Hillary Clinton: Republicans Don’t ‘Pledge Allegiance’ To USA, They Pledge To Trump ‘Cult’

On Monday, 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said the GOP has become a cult of former President Donald Trump that doesn’t pledge allegiance to America.

The former Secretary of State made her comments during an interview on “Washington Post Live” with host Jonathan Capehart.

Clinton Praises Republican Liz Cheney For Impeachment Vote

Capehart said to Clinton, “The Republicans have been eating their own. I wonder what advice, if any, you would give to Congresswoman Liz Cheney of Wyoming in handling, not just Donald Trump and the criticisms coming from him but his followers in Congress?”

Clinton replied, “Well first, I will say I don’t want to hurt Liz Cheney, but I was incredibly impressed by her strength in standing up to what had been instigated by Donald Trump, an attack on our Capitol by the then-sitting president of our country, which was so outrageous.”

Clinton continued to praise Cheney.

“Really, Representative Cheney was one of the very few Republicans in Congress who did stand up,” Clinton continued. “And I give all of them who spoke up, who voted for impeachment, who voted for conviction in the Senate credit for doing what was right.”

The former first lady condemned Republicans who did not join Cheney in voting to impeach Trump.

Clinton said, “I just wish that more Republicans had had either the courage or the understanding of what they needed to do, that they too had stood up and spoken out.”

Republican voters are not in agreement. GOP Congressmen who voted to impeach or convict President Trump have been censured at home, and many are already facing primary challengers.

Clinton Claims Republicans Turning Into ‘Cult’

Then she questioned whether Republicans were loyal to America or Donald Trump.

“Right now, Jonathan, it is really troubling to see the Republican Party turn themselves into a cult and, you know, basically pledge allegiance not to the United States of America but to Donald Trump,” Clinton charged.

The insult is constructed in a curious way, given that Trump’s supporters describe their support as ‘America First,’ and often charge that politicians like Hillary Clinton have put America last.

RELATED: Yet Another Major Republican Senator Announces That He Won’t Be Running For Reelection In 2022

Clinton then gave the GOP an additional wag of the finger.

“Something I do not understand, I cannot accept, and I don’t think the majority of Americans — as we have seen with the very large popular victory of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the passage of the American Rescue Plan, which is so popular — I don’t understand why the Republican Party is so afraid of itself, because that’s what it comes down to,” she finished.

Fox News’ Chris Wallace Shuts Down Juan Williams After Comparing Cuomo To Trump

On Sunday, Fox News host Chris Wallace laughingly shut down contributor Juan Williams, who tried to compare sexual harassment allegations against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to those of Donald Trump.

Williams made his comments to Wallace during a discussion of the multiple accusations against Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Watch the segment below.

RELATED: Gaetz Questions If ‘Transition To Harris Has Already Begun’ – ‘Joe Biden’s Had More Nap Time Than He’s Had Questions From Reporters’

Wallace Asks Sunday Panel If Cuomo Can Survive

Wallace began by asking the panel if Cuomo had any path forward, considering not only the charges that he fudged the numbers of nursing homes deaths related to the COVID pandemic to make his administration look better, but also the multiple charges of sexual harassment.

Members of bother parties have called for Gov. Cuomo’s resignation or impeachment.

Wallace opened up:

“They say liberals were far too slow to recognize that Cuomo made a serious mistake when he issued this directive that seniors who were in nursing — or were in hospitals should be sent back to nursing homes and then there’s the whole question of cooking the books and they also note the fact that, it wasn’t so long ago that liberals were saying, you know, if a woman accuser comes forward — they certainly said this about Brett Kavanaugh — she must be believed.”

“Now they’re a little slower to say that, they be a lot slower, when it comes to Andrew Cuomo,” Wallace added.

“Maybe a lot slower.”

Fox News’ Juan Williams acknowledged that Cuomo’s nursing home policy had caused a larger number of deaths, but wondered if the governor had actually done anything illegal.

“I think that’s just bad decision-making,” Williams said. “I don’t know that there’s anything illegal and clearly people died and there’s a terrible price for all families who lost a loved one to pay, but it was a decision.”

“I’m still curious to what exactly anyone could say that was done illegally,” Williams added.

Williams then argued that there was a stronger case against Cuomo regarding the accusations of sexual harassment against him.

“You’re seeing a lot of Democrats who I think are resistant to the idea of a fourth term for Governor Cuomo and who see him as a bully and who has run them over,” Williams said.

Williams Compares Cuomo To Trump

Williams added, “I also would say I don’t see any independent investigation of Donald Trump and he faced far more serious charges of sexual assault, you know, even more than that, and I don’t see those kinds of calls coming from Republicans.”

Wallace responded to Williams, while chuckling, “Well, yes, but on the other hand, I don’t know we could say that Donald Trump went uninvestigated over the course over his four years in the presidency between the special counsel and two impeachments.”

While Trump never had an independent legal investigation, it’s also fair to say he was investigated plenty by the media.

A Google search on the topic brings nearly 35 million results – with some news outlets, like Business Insider and USA Today, returning results from just weeks before the 2020 election.

The Independent even tackled the subject after Election Day.

Democratic Socialists Of America Call For New York Gov. Cuomo To Resign Over Sexual Harassment Charges

The Democratic Socialists of America has called for Democrat New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to resign after three women have come forward to say he sexually harassed them.

To note, this a far-left group that Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez belongs to.

Democratic Socialists Of America To Gov. Cuomo: Resign

Cuomo is getting plenty of heat over these accusations, with calls to resign even coming from his left.

The New York Post reported on Tuesday, “In light of the multiple allegations of sexual harassment by Governor Cuomo, the NYC Chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America is calling for the immediate resignation and impeachment of Governor Andrew Cuomo,” the socialist group said in a statement.

The statement continued, citing the three accusers, “We stand with Charlotte Bennet [sic], Lindsey Boylan, and Anna Ruch, who have spoken out about Governor Cuomo’s harassment.”

“Someone so comfortable with abusing his power should not be in leadership of our state,” the group said. “It is abundantly clear that Cuomo’s endemic pattern of abuse and bullying have disrupted and interfered with democratic processes in our state.”

“The people of New York deserve better” the socialist organization emphasized.

Far-left Working Families Party Wants Cuomo Gone Too

This statement comes mere days after New York’s Ocasio-Cortez said Boylan and Bennett’s accounts were “extremely serious and painful to read,” and called for an independent probe.

Not to be outdone on the far left, the Working Families Party also are calling for Cuomo to resign.

“Andrew Cuomo’s reign of fear, harassment, and intimidation cannot continue,” the group’s statement read. “We were horrified to learn of the Governor’s pattern of sexual harassment.”

RELATED: Meghan McCain Torches Governor Cuomo As ‘A Pig And A Pervert’ Over Sexual Harassment Claims

“We have been equally disturbed by the Governor’s response: he did not deny any of Charlotte Bennett’s specific allegations, failed to take any personal responsibility for his actions, and instead blamed his victims,” it read.

“We are calling on Governor Cuomo to resign immediately because he is unfit to serve the people of New York,” the statement finished.

It’s interesting to note that the nursing home scandal did not elicit any calls for resignation or impeachment.

Cuomo continues to get heat, left and right. Is he already done and just doesn’t realize it yet?

Former CIA Director John Brennan Is ‘Embarrassed To Be A White Male’ – Here’s What He Should Be Embarrassed About

On Monday, former CIA Director John Brennan said in an interview that he is “increasingly embarrassed to be a white male” in reaction to investigations into the Capitol Hill riots on January 6.

Brennan made his bizarre racial comments during an MSNBC panel, where he serves as an intelligence analyst for the news outlet.

RELATED: Joy Behar Says If Trump Runs For President In 2024, It Will Be From Rikers Island Prison

Brennan: ‘I’m Increasingly Embarrassed To Be A White Male These Days’

On the panel, Former Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill told host MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace, “I have never seen so many whiny white men calling themselves victims as I saw over the weekend at (the Conservative Political Action Conference)]. I mean, these are all people who think they have a huge grievance from a position of significant privilege.”

McCaskill was asked for her take on Antifa and other left-wing radicals being blamed by some Republicans for the riots on January 6.

McCaskill replied, “It has really become the norm for the new Republican Party that lying is just peachy keen and I can’t believe the majority of America is gonna accept that, especially if we remain vigilant about pointing out what the facts are.”

Wallace then turned to Brennan for comments on this issue.

“Well, I must say, to Claire’s point, I’m increasingly embarrassed to be a white male these days,” Brennan replied,

Wallace laughed. Brennan added, “when I see (what) my other white males (are) saying.”

“It just shows that with very few exceptions like Mitt Romney, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, there are so few Republicans in Congress who value truth, honesty, and integrity, and so they’ll continue to gaslight the country the way that Donald Trump did,” Brennan said.

Many of us recall that Democrats sang a very different tune about Mitt Romney and the Cheneys before Donald Trump’s arrival on the political scene.

The former CIA director continued, “And the fact that this had such security and safety implications for the American public and for the members of Congress, again, as Claire said, it is just a disgusting display of craven politics that really should have no place in the United States in 2021.”

Isn’t that cute. You know who should have no place in politics, or polite society for that matter, in the United States in 2021?

John Brennan.

Brennan Should Be Ashamed To Be John Brennan

Notice that the few anti-Trump Republicans in Congress who Brennan believes “value truth, honesty, and integrity” are all pro-war George W. Bush-Dick Cheney-style Republicans, including the former VP’s own daughter, Congresswoman Liz Cheney.

Senator Rand Paul, who has battled these hawks – especially Liz Cheney – his entire political career laid out clearly in February 2020 what Brennan should be ashamed of.

When Paul opposed impeaching Trump, Brennan said of Paul, “He typifies the worst of (Trump’s) craven enablers. Any Senator excusing this dangerous behavior makes a mockery of public service.”

That’s when Sen. Paul let Brennan have it.

RELATED: Hyatt Hotels Targeted By Left For Hosting CPAC – Hyatt Responds: Conservatives Have Right To ‘Express Their Views’

America Should Be Embarrassed Of John Brennan

“You want to know what’s a mockery of public service, John?” Paul shot back. “Killing 500 people outside of any judicial system. Drone strikes on American citizens. Approving British spies to present a dossier of lies paid for by Hillary. Lying to Congress.”

“Your shame alone should shut you up,” Paul added.

Overall, the pro-Trump libertarian-leaning senator was referring to Brennan’s neoconservative approach to national “security,” extra-judicial drone killings, and involvement with the infamous “Steele dossier” that kicked off Trump’s first impeachment.

The liberal media highlighted Brennan’s role as Obama’s “drone warrior” and “Obama’s drone-master.”

They even called him out for his wild 2011 claim that his drone strikes hadn’t caused “a single collateral death.”

If you recall, Obama had a secret “kill list,” which Brennan’s drone strikes helped to carry out.

The New York Times reported that President Trump ended Brennan’s “$1 billion secret CIA war in Syria,” in which Brennan and company armed “Syrian rebels,” with weapons falling into the hands of Al Qaeda allies.

At his confirmation hearing to be CIA Director, Brennan told Congress he knew about the CIA’s torture program and did nothing to stop it.

Many people don’t remember, but multiple mainstream outlets called on John Brennan to be fired for lying to Congress.

Bob Woodward reported that Brennan endorsed the infamous “Steele dossier” that led to the years-long Russia collusion hoax.

So the former CIA head is embarrassed of being a “white male.”

The entire country should be embarrassed of John Brennan.

Trump Plans New Super PAC, Setting His Sights On 2022 Elections

Former President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he is planning to form a super PAC as part of his post-presidential footprint into Republican Party politics.

Trump confidante and advisor Corey Lewandowski has been named to head up the super PAC, which is still in the planning stages as we head into CPAC weekend.

Trump political team member, senior advisor Jason Miller, said, “MAGA supporters and candidates supporting President Trump’s America First agenda are going to be impressed with the political operation being built out here. We expect formal announcements of the full team in the coming weeks, which will include some very talented operatives not yet named.”

Forming A Trump Super PAC Plan

According to a report by Politico, the meeting took place on Thursday at Trump’s Mar-A-Lago resort in Florida.

In addition to Lewandowski and Miller, the meeting’s attendees included former Trump Campaign Manager Bill Stepien, former deputy Campaign Manger Justin Clark, former Campaign Manager Brad Parscale, former White House Social Media Director Dan Scavino, and attorney Alex Cannon.

Donald Trump already has a leadership PAC called “Save America,” which was last reported to have roughly $31 million in the bank. While there are limits to how much a regular PAC can raise, super PACS are not limited on how much money can be raised for a particular cause.

In the short amount of time since Donald Trump left the White House, it has become very apparent that he will play a huge role in shaping the future of the Republican Party.

This development is much to the chagrin of people like Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Sen. Mitt Romney, and Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), all of whom have been harsh critics of Trump.

A Trump endorsement is likely to be coveted by many 2022 GOP candidates.

Some of these coveted endorsements could fall to the primary challengers to seven of the ten House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump.

Of course, Trump has already begun handing out endorsements for 2022.

So far the former President has endorsed his former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who has announced a run for Governor in Arkansas, and Sen. Jerry Moran’s reelection bid in Kansas.

Trump To Give Major Speech At CPAC

In his first major appearance since leaving office, Donald Trump is scheduled to give the keynote address this coming Sunday in Orlando at CPAC, the large yearly gathering of conservatives.

Many expect that Trump will lay out his political vision and plans going forward for not just 2022, but possibly 2024 as well.

According to Fox News, the former president intends to address issues such as immigration, jobs, and energy during his CPAC keynote.

It’s no surprise that Trump intends to tackle immigration after President Joe Biden hastily halted building of the wall on America’s southern border.

Jobs and energy are also on the agenda in light of Biden’s EO halting construction of the Keystone XL pipeline project which has cost people their jobs, a good many of them being union jobs.

CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp told “Fox & Friends” Thursday of Trump, “He knows it’s a very important reset for him and for the country and for half the country and so many people who are here in this ballroom.”

Trump Ready To Move The Republican Party Forward

The Politico report goes on to say that Trump told his advisers that he is eager to “engage” in the outcome of the 2022 elections.

Said engagement reportedly includes plans to “exact revenge” on those that the former president feels were not loyal to him.

This could include House Republicans who voted to impeach, and possibly Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, who Politico says Trump criticized for not “overturning the election.”

The new super PAC could serve as a conduit for Trump to raise funds and funnel them to his favored candidate in key 2022 races.

Trump has also recently met with Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel, and former Senator David Perdue of Georgia.

However, it is not known if he intends to meet with any other possible presidential candidates who are attending CPAC including Sens. Rick Scott (R-FL), Ted Cruz (R-TX), Josh Hawley (R-MO), Tom Cotton (R-AR), former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and Gov. Kristi Noem of South Dakota.

According to a report from “Morning Consult,” 59% of GOP voters say Trump should play a “major role” in the Republican Party going forward.

To the disappointment of the GOP establishment, that might be all he needs.

Liz Cheney Faces New Calls To Step Down After Latest Bizarre Anti-Trump Attack

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) is facing a new round of calls for her to step down as the Chair of the House Republican Caucus after her public claim that former President Trump should have no role in the future of the country.

Cheney is the third highest ranking House GOP member.

Cheney, who has been frequently outspoken about her opposition to Donald Trump, was part of a House Republican leadership briefing on Wednesday with reporters. During the briefing, Cheney and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) were both asked about Trump’s upcoming speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC.

Reporters asked if Trump should “have a prominent speaking role” at the conference. McCarthy replied matter-of-factly, “Yes he should.”

Cheney disagreed.

“That’s up to CPAC. I’ve been clear about my views of President Trump and the extent to which, following Jan. 6., I don’t believe that he should be playing a role in the future of the party or the country.”

There was an awkward few seconds as reporters laughed and McCarthy replied, “On that high note, thank you very much.”

Not Cheney’s First Run-In With The Party She Leads

Liz Cheney’s first dust up with her fellow Republicans came back in January, after she was one of ten Republicans to vote for impeachment in the House.

At the time, Rep. Matt Rosedale (R-MT) stated that, “Rep. Cheney did not consult with the rest of our conference before supporting impeachment. She failed to abide by the spirit of the Conference rules and is ignoring the preferences of Republican voters. I’m calling on her to step down as Conference Chair.”

At the time, even House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy had some concerns about Cheney’s impeachment vote.

The first effort to unseat Cheney failed. Ultimately, only 61 Republicans voted to oust her, 145 members voted against removal in a secret ballot. But that was not the end of her run-ins with other House Republicans.

Cheney and Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) have also had words.

Gaetz has accused Cheney of having an “America Last” vision for the country, and has even gone to Cheney’s home state of Wyoming to support those who want a change in who represents them in Wyoming’s only congressional seat.

At a rally in Cheyenne, Gaetz stated that, “There are basically two things that Liz Cheney has done in the United States Congress: frustrate the agenda of President Trump and sell out to the forever war machine.”

In response to Gaetz’s campaign swing through Wyoming, Cheney fired back on Twitter.

As would be expected, Cheney has enjoyed the full support of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

Cheney’s Latest Comments

Liz Cheney’s latest comments regarding former President Trump once again have Freedom Caucus members calling for her resignation in House leadership.

Caucus Chairman Andy Biggs (R-AZ), who is a Trump supporter, said that “she should step down.”

He went on to call her comments “outrageous” and “consistent with at least four other statements she’s made in the last few weeks,” and that he does not believe “she is able to carry out” her duties as Caucus Chair “any further.”

Biggs also commented that, “I also think she is absolutely devoid of any kind of political reading of what’s going on in the party,” he added. “If she any sense of shame, she would step down.”

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) stated that Cheney has “forfeited her right to be the Chair of the Republican Caucus.”

Roy had been in agreement with Cheney that Trump “deserved universal condemnation for what was clearly impeachable conduct,” but that Cheney’s latest comments at the press briefing were “in complete opposition to where the majority of house Republicans stand” and “completely out of step with the Republican Conference.”

RELATED: Obama Backs Reparations: Says Country Was ‘Built On The Backs Of Slaves’, Didn’t Do It Himself Due To ‘White Resentment’

Cheney Also Facing Backlash At Home

While Liz Cheney is hearing criticism in Washington from other Republicans, it is Wyoming Republicans she may want to pay attention to.

Since the first call for her resignation as Chair of the Republican Caucus, ten counties in Wyoming have voted to censure Cheney.

A partial statement from Sweetwater County states that Cheney had “betrayed the trust and failed to honor the will of the very large majority of motivated Wyoming voters who elected her.”

Cheney has already garnered a primary challenger for 2022 as well. Wyoming State Senator Anthony Bouchard announced his candidacy on January 20.

Of the ten Republicans who voted to impeach Trump, seven, including Cheney have primary challengers for 2022.

Cheney defended her impeachment vote by saying, “this is a vote of conscience. It’s one where there are different views in our conference.”

Report: Nikki Haley Isolated After Attacking Trump, Not Among GOP 2024 Presidential Hopefuls At CPAC

As conservatives gather for their annual conference known as CPAC, Nikki Haley will not be among the possible 2024 GOP contenders in attendance, with speculation that her rivalry with Donald Trump being a contributing factor.

According to one report, Haley is “isolated” after she attacked President Trump for the January 6 Capitol riot.

This comes in the aftermath last week of the former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. asking for a meeting with Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Her request was turned down.

Haley has a long history of attacking President Trump.

RELATED: New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo Accused Of Sexual Harassment By Former Staffer Lindsey Boylan

Haley’s History Of Anti-Trump Comments

Nikki Haley has a history of comments critical of Trump, so it is not surprising that he would have turned down a meeting.

After the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and just prior to Tump’s second impeachment, in an interview Haley said of Republicans that “We need to acknowledge he let us down. He went down a path he shouldn’t have, and we shouldn’t have followed him, and we shouldn’t have listened to him. And we can’t ever let that happen again.”

In the same interview, she questioned “any political viability” he was going to have going forward. Haley said she did not believe Trump would run in 2024. “I don’t think he can. He’s fallen so far.”

Haley’s comments on Donald Trump go back much farther than January of this year.

In 2016, she gave the Republican response to President Barack Obama’s final State of the Union Address, when she stated, “During anxious times, it can be tempting to follow the siren call of the angriest voices.”

In an interview the next day on NBC’s Today Show, Haley said that she was specifying then front-runner for the Republican nomination Donald Trump, was one of the “angry voices” she was referring to.

Haley invoked the Jun 2015 shooting of nine black parishioners in a Charleston church when she stated that she thinks Trump’s rhetoric is “dangerous.” She went on to say, “I know what that rhetoric can do. I saw it happen.”

She even went on to repeat the lie that Trump had not disavowed the KKK.

“I will not stop until we fight a man that chooses not to disavow the KKK,” Haley said. “That is not a part of our party, that is not who we want as president. We will allow not allow that in our country.”

Even PolitiFact acknowledges that Trump has disavowed white supremacists for decades.

In February of 2016, then South Carolina Governor Haley sounded every bit like a Never-Trumper.

Speaking to CNN affiliate WIS Television in Columbia, she said that candidate Donald Trump represented “everything a Governor doesn’t want in a president.”

RELATED: Biden HHS Nominee Xavier Becerra Could Not Name A Single Abortion Restriction He Would Support

Haley’s Presidential Aspirations In Jeopardy?

According to a report from The Hill, a GOP source says that while Haley has been trying to position herself for a run for the White House, she is having difficulty in connecting with Trump supporters.

The source went on to say that “Haley has never understood the President and seems to not understand where the base of the Party is.”

The Hill also quoted Alex Conant, a GOP consultant and former advisor to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) in reference to Haley’s comments:

“Trump might run again, so you have to treat him as a potential competitor. But even if he doesn’t, he wants influence over who the party picks, and loyalty is what he values more than anything else. So it’s hard to build your own identity separate from him while maintaining loyalty and his support.”

The fact that she may be seen as a flip-flopper may harm her presidential hopes. A week after the riot, the Charleston CBS affiliate reported that while Haley criticized the President for the riot, she “called for people to ‘give the man a break’.”

She also stated she did not think there was “basis for impeachment.”

CPAC Will Draw Other Possible Presidential Contenders

As usual, this year’s CPAC gathering will draw other potential presidential hopefuls. Some other names that have been mentioned include Sens. Rick Scott (R-FL), Ted Cruz (R-TX), and Josh Hawley (R-MO).

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) is also scheduled to speak, and has even been mentioned as a possible presidential candidate recently by Trump ally Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL).

Most of those mentioned have been strong supporters of Trump, not only of the direction he would take the Republican Party, but his “America First” platform.

Nikki Haley’s comments for and against Donald Trump may separate her from other would-be Republican candidates, and the optics may say that she may prove the sources right, that she is indeed out of touch with the base of the party.

Politco reported that Lee Bright, a former colleague of Haley and an “archconservative in the statehouse” in South Carolina, might have sounded the alarm about Haley.

“Nikki is willing to do whatever she needs to do and be whoever she needs to be,” he said.

He went on to add more serious accusations, “The fact is, she doesn’t have a core. Adapting to the electorate is what keeps you around in politics, and she’s done it more effectively than anyone I’ve ever seen. She went from being an enemy of the establishment to being the face of the establishment.”

Nikki Haley’s first decision about a White House run should be which part of the Republican Party she supports.

Lindsey Graham Says That ‘If We Can Get Behind President Trump And Follow His Lead, We Will Win In 2022’

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) spoke out on Monday night to urge Republicans to stay loyal to former President Donald Trump, saying that moving forward, he is the “alternative” to President Joe Biden.

Graham Sends Message To Republicans

Graham went so far as to say that Republicans will win the 2022 midterm elections if they stay loyal to Trump.

“[H]e will position himself as the alternative to Joe Biden. He, I think, will make a speech that will unify Republicans on policy,” he said. “That I think he’s been working the phones. I was with him all weekend. He wants us to win in 2022.”

“And stay tuned,” he continued. “I think you’re going to see over the next couple of months, Donald Trump lead the Republican Party on policy and give us the energy we need to take back the House and the Senate.”

“The Democrats are doing their part,” Graham added. “If we can get behind President Trump and follow his lead, we will win in 2022. If we argue with ourselves, we’re going to — we’re going to lose. And there’s no reason to lose.”

Graham Meets With Trump

This comes after Graham met with Trump over the weekend at Mar-a-Lago, and he told The Hill that they “just talked about the 2022 cycle.”

“He’s very involved in helping the team win,” Graham added, saying that Trump “made a bunch of phone calls,” specifically with GOP senators, and is “trying to get the best team on the field.”

When asked if there was any indication that Trump would run for president again in 2024, Graham simply said, “Stay tuned,” according to The New York Post.

Graham Slams Richard Burr

This comes days after Graham said that the decision of retiring GOP Sen. Richard Burr of North Carolina to vote in favor of convicting Trump in his impeachment trial makes the former president’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump a shoe-in to win the 2022 Republican nomination to succeed Burr.

“The biggest winner of this whole impeachment trial I think is Lara Trump,” Graham said.

“My dear friend Richard Burr, who I like and I’ve been friends to a long time, just made Lara Trump almost the certain nominee for the Senate seat in North Carolina to replace him if she runs, and I certainly would be behind her because I think she represents the future of the Republican Party,” he added.

Eric Trump Reveals His Father Is Not Going Away – ‘He Is The Modern Republican Party’

Eric Trump went on Fox News on Monday morning to talk about his father’s future, saying that the actions taken so far in the presidency of Joe Biden are making people miss former President Donald Trump.

Eric Trump Discusses His Father

“I think every single day, Biden makes people miss Donald Trump more,” Eric said of his dad.

“When you see some of these policies that are literally destroying jobs, that are destroying industries, that are causing Texas to freeze, that are cutting off our power to our energy grids and all these other nonsensical policies. Right now, the enthusiasm, it’s better than it’s ever been,” he added.

Eric then talked about Trump’s future after it was announced that the former president would be giving a speech at the CPAC event this weekend, an annual meeting of American conservatives, according to The Independent.

“There’s 75-80 million people who would follow my father to the end of the Earth,” Eric said, adding that they love Trump because he is not a traditional politician.

“There’s no question he will play a pivotal role in politics for a very long time to come,” Eric explained. “I really do believe he is the modern Republican Party.”

Eric also predicted that the Republicans in the House and Senate who turned on Trump and supported impeachment are “going to get primaried” when they come up for reelection.

Eric Declares War On Republicans

This comes weeks after Eric declared war on the Republicans who had turned on his father.

“My father has started a movement, and this movement will never, ever die,” Eric said, adding that this movement “will transcend [Donald Trump], it will transcend all of us”

Eric doubled down on this in a Twitter post.

“I will personally work to defeat every single Republican Senator / Congressman who doesn’t stand up against this fraud – they will be primaried in their next election and they will lose,” he wrote.

His brother Donald Trump Jr. had similar comments.

“They need to fight for Trump, because if not, I’m gonna be in your backyard in a couple of months,” he said. “If you’re gonna be the zero and not the hero, we’re coming for you.”

McConnell Ally John Thune Claims Holding Republicans Responsible For Impeaching Trump Is ‘Cancel Culture’

Senator John Thune, who serves as the Senate GOP whip and is a deputy of Mitch McConnell, decried punishing Republicans who voted to impeach Donald Trump as a form of “cancel culture.”

Thune (R-SD), in an interview with the Associated Press, defended colleagues such as Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Ben Sasse (R-NE) who have been censured by county Republican parties for joining Democrats and voting to impeach or convict the former president.

“There was a strong case made,” he said referencing the presentation made by House impeachment managers, apparently unaware of charges they used doctored evidence.

“People could come to different conclusions,” added Thune. “If we’re going to criticize the media and the left for cancel culture, we can’t be doing that ourselves.”

Thune and McConnell both voted to acquit Trump.

John Thune Thinks Censure Is The Same As Cancel Culture

As The Political Insider’s Becky Noble reported earlier this week, “nearly every Republican Senator who voted to convict” Trump “has either been censured by their Republican voters or faces censure in the near future.”

Thune went on to express his preference for those candidates who opposed Trump.

“At the grassroots level, there’s a lot of people who want to see Trump-like candidates,” he said. “But I think we’re going to be looking for candidates that are electable.”

That’s an odd thing to say considering one recent poll shows a vast majority of Republican voters want to see Trump play a big role in the future of the party and another shows Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA) more exemplifies the party than Cheney.

Speaking of Greene – Why did Thune support ‘cancel culture’ when it came to her?

In response to the House GOP choosing not to punish Greene for her controversial comments, Thune said, “I think we’ve got to be a party of ideas and policies and principles and get away from members dabbling in conspiracy theories.”

Doesn’t that seem to indicate he wanted Greene censured or stripped of her committee assignments – canceled – as Democrats eventually did?

Trump Hammers Mitch McConnell

Thune’s comments are the first made by a high-profile Republican after Trump ravaged Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell as “a dour, sullen and unsmiling political hack.”

“The Republican Party can never again be respected or strong with political ‘leaders’ like Sen. Mitch McConnell at its helm,” Trump said in a statement.

Thune’s response is incredibly hypocritical, considering he indicated just last week that he was open to censuring Trump should the impeachment conviction fail.

“I know there are a couple of resolutions out there … I’ve seen a couple of resolutions at least that I think could attract some support,” he said.

It’s okay to cancel Trump but not Liz Cheney? What a rube.

Engaging in a civil war with the former President is not going to end well for establishment Republicans. They’re practically canceling themselves right before our eyes.
