Ivanka Trump Reveals Whether Or Not She’ll Challenge Rubio For His Florida Senate Seat

Back in December, we reported that rumors were swirling that Ivanka Trump was about to challenge Marco Rubio (R-FL) for his Senate seat. Now, however, she appears to be putting these rumors to rest.

Ivanka Says She Won’t Challenge Rubio

Ivanka has reportedly informed Rubio that she will not be running against him after all, despite the fact that she just moved to Miami with her husband Jared Kushner and their three children.

Speculation had been mounting that Ivanka was planning to launch a political career of her own, and given her move there, it seemed likely that she would challenge Rubio when he was up for reelection in 2022.

Ivanka told Daily Mail that she considers Rubio to be a “good personal friend” of hers, which could be why she doesn’t want to run against him.

“Marco has been a tremendous advocate for working families, a good person friend and I know he will continue to drive meaningful progress on issues we both care deeply about,” Ivanka said.

Ivanka And Rubio To Team Up

Ivanka and Rubio are reportedly thinking about teaming up together on an event in Florida sometime in the next few months on their expansion of the Child Tax Credit, an issue she worked on when she served as a White House adviser.

“Marco and Ivanka did speak a few weeks ago. Ivanka offered her support for Marco’s reelection and they had a great talk,” said Nick Iacovella, a spokesman for Rubio. “We are discussing a joint event to highlight Marco and Ivanka’s successful push to expand the Child Tax Credit.”

If this event goes through, it will be seen as Ivanka’s endorsement of Rubio in his reelection campaign.

This comes as Ivanka’s sister-in-law Lara Trump, who is married to her brother Eric, is reportedly considering a run for Senate in her home state of North Carolina.

After retiring Republican Senator Richard Burr voted in favor of impeaching former President Donald Trump in his impeachment trial, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said that Lara would almost definitely score the Republican nomination if she runs.

“My friend Richard Burr just made Lara Trump almost the certain nominee for the Senate seat in North Carolina to replace him if she runs,” Graham said last Sunday.

Meghan McCain Says The ‘Only Way To Become A Good Republican Is To Become A Democrat,’ According To The Media

On Tuesday’s episode of “The View,” Meghan McCain lashed out at the media, saying that according to them, “the only way to become a good Republican is to become a Democrat.”

Sunny Hostin Rants Against Republicans

McCain said this in frustration after her cohost Sunny Hostin went on yet another outrageous rant against Republicans.

“This is the Republican party today,” Hostin said. “It’s the MAGA party. It’s the QAnon party. It’s the Confederate flag, statue-loving party. It’s the Trump party. That’s the party of today.”

“Those who refuse to be that type of party get censured, get nasty letters from their families, get ostracized,” she added. “That’s what our country is looking at today, the party of white supremacy, the party that carries swastikas into the Capitol.”

That’s when McCain went off.

McCain Fires Back

“It’s easy to say that the Republican Party is only the party of QAnon and all these things,” McCain said. “If that’s the truth, the Democratic Party is the party of socialism and cancel culture and no responsibility and ramifications for any of your actions. You can burn down cities like Kenosha, and it’s fine. These are broad-stroke platitudes.”

“As much as the Left wants to act like Republicans are only QAnon supporters, part of the problem is when I hear that, I automatically get very tribal and say I don’t want the left,” she added.

“To me, I’m the most intensively pro-life person that I know of, particularly on mainstream TV,” McCain added. “I believe that abortion is murder. I know that the opposite party says there are some people that don’t agree with me, think that abortion should happen up to late-term.”

McCain Doubles Down

“I think the idea that the Republican Party is just one swath it’s just not nuanced,” McCain concluded. “The problem I have is the only way to become a good Republican is to become a Democrat, according to the media. I don’t know what to do anymore.”

McCain is a Republican who was against Donald Trump during his presidency. She regularly clashes with her cohosts, however, as they are all liberals who are against many of her conservative values.

Trump Returns To Public Spotlight, Delivers Blistering Statement On ‘Political Hack’ Mitch McConnell

Donald Trump jumped back into the public eye on Tuesday night to draw a line in the sand between himself and the Republican establishment, delivering a statement absolutely ravaging Mitch McConnell as “a dour, sullen and unsmiling political hack.”

Trump lashed out at the Senate Minority Leader for the party’s loss of the majority, attacked him for being weak on China, and threatened to campaign for his own “America First” candidates in primaries if they are not backed by the GOP.

“The Republican Party can never again be respected or strong with political ‘leaders’ like Sen. Mitch McConnell at its helm,” the statement reads.

“McConnell’s dedication to business as usual, status quo policies, together with his lack of political insight, wisdom, skill, and personality, has rapidly driven him from Majority Leader to Minority Leader, and it will only get worse.”

Trump’s message, delivered by the Save America PAC, went on to suggest McConnell “doesn’t have what it takes, never did, and never will.”

“Mitch is a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack, and if Republican Senators are going to stay with him, they will not win again,” the former President warned. “He will never do what needs to be done, or what is right for our Country.”

Trump Eviscerates Mitch McConnell

If you can believe it, one report indicates aides to former President Trump had to tone down the blistering statement against Mitch McConnell.

“There was also a lot of repetitive stuff and definitely something about him having too many chins but not enough smarts,” a source told Politico.

The statement comes as McConnell has been incredibly vocal of his disdain for Trump and his alleged role in the Capitol riot, despite his vote to acquit him at the Senate impeachment trial.

McConnell practically provided a roadmap for Democrats who are now suing the former President.

“We have a criminal justice system in this country. We have civil litigation,” the Kentucky Republican said adding Trump “didn’t get away with anything, yet.”

America First vs. America Last

Mitch McConnell has warned that he will not support Trump-backed candidates such as Kelli Ward in Arizona and the former President’s daughter-in-law Lara in North Carolina.

“My goal is, in every way possible, to have nominees representing the Republican Party who can win in November,” McConnell told Politico.

“Some of them may be people the former president likes. Some of them may not be. The only thing I care about is electability.”

Judging by the lack of performance by Republicans in Congress, McConnell isn’t lying that ‘electability’ is the only thing he cares about.

Donald Trump certainly has the backing of Republican voters over Mitch McConnell, and thus likely the political clout for his “America First” candidates to have success.

A pair of polls from earlier this week indicate a vast majority of GOP voters want to see Trump play a big role in the future of the party, including running again in 2024.

“Where necessary and appropriate, I will back primary rivals who espouse Making America Great Again and our policy of America First,” Trump’s statement reads.

“We want brilliant, strong, thoughtful, and compassionate leadership.”

It’s clear Trump doesn’t think McConnell fits that description any longer.

Sean Hannity Rips ‘Sanctimonious’ Mitch McConnell – Calls For New Leadership In The Senate

Fox News host Sean Hannity spoke out on Monday night to blast Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who he described as “sanctimonious” for giving a speech on the Senate floor over the weekend in which he condemned former President Donald Trump.

Hannity went so far as to suggest that it might be time to look into new leadership in the Senate.

Hannity Goes Off On GOP Leaders

“Voters in this country are smart, not stupid,” Hannity said. “We can see the snap impeachment was nothing but political theater, no due process, no evidence, no defense, none of it.”

“Now finding out it was all preplanned ahead of time and another needless smear that accomplished nothing,” the Fox News host added. “It’s been five years of this. They’ve also had it with Republicans and Democratic swamp creatures.”

“This is the question Republicans have to ask themselves tonight,” Hannity continued. “Where was John Thune and Mitch McConnell fighting against the biggest abuse of power corruption scandal in our history with Operation Crossfire Hurricane? They were missing in action.”

“Where’s the sanctimonious Mitch McConnell, John Thune, demanding that Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters— when is he going to give a speech on the Senate floor and hold those Democrats accountable for their incitement of insurrection and their insurrection-like language?” Hannnity concluded.

“The time is now coming for new leadership in the U.S. Senate,” he said. “We will be dealing with that.”

This comes after McConnell claimed that Trump had committed “a disgraceful dereliction of duty” by his actions before last month’s Capitol riot, and was “practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of that day.”

Graham Rips Into McConnell

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) ripped into McConnell for this anti-Trump speech, saying that he “put a load on the back of Republicans.”

“I think Senator McConnell’s speech, he got a load off a chest obviously, but unfortunately he put a load on the back of Republicans,” he added. “That speech you will see in 2022 campaigns.”

“I would imagine if you’re a Republican running in Arizona or  Georgia or New Hampshire, where we have a chance to take back the Senate, they may be playing Senator McConnell’s speech and asking about it as a candidate,” Graham continued.

“I imagine if you’re an incumbent Republican, they’re going to be people asking you will you support Senator McConnell in the future,” he concluded. “So I like them, Senator McConnell. He worked well with President Trump. I think his speech is an outlier regarding how Republicans feel about all this.”

Nearly Every Senator Who Voted To Convict Trump Faces Censure Or Has Been Censured

As of today, nearly every Republican Senator who voted to convict former President Donald Trump in his impeachment conviction trial has either been censured by their Republican voters or faces censure in the near future.

On Saturday, the U.S. Senate voted to acquit Trump on the charge that he incited the Jan. 6 Capitol Hill riot. The 57-43 vote to convict failed to reach the two-thirds majority required in the upper chamber.

Joining all fifty Democrat Senators who voted to convict were seven GOP Senators:

  • Susan Collins of Maine
  • Mitt Romney of Utah
  • Bill Cassidy of Louisiana
  • Richard Burr of North Carolina
  • Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania
  • Ben Sasse of Nebraska, and
  • Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.

All have either been censured or are facing censure at home by at least one county Republican committee, save for Murkowski, who is up for re-election in 2022, so far.

RELATED: Dem Congressman Files Lawsuit Against Trump For His Alleged Role In Capitol Hill Riot

Republicans Making Their Feelings Known

The seven Senators who voted to convict join several of their colleagues in the House who also are facing not just unhappy voters at home, but in some cases, already have primary challengers in 2022 for their votes to impeach.

One of the most high profile House members to face backlash which includes a primary challenger is Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY). Cheney was also called out by fellow Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) , who went to Wyoming to support constituents who want to replace her in Congress.

In the House, in addition to Cheney, South Carolina Rep. Tom Rice was also censured at home.

Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) has not only taken heat at home from constituents for his vote to impeach, but several members of his own family have called him an ’embarrassment.’

Pro-Impeachment Senators All Facing Backlash

According to a report from Vox, the Republican Parties of Louisiana and North Carolina wasted no time in blasting Bill Cassidy and Richard Burr, respectively.

“The Executive Committee of the Republican Party of Louisiana has unanimously voted to censure Senator Bill Cassidy for his vote cast earlier today to convict former President Donald J. Trump on the impeachment charge.”

The feeling in North Carolina was essentially the same. In a statement issued by NCGOP Chair Michael Whatley, he stated that Burr’s vote was “shocking and disappointing.”

“North Carolina Republicans sent Senator Burr to the United States Senate to uphold the Constitution and his vote today to convict in a trial that he declared unconstitutional is shocking and disappointing.”

Burr and Senator Pat Toomey have already announced that neither would be seeking re-election, which perhaps might have given both the feeling of having a bit of wiggle room when it came to pleasing or displeasing constituents.

Washington County Pennsylvania Republican Party Chairman Dave Ball stated of Toomey that “As far as we’re concerned, his political career is over in this state, even if he were to try to run again. His legacy is tarnished beyond repair.”

Sasse was censured by his fellow Nebraska Republicans for what they cited as “dismissing the legitimate concerns of Nebraska’s Secretary of State, and a huge majority of Republican voters regarding allegations of fraud in November’s presidential election.”

In response, Sasse released a rather condescending video to Nebraska Republicans explaining to them what was “conservative” and what was not.

In Maine, censure resolutions are being considered.

In Utah, Republican voters are circulating a petition online calling to censure Mitt Romney, though that state GOP has defended ‘diversity of thought.’

Will Voters Hold Them Accountable At The Ballot?

There are several things that might make Senators taking heat for their conviction vote interesting.

Of these seven, only Lisa Murkowski of Alaska is up for re-election. Burr and Toomey are retiring, and Romney is in the middle of his first term.

The rest were all just re-elected.

Another interesting factor is  two Senators who have not been censured by their own voters – the two Republicans who challenged the electoral college votes.

Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Josh Hawley (R-MO) were blamed by Democrat Senators for the riot and there were calls by many for both to resign or be expelled

And in what might the most intriguing aspect of the “Gang of 7,” is that in the wake of Burr’s retirement announcement, there will be a vacancy in one of North Carolina’s Senate seats.

Former Representative Mark Walker has thrown his hat into the ring for 2022, but another name is floating around, that of Lara Trump.

The North Carolina native and wife of Eric Trump recently got a huge boost from Lindsey Graham, who described her as the “biggest winner of the impeachment trial.”

As Americans get more and more tired of sending people to Washington who do not reflect their wishes, the Gang of 7 and those like them may just be the last of a dying breed.

Donald Trump Surprises Supporters By Showing Up At Presidents’ Day Rally In Palm Beach

On Monday, former President Donald Trump surprised a crowd of Trump fans by appearing at a Presidents’ Day rally in Palm Beach, Florida.

As his supporters lined the streets, Trump rolled slowly past the cheering crowd in a black SUV, protected by Secret Service agents.

From video of the event, there appears to be at least hundreds of supporters lining the streets.

Hundreds Of Trump Supporters Excited By His Surprise Appearance

The former president’s supporters chanted “U-S-A!, U-S-A!” as Trump could be seen through the SUV window.

Police were at the President’s Day event to maintain crowd control and safety.

Two SUVs were part of Trump’s convoy, driving slowly through the crowd of supporters before eventually continuing down the highway.

Video of the event was live streamed by Right Side Broadcasting Network, who were present for the event.

About a mile west of Mar-a-Lago – Trump’s current residence – is where the many Trump supporters joined the to celebrate Presidents’ Day and cheer the former president of the United States.

Supporters Show Love For Trump

Trump’s fans wanted him to know how they felt about him.

A woman from San Antonio, Texas on Sunday spent more than $1,000 to have a plane fly over Mar-a-Lago with the message, “We love you Prez Trump. Happy Valentine’s Day.”

Another message for Trump flew by that read, “We (love) Trump! The Best is Yet to Come.”

Donald Trump, Jr. tweeted out videos of both his dad driving by supporters, and also the plane and its message.

“Incredible presidents day celebration in front of Mar-a-Lago,” Don Jr. wrote. “Check out what has been going on all day here in Palm Beach.”

“Absolutely Incredible,” he added.

“Check out this Valentine’s Day card for POTUS 45. This is awesome!!!” said in another tweet with the plane.

Trump Support Runs Deep Among Republicans

Support for Trump within the GOP runs deep. A recent CNBC poll showed how much support he still has among Republicans.

CNBC reported on Friday, “A CNBC survey conducted in the days before former President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial finds a large share of Republicans want him to remain head of their party.”

RELATED: House Republicans Send Brutal Message To Pelosi – Demand Answers From Her On Security Decisions Before Capitol Riot

“The CNBC All-America Economic Survey shows 54% of Americans want Trump ‘to remove himself from politics entirely,” the report continued. “That was the sentiment of 81% of Democrats and 47% of Independents, but only 26% of Republicans.”

CNBC continued, “When it comes to Republicans, 74% want him to stay active in some way, including 48% who want him to remain head of the Republican Party, 11% who want him to start a third party, and 12% who say he should remain active in politics but not as head of any party.”

Whoopi Goldberg Gushes Over Biden – ‘We Finally Have A President In Office Who We Are Honored To Celebrate’

On Monday’s episode of “The View,” cohost Whoopi Goldberg celebrated Presidents’ Day by gushing about Joe Biden like it was her job.

Goldberg introduced a montage of positive clips of Biden by saying that “we finally have a president in office who we are honored to celebrate.”

Whoopi Goldberg And ‘The View’ Hosts Gush Over Biden

“Today is Presidents’ Day, and it’s been a long time coming for all of us here on ‘The View’ because we finally have a president in office who we are honored to celebrate,” she said.

“Plus, our other relationship with President Biden goes way back before he became number 46. take a look,” Goldberg added.

After the montage, the cohosts went all out in heaping praise on Biden.

“He’s adorable. He’s so genuine and sweet and lovely and funny. Everything you want in a man and in a president, you know? He’s great, and he’s right for these times. He’s perfect for these times, I think,” said cohost Joy Behar.

“That was cathartic to watch,” Sara Haines chimed in to say, before Behar added, “I’m glad we have him.”

“Just decent, it’s nice,” said cohost Sunny Hostin.

Goldberg Doubles Down

That’s when Goldberg brought this ridiculousness to a whole new level.

“I think it’s why he didn’t win before because it wasn’t his time because he was going to be needed later on,” she said. “So, you know, I have to say, you know, he’s a great riding buddy if you are on the train. You know?  I love riding. I would catch up with him back and forth on the train, and he’s just a great guy.”

Related: Whoopi Goldberg Goes Off On Republicans Who Voted Against Impeachment – ‘You’re Scared’

“He’s a real guy,” Goldberg added. “So I understand talking to him a lot. So I’m glad we got him too, Joy. I’m glad we all got him. He’s all of our presidents. He’ll figure out how to make it work for everybody, and that’s the best thing.”

This is in stark contrast to the way the women of “The View” treated former President Donald Trump during his time in office.

Goldberg refused to even say his name during his  presidency, and Behar accused him of everything from rape to murder in her daily unhinged rants against him.

Lindsey Graham Declares Lara Trump ‘Biggest Winner’ Of Impeachment Trial As He Backs Her For Senate

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) spoke out over the weekend to declare Lara Trump to be the “biggest winner” of impeachment trial as he threw his support behind her for Senate in North Carolina. Republican Senate candidate Mark Walker of North Carolina, however, is already pushing back against Graham on this.

Graham Praises Lara Trump

While appearing on Fox News on Sunday, Graham said that the decision of retiring GOP Sen. Richard Burr of North Carolina to vote in favor of convicting former President Donald Trump in his impeachment trial makes Lara a shoe-in to win the 2022 Republican nomination to succeed Burr.

“The biggest winner of this whole impeachment trial I think is Lara Trump,” Graham said.

“My dear friend Richard Burr, who I like and I’ve been friends to a long time, just made Lara Trump almost the certain nominee for the Senate seat in North Carolina to replace him if she runs, and I certainly would be behind her because I think she represents the future of the Republican Party,” he added.

Walker Fires Back

Walker, the only major Republican to officially jump into this race so far, fired back on Monday morning in an interview with Fox Business.

“In the words of I believe it was John Ashcroft, Lindsey is always confident but not always right,” he said. He went on to claim that he is not paying attention to other potentially candidates who may jump into this race, which is likely to be hotly contested.

“We can’t control what anyone else is doing,” Walker said. “This is something we’re focused on because it’s in our heart to do, service has been part of our life for nearly a quarter century and we’re going to continue to do so.”

Doug Heye, a former Republican National Committee spokesman and a North Carolina native who previously worked for Burr, also took issue with what Graham said.

“I don’t see how Saturday’s vote affect that at all,” Heye said. “You’ve got to do some crazy kind of algebra and cheating your math to get that.”

He added that Lara “could raise a ton of money” if she ran, but he questioned if she’ll actually launch a campaign.

George Washington Should Be Celebrated, Not Canceled – A President’s Day Reminder

George Washington is the United States of America’s first president and the father of our country.

He is a man of legendary stature around the entire globe for his wisdom and bravery.

But today, many on the far-left believe he should be canceled – erased from American culture and history.

It’s incumbent on patriotic Americans to rise to this challenge, and celebrate Washington more than ever.

RELATED: Sen. Ben Sasse Joins List Of Anti-Trump Republicans Censured By Their Own Party

Tearing Down Washington

In June 2020, George Washington was the top trending topic on Twitter after his statue was toppled in Portland, Oregon.

The next day, his statue was also defaced in Baltimore’s Druid Hill Park.

There are more examples of leftist attacks on Washington as a symbol of our country and Founding Father. I will spare you the gory details.

Schools named after Washington in various U.S. cities and towns are dropping the name as citizens kowtow to an outrageous and radical “woke” left.

The head of one private all-female prep middle school and high school, Harpeth Hall, in Nashville, Tennessee said that the school’s annual reflection on Washington was “not consistent with or relevant to the way that we teach history today.”

Pure nonsense.

The Greatness Of Washington

Washington helped win the Revolutionary War and served as the first Commander-in-Chief, but there is even more to his grand legacy.

The Competitive Enterprise Institute’s John Berlau’s book “George Washington: Entrepreneur: How Our Founding Father’s Private Business Pursuits Changed America and the World” explains how George Washington paved the way for American innovation and dynamism through his business ventures and support of early American inventors.

Berlau explains, “I reveal how excessive British regulation was a big factor in turning him toward revolution.”

Obviously American independence was crucial to our budding nation. But Berlau also explains how Washington spoke out against the bigots of his time.

“I also show how Washington crusaded against bigotry toward Catholics and Jews and eventually turned against slavery—speaking out against it frequently in letters and freeing all his enslaved workers in his will,” Berlau writes.

On the Harpeth Hall school controversy, Berlau said, “I think it’s very sad but unfortunately typical of what’s going on in the rest of the country.”

He added, “If I were a parent with a student at that school, I would be very disappointed that they were not giving my child a well-rounded education.”

“Washington wasn’t perfect, and It’s fine to teach criticism of him and the other Founding Fathers, but this school official actually says learning about him is irrelevant,” Berlau continued.

If You Cancel Washington, You Might As Well Cancel America Entirely

“But of course, George Washington is relevant if you live in this country, being the father of this country and someone who set up the American system,” he noted. “He took the unheard step of voluntarily giving up power both after the war for independence and then as president, setting the American precedent of peaceful transition of power.”

Berlau emphasized how crucial Washington was for setting the original pace of American values like ingenuity and striving for improvement.

“George Washington was also responsible in many ways for setting up America’s tradition of innovation,” he said. “He was an innovator himself.”

RELATED: Here Are the 6 Republicans Who Voted That Trump’s Impeachment Trial Is Constitutional

“Making new plows and creating things like a 16-sided barn. He was the first to bring mules to America. And introducing crop rotation,” he explained.

“Giving up tobacco when he found it was harmful to soil, and planting new crops like weed and hemp,” Berlau continued. “And he was a patron of American inventors both as a private citizen and a president.”

“There are so many things I think that are inspiring today about both George and Martha,” Berlau finished.

I’ve only scratched the surface here. Readers can learn much more in books, like those of Berlau and Ron Chernow.

George Washington should never be canceled. And for those who believe otherwise, you might as well cancel the rest of America too.

New York State Democrats Want To Rename Donald J. Trump State Park

Democrats in the New York state legislature are pushing a bill to rename Donald J. Trump State Park, a park about 50 miles north of New York City.

The park is a 436-acre area of unused land about eight miles east of Peekskill, New York.

RELATED: DeSantis Rips Media Over Coverage Of Maskless Super Bowl Fans: ‘You Only Care If It’s People You Don’t Like!’

‘For These Reasons The Donald J. Trump State Park Should Be Renamed’

“New York State has always been known for its history of welcoming and embracing people of all cultures and backgrounds,” the bill states. “Even our park system reflects these values.”

The bill continues, “According to the Declaration of Policy of the Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation, our parks should foster and strengthen the sense of purpose, well-being and identity of the citizens of this state.”

“The names of these parks and green spaces should embody the goals of uplifting and unifying New Yorkers,” the bill puts forth.

“For these reasons the Donald J. Trump State Park should be renamed.”

Trump bought the land for the purpose of building a golf course. That plan was changed so the former president donated the land to the state in 2006.

His only stipulation was that the area was named after him. But the land never actually became a state park.

The Push To Rename The Park Is Not New

Trying to change the name of this New York land is not a new effort.

In 2015, two Democratic lawmakers introduced a bill titled the “Anything But Trump Act.”

Democratic Assemblyman Charles Lavine said six years ago, “It is time the state of New York sends a message to Donald Trump that his hate speech is not welcome in our great state.”

“I am confident that the governor will take our letters into consideration,” he added. “If he is unable to act, then we are prepared to move forward with this legislation.”

‘We Want People To Be Able To Appreciate Parkland… Without Shame’

The latest bill to change the name was sponsored by Democratic Assemblywoman Nily Rozic who said, “Our parklands should be reflective of New Yorkers that we can be proud of, New Yorkers that have expressed our values.”

She added, “There are a lot of other New Yorkers who are worthy of the honor of having a park named after themselves.”

“We’ve been working on this for a number of years, and I certainly am hopeful that it will get the green light and move forward,” she continued.

She finished,  “At the end of the day, we want people to be able to appreciate parkland and be able to visit it without stigma, without shame, and we want to be able to be proud of our open spaces.”
