Chip Roy Won’t Rule Out Running Against Stefanik For GOP House Conference Seat: She ‘Should Have An Opponent’

On Wednesday, Congressman Chip Roy would not rule out running for the GOP leadership position left in the wake of former chairwoman Liz Cheney being ousted by her own party on Wednesday.

Mere hours after Cheney was pushed out for constantly criticizing former President Donald Trump, Roy was asked if he had any desire to become the next House Republican Conference chair.

Roy had previously criticized the choice of Elise Stefanik as a replacement, arguing that she was too liberal. Some conservatives agree.

Roy: ‘I Don’t Believe There Should Be A Coronation’

“We’re here to talk about other topics but I will say this, (New House GOP Chair Rep. Elise Stefanik) should have an opponent,” Roy said at a press conference.

Stefanik is one of Congress’s youngest members. Her influence began to rise in the GOP during the first impeachment trial, as many began to see her as the natural successor to an increasingly unpopular Liz Cheney.

“I don’t believe there should be a coronation,” Roy told reporters on Wednesday.

“I believe that if the [House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy wants us to be united, then he should take the time to do this the right way,” Roy added.

Before Cheney’s removal and Stefanik stepping into that role, Roy and other conservatives were already sounding the alarm that the new presumed House Chair was too liberal.

Multiple Outlets Were Reporting Wednesday That Roy Plans To Challenge Stefanik

The Political Insider reported on Tuesday, “With the vote to oust Congresswoman Liz Cheney from House Republican leadership looming, one conservative House Freedom Caucus member circulated a memo to every GOP office claiming that her presumed successor, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik isn’t much different from a Democrat.”

“On Tuesday, Congressman Chip Roy sent a memo asking the House Republican conference to reconsider Stefanik, citing her voting record, and encouraging Republicans to choose someone more conservative,” The Political Insider noted.

Multiple news outlets on Wednesday speculated that the Texas Republican already had his sights set on challenging Stefanik for her leadership seat.

And while the media regularly portrays Stefanik as hyper loyal to Donald Trump, and she even secured the endorsement of Trump himself, conservative critics have pointed out that she has regularly opposed Trump’s main platform issues

For example, Stefanik opposes the border wall.

NPR put together a list of Stefanik’s attacks on core Trump positions. Besides opposing the wall, she attacked Trump’s position on NATO and implied he was soft on Putin.

She opposed Trump’s move to block immigration from terror-heavy Middle East countries.

She attacked Trump for allegedly describing some third-world nations as “sh&thole countries.”

Stefanik told the Post-Star that “I disagree with his (Trump) position on Russia. I believe that Russia is an adversary,” Stefanik said. “In terms of Russia’s use of cyberattacks, in terms of Russia’s use of information operation and influence campaigns, I’m deeply concerned.”

Further, she backed the so-called Mueller investigation: “I disagree on his (Trump) attacks on law enforcement and the Department of Justice. I have confidence in the Mueller investigation. I have repeatedly and explicitly said that I support the Mueller investigation.”

Stefanik opposed Trump’s efforts to replace NAFTA, and is a proponent of comprehensive immigration reform – which conservative critics, along with Trump, argue is little more than amnesty.

It seems Roy may have a point.

When asked about the potential for a challenge from Roy, Stefanik told reportes on Wednesday, “We have a great support conference-wide.”

We Don’t Need A New Party, This Is Our Party Now

In January, there were rumblings that President Trump was considering starting his own political party.

This week, a new CBS News/YouGov poll shows that a whopping 70% of Republicans would consider joining a new party formed by Trump (with 33% of Republicans saying yes and an additional 37% saying maybe).

The poll additionally showed that 71% of Republicans said that Republican members of Congress who voted to impeach or convict Trump are “disloyal” while on 29% viewed these members as “principled.”

The talk of forming a new party should be left to losers like Evan McMullin and Miles Taylor (who hilariously said this week they were considering forming one).

RELATED: ‘Never-Trump’ Republicans Looking To Form Their Own Party

Do We Need A New Party?

Trump supporters don’t need a new party, we already have one – it called the Republican Party.

Is the GOP perfect? Hell no. Is it great? Nope. Is it a lost cause? Not by a long shot.

The truth is that pro-Trump Republicans aren’t fighting for control of the party, poll after poll makes it clear we are 100% in charge.

We don’t need a new party, what we need to do is clean up the party we already have.

Most conservatives are disenfranchised with the Republican Party – not because of anything the GOP’s grassroots have done – but because of what is being done by Republican-elected officials in Washington, DC (and in state capitols around the country).

I join my fellow conservatives in being angry at what the Liz Cheneys and Adam Kinzingers of the world are doing, but you want to know what?

We are responsible for them being there in the first place and we can remove them.

I know plenty of conservatives who feel completely and totally disillusioned with the party and who believe that it doesn’t matter who we vote for.

The Establishment

While I understand the frustration, this is exactly what the establishment wants you to feel.

They want you to feel powerless, they want you to simply shrug your shoulders and accept whatever crap sandwich they will serve you.

The establishment will tell you that we need to bury the hatchet and focus on winning back Republican majorities in the House and Senate in 2022.

Ignore them.

They want you to bury the hatchet they just shoved in your back, they want you to be the good little foot soldiers that voted for Bush and McCain and Romney, and most of all they want you to let them get back to doing things the way they used to do things before Trump showed up.

The establishment is right, winning back the majority in the House and Senate in 2022 is important, but not until we as conservatives win back our own party.

It is time to clean house. We don’t have to guess which Republicans we can trust, they have exposed themselves over the two months.

Every single member of the House who voted for the sham impeachment of President Trump should be primaried.

Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger and the rest of the Vichy wing of the GOP should pay the political price for their absolute disdain and disgust for their own constituents.

New Contract With America

We need a new Contract with America, except this time it needs to be a Contract for America First.

Every single Republican running for office should be asked to sign this Contract for America First and pledge to fight for their constituents.

They should pledge to fight to end illegal immigration, to fight for fair trade, to end foreign adventurism, to protect the middle class, to break the power of big business and big tech, to stand for working class Americans and to stand up to the media, Hollywood, and the left wing culture warriors.

RELATED: Biden Rescinds Trump’s National Emergency Proclamation At The Southern Border

This isn’t an effort that should be limited to Washington, DC.

The truth is that we need to defeat the establishment from sea to shining sea.

Every candidate for State House or State Senate or Governor should be asked to sign this Contract for America First.

Pro-Trump conservatives make up the vast majority of the Republican Party and its time we start acting like it.

If the establishment doesn’t like it then they can be the ones to start their own party. This is our party now.

Meghan McCain Calls Bashing Liz Cheney, Pro-Impeachment Republicans A ‘Losing Strategy’

“The View” co-host Meghan McCain said on Monday that reports of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy asking Congresswoman Liz Cheney to apologize for her vote to impeach former President Donald Trump was concerning.

McCain said Republican leadership taking this route was a “losing strategy.”

Watch the video below.

McCain On Cheney’s Impeachment Vote: ‘She Has Nothing To Apologize For’

McCain said on ABC, “There was a really interesting report that came out in Axios over the weekend that said that Kevin McCarthy actually asked her to apologize for voting for impeachment, and she said that.”

“She said people in the caucus asked me to apologize, and she said that publicly,” McCain said.

According to Axios, before the GOP conference met to decide the fates of Cheney and Marjorie Taylor Greene, GOP House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy had asked Cheney to apologize.

McCain said it worries her that McCarthy or any other Republican would think that voting for impeachment was something to apologize for.

“It’s interesting to know that it’s the leader of the caucus that asked her to do that, and she defiantly said she won’t apologize, and she has nothing to apologize for,” McCain insisted.

McCain Is Worried About The ‘Liz Cheneys Of The Party,’ Including Herself

She continued, “I now am feeling very concerned about the fact that the leader of Republicans in Congress seems to think that if you are for impeachment, you have something to apologize for and atone for, and I do think that’s a losing strategy.”

McCain is worried there isn’t enough love for the “Liz Cheneys of the party,” and included herself in the same category as Cheney.

“I’m very skeptical of the big-tent party narrative right now because it doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of love for the Liz Cheneys of the party,” McCain complained, adding, “which I guess at this point includes me.”

McCain Calls Cheney A ‘Red-blooded Conservative’

“The View” co-host also added that she is worried about the future of the GOP when a “red-blooded conservative” like Cheney can be treated this way.

“I’m very skeptical of the promises that we will respect the Liz Cheneys after this,” McCain said. “My question is, how long until we start trashing her?”

“I think she’s doing good work now, but at a certain point, she’s a red-blooded conservative,” McCain insisted. “She’s not a squish or a RINO.”

“She is not someone in the middle,” McCain finished.

McCain and Cheney exemplify what many in the conservative movement consider the Establishment of the GOP, who are out of step with the base that largely aligns with President Trump.

In a measure of how out of step she may be, Cheney has been censured by the Wyoming state Republican Party, and at least 10 County Republican Parties in Wyoming for her vote to impeach Trump.

Commentator Dick Morris recently said Cheney has a ‘snowball’s chance in Hell’ at getting re-elected.

The Time Is Now: America Needs To End The Poisonous Personalization Of Politics

I was in Washington for the Rally to Save America that President Trump spoke at on Wednesday.

I was honored to be there doing press for the organization that hosted the event, Women for America First. Hundreds of thousands of Americans peacefully gathered to have their voices heard.

The crowd was unlike anything I had ever experienced in my long political life. It was also the most diverse crowd I had ever seen at any Republican event.

Unlike a George W. Bush rally or a John McCain rally or a Mitt Romney rally, this event had white, black, and brown people, it had straight and gay, it had men and women, young and old, wealthy and working class, it was truly America’s melting pot.

I left that rally just as the President was finishing speaking, totally on Cloud Nine. The hundreds of thousands who had gathered had done so peacefully.

I left thinking this was the single most important political event that I have ever attended.

RELATED: Barack Obama Says Conservative Media ‘Ecosystem’ Is To Blame For Trump Supporters Storming Capitol

From High To Low

In the time it took me to walk from the Ellipse in front of the White House to my hotel just a few blocks away, I went from feeling like I was on Cloud Nine to feeling like I was trapped in some alternative universe hellscape.

When I walked back to my room, I saw the images on TV.

At first, it appeared that protestors were simply marching up to the Capitol to demand that Congress hear them.

Very quickly it became clear that a handful of bad actors were going to take advantage of this moment to turn a peaceful protest into a disgusting display of violence and anti-American behavior.

What happened at the Capitol is absolutely inexcusable. Violence is never the answer. Period.

What happened in the wake of this inexcusable violence is also very, very wrong.

The mainstream media, the left, and far too many average Americans took the actions of a handful of criminals and attributed them not only the hundreds of thousands who had gathered peacefully – but to the 75 million Americans who voted for Trump.

None of this will serve to heal America, none of this will serve to quell the violence, and none of this will serve to end the divisions that are crippling our nation.

RELATED: Report: House Members Nearly Come To Blows As Congress Preaches Unity To America

How To Truly Heal America And Our Divisions

What will help? An end to the personalization of politics. Nothing has been more detrimental to the health of our political discourse and nothing has been more toxic than the personalization of politics in this country.

You don’t have to respect politicians, but you should respect your family, your friends, your neighbors, your co-workers, and your fellow countrymen who have different political views than you – even if they support a politician that you don’t respect.

What separates our great American experiment from the broken third-world regimes of the world is that political tribalism doesn’t become personal tribalism.

We can and should disagree strongly about the policies that will shape our future, however, those disagreements should not poison and destroy families, friendships and communities.

There are those on both ends of the political spectrum who benefit from the personalization of politics. They raise money off the disintegration of our country and they sell division. They are ghouls.

No one is guiltier than the American media. They are merchants of division. They believe that optimism doesn’t sell so they gleefully sell fear and hate.

End The Personalization Of Politics

Sadly, we can’t expect the media or politicians to lead the healing of America. The good news is that we the people can do it. The day after the DC rally, I got into a heated on-line debate with a long-time friend of mine.

We have known and cared about each other for 20 years, but we deeply disagree about politics. Rather than simply burn our friendship to the ground, she texted me and asked, “do you have 10 minutes to talk?”

She FaceTimed me and we talked for probably half an hour.

We laughed, we disagreed, we reminisced, we even found common ground. She ended the call by saying, “why can’t more Americans do this?”

The truth is, we can.

The post The Time Is Now: America Needs To End The Poisonous Personalization Of Politics appeared first on The Political Insider.

Trump didn’t just break the GOP, he broke conservatism

Remember when you could all describe, in one succinct sentence, what the Republican Party was all about? “Family values, lower taxes, and a strong national defense.” Democrats spent decades trying to come up with their own pithy slogan and failed. We are just too diverse a coalition to condense into a single sentence. And turns out, we don’t need to, because the head of the conservative movement, Donald Trump, has exposed just how empty that statement of values always was.

It was quite the feat, actually, to take the one man with inarguably the worst record on “family values,” and then rally around him with zero sense of irony or shame. Trump had multiples and then cheated on them with pornstars while ignoring his children. He didn’t (and doesn’t) go to church, give to charity, or show any semblance of humility. In fact, the did the opposite of charity—he used a charity to grift.

In fact, has any one man ever embodied the seven deadly sins more perfectly than Trump? Pride, greed, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony, and sloth. He is a wretched human being, morally bankrupt and ethically corrupt. And through it all, evangelical Christians have stuck with him, proving that they never ever cared about any actual morality.

On national defense, Republicans have acknowledged that Trump is a puppet of Russian strongman Vladimir Putin. The current House Minority leader Kevin McCarthy, a solid Trump ally, who was recorded saying back in 2017, “There’s …there’s two people, I think, Putin pays: [California Rep. Dana] Rohrabacher and Trump … [laughter] … swear to God.” Then-Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, another Republican, thought that was funny, ““This is an off-the-record … [laughter] … NO LEAKS … [laughter] … alright?!”

Hilarious.

We went through a whole impeachment process in which Trump’s attempts to enlist foreign governments to help his reelection campaign were fully exposed, and Republicans did nothing but shrug.

But nothing tops revelations that Russia paid Taliban fighters in Afghanistan a bounty for every dead American they killed, and Trump couldn’t be bothered to give a damn. Instead, Putin’s loyal lapdog keeps checking in with Moscow every month, to discuss who knows what. You’d think Republicans would care about America’s top historical geopolitical opponent encouraging the murder of our troops, but nah.

They did get to the “lower taxes” bit, however. Nothing like destroying our nation’s finances in order to justify the cutting of our social nets to really get Republicans excited. … Then again, “bailing out billionaires” isn’t particularly the most populist and popular policy plank on which to hang all your electoral hopes.

So we know that all of this has utterly crushed the GOP, and we’re headed toward another anti-Republican wave election this fall. But now we’re seeing evidence that this goes deeper than simple anti-GOP sentiment. By exposing its flimsy pretenses, Trump is breaking conservatism itself. Check out Gallup’s polling on self-identified ideology over the course of this year:

American’s ideology Jan/Frb mar/Apr May/Jun Conservative Moderate Liberal
40 37 34
34 36 36
22 23 26

That’s a stunning collapse in such a short period of time, while the long-demonized term “liberal” is making a strong comeback. (Many Democrats prefer the safer-sounding “moderate,” as you can see if you follow the link above. Black, young, Latino Americans all prefer “moderate” to “liberal,” when we know they are politically liberal.)

More Gallup:

The decline in self-identified conservatism in 2020 has been seen about evenly among men and women, and among all political party groups.

However, it was more pronounced among adults in upper-income households as well as among middle-aged adults (aged 35 to 54) than their counterparts.

The conservative falloff has also been stronger among White and Hispanic Americans than Black Americans. Relatively few Black Americans (25%) identified as conservative in January/February, and thus there may have been less opportunity for the rate to decline.

Among those who earn more than $100,000, the number of self-identified conservatives dropped 11 points, from 40% to 29%. And since we’ve tracked suburban voters so closely for the last several cycles, they are also leaving the conservative fold, from 36% to 28%. In fact, and this is crazy—there are fewer conservatives now in the suburbs than in cities (33%)!

Still, don’t count out rural areas, getting hit harder and harder by COVID-19. They’ve gone from 50% conservative to 43%. That’s why states like Alaska, Iowa, Montana, and Ohio are suddenly back in play at both the presidential and Senate levels.

Republicans exist only insofar as conservatives exist, as they and Trump fight to make their tent even smaller and unwelcome to anyone who isn’t ideologically pure. Seeing at close range the kind of rampant hypocrisy, corruption, mismanagement, and incompetence inherent in conservatism, Americans are ditching the label and, with it, their votes for Republicans.

And they still have a lot further to fall.

With Trump’s Re-Election Almost Assured, Conservatives Need To Be Focused On The House And Senate

The Dems aren’t playing 3–D chess while the Republicans play checkers. Dems are ruthless and power-mad, but they’re malevolently intelligent, not smart in any normal sense of the word. They know the system front, back, and sideways. They have a script and stick to it, mostly.

They have a strategy (such as it is) driven by a rancid ideology, so they don’t have to “think,” really. Dems are emoting machines, not thinking machines. Dems perform, they do not work, as in “work for a living.”

The Dem strategy for impeachment runs parallel with other strategies with the shared goal of Fundamental Transformation – of this country, the dominant culture, contemporary society, norms, rules, conventions.

Impeachment is simply more chaos, more uncertainty, more unhappiness. These are all desirable outcomes, as far as today’s Democrats are concerned. Spread the misery far and wide. It’s what the white patriarchy deserves.

MORE NEWS: Rahm Emanuel: Athletes Who Kneel During Anthem Just Like People Kneeling During “Religious Services”

By my estimation, four Republican seats might swing but only two Democrats. So unless there is something really big in October, the Senate is about even. I would hate to lose those judges and hopefully a new budget deal.

IT IS ALL EXTREMELY DIABOLICAL

The television news, talk, and late-night shows are all highlighting how righteous the DemocRATs are and how evil, vindictive, and revengeful Trump is. The media is a powerful weapon against Trump. This goes on 24/7. Senators listen to the TV and the polls, and they continue to hear that Trump is bad and must go.

Clever sound-bites are burying the truth.

The Dems and their media partners are extremely skilled in their psychological propaganda. Now secret recordings are being paraded to boost their case. The media is not covering the Trump defense like they did the prosecution, of course. It does not see the light of day, on purpose. And even though Trump’s lawyers are confident they have the truth, he could still lose (see last paragraph).

People need to prepare themselves because God forbid, Trump could lose.

That’s exactly what George Soros and other billionaire globalists (communists) are striving for. I have said it again and again that merely reelecting Trump is not enough. Look what the House has already done with their majority. If the Dems win in the Senate and keep the House, Trump will hardly be able to move.

It’s high time to put that popcorn aside that Trump is going to win in a landslide and concentrate heavily on the House and the Senate. Other than the heavy election and ballot fraud, Trump’s reelection is pretty much assured.

MORE NEWS: Senator Tom Cotton: Nadler Denying Existence Of Portland Antifa Rioters Like Denying Americans Tanks Were In Baghdad

DEMS ARE LOSING THE BLACK VOTE AND ARE DESPERATE

The left knows that they are losing the Black vote (and probably the Hispanic too), so they are desperately trying to get the white moderates and independent votes thru blaming President Trump for all the staged civil unrest.

The false compassion, white demonization strategy is very risky and deadly for Democrats because it relies on violent anarchists committing criminal acts to create fear and uncertainty. At the same time, the Democrats do nothing (and enable the chaos).

Eventually, reasonable people will be looking for who can control and reverse all the damage done. How can the Democrats be the solution to the problem they created?

The most frustrating thing about politics isn’t the rabid anti-American left; it is the gutlessness of our pro-American Republicans, who, with almost no exception, I don’t doubt that they love this country. I don’t understand how they can’t understand that millions of people would cheerfully support them if they stood up to this garbage.

THE MORE I THINK ABOUT THINGS ARE COOL

No one is enthusiastic about Biden. Most Trump supporters can’t wait to vote for Trump and I would rather Trump poll a little behind as it will be a reminder to go and vote for him. At the same time, the sleepy Joe voters will hopefully repeat 2016 and just stay home thinking that Joe has it in the bag and there is no reason to waste time voting for him, and they aren’t all that excited to vote for him anyway.

MORE NEWS: Suspect Taunts Cops In Viral Video, Saying ‘Come And Get Me B***h’ – Then They Do

I don’t think the Democrats are focusing on the “anybody, but Trump” vote is a winning strategy.

THAT’S WHY WE MUST DO THIS

Everyone here needs to get off of their ass and vote. We need people to do more than type about their beliefs. Vote. Get your friends and family to vote. This is one of the critical moments in history. If you don’t vote, you should be too ashamed to ever chat in forums like this again.

Actor James Woods is Back on Twitter, Immediately Wrecks AOC, Hillary, and Mitt Romney

Conservative actor James Woods, after a nearly 10-month hiatus, is back on Twitter, and he immediately went off on a host of liberal politicians as only he can.

Woods, best known for his roles in the films Once Upon a Time in America and Casino, made his triumphant return to the social media platform by making a mockery of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Sharing a video of the New York socialist arguing before Congress that the common phrase ‘pull yourself up by your bootstraps’ is a literal impossibility, Woods announced he was back.

“I’ve tried so hard this past year to live without the wealth of knowledge available on Twitter, but this kind of blazing insight can be found nowhere else, so… I’m back!” he explained.

Woods added the hashtag “#AOCStillAMoron.”

RELATED: Somebody Arrest James Woods, This Beatdown of Chuck Schumer Is Going to Leave a Mark

Hillary, Warren, and Mitt Too

While most mere mortals would have rested on their laurels (Wait, laurels? Somebody ask AOC if it’s literally possible to sleep on shrubs), Woods fired off a number of other gems to entertain the masses.

Sharing a report that several women of color had abandoned presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren’s campaign, Woods wrote: “Not enough room in the Warren TeePee for women of color? Not a surprise, considering what a liar and hypocrite she has been since, well, forever…”

Woods shared a post by Hillary Clinton regarding the impeachment witch hunt of President Trump and needled her over her epic election loss.

“You, of course, will never be impeached,” he surmised. “One up side to being the most famous loser in American history.”

Even Senator Mitt Romney, who recently was the only Republican to vote in favor of convicting President Trump during the impeachment trial, was unable to escape Woods’ wrath.

“This is the guy who passes a silent stinker in the elevator and then proceeds to lecture everybody about intestinal management,” he said of Romney. “You’ll never come back from this one, Mittens. Even your magic pants won’t save you.”

RELATED: Donald Trump Jr., James Woods Hilariously Respond to Reports Hillary is Running in 2020

Let’s Keep Him on Twitter

Woods is a favorite of conservatives on Twitter because he is the rare Republican residing in the liberal cesspool of Hollywood and he rarely, rarely holds back on his feelings.

He has often tried baiting Hillary into making another run against Trump in 2020 because he knows she’d be a three-time Presidential loser.

Clinton, it has been reported, would not refuse the role of vice president should it be offered.

Woods’ history of completely annihilating liberals on social media is the stuff of legend.

Here are some examples:

That time he hammered Michelle Obama for claiming women somehow let Trump become President.

His response to Obama claiming the toughest part about being First Lady was enduring the racism.

As well as some brutal mockery of Maxine Waters.

Woods was suspended from Twitter in April under the guise of “targetted harassment,” an oft-used excuse by the social media platform to censor conservatives.

In May, he announced that he was fed up with repeated attempts to censor his comments and said he had no intention of using Twitter again.

We’re glad he changed his mind. Stick around for a while, eh Mr. Woods? Things are just starting to get interesting as the election draws near.

Meghan McCain Breaks Her Silence About Feud With Whoopi Goldberg After Being Told To ‘Please Stop Talking’

By PopZette Staff | January 30, 2020

A few weeks ago, tensions on the ABC talk show “The View” boiled over when Whoopi Goldberg screamed at conservative cohost Meghan McCain to “please stop talking” during a heated exchange. Now, McCain has broken her silence to address this feud with Goldberg.

McCain opened up about the fight between her and Goldberg while appearing on the Bravo talk show “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” last night

“It was rough, and I will say that she was having a bad day,” McCain explained. “We talked about it that night and the next day and… you know, it’s live TV and it’s really intense stressful times for everyone. I adore her. She apologized off air, she apologized on air, we all f— up on the show. It’s live every day and I forgive her, I love her.”

RELATED: Dave Chapelle Defends Trump Supporters – Says He Doesn’t See Them ‘As My Enemy’

She went on to claim that she is so close to Goldberg that she has promised to leave the show if the Oscar-winner ever does.

“If she leaves, I go,” McCain said. “Whoopi is the anchor of the show and my life there. She always picks us up when we’re down. If she’s gone… if she jumps I jump. I adore her and I need her as the moderator.”

However, many will find this friendship hard to believe after watching how Goldberg and McCain treat one another on air.

This isn’t the only feud that McCain is rumored to be involved in on “The View.” During this same interview last night, she was asked about a fight she was rumored to have had with conservative cohost Abby Huntsman, who left “The View” earlier this month.

“Thank you for asking me, no one has had the courtesy to ask me directly… Abby and I have been friends for over 10 years,” McCain began. “We are still very good friends. We are very close, I just talked to her yesterday morning. She is campaigning with her dad. I think she was genuinely conflicted with her dad running for governor and her not helping and that is the reason she left.”

McCain did not deny that she had indeed gotten in a fight with Huntsman.

“We did get in a fight, which is a very small fight and a friend fight,” the daughter of John McCain said. “All friendships have ups and downs and it was sort of bizarre to me, and I think bizarre to her, to have the fact that we got in one fight in the two years we’ve worked together on the show to be put under dissection in the media, to be weaponized.”

RELATED: Tulsi Gabbard Despised at CNN, Shut Out of Town Hall

“It’s cruel, it’s very cruel and this has been a really, really, rough few weeks for me,” McCain concluded. “I didn’t want her to go, selfishly, because I thought she was an amazing co-host and just having a friend there is lovely. But it’s been really emotionally taxing to have our friendship used this way in the media.”

There certainly is tons of drama on “The View,” which now has McCain as the only conservative on the panel with a gaggle of loudmouth liberals. This results in McCain being brutally attacked on a daily basis by Goldberg, Joy Behar, and a slew of other left-wingers, and this has to take a toll on the young Republican.

McCain may claim that everyone is friends behind the scenes, but it seems obvious that the drama on “The View” will not be ending anytime soon.
