Kevin McCarthy Warns ‘Do Not Trust Nancy Pelosi’ When She Says She Won’t Act On Packing Supreme Court

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) went on Fox News on Thursday to warn those who are against packing the Supreme Court that they should not relax just because House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) claimed that she would not to pursue Democrat proposals to expand the number of justices on the Supreme Court.

During this appearance, McCarthy reminded everyone of comments Pelosi had made on impeachment before using impeachment twice against former President Donald Trump.

McCarthy’s Warning About Pelosi

“What you find from the Democrats, they don’t want to just defund the police. They want to remove all police officers,” he said. “That’s the new cry. But now, we’re finding what you just played here. They want to dismantle the Supreme Court because they’re trying to dissolve the American way.”

“Think about it, three co-equal branches. They have two branches right now,” McCarthy added. “The only thing that holds them back from their socialist views going forward that are unconstitutional like a D.C. statehood is the Supreme Court that would stand up for the American people.”

Backstory: Democrats Move To Introduce Legislation To Pack The Supreme Court

“So they want to pack the court to protect their power,” he said. “It’s all about one thing, control. And do not trust Nancy Pelosi when she says she will not move it.”

“Remember, that’s what she said about impeachment before she moved impeachment twice,” McCarthy concluded. “We’ve watched her time and time again to come to what the socialists actually asked for. She surrendered to the socialists many times before, and she will do it again.”

McCarthy Attacks Democrats

This came hours after McCarthy publicly attacked Democrats for trying to pack the Supreme Court.

“This should scare every single American, regardless of where you stand politically,” McCarthy warned. “The Democrats inside Congress today would rather dismantle this nation than dignify the Constitution. This just goes to show how far the Democratic Party has moved. There almost are no longer common sense or moderate Democrats elected.”

“Even Joe Biden in the past was opposed to this,” he added. “Those Democrats on the Supreme Court were opposed to this because what this simply does is it’s about control.”

“It’s overtaking a branch of government simply to have your control over a nation,” McCarthy said. “It must be the scariest thing I’ve ever heard them do. I never thought they would go this far. But now they’re not only proposing it — they’re moving it in legislation form.”

Report: Mitch McConnell Wants A Truce With Donald Trump

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, according to a report in The Hill, is seeking to bury “his running feud with President Trump.”

In a discussion with reporters, McConnell (R-KY) expressed no interest in addressing fiery comments by the former President and instead is seeking to unify the Republican Party.

“What I’m concentrating on is the future and what we are confronted with here is a totally left-wing administration, with a slight majority in the House, a 50-50 Senate trying to transform America into something no one voted for last year,” he said.

Senate Minority Whip John Thune (R-SSD), McConnell’s top deputy, also refused to address Trump’s comments.

“Right now, it’s sort of a one-sided thing. The leader has no animosity and he’s made it very clear he wants to work with the president to get the majority back,” said Thune.

McConnell’s Feud With Trump Began With McConnell

McConnell’s neutral stance is a far cry from early January when he was blaming Trump for the Capitol riots and expressing support for impeachment, comments which kicked the feud into high gear.

McConnell, according to a Fox News report at the time, “told associates that impeachment will help rid the Republican Party of Trump and his movement.”

Trump ravaged the GOP leader for echoing Democrat comments about the riot, issuing a statement saying McConnell is “a dour, sullen and unsmiling political hack.”

“The Republican Party can never again be respected or strong with political ‘leaders’ like Sen. Mitch McConnell at its helm,” he added.

Trump slammed McConnell again during a speech at Mar-a-Lago this past weekend, describing him as a “dumb son of a bitch” and a “stone-cold loser.”

McConnell and Thune, though, weren’t taking the bait.

Is The Establishment Coming Around?

Is McConnell’s efforts to bury the feud between him and Trump a sign of an America First unity tour heading into the 2022 and 2024 elections?

Another member of the establishment wing of the GOP, Nikki Haley, seems to have done an about-face on her criticism of Donald Trump.

After originally saying Trump can’t run for federal office ever again because he’d “fallen so far,” Haley hinted she would support him by bowing out in 2024 if he decides to run.

“I would not run if President Trump ran, and I would talk to him about it,” Haley told reporters.

McConnell, since his comments in January, has indicated he would “absolutely” back Trump in 2024 should he win the Republican Party nomination.

poll almost immediately after the Capitol riot from Axios-Ipsos showed Republican voters overwhelmingly “siding with President Trump over Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell — big time.”

Perhaps the polls are the true reason Haley and McConnell want to end their feud with Trump.

Trump Calls CNN Report About Denied Gaetz Meeting Fake News, Advises Them To Focus On Eric Swalwell

Donald Trump fired back at CNN over a report claiming Congressman Matt Gaetz asked for and was denied a meeting with the former President as he is currently engrossed in sexual misconduct allegations.

CNN anonymously cited “two people familiar with the matter” in their report indicating “Gaetz tried to schedule a visit with Trump after it was first revealed that he was being investigated.”

Trump fired back, labeling CNN “fake news” while claiming the report was “false.”

“Fake News CNN, relying on all anonymous sources, meaning they probably made the whole thing up, wrote a very dishonest story claiming Congressman Matt Gaetz asked for a meeting with me at Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Florida, and was denied,” he said in a statement.

“This is completely false.”

Trump Advises CNN To Check Into Swalwell Instead Of Gaetz

The former President went on to suggest that CNN should consider covering the Eric Swalwell scandal involving his reported association with a Chinese spy.

A bombshell Axios report in December indicated that a woman by the name of Christine Fang (aka Fang Fang) “took part in fundraising activity for Rep. Swalwell’s 2014 re-election campaign” and interacted with the Congressman “at multiple events over the course of several years.”

Fang had allegedly served as a Chinese Intelligence operative with China’s Ministry of State Security.

“Why doesn’t CNN investigate and write about lightweight Democrat Congressman Eric Swalwell, who had a torrid and physical relationship with the Chinese spy Fang-Fang, but is somehow on the once-prestigious House Intelligence Committee,” Trump wondered.

Not only was he never asked to step down by his Democrat colleagues, but Swalwell was actually promoted as a House Impeachment Manager during the Senate trial against Trump.

According to Axios, Swalwell was notified by federal investigators about Fang in 2015, and has not been accused of any wrongdoing.

Trump’s Fired Up

Trump couldn’t resist taking a jab at Swalwell by citing his “record-setting 0% in the polls” when he dropped out of the presidential race in 2020.

“[Swalwell] has been compromised and is a national security threat to the United States,” Trump added. “He should be removed from the Committee immediately!”

Gaetz also denied he requested a meeting with Trump.

He called the CNN report “a total lie” and added, “no such meeting was denied nor sought.”

Swalwell in March filed a lawsuit against Trump for his alleged role in the Capitol riot on January 6th.

McConnell Vs. Trump! Warring Wings Of GOP May Face Off In Alaska Senate Race

The Senate Leadership Fund (SLF) announced on Friday that it will support Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) in her re-election campaign.

The group is aligned with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who has said that he will “Absolutely” support Murkowski’s re-election bid.

Murkowski, often described as a moderate Republican, voted to convict former President Donald Trump during his second impeachment trial in January.

After her vote, the Alaska Republican Party voted to censure Murkowski for her conviction vote.

They also said that they would recruit a Republican challenger – which could set up a head-to-head matchup between the establishment wing of the GOP and Trumpworld.

RELATED: Republicans Release Video Of Migrants Caught Crossing The Border Right Behind Them

Race Will Be Portrayed As Experience Vs. Outsider

The 2022 midterm elections may come down to a simple matter of who decides the future direction of the Republican Party.

The McConnell-backed SLF had a war chest last election cycle of $475 million will now throw it’s weight behind not just Murkowski, but could also back a number of establishment incumbents like her.

SLF President Steven Law said, “Alaska needs the kind of experienced representation that Lisa Murkowski provides in the United States Senate. Whether fighting for Alaskan interests like expanding energy production and protecting fisheries, or advancing conservative priorities by confirming judges and cutting taxes, her strong leadership is vitally important to Alaska’s future.”

In response to the SLF statement, Mary Ann Pruitt, advisor to Kelly Tshibaka – who is running against Murkowski in the GOP primary – released a statement saying, “It’s just like D.C. insiders to ignore the voices of Alaska voters to protect one of their own.”

Kelly Tshibaka is positioning herself as an outsider, saying in a video of her intent to run that Murkowski was “so out of touch” for voting to convict Trump after he had already left office.

Prior to her current run for Senate, Tshibaka has worked in the office of inspector general for the U.S. Postal service, Federal Trade Commission, and Department of Justice.

She resigned her position in Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy’s administration to concentrate on her run for the Senate.

Republicans Picking Sides

Within the Republican Party, it is starting to look like a matter of picking sides. That began to be apparent during the waning days of the Trump administration.

A new breed of Trump-supporting, outspoken Republican Congress members like Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert came along.

Opposite that Trump wing stand establishment Republicans like Rep. Liz Cheney and McConnell.

From almost right after his second impeachment trial, Trump has had an eye on supporting any primary challenger of several members of Congress who had voted to impeach him.

It was thought that, should any of those Congress members received a primary challenge, Trump supporters would be fired up enough to support the challengers as well.

Cheney garnered a primary challenge almost immediately following her impeachment vote. Several others have as well. Nearly every Republican Senator who had voted to convict Trump was censured by their local party.

Establishment GOP Should Know Trump Is Ready And Waiting For 2022

Donald Trump is already in position to endorse candidates and be a major player in the 2022 midterm election.

His new Save America PAC has, in the words of those in the know, ‘gargantuan’ amounts of cash.

He has already began endorsing candidates, including Sens. Tim Scott (R-SC), John Kennedy (R-LA), Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC), South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster (R), and former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders in her run for Governor of Arkansas.

Trump most recently endorsed Alabama Congressman Mo Brooks in his bid for the Senate, and America First Senator Rand Paul.

No word yet if Trump will be traveling to Alaska to give out an endorsement to Kelly Tshibaka. However, both wings of the party seem to be flush with cash, and 2022 could prove to be an interesting year.

Lara Trump Calls Out AOC And Democrats For Hypocrisy On Border Crisis

Fox News contributor Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump, just called out Democrats like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for their hypocrisy regarding the border crisis that many say was created by Joe Biden.

Lara Trump Sounds Off

“We had the most secure border under my father-in-law, under President Donald Trump that we have had in decades, and I think the best thing possible is to discourage people from making that really dangerous, awful journey north through our southern border,” Trump said.

“The problem is that the Biden administration has said, ‘Well, if they come, we’ll take you in,’ So guess what’s going to continue to happen,” she added. “You’re going to continue to have all of these children, you know, flooding our southern border.”

“It is so sad. It is so hard to watch, but we have to get this under control,” Trump continued. “This is not fair to these kids. It’s not fair to Americans who are footing the bill now. $86 million to pay for hotel rooms for illegal immigrants.”

“People that are breaking our law, coming to America, we are paying $86 million for hotel rooms,” she said. “It is totally unacceptable, but you know what? We don’t expect to see that change because this seems almost like it’s part of the Biden plan, sadly.”

Trump Doubles Down

Not stopping there, Trump went on to call out the “total hypocrisy” that is happening here.

“It’s total hypocrisy. You bring up a great point,” she continued. “The way they covered this under the Trump administration versus the Biden administration is total hypocrisy.”

“Where is the outrage from the folks on the left? Where is AOC down there doing a photo op crying in front of a wall?” Trump said. “Because I have news for her, it’s much worse right now than it ever was under the Trump administration, yet it has been crickets from those folks. I think it tells a very scary story.”

‘They know that they have millions of illegal immigrants coming to America,” she added. “They are trying to change our voting laws. They are hoping one day that all of these folks can go in and vote with no ID because that’s one of the things in HR-1 that they are proposing.”

“These are their new voters, and it is a terrifying prospect,” Trump concluded. “If we let everybody flee flow over our southern border guys, we lose our country. It is a very, very scary thing going on.”

Mitt Romney Is Awarded JFK ‘Profile In Courage Award’ For Impeachment Vote

On Friday, the John F. Kennedy Library announced it would give its Profile in Courage Award to Sen. Mitt Romney for his “historic vote” to impeach President Trump during his first impeachment trial.

Part of the reasoning was Romney’s willingness to break with the rest of his party to cast a controversial – to Republicans – vote.

Caroline Kennedy, Former Ambassador and daughter of President Kennedy, said in a statement, “Senator Romney ‘s commitment to our Constitution makes him a worthy successor to the senators who inspired my father to write Profiles in Courage.”

“He reminds us that our Democracy depends on the courage, conscience and character of our elected officials,” she added.

Romney Was Only GOP Vote In Trump’s First Impeachment Trial

According to The Hill, “Romney was the sole Republican senator to vote to impeach Trump on a charge of abusing his power last February over the former president’s effort to press Ukraine to investigate now-President Biden and his son Hunter’s dealings in Ukraine.”

“In doing so, Romney made history – he became the first U.S. senator to vote to convict a president of his own party on an impeachment charge,” the outlet added.

Romney responded to his award, “I’m humbled by the Kennedy family’s recognition today. But I see courage every week from my colleagues in the Senate, many of whom make tough decisions to do what they believe is right even though it may be politically unpopular.”

Romney And Six Other Republicans Voted To Convict Trump In Second Trial

In Trump’s second impeachment trial over his alleged role in inciting the Capitol riot on January 6, Romney and six other Republican senators voted to impeach Trump.

Romney said on Friday, invoking his father and former Michigan Governor George Romney, that he “did what was right regardless of consequence.”

“I aspire to his example, though I have failed from time to time,” Sen. Romney said. “We must subordinate our political fortunes to the causes of freedom, equal opportunity and truth, particularly as they are under assault here and abroad.”

The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation created this award in 1989 to honor the 35th president’s commitment to public service and is presented each year on Kennedy’s birthday to leaders who exhibit “politically courageous leadership.”

Lisa Murkowski Censured By Alaska GOP After Turning On Trump – Primary Challenger To Be Recruited

Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) has just been censured by the Alaska Republican Party after she voted to impeach former President Donald Trump last month.

Murkowski Gets Bad News

The Alaska GOP also announced plans to “recruit” a primary challenger if Murkowski runs for reelection, but the Republican National Committee (RNC) and the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) won’t be helping them if they follow through with this.

National party chair Ronna McDaniel had told Fox News back in January that “the RNC stays neutral in primaries for a very good reason. Because somebody has to be there to pick up the pieces of difficult primaries and help bring the party back together.”

After Murkowski was censured, a RNC official doubled down in saying that the party committee remains neutral in Republican primaries.

Murkowski Censured By Alaska Republican Party

On Saturday, the Alaska Republican Party passed a resolution that officially censured Murkowski for her impeachment trial vote, as well as multiple other votes that Alaskan Republicans were angry about.

The resolution stated that these other votes included her opposition to repealing the Affordable Care Act, better known as ObamaCare, voting “present” rather than in support of the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and her support for the confirmation of Rep. Deb Haaland as interior secretary earlier this month.

The resolution added that Murkowski has “repeatedly spoken critically of President Trump throughout his term in office” and that “the Alaska Republican Party hereby separates itself from Sen. Murkowski’s conviction vote of President Trump.”

It then said that “the party hereby will recruit a Republican primary challenger to oppose and prohibit Sen. Murkowski from being a candidate in any Republican primary to the extent legally permissible.”

Trump To Campaign Against Murkowski

This comes days after Trump pledged to campaign against Murkowski next year if she decides to run.

“She represents her state badly and her country even worse. I do not know where other people will be next year, but I know where I will be – in Alaska campaigning against a disloyal and very bad senator,” Trump said.

President Trump Slams Washington Post For Now-Corrected ‘Hoax’ Georgia Election Investigation Story

On Monday, former President Donald Trump responded to The Washington Post making multiple massive corrections to their story that accused Trump of tampering with the Georgia elections, calling the Post’s claims a “hoax.”

The damning quotes from an unnamed “source,” that Washington Post now admits Trump did not make, were used by Democrats in his second impeachment trial.

RELATED: Woke-A-Cola: Coke Will Only Work With Law Firms That Abide By 30% Diversity Quotas

Washington Post Admits Damning Quotes Were False

The Washington Post corrected their bombshell story that originally claimed Trump pressured Georgia’s top elections investigator, Frances Watson, to “find the fraud” in his state’s election.

The Post also claimed that the then-president supposedly told her she would be “a national hero” if she found any discrepancies.

Actual audio of the call was published last week by The Wall Street Journal, which proved the Trump quotes were false.

The quotes were used against Trump during his second impeachment trial.

Obviously this is a major correction and story. This is no mere typo.

The Washington Post, which cited the quotes to one person who was an anonymous source, corrected their story Monday.

Trump’s statement read, “The Washington Post just issued a correction as to the contents of the incorrectly reported phone call I had with respect to voter fraud in the Great State of Georgia.”

“While I appreciate the Washington Post’s correction, which immediately makes the Georgia Witch Hunt a non-story, the original story was a Hoax, right from the very beginning,” Trump blasted.

Trump Pulls No Punches

The former President also noted that media bias seems to “slant one way.”

Trump added, “You will notice that establishment media errors, omissions, mistakes, and outright lies always slant one way—against me and against Republicans.”

“Meanwhile, stories that hurt Democrats or undermine their narratives are buried, ignored, or delayed until they can do the least harm—for example, after an election is over,” Trump wrote.

Trump Calls News Outlets ‘Political Entities’

Trump said news coverage of the coronavirus vaccine was part of this bias.

Trump said, “Look no further than the negative coverage of the vaccine that preceded the election and the overdue celebration of the vaccine once the election had concluded.”

“A strong democracy requires a fair and honest press,” he continued. “This latest media travesty underscores that legacy media outlets should be regarded as political entities—not journalistic enterprises.”

Donald Trump then “thanked” the Post for its update to their story.

“In any event, I thank the Washington Post for the correction,” Trump wrote.

Gretchen Whitmer Defends Cuomo – Whines About ‘Different Standard’ Compared To Trump

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) just spoke out to defend New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) after he was accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women, whining that he was being held to a “different standard” than former President Donald Trump.

Whitmer Appears To Defend Cuomo

“Is there a different standard for different sides of the aisle? We just had a president who lasted all four years with numerous allegations against him, so far as rape,” Whitmer told Politico.

“No one on his own side of the aisle was making observations about whether or not he should stay in office,” she added. “So is there a different standard? I guess one could conclude that.”

Cuomo has been accused of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior in the workplace by multiple female former aides. Whitmer’s latest comments on his situation appear to be her backtracking from prior comments that she made, as she previously called for Cuomo to be investigated.

Whitmer’s Previous Comments On Cuomo

“I think the allegations here are very serious and need to be taken seriously and I do think that an impartial, thorough, independent investigation is merited and appropriate,” Whitmer said earlier this month.

CNN host Jake Tapper then asked the Michigan governor if she thinks Cuomo “sexually harassed (former aide) Charlotte Bennett.”

“These are serious allegations and if accurate and true, and um, I think we have to take action,” she responded, noticeably not elaborating on what “action” she wants to see be taken.

Tapper went on to ask Whitmer about her “emotional reaction” to the allegation, at which time she said that she had a “gut-wrenching” response that she thought “a lot of women in America did.”

Democrats Turn On Cuomo

Numerous Democrats have turned on Cuomo in the wake of this scandal and called on him to resign. As of this writing, Cuomo has stubbornly refused to resign, defiantly telling lawmakers that they will need to impeach him if they want him gone.

This seems like a real possibility, as New York lawmakers have already begun the initial part of the lengthy impeachment process against him.

John Dean of Nixon/Watergate Fame Predicts Trump Will Be Indicted Soon

Former Nixon White House Counsel John Dean said on Thursday that he believes it is only a matter of days until former President Donald Trump is indicted. The name John Dean might sound familiar, he served as White House Counsel to Richard Nixon during the Watergate years.

Dean’s prediction comes from recent events surrounding former Trump attorney Michael Cohen.

In a report from The Hill, Cohen has allegedly met with the Manhattan District Attorney’s office on seven different occasions, apparently pertaining to a criminal investigation into Trump’s taxes.

Cohen, is serving a three-year home confinement for tax fraud, bank fraud, and lying to Congress about payoffs to adult film star Stormy Daniels, who allegedly had sexual encounters with Trump.

Dean opined:

“I assure you that you do not visit a prosecutor’s office 7 times if they are not planning to indict those about whom you have knowledge. It is only a matter of how many days until DA Vance indicts Donald & Co.”

Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. (D), is currently conducting a wide-ranging investigation into Trump’s family business and finances.

RELATED: Violent Extremists Attack Federal Courthouse In Portland

What Is The Manhattan D.A Looking For?

Back in February, the Supreme Court ruled to allow the release of Trump’s tax returns. Trump has consistently said that at some point he would release his returns, but has yet to do so.

While the Court has allowed the release of the returns, they will not be made public, intentionally. The ruling simply allows them to be used in grand jury proceedings, which are to remain confidential.

However, former U.S. Attorney Harry Litman said that if Vance charges Trump, he is “98 percent sure (Trump’s tax information) will become public knowledge.”

Besides looking at Trump’s tax returns for the years 2011-2018, there are several aspects of Trump’s finances and business dealings that Vance is looking into.

According to The Hill, one of those things is Trump’s Seven Springs estate in New York. Vance’s office is trying to find out if the value of the property was inflated in order to reap greater benefits from financial institutions.

The Hill report goes on to say that some of the other things being investigated that are related to Trump’s finances are reports of very low federal income tax payments and hundreds of millions of dollars of loans that are coming due for repayment.

RELATED: NY Assembly Takes First Step Toward Impeachment Of Cuomo, Police Report Filed Over Groping Allegations

Damaging Trump Politically

The speculation is also on whether any indictment would harm Trump’s political future, and if so, how much?

Trump’s political opponents say that any damage may be done among more moderate supporters instead of staunch Trump supporters.

Democrat Strategist Jamal Simmons told The Hill he believes the base of his supporters “won’t care.”

He added, “But for everyone else — for that khakis-and-blue-shirt-wearing office worker in the middle of Ohio who is just trying to keep his taxes low, for that average Republican voter out there — I can’t imagine, given other alternatives, they would choose Donald Trump again if he was facing legal jeopardy.”

Simmons may be engaged in some wishful thinking. Susan Del Percio, a Republican strategist, but also a sometime critic of Trump, stated, “Is his goose cooked on this? It depends on what’s in there.”

RELATED: Pelosi: ‘Of Course’ There Could Be A Scenario Where We Overturn State-Certified Election of GOP Rep.

They Are Not Stopping With Donald Trump

Indictment and conviction of just Donald Trump are not enough.

Not only will Democrats keep coming after Trump for alleged crimes, they are also eyeing his family as well.

In February, Donald Trump Jr. was deposed by District of Columbia Attorney General Karl Racine as part of a lawsuit brought by the district over the misuse of funds by Trump’s inaugural committee.

Former First Daughter Ivanka Trump was also deposed in relation to the same inauguration fraud allegations.

In October 2020, Eric Trump, who runs the day-to-day operations of the Trump Organization, was deposed as part of the New York Attorney General’s investigation into whether the Trump Organization improperly inflated the value of its assets.

Trump has called the extensive investigation “a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt in the history of our Country.”
