Devin Nunes On Big Tech Parler Ban: ‘There Should Be A Racketeering Investigation’

Republicans Congressman Devin Nunes, the ranking Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, said Sunday that the Justice Department should launch an investigation into tech companies’ efforts to remove Parler from their platforms.

Nunes made his comments on Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures.”

Nunes On Parler Ban: ‘It’s Far Worse Than What I Could Even Imagine’

“Well, Maria, when I wrote that book, I was hoping to warn Americans so that they would vote right and that maybe this wouldn’t happen and this could be prevented,” Nunes told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo.

Nunes said the move by Big Tech violated antitrust laws, civil rights and the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

“Unfortunately, it’s far worse than what I could even imagine,” Nunes said. “The effect of this is that there is no longer a free and open social media company or site for any American to get on any longer, because these big companies, Apple, Amazon, Google, they have just destroyed a — what was likely — Parler is likely a billion-dollar company.”

“Poof, it’s gone,” he added.

‘This Is Clearly A Violation Of Antitrust’

Nunes then stressed that conservatives need to have the same social media abilities that non-conservatives enjoys.

“But it’s more than just the financial aspect to that,” Nunes explained. “Republicans have no way to communicate.”

“If — and it doesn’t even matter if you’re a Republican or conservative,” he continued.

“If you don’t want to be regulated by left-wingers that are at Twitter and Facebook and Instagram, where you get shadowbanned, nobody gets to see you — nobody gets to see you, they get to decide what’s violent or not violent, it’s preposterous,” Nunes said.

Nunes then cited the violation of antitrust laws.

“So, I don’t know where the hell the Department of Justice is at right now or the FBI,” Nunes said. “This is clearly a violation of antitrust, civil rights, the RICO statute.”

Nunes Denounces ‘Attack’ On Parler And Conservatives Being Able To Operate On Social Media

“There should be a racketeering investigation on all the people that coordinated this attack on not only a company but on all of those like us, like me, like you, Maria. I have 3 million followers on Parler,” he added.

“Tonight, I will no longer be able to communicate with those people,” Nunes lamented. “And they’re Americans.”

Biden Declares Economic Relief For Businesses Will Be Based Partly On Gender And Race

President-elect Joe Biden announced that economic relief for struggling businesses would be based partly on the gender and race of the owners.

In a video posted to the Biden-Harris presidential transition team Twitter account, the soon-to-be President admitted his obsession with identity politics by noting skin color and gender would play a part in deciding who gets economic relief from the federal government.

“Our focus will be on small businesses on Main Street that aren’t wealthy and well-connected, that are facing real economic hardships through no fault of their own,” Biden announced.

He added, “Our priority will be Black, Latino, Asian, and Native American owned small businesses, women-owned businesses, and finally having equal access to resources needed to reopen and rebuild.”

Response to Biden’s Decision to Make Economic Relief Partially Contingent on Race and Gender is Negative

As you might imagine, response to the Democrat president-elect segregating economic relief for businesses based on race and gender wasn’t warmly received.

“If you don’t vote for me, you ain’t … receiving these government assistance checks?” political commentator Kyle Becker partially joked, making reference to Biden’s famous comment that African-Americans that don’t vote for him “ain’t black.”

Others were less willing to be in a joking mood about Biden’s economic inequality declaration.

To be fair, it was mostly minority-owned businesses that were affected by the riots that Biden, Harris, and the Democrats encouraged over the summer.

Biden’s Choices Always Revolve Around Race and Gender

Who could have possibly imagined that it would be a Democrat President-elect who would drag civil rights back decades by making government decisions based on ethnicity or sex?

Besides everyone, I mean.

Biden is, after all, the man who chose Kamala Harris to be his running mate not based on credentials or resume, but because she is a woman who isn’t white.

The same man who accused Republicans of trying to hold back blacks economically by putting “y’all back in chains” is more than willing to put the chains on white-owned businesses.

“We’re going to make a concerted effort to help small businesses in low-income communities in big cities, small towns, rural communities that have faced systemic barriers to relief,” Biden added.

“Think of the mom and pop owner with a couple of employees who can’t pick up the phone and call a banker, who doesn’t have a lawyer, an accountant, to help them through this complicated process.”

Just as with voter identification, Biden seems to be suggesting it’s the minority and woman-owned businesses without the capability or knowledge to navigate complex applications.

Is there anything more racist than saying certain groups of people aren’t smart enough to figure things out without the government’s assistance?

Republican Senator Pat Toomey Says Trump Committed Impeachable Acts

On Sunday, Republican Senator Pat Toomey said that President Donald Trump committed impeachable acts when he supposedly incited the Capitol Hill riot that happened on Wednesday.

Toomey made his comments on CNN’s “State of the Union” hosted by Jake Tapper.

RELATED: AOC Calls For Trump To Be Impeached – ‘We Came Close To Half Of The House Nearly Dying’

Toomey Not Sure There Is Enough Time For An Impeachment

Tapper said to the senator, “Your Republican colleague Senator Murkowski of Alaska says President Trump should resign. She said, quote, ‘He’s caused enough damage.’ Do you agree?”

Toomey replied, “Yeah, I do. I think at this point, with just a few days left, it’s the best path forward, the best way to get this person in the rearview mirror for us that could happen immediately.”

“I’m not optimistic it will,” Toomey added. “But I think that would be the best way forward.”

That is when the CNN host brought up impeachment.

Tapper asked, “Do you think the president should be impeached? Would you vote to remove him from office?”

‘The President Did Commit Impeachable Offenses’

Toomey responded, “I think the president did commit impeachable offenses. There is little doubt in my mind about that.”

Sen. Toomey then questioned the timing of a possible impeachment.

“I don’t know,” Toomey said. “As a practical matter, it is actually possible to do an impeachment in the handful of days that are left.”

“It is likely if the House does pass Articles of Impeachment, we wouldn’t get them until — I don’t know Tuesday or Wednesday,” Toomey added. “We are less than one week to go at that point.”

Toomey Wants Trump To Resign: ‘That Would Be A Very Good Outcome’

“I am also not at all clear that it is constitutionally permissible to impeach someone after they have left office,” he added. “So there may not be a viable impeachment route at this point.”

Toomey mentioned a possible resignation.

“But certainly, he could resign, and that would be a very good outcome,” Toomey said.

He added, “I think there is also a possibility that there is criminal liability here.”

New Reuters Poll Claims Most Americans Want Trump Removed From Office

Reuters published a new poll in the wake of Wednesday’s chaos at the Capitol which indicates that a majority of Americans now want President Donald Trump immediately removed from office.

A Reuters/Ipsos poll found that 57 percent of respondents said that they have had enough of the President’s recent antics and believe that Trump should leave office.

RELATED: Pelosi Calls For Trump To Be Prosecuted – Dubs Him ‘Deranged, Unhinged, Dangerous’

Trump Loses Major Support Even Among His Voters

Not surprisingly and in partisan fashion, 90 percent of Democrats believe Trump should exit immediately, while 80 percent of Republicans think the President should simply finish out his term.

President-elect Joe Biden takes office on January 20th.

70 percent of Trump voters said they opposed the violence on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, showing that a strong majority of the President’s supporters are against what unfolded.

Two-thirds of Trump voters also described the Capitol Hill rioters as “criminals” and “fools.”

30 percent of Americans say they would like to see Trump’s staff invoke the 25th amendment to force the President’s removal.

Some Democrats And Republicans Say Trump’s Recent Actions Are An Impeachable Offense

Politicians in both parties have said Trump’s actions are impeachable.

Far-left Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said on Sunday, “One, of course, our main priority is to ensure the removal of Donald Trump as president of the United States.”

“Every minute and every hour that he’s in office represents a clear and present danger not just to the United States Congress but frankly to the country,” she added.

RELATED: AOC Calls For Trump To Be Impeached – ‘We Came Close To Half Of The House Nearly Dying’

Then AOC went even further.

“But in addition to removal, we’re also talking about complete barring of the president, of Donald Trump from running for office ever again and in addition to that, the potential ability to prevent pardoning himself from those charges that he was impeached for,” Ocasio-Cortez insisted.

Sen. Toomey: ‘The President Committed Impeachable Offenses’

Republican Senator Pat Toomey said on Sunday, “I do think the president committed impeachable offenses, but I don’t know what is going to land on the Senate floor, if anything.”

“I think at this point, with just a few days left, it’s the best path forward, the best way to get this person in the rearview mirror for us that could happen immediately,” Toomey added.

“I’m not optimistic it will but I think that would be the best way forward,” the senator finished.

James Clyburn Admits House Democrats May Not Send Articles Of Impeachment To Senate Until After Biden’s First 100 Days In Office

House Majority Whip James Clyburn admitted Sunday that House Democrats may wait until Joe Biden’s first 100 days in office to send articles of impeachment for President Trump to the Senate.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said lawmakers are indeed moving forward with impeachment, referring to the President as an “imminent threat” to “our Democracy.”

The imminent part seems to be in question after Clyburn’s comments.

“We’ll take the vote that we should take in the House, and [Pelosi] will make the determination as to when is the best time to get that vote and get the managers appointed and move that legislation over to the Senate,” Clyburn (D-SC) told his media ally, Jake Tapper.

“It just so happens that if it didn’t go over there for 100 days, it could – let’s give President-elect Biden the 100 days he needs to get his agenda off and running, and maybe we’ll send the articles sometime after that,” he added.

RELATED: GOP Sen. Ben Sasse Will Consider Impeachment, Ilhan Omar Predicts President Trump WILL Be Removed

Dems Will Wait to Send Articles of Impeachment to the Senate

What exactly does this mean?

“In protecting our Constitution and our Democracy, we will act with urgency, because this President represents an imminent threat to both,” Pelosi said in a letter to her colleagues.

But, despite Pelosi’s assertion that President Trump’s behavior is an “imminent” matter that must be handled with “urgency,” Clyburn suggests they may stall the process of sending articles of impeachment to the Senate. Why?

In our opinion, it isn’t about letting Biden’s agenda get off the ground, as Clyburn asserts. It’s more about assuring Trump doesn’t run again in 2024.

Pelosi all but admits that in a “60 Minutes” interview that aired Sunday night.

Correspondent Leslie Stahl, during her interview with the House Speaker, makes note that Trump could leave the office and run again for President.

Pelosi replied that the idea of Trump running for president again is one of the motivations “that people have for advocating for impeachment” and conveyed that she’d prefer using the 25th Amendment “because it gets rid of him.”

“There is strong support in the Congress for impeaching the president a second time,” the California Democrat added. “This president is guilty of inciting insurrection. He has to pay a price for that.”

It’s About Stopping Trump, Not Biden’s First 100 Days

Articles of impeachment for President Trump won’t simply be about his perceived role in the Capitol riots, of which there is little evidence since he repeatedly urged “peaceful” protests.

It’s about eliminating any chance the President has of ever coming back to the White House.

“Removal is not the only sanction available if Trump is convicted,” Vox reports. “The Constitution also permits the Senate to permanently disqualify Trump from holding ‘any office of honor, trust or profit under the United States.'”

Worse, Vox alleges that the idea of keeping Trump from running again makes it more likely for Republicans to get on board with impeachment.

“Impeachment is still very likely to hit a wall in the Senate, but there are vague reports that the Senate’s ability to permanently lock Trump out of power may make impeachment more attractive to congressional Republicans,” they write.

Last week, Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) indicated he would “definitely consider” a vote to impeach President Trump or support having him removed from office through the 25th Amendment.

“If they come together and have a process, I will definitely consider whatever articles they might move, because … I believe the president has disregarded his oath of office,” said Sasse.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), one of the first Democrats to say she would draft articles of impeachment, indicated last week that she was confident President Trump would be convicted.

“He will be impeached,” she predicted. “Justice will be served.”

It isn’t about justice at all, it’s about making sure an outsider never again sits in the people’s house.

Major Corporations Will Halt Donations To Republican Lawmakers Who Argued For Election Integrity

Three major corporations are reportedly halting donations to Republican lawmakers who argued for election integrity and adherence to the Constitution.

Popular Information reports that the corporations are citing last week’s riot at the Capitol, and alleging Republican lawmakers “encouraged the rioters by objecting to the certification of the Electoral College vote.”

The outlet contacted corporations who donated to Republicans in the past and asked if they would continue to do so.

Out of 144 companies contacted, Popular Information received a commitment from three to no longer donate to anybody who objected to the election results.

The three corporations are:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.
  • Marriott International.
  • Commerce Bancshares.

No word on whether or not the same outlet contacted corporations who donated to Democrats who, over the summer, helped bail out arsonists and looters.

Corporations Pulling Donations From Republican Lawmakers

Bloomberg News reports that several other companies are pausing political donations in the wake of Wednesday’s Capitol protests.

Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Citigroup Inc., Morgan Stanley, and JPMorgan Chase & Co. “plan to pause all political contributions,” they write.

In a memo to employees, Citigroup said: “We want you to be assured that we will not support candidates who do not respect the rule of law.”

In a sane world, that would mean every single Democrat who supported race riots over the summer, or who supported the soft coup by the Obama administration against President Trump, would lose support.

But we no longer live in a sane world.

No, many companies whose businesses or locations actually suffered at the hands of Democrat-fueled riots over the summer – riots that took place over many months – will now take action against Republicans because of one protest that got out of control.

The Purge of Conservative Thought Continues

Of all of the efforts to stifle conservative thought taking place in America today, this one might hurt the most as it has monetary implications for lawmakers who actually care about voter fraud and other conservative platforms and principles.

Big Tech is purging conservatives from their social media platforms by the thousands. The President is being threatened with impeachment. Republican congressmen are being threatened with expulsion.

And now, donations to the politicians who support conservative principles plan to tighten their purse strings.

This is all part of what ABC News accidentally admitted is an effort at “cleansing the movement” of those who support the President.

It’s amazing how bad things have gotten in the span of a few days. But all of these efforts to stifle political opposition have been ongoing for years. Democrats and the media just needed a spark to start a full-on assault of free speech.

If Republicans don’t find another means to stop this process of ‘cleansing’ conservative thought from America there may not be an America much longer.

Trump Vows There Will Be An ‘Orderly Transition’ Of Power On January 20th, Promises To Keep Fighting Election Outcome

President Trump, in a statement posted by White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino, vowed an “orderly transition” of power on January 20th.

President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration and swearing-in ceremony are expected to take place on that day. It will be mostly virtual due to the pandemic.

In the statement posted by Scavino, the President vowed to continue fighting the election results regardless.

“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th,” the statement read.

“I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted,” Trump continued. “While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again!”

Trump Vows Orderly Transition While Cabinet Members Threaten 25th Amendment

The Political Insider reported earlier today that members of Trump’s cabinet are considering using the 25th Amendment to remove the President from office before the 20th.

CNN reporter Jim Acosta cited a source close to Trump in reporting the possibility of invoking the Amendment.

Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger also called on the 25th Amendment to be invoked.

In a video message, Kinzinger accused President Trump of causing the violence that took place at the Capitol on Wednesday.

“The president caused this. The president is unfit and the president is unwell,” the anti-Trump lawmaker said. “And the president now must relinquish control of the executive branch voluntarily or involuntarily.”

More Rats Abandoning Ship

Mick Mulvaney, President Donald Trump’s former chief of staff, told CNBC on Thursday he has resigned from the administration where he was serving as U.S. envoy to Northern Ireland.

“I called Mike Pompeo last night to let him know I was resigning from that. I can’t do it. I can’t stay,” Mulvaney said.

“Those who choose to stay, and I have talked with some of them, are choosing to stay because they’re worried the president might put someone worse in.”

Meanwhile, President Trump took aim at his own Vice President for not rejecting the electoral votes.

Mike Pence on Wednesday issued a statement to Congress saying he didn’t have the Constitutional authority to refuse the certification of the Electoral College votes.

“Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify,” Trump tweeted.

Twitter blocked the tweet and demanded it is taken down.

A video showing Trump from many years ago discussing loyalty recently surfaced on social media.

“Someday I’d like to maybe lose everything for a period of time to see who’s loyal and who’s not loyal,” Trump says.

“You think certain people would be loyal no matter what,” he added. “And it turns out that they’re not.”

Will there be anybody loyal left in Trump’s inner circle by the time the orderly transition takes place?

Report: House Members Nearly Come To Blows As Congress Preaches Unity To America

Two House members nearly came to blows and had to be separated by a Capitol staffer after several lawmakers had preached about coming together as Americans.

The wild scene took place as lawmakers debated certifying the Electoral votes from Pennsylvania.

An altercation reportedly took place between Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) and Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX), though what prompted it remains unclear.

Reporters in attendance, according to Fox News, suggest Pennsylvania Democratic Rep. Conor Lamb’s characterization of the violence earlier in the day may have prompted the scuffle.

“It didn’t materialize out of nowhere,” Lamb said of the violence. “It was inspired by lies. The same lies that you’re hearing in this room tonight.”

Republicans objected, to which Lamb responded, “The truth hurts!”

C-Span video captured Lamb speaking and a commotion behind him.

Harris is a 63-year-old U.S. Navy veteran while Allred is a 37-year-old former college football player at Baylor.

House Members Andy Harris and Colin Allred Almost Comes to Blows

Remarkably, this near-fight took place late into the night where lawmakers spent countless minutes preaching to the American people about unity and coming together.

After witnessing the violence at the Capitol, numerous Republicans backed down from contesting the election and defending the Constitution as some sort of olive branch to Democrats who have been fomenting discord for months.

Republican Sens. Steve Daines and James Lankford, CNN notes, said: “We must stand together as Americans. We must defend our Constitution and the rule of law.”

Yet Lamb accused lawmakers in the chamber of being liars for defending the Constitution. That doesn’t sound like coming together.

RELATED: Mitch McConnell Blasts Republican Senators Who Challenge Electoral College Results

The House Literally Preached Unity

House Republican minority leader Kevin McCarthy received a standing ovation for a speech that stated while Democrats and Republicans might not agree on everything, “now is the moment to show America that we work best together.”

“Mobs don’t rule America. Laws rule America,” he added. “It was true when our cities were burning this summer and it is true now.”

And to symbolize that ‘unity,’ Mass Live reports:

The comment got loud applause from Republicans. Democrats in the chamber sat silently.

Just like they did for years’ worth of State of the Union speeches when President Trump repeatedly urged unity between the two parties.

The New York Times revealed that after President-elect Joe Biden’s victory had been certified by lawmakers, the Senate chaplain delivered “a powerful prayer calling for unity.”

“Use us to bring healing and unity to our hurting and divided nation and world,” chaplain Barry C. Black said. “Thank you for what you have blessed our lawmakers to accomplish in spite of threats to liberty.”

What a great example Lamb, Allred, and Harris have set.

Report: Trump To Award Devin Nunes, Jim Jordan With Presidential Medal Of Freedom

President Trump will reportedly award two of his staunchest allies – Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) and Rep. Jim Jordan (D-OH) – with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

The prestigious award is the Nation’s highest civilian honor.

The Washington Post, citing a source familiar with the plans, claimed the President “is using his final days in the White House in part to reward friends and allies with pardons and other decorations.”

They describe Nunes as “one of Trump’s most vocal supporters in his quest to undermine the Justice Department’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.”

The President is expected to award Nunes with the medal on Monday, and Jordan next week.

RELATED: Report: Durham Investigation Into Origins Of The Russian Probe Are Moving ‘Full Steam Ahead’

Devin Nunes and Jim Jordan to Get the Presidential Medal of Freedom

Of course, describing Nunes’ efforts as “undermin(ing) the Justice Department’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election” is an incredibly biased way of saying ‘revealing corruption during the Special Counsel’s probe.’

And Nunes did that in spades.

If not for the California Republican, America might never have known about the deep-seated corruption that took place behind closed doors during the Russia probe.

Nunes authored a memo that was released by the House Intelligence Committee in February, 2018, which alleged abuses of power by the FBI during its investigation into the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia.

Nunes, according to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), would ultimately be “proven correct” by the Mueller report, while House Intelligence Committee Chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), who provided a counter-memo and repeatedly leaked information to the media, would ultimately be proven a liar.

Schiff repeatedly stated through left-wing media outlets that there was “direct evidence” of collusion even as he knew that Obama officials testified time and again that there was no such evidence.

Nunes suggested Schiff was so adept at lying that he might be in need of rehabilitation.

“After publishing false conclusions of such enormity on a topic directly within this committee’s oversight responsibilities, it is clear you are in need of rehabilitation,” Nunes wrote in a letter, “and I hope this letter will serve as the first step in that vital process.”

More recently, Nunes announced plans to submit a criminal referral to the Department of Justice following the release of newly declassified messages from former FBI agent Peter Strzok.

The California Republican suggested the DOJ and FBI misled Congress regarding documents that had been requested during an investigation of potential FISA abuses.

RELATED: Jim Jordan Hammers Adam Schiff at Impeachment Hearing: ‘Nobody Believes You’

Jim Jordan, like Devin Nunes, has also been a vocal supporter of the President and will receive the Medal of Freedom.

Jordan repeatedly made a fool of Schiff during impeachment inquiry meetings, pointing out that the Democrat had a reputation for lying.

Fox News host Sean Hannity told Nunes that he deserved the Presidential Medal of Freedom during a segment on his show in August of 2018.

Hannity said Nunes “frankly, deserves the medal of freedom for really showing, sadly, the biggest abuse of power corruption scandal.”

President Trump would later laud Nunes during an interview on Fox & Friends.

“He is really, what he has gone through and his bravery. He should get a very important medal,” Trump said. “Maybe we’ll call it medal of freedom because we actually give them, they’re high awards for civilians.”

Report: Eric Swalwell One Of Several Politicians Targeted By Chinese Spy

An Axios report indicates a woman suspected of being a Chinese spy targeted several local and national politicians in California, including former Democrat presidential candidate and current House Rep. Eric Swalwell.

The bombshell report indicates Fang Fang, or Christine Fang, served as a Chinese Intelligence operative with China’s Ministry of State Security.

Fang reportedly used campaign fundraising, networking, her charm, as well as romantic and sexual relationships to get close with politicians between 2011 and 2015.

She “targeted up-and-coming local politicians in the Bay Area and across the country who had the potential to make it big on the national stage,” the report reads.

Axios alleges that Fang engaged in “romantic or sexual relationships with at least two Midwestern mayors” and, as a result, “was able to gain proximity to political power.”

A political operative and a current U.S. intelligence official advised Axios that Fang “took part in fundraising activity for Swalwell’s 2014 re-election campaign” and that the Democrat Rep. “was directly aware of these activities on its behalf.”

They do not allege any of the fundraising was illegal, but they do indicate the alleged Chinese spy was able to place an intern with Swalwell’s office and that she interacted with the Congressman “at multiple events over the course of several years.”

RELATED: Eric Swalwell Slammed For Suggesting Trump Is Guilty Until Proven Innocent

Eric Swalwell Won’t Comment on Alleged Relationship With Chinese Spy

In a statement to Axios, Swalwell’s office asserted that his knowledge of Fang was fleeting and he could not comment due to national security concerns.

“Rep. Swalwell, long ago, provided information about this person — whom he met more than eight years ago, and whom he hasn’t seen in nearly six years — to the FBI,” they responded to the yearlong investigation.

“To protect information that might be classified, he will not participate in your story.”

But the Axios report indicates it was the FBI who had to interject in the Swalwell-Fang connection because they were “so alarmed.”

“Federal investigators became so alarmed by Fang’s behavior and activities that around 2015 they alerted Swalwell to their concerns — giving him what is known as a defensive briefing,” the report indicates.

They note that Swalwell “immediately cut off all ties to Fang” and that “he has not been accused of any wrongdoing.”

RELATED: Trey Gowdy ‘Mad As Hell’ At Pelosi For ‘Dumb and Despicable’ Withholding Of COVID Relief

Does He Deserve the Benefit of the Doubt?

If Swalwell insists that his relationship with a Chinese spy was brief and inconsequential, who are we to argue? But we find it highly unlikely the Democrat lawmaker would be quite so forgiving had a Republican or President Trump been involved with a spy.

After all, it was this same man who claimed the President was guilty until proven innocent of allegations mounted during impeachment.

Swalwell chose not to participate in this Axios story. President Trump late last year, refused to send documents and witnesses to mount a defense against the House Democrat impeachment circus.

“We can only conclude that you’re guilty,” the California lawmaker stated at the time.

“In America, innocent men do not hide and conceal evidence,” Swalwell added. “They are forthcoming and they want to cooperate and the president is acting like a very guilty person right now.”

Huh. Drawing conclusions based on Swalwell’s thought process would cause him quite a bit of trouble, to say the least.

Swalwell was also one of the biggest congressional promotors of the Russia hoax. In a January 2019 interview on MSNBC, the Democrat asserted President Trump was a Russian agent.

“He’s working on behalf of the Russians, yes,” he falsely claimed.

Former Acting Director of United States National Intelligence Richard Grenell called out Swalwell on the news of his entanglement with a Chinese spy, saying the Democrat “is a total hypocrite and should resign in disgrace.”

Others noted that, as a member of the House Intelligence Committee, Swalwell would have been prone to blackmail had he been one of the officials involved in an actual physical relationship with Fang.

Fang, the Chinese spy who got close to a former presidential candidate in Eric Swalwell, left the United States “unexpectedly in mid-2015 amid the investigation,” according to Axios.
