Trump Calls CNN Report About Denied Gaetz Meeting Fake News, Advises Them To Focus On Eric Swalwell

Donald Trump fired back at CNN over a report claiming Congressman Matt Gaetz asked for and was denied a meeting with the former President as he is currently engrossed in sexual misconduct allegations.

CNN anonymously cited “two people familiar with the matter” in their report indicating “Gaetz tried to schedule a visit with Trump after it was first revealed that he was being investigated.”

Trump fired back, labeling CNN “fake news” while claiming the report was “false.”

“Fake News CNN, relying on all anonymous sources, meaning they probably made the whole thing up, wrote a very dishonest story claiming Congressman Matt Gaetz asked for a meeting with me at Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Florida, and was denied,” he said in a statement.

“This is completely false.”

Trump Advises CNN To Check Into Swalwell Instead Of Gaetz

The former President went on to suggest that CNN should consider covering the Eric Swalwell scandal involving his reported association with a Chinese spy.

A bombshell Axios report in December indicated that a woman by the name of Christine Fang (aka Fang Fang) “took part in fundraising activity for Rep. Swalwell’s 2014 re-election campaign” and interacted with the Congressman “at multiple events over the course of several years.”

Fang had allegedly served as a Chinese Intelligence operative with China’s Ministry of State Security.

“Why doesn’t CNN investigate and write about lightweight Democrat Congressman Eric Swalwell, who had a torrid and physical relationship with the Chinese spy Fang-Fang, but is somehow on the once-prestigious House Intelligence Committee,” Trump wondered.

Not only was he never asked to step down by his Democrat colleagues, but Swalwell was actually promoted as a House Impeachment Manager during the Senate trial against Trump.

According to Axios, Swalwell was notified by federal investigators about Fang in 2015, and has not been accused of any wrongdoing.

Trump’s Fired Up

Trump couldn’t resist taking a jab at Swalwell by citing his “record-setting 0% in the polls” when he dropped out of the presidential race in 2020.

“[Swalwell] has been compromised and is a national security threat to the United States,” Trump added. “He should be removed from the Committee immediately!”

Gaetz also denied he requested a meeting with Trump.

He called the CNN report “a total lie” and added, “no such meeting was denied nor sought.”

Swalwell in March filed a lawsuit against Trump for his alleged role in the Capitol riot on January 6th.

Monica Lewinsky Nails It With ‘I Have A Joke’ Clinton Reference

Monica Lewinsky, the political world’s most famous intern, took a shot at the ‘I have a joke’ social media trend and delivered a knockout blow.

The competition was initiated by Nell Scovell, creator of the TV series ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch,’ when she tweeted, “I have a Charles Manson joke and it kills.”

‘I have a joke’ was swiftly trending afterward.

To which Lewinsky offered up her own version.

“I have an intern joke and it … nevermind,” she wrote, at least leaving the final word to the imagination, though it’s hardly difficult to figure out where she was going.

What Does She Mean?

If you’re too young to remember, Lewinsky had a politically earth-shattering affair with former President Bill Clinton in the ’90s, a relationship which would lead to his impeachment for perjury and obstruction of justice.

Clinton’s wife, Hillary, has staunchly defended her husband, insisting he never should have stepped down amidst the scandal, an act which ultimately brought us to today, when no scandal in politics is truly shocking any longer.

“Absolutely not,” the former First Lady insisted when asked if he should have resigned.

She said this less than two years ago when the #MeToo movement was in full swing.

“It wasn’t an abuse of power?” a reporter asked, to which she replied: “No. No.”

The affair between Mr. Clinton and Ms. Lewinsky is widely seen as an abuse of power, due to the position held by each and the age differences. Clinton was 49 at the time, Lewinsky just 22.

The former President was also accused of multiple infidelities, sexual assaults, and even rape by Juanita Broaddrick, a former nursing home owner.

Clinton has said the ‘gutsiest’ thing she’d ever done in her personal life was to stay married to Clinton, despite these numerous affairs and accusations.

Not Monica’s First Joke

This isn’t the first time Monica has joked about her famous affair.

Last summer, Vice President Mike Pence suggested Americans need to spend more time praying than on the internet, though his advice was truncated by the Washington Times.

They tweeted: “Mike Pence: ‘Spend more time on your knees than on the internet.'”

Freelance journalist Lauren Duca offered a snarky response to the Times tweet of the column: “OK, who’s gonna tell him?”

That’s when Monica chimed in …

This last joke, however, according to actress Mia Farrow, deserves props.

“Monica wins the internet,” she wrote.

Juanita Broaddrick Says Tara Reade’s Joe Biden Assault Allegation Gives Her Déjà Vu: ‘I Believe Her’

Juanita Broaddrick has long claimed that Bill Clinton raped her in 1978, and she now sees similarities with Tara Reade’s allegations against Joe Biden.

Both women accused high profile national Democratic leaders of sexual crimes only to see their stories dismissed for the most part by the mainstream media. According to Broaddrick, this prompted her to contact Reade a few weeks ago.

Broaddrick: ‘This is a very, very believable woman’

“I just told her, any time she needed anything or wanted to talk, to call me and she almost immediately called me,” Broaddrick told Fox News. “I believe her. I spoke with her on the phone, we spoke at length… this is a very, very believable woman.”

Broaddrick plans to stay in touch with Reade and said that they “text every few days.” Broaddrick admits Reade’s story brought back “too many bad memories” about her tragic history.

In 1998, Broaddrick told NBC’s “Dateline” that Bill Clinton had sexually assaulted her in 1978. NBC chose not to air the story until after the Senate acquitted President Clinton during his impeachment trial in February 1999.

Similarly, Reade has blasted CNN and The New York Times for waiting so long to acknowledge and report her claims against Biden.

“The mainstream media is so liberal and they’re going to support anybody that’s running against a Republican. They’re going to be there, regardless of what’s been brought up about that person,” Broaddrick said, pointing to the hypocrisy of the media coverage of Christine Blasey Ford, who accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault which became part of his Supreme Court confirmation hearings in 2018.

The Larry King 1993 Segment Raised the Stakes

“It’s got to get to the point that politics do not play a part in this,” Broaddrick said. “It just depends what side of the aisle they’re on. If they’re against Trump, they’re not going to come out for Tara Reade. And Tara Reade is not a Trump supporter.”

Broaddrick noted the new developments of Reade’s late mother calling in to “Larry King Live” in 1993 and alluding to Biden’s alleged assault against her daughter while working for the then-senator.

“She texted me after the Larry King thing came out and said, ‘Isn’t that great, my momma coming from the beyond,’” Broaddrick said. “My father died when I was 26 or 27, and I’ve always wondered what he would have done had he been alive when I was raped by Bill Clinton… I was his girl, he was so protective over me.”

Broaddrick feels that CNN and other mainstream outlets have only started covering Reade’s claims over the last few days because they now have no choice.

“Just like NBC was finally forced to play my ‘Dateline’ interview,” she said. “They did not want to play that but they waited until after the impeachment to run it.”

Broaddrick also addressed #MeToo originator and activist Alyssa Milano denying Reade’s claims before coming around somewhat recently.

“(Milano) came right out and, immediately, said this was suspicious and felt like Tara Reade was lying. And then she said Tara Reade needs to be heard because she got so much backlash, she said.

Broaddrick Blasts Hillary Clinton and Her Joe Biden Endorsement

Then Broaddrick turned to Hillary Clinton’s recent endorsement of presumed 2020 Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

“You knew that Hillary would probably come out for Biden, but the way that she did it expounding on his virtues was obscene,” Broaddrick said. “She must want to be the vice presidential nominee, no doubt, and I feel like this is just the road to it.”

Broaddrick joked that a Biden-Clinton ticket could use as its slogan, “Vote for Joe, he’s not as bad as Bill.”
