, inflation being temporary, and the DOJ targeting parents for attending school board meetings," she said. "I will not be attending Biden’s State of the Union to listen to him lie about the damage he has caused to our country while the left-wing media and members of Congress applaud his lies.”

Miller also lamented former Speaker Nancy Pelosi ripping up President Trump's third State of the Union address in 2020, "which celebrated a secure border, support for our military, and American energy independence."

In an interview with Breitbart News over the weekend, Miller also accused Biden of lying about the southern border being secure and the impact of his policies on energy prices.

“I mean, I could go on and on with his lies,” she added.

Even though she won’t attend, she’s invited a guest.

In the statement released by her office, Miller announced that should will be bringing Retired Illinois Air Force Colonel (Ret.) Mark A. Hurley as her guest, who left the military over Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine.

“Biden used the COVID vaccine mandate as a political purge to force the best and the brightest out of our military, and Biden has still failed to provide accountability for his disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan more than two years ago,” Miller said.

Hurley called the invite an “honor” and praised Miller and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy for their efforts to end the COVID military vaccine requirement.

“These legislative leaders continued the battle we did not have time to complete through our normal chain of command,” Hurley said. “We are truly grateful for the thousands of military careers they have saved.”

Miller will likely not be alone in her decision, as many lawmakers in the past have also skipped a president's State of the Union to project partisan disgust.

In 1999, several GOP lawmakers boycotted then-President Clinton's address while the Senate was still conducting an impeachment trial over his affair with a White House intern. More recently, during former President Trump’s time in office, several Democratic lawmakers chose to boycott his State of the Union addresses, as well as his inauguration.

Cher Comes Unglued—Claims Trump Is Going To Shoot Someone In New York City

By PoliZette Staff | February 19, 2020

In today’s example of a celebrity who has let Trump Derangement Syndrome completely consume them…

The actress and singer Cher’s Twitter attacks on President Donald Trump have become increasingly bizarre and deranged over the past few weeks. Now, Cher’s attacks have escalated to the point where she is claiming that Trump is about to commit murder.

Cher hopped back on her Twitter page this afternoon to say that Trump is about to shoot someone on 5th Avenue in New York City.

“Tired Of Hearing Ppl Say ‘THIS IS UNPRECEDENTED.’ Every time The ‘[nut] Job In Chief’ Steps Over a Line That’s NEVER Been Crossed,” Cher said. “SOON The Crazy Fk Will Shoot Someone on 5th Ave, & Say ‘I Could Have Done this Before, I Just Chose Not To.’ [America], He’s Your [baby]. Rock Him.”

Her tweet was posted alongside a link to a Washington Post article titled “Post-impeachment, Trump declares himself the ‘chief law enforcement officer’ of America.” The article discussed some of the things Trump has done since his impeachment acquittal, including his move to grant clemency this week to eleven people who had been imprisoned for non-violent offenses.

What that has to do with Trump allegedly planning to commit a murder in New York likely only makes sense in the fanatical mind of Cher…

This comes after Cher accused Trump of being a “limp, Vengeful imitation of a man” who’s afraid of Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), tweeting that on the night he refused to shake the House Speaker’s hand before his State of the Union address.

“MISUNDERSTOOD..HE SNUBBED HER,” Cher tweeted. . “IVE BEEN ALIVE THROUGH 13 PRESIDENTS,& HES THE MOST VENGEFUL ILLITERATE,LIMP, IMITATION OF A MAN EVER.HE USES:us:AS HIS PERSONAL ATM.THE REASON HE DIDNT WANT TO SHAKE NANCY’S HAND IS BECAUSE HER [hands] ARE BIGGER THAN HIS [hands]. HE’S ALSO AFRAID OF HER.”

Does Cher really not realize how insane she looks in her anti-Trump tweets? For goodness sake, Cher, get off Twitter for a day and get some help for your Trump Derangement Syndrome. It’s clearly starting to eat away what’s left of your mind!

Shields and Brooks on Trump’s acquittal, Iowa caucus chaos

Syndicated columnist Mark Shields and New York Times columnist David Brooks join Judy Woodruff to discuss the week's political news, including the Senate's decision to acquit President Trump on both articles of impeachment, Trump's State of the Union address, the messy Iowa Democratic caucus results and which 2020 Democrats have momentum going into the New Hampshire primary.

‘Disgraceful’: Steve Scalise Slams Pelosi for Ripping Up Trump’s Speech

House Republican Whip Steve Scalise blasted Speaker Nancy Pelosi for ripping up President Trump’s speech after his address was over on Tuesday night, calling her actions “disgraceful.”

“I thought it was disgraceful. It’s unbecoming of a speaker,” Scalise told CBS News chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett in an interview for “The Takeout” podcast. “Frankly, Speaker Pelosi should apologize as well, because it’s not the image she should want to portray as the speaker of the House.”

Did Pelosi’s Stunt Disrespect the President’s Guests?

When Garrett mentioned to Scalise that Pelosi said she was justified in ripping the speech because she believed it was a “manifesto of mistruths,” Scalise wondered if her stunt actually represented Democrats disrespecting White House guests present at the speech, including a former Tuskegee airman and a soldier who was reunited with his family.

“I think she at a minimum owes a deep apology to the president and the country,” Scalise said.

Scalise said he believes Trump will be reelected by a wide margin in the Electoral College, and that the President could also win the popular vote in 2020, after losing that vote by 3 million votes in 2016.

Scalise Says Trump Will be Re-Elected

“The popular vote’s a different situation, but look, it’s possible,” Scalise said, before downplaying the importance of the popular vote. “Ultimately, it’s like the Super Bowl. You don’t get the trophy for getting more yards than the other team. You get the trophy for getting more points.”

Scalise also voiced his dissatisfaction with Republican senators Lisa Murkowski and Lamar Alexander who voted to acquit President Trump during his impeachment trial, but also believed the president’s behavior had been “inappropriate.” Scalise insisted that Mr. Trump had done nothing inappropriate or wrong when he asked Ukraine’s president to investigate a political rival.

“The president’s done his job,” Scalise said.

On Wednesday, Scalise tweeted in support of Republican Congresswoamn Kay Granger’s resolution to condemn Pelosi’s actions.

“Ripping up the President’s official State of the Union speech with the nation watching is beneath the dignity of the House of Representatives,” Scalise tweeted. “JUST NOW → @RepKayGranger introduced a resolution to condemn Nancy Pelosi’s disgraceful behavior.”

“She must be held accountable,” he added.

Nancy Pelosi Accuses Trump of Being ‘Sedated’ During State of the Union

In a long and rambling explanation of her actions during the State of the Union address, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi accused President Trump of being drugged ahead of the speech.

The insinuation might go down in the irony hall of fame.

Pelosi spoke to reporters about the exchange at the beginning of Trump’s speech, when he handed she and Vice President Mike Pence a copy of his remarks and appeared to either snub, or not see, an extended hand from the leader of the impeachment movement.

“It was also an act of kindness,” Pelosi claimed of the gesture, “because he looked to me like he was a little sedated.”

She added, “He looked that way last year too.”

Seriously, Nancy?

There’s a whole lot of stupid to unpack in that very short video clip.

First off, why did she make an uncontrollable shaking hands gesture to indicate somebody is sedated? That’s more indicative of her obvious fidgety nature.

Second, many observers of Nancy’s actions during the State of the Union address could have easily walked away with the impression that it was she, not the President of the United States, who was on something.

The constant erratic facial contortions were incredibly distracting to those watching the speech. As was the mumbling to herself. Not to mention the uncontrolled rage at the conclusion.

The New York Post’s Michael Goodwin describes Pelosi’s final act of tearing up the printed remarks: “In one sense, Pelosi’s distress is understandable. Trump’s address was long because he had a long list of big accomplishments to cite, and every Republican standing ovation had to drive her closer to the edge. She often seemed to be talking to herself, and finally snapped.”

Those seem like the actions of somebody either under the influence of something unnatural, or an anti-American under the rage-inducing influence of the President’s pro-America agenda.

Disgraceful Accusation

It’s not the first time a Democrat has accused the President of the United States of being on drugs, and it won’t be the last. Anything to make that 25th Amendment argument, eh libs?

Josh Earnest, former White House press secretary to Barack Obama, once accused then-candidate Trump of having “snorted his way through” the debates.

To be fair, Trump had suggested both he and Hillary Clinton submit to a drug test during the campaign, “like athletes.”

Comedian Tom Arnold, like Pelosi an unhinged victim of Trump Derangement Syndrome, baselessly claimed the President used to ‘snort Adderall’ on the set of The Apprentice.

Pelosi’s daughter appeared on Fox News and claimed her mother was not insinuating “he was drugged or something,” but rather, he “had a cold.”

Good to know Pelosi has handed down the perpetual liar genes.

Trump ‘acquitted forever,’ says Kellyanne Conway

President Trump was acquitted Thursday of both impeachment charges brought to the Senate by the House. The vote was along party lines, with the exception of Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah, who sided with Democrats and considered Trump guilty of abuse of power. Kellyanne Conway, counselor to the president, joins Judy Woodruff to discuss her "delight" at the outcome and Trump's State of the Union address.

Schiff: Romney displayed ‘moral courage’ in breaking with GOP on conviction

Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, was lead House manager in President Trump's Senate impeachment trial. He joins Judy Woodruff to discuss the Senate's decision to acquit Trump of both impeachment charges, the "moral courage" he feels Sen. Mitt Romney displayed by breaking with his party and why the choice not to call witnesses sets a "dangerous precedent."

Gingrich: Pelosi Should be Censured for “Viciously Partisan” Actions

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich called for Nancy Pelosi to be censured for her “viciously partisan” behaviour at the State of the Union.

Gingrich: “I am Disgusted and Insulted”

At the end of President Trump’s incredible State of the Union speech on Tuesday night, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi decided it would be a good idea to rip up a copy of the speech that the President had just given. Pelosi ripped it up while the cameras were still rolling, in some sort of cringeworthy “act of defiance” against the President who she is desperately trying to remove from office.

The speech included praise for World War II veterans, our brave border enforcement officers, young African-American students and premature babies, all of which Pelosi decided deserved to be torn up.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, the Speaker during the last impeachment process, was appalled by Pelosi’s behavior.

“As Speaker of the House for four State of the Unions by a President of the other party, I am disgusted and insulted by the viciously partisan action of Nancy Pelosi tearing up the speech,” Gingrich wrote on Twitter. “She isn’t clever or cute her childishness insults our American traditions -should be censured.”

Censure is the Only Way Forward!

Many users on Twitter were in stern agreement with Gingrich, and were disgusted with Pelosi’s actions.

I certainly agree with Gingrich that censuring Pelosi is the way forward. There is a difference between criticizing the President, which she has every right to do, and then being blatanly disrespectful to not only him, but all of his invited guests.

Furthermore, she couldn’t even wait until the speech had barely ended – another big middle finger to the President. Censuring occurs when a member’s actions “run counter to the group’s acceptable standards for individual behavior” – if this doesn’t fall under that category, then I don’t know what does!

New Video Shows Pelosi Practicing Ripping Up Trump’s State Of The Union Speech

By PoliZette Staff | February 5, 2020

A new clip has surfaced that clearly shows Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi practicing the act of ripping up President Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech before she actually did it.

This comes hours after Pelosi’s office denied allegations from Vice President Mike Pence that she had pre-planned the move of ripping up the speech. However, video clearly shows Pelosi practicing ripping up the speech under the table before it ended. In addition, cameras behind Pelosi shows that the pages were “pre-ripped” before the conclusion of the speech.

During an interview on “Fox & Friends” this morning, Pence was asked if he believed Pelosi pre-planned the controversial move.

“It felt like it,” he said. “Pelosi, in the final moments, tried to make it about her. And I think the American people see through it. I think they see through the pettiness, they see through the politics of all of it.”

Pelosi’s office fired back by slamming Pence and denying that she had panned the move beforehand.

“The Vice President’s complicity in last night’s reality show is disgusting. He is in no position to lecture anyone about the Constitution, decorum or respect as he cheerleads the mistruths of his master,” Drew Hammill, Pelosi’s spokesman, told Daily Mail.

Pelosi expressed no regrets about ripping up the speech, despite getting backlash from conservatives.

“He shredded the truth so I shredded his speech,” she reportedly said. “You are supposed to talk about the state of the union, not the state of your alleged mind.”

Tensions between Trump and Pelosi seemed to be at an all-time high from before the speech even began. When Trump arrived to deliver his address, he snubbed Pelosi as she tried to extend her hand for a handshake.

Given the fact that Pelosi has been leading the charge in the impeachment effort against Trump, it should come as no surprise that he does not want to shake her hand.

Tlaib, Omar Storm Out During Trump’s State of the Union Speech

Reps. Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and a host of other Democrat lawmakers stormed out of the President’s State of the Union speech Tuesday night.

It was one of several planned stunts by a bitter resistance party watching their recent impeachment efforts slip away.

Tlaib (D-MI), in an interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, claimed mention of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was what “triggered” her.

“I think, you know, even the mention of Brett Kavanaugh for me is a trigger,” she told Maddows’ gullible audience.

To nobody’s surprise, she then proceeded to slander Kavanaugh with a blatant lie.

“Just as a woman in America, the fact that he, you know, rightfully was accused and having an incredibly strong woman come before the public and the world and tell her story of sexual assault by this person that was appointed to the Supreme Court is just — I couldn’t stand still and not do anything about it, and I needed to walk away from that.”

Kavanaugh was never ‘rightfully accused’ and the numerous fake witnesses Democrats hauled before Congress in an attempt to stop his nomination were proven to be lying at worst, inconsistent at best with their accusations.

Kavanaugh should consider suing Tlaib for defamation.

Classless ‘Squad’

There is little doubt that the entire ‘Squad’ coordinated their little protest. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) announced prior to the State of the Union that they would be boycotting the speech.

“None of this is normal, and I will not legitimize it,” AOC insisted. “Consequently, I will not be attending the State of the Union.”

With that in mind, it was only a matter of time before Tlaib and Omar (D-MN) choreographed their stunt.

The Hill reported, “the seats for Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib were empty before the address was finished,” though they added Omar’s office did not comment.

Triggered

Several Democrats immediately took to social media to tweet about their brave and stunning protest, another indication that it was planned and coordinated.

“I just walked out of the #StateOfTheUnion,” Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) bragged. “I’ve had enough. It’s like watching professional wrestling. It’s all fake.”

Fake? He must be confusing the SOTU with the House impeachment scam.

“I just walked out of the #StateOfTheUnion,” Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-NJ) similarly conveyed. “I can’t stand a liar. This man’s presidency is a national tragedy.”

The ‘national tragedy’ is that we have intellectually deficient children like this serving as members of Congress.
