Report: Trump To Award Devin Nunes, Jim Jordan With Presidential Medal Of Freedom

President Trump will reportedly award two of his staunchest allies – Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) and Rep. Jim Jordan (D-OH) – with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

The prestigious award is the Nation’s highest civilian honor.

The Washington Post, citing a source familiar with the plans, claimed the President “is using his final days in the White House in part to reward friends and allies with pardons and other decorations.”

They describe Nunes as “one of Trump’s most vocal supporters in his quest to undermine the Justice Department’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.”

The President is expected to award Nunes with the medal on Monday, and Jordan next week.

Of course, describing Nunes’ efforts as “undermin(ing) the Justice Department’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election” is an incredibly biased way of saying ‘revealing corruption during the Special Counsel’s probe.’

And Nunes did that in spades.

If not for the California Republican, America might never have known about the deep-seated corruption that took place behind closed doors during the Russia probe.

Nunes authored a memo that was released by the House Intelligence Committee in February, 2018, which alleged abuses of power by the FBI during its investigation into the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia.

Nunes, according to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), would ultimately be “proven correct” by the Mueller report, while House Intelligence Committee Chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), who provided a counter-memo and repeatedly leaked information to the media, would ultimately be proven a liar.

Schiff repeatedly stated through left-wing media outlets that there was “direct evidence” of collusion even as he knew that Obama officials testified time and again that there was no such evidence.

Nunes suggested Schiff was so adept at lying that he might be in need of rehabilitation.

“After publishing false conclusions of such enormity on a topic directly within this committee’s oversight responsibilities, it is clear you are in need of rehabilitation,” Nunes wrote in a letter, “and I hope this letter will serve as the first step in that vital process.”

More recently, Nunes announced plans to submit a criminal referral to the Department of Justice following the release of newly declassified messages from former FBI agent Peter Strzok.

The California Republican suggested the DOJ and FBI misled Congress regarding documents that had been requested during an investigation of potential FISA abuses.

Jim Jordan, like Devin Nunes, has also been a vocal supporter of the President and will receive the Medal of Freedom.

Jordan repeatedly made a fool of Schiff during impeachment inquiry meetings, pointing out that the Democrat had a reputation for lying.

Fox News host Sean Hannity told Nunes that he deserved the Presidential Medal of Freedom during a segment on his show in August of 2018.

Hannity said Nunes “frankly, deserves the medal of freedom for really showing, sadly, the biggest abuse of power corruption scandal.”

President Trump would later laud Nunes during an interview on Fox & Friends.

“He is really, what he has gone through and his bravery. He should get a very important medal,” Trump said. “Maybe we’ll call it medal of freedom because we actually give them, they’re high awards for civilians.”

Trump Dossier Source Was a Suspected Russian Spy, and the FBI Knew It

By Eric Felten for RealClearInvestigations

The FBI long suspected that a major source for Christopher Steele’s anti-Trump dossier was a Russian spy, according to newly declassified documents.

In other words, the bureau knowingly relied on the word of a suspected Russian spy to spy on a Trump campaign aide wrongly smeared as a Russian spy: Carter Page.

Republicans seized on the disclosure.

Rep. Devin Nunes told RealClearInvestigations: “The revelations are further proof of what we already knew – that the Democrats, and only the Democrats, colluded with Russians to swing the 2016 election.”

The material declassified by Attorney General William Barr shows that as far back as 2009 the FBI was investigating as a potential Russian intelligence operative the Brookings Institution researcher who in 2016 would become the dossier’s “primary sub-source.”

RELATED: If James Comey Was That Incompetent At The FBI, How Did He Keep His Job?

He was identified by RealClearInvestigations this past summer as Igor Danchenko, 42, who confessed to the FBI in 2017 that his dossier fabrications were largely inspired by gossip and bar talk among him and his drinking buddies, most of whom were childhood friends from Russia.

The bureau used the now-debunked dossier based on Danchenko’s falsehoods in four applications before the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court in order to spy on Page – and people Page communicated with.

Democrats including Rep. Adam Schiff, the House Intelligence Committee chariman, had long described the dossier – which was opposition research paid for by Hillary Clinton’s campaign – as credible, and said its claims demanded a broader investigation of Trump and his campaign’s ties to Russia.

But according to Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on Department of Justice abuses of FISA court applications, “Steele himself was not the originating source of any of the factual information in his reporting.”

Instead, Steele turned to the “primary sub-source” to bring him information supposedly gathered from a network of highly placed Russian sources.

And the FBI surely knew Danchenko was probably not one to trust, according to a newly “unclassified summary of classified investigative case file reports” provided by the Justice Department to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham.

RELATED: Trump Calls For Arrest Of Former FBI Director James Comey

It says the FBI commenced its Trump-Russia investigation “based on information by the FBI indicating that the Primary Sub-source may be a threat to national security.”

It also details the FBI’s earlier Danchenko spy investigation, begun when he was at Brookings, working with Fiona Hill, who would later work for the State Department in Ukraine and testify at President Trump’s impeachment hearings.

Two junior researchers at “a prominent U.S. think tank,” the summary says — read, Brookings — were at a “work-related event in late 2008,” sitting at a table when they were approached by a fellow researcher — Danchenko.

What followed was a remarkably bold, if clumsy, invitation to join a criminal conspiracy. Late 2008, of course, was the transition time to the incoming Obama administration.

Danchenko made a proposition to the two at the table: If either “did get a job in the government and had access to classified information” and wanted “to make a little extra money,” he “knew some people to whom they could speak.”

Word of this conversation made it to the FBI months later and the bureau launched a preliminary investigation into Danchenko (who is opaquely referred to in the DoJ summary as “the employee”).

One of the co-workers propositioned by Danchenko expressed “suspicion of the employee” to the FBI, going so far as to entertain “the possibility that the employee might actually be a Russian spy.”

RELATED: Secret Report: CIA’s Brennan Overruled Dissenters Who Concluded Russia Favored Hillary

The FBI converted its Danchenko probe into a full investigation.

The bureau found he was “an associate of two FBI counterintelligence subjects” and discovered that he “had contact in 2006 with the Russian Embassy and known Russian intelligence officers.”

The summary suggests that the FBI had a bug on at least one of those Russians, since the bureau has extensive accounts of the conversations the intelligence officer had with Danchenko:

[T]he Russian Intelligence Officer invited the Primary Sub-source to the Russian Embassy to see his office. The Primary Sub-source told the Russian Intelligence Officer that he/she was interested in entering the Russian diplomatic service one day. The two discussed a time when the Primary Sub-source was to visit. Four days later, the Russian Intelligence Officer contacted the Primary Sub-source and informed him/her they could meet that day to work “on the documents and then think about future plans.” Later in October 2006, the Primary Sub-source contacted the Russian Intelligence Officer seeking a reply “so the documents can be placed in tomorrow’s diplomatic mail pouch.”

The FBI did some asking around and interviewed at least one person who had been troubled by how Danchenko “persistently asked about the interviewee’s knowledge of a particular military vessel.”

By July 2010, the FBI was applying for a FISA warrant to put Danchenko under surveillance.

But before the FISA application was approved, Danchenko left the U.S. The FBI closed the investigation.

Come the end of 2016, the Crossfire Hurricane team at the FBI knew that Danchenko was the source of Christopher Steele’s extraordinary allegations.

The Crossfire crew also knew of the 2009 investigation that gathered evidence Danchenko was a Russian spy.

And yet, even with reason to suspect that the materials produced by Danchenko were Russian disinformation, the FBI agents investigating the Trump campaign continued to treat the Steele dossier as if it were something to be believed.

RealClearInvestigations asked Danchenko’s lawyer, Mark Schamel, whether his client is or has ever been a Russian agent.

“As every objective investigation has shown,” Schamel said, “Mr. Danchenko is an exceptional analyst who is truthful and credible.”

AOC Demands People Stop Asking ‘If’ White Supremacy Exists In Policing – Says They Need To Talk About How Bad It Is Instead

The radically liberal Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y) called on lawmakers to stop “asking if white supremacy in policing exists” and to instead accept that it does. She also wants them to focus on determining just how big of a problem white supremacy in policing is going forward.

Ocasio-Cortez Speaks Out On Policing

Ocasio-Cortez made these comments during a House Oversight and Reform hearing that was meant to focus on what the left described as the “pervasive” problem of white supremacists infiltrating the police departments in America. Law enforcement officers, legal experts, and even one former neo-Nazi  testified about their personal experiences with racist police officers.

Later in the hearing, Ocasio-Cortez was given the chance to speak, and she used her time to suggest that “far too much of the discussion around the issue of white supremacist infiltration of policing focuses on whether this problem exists.”

RELATED: Michael Rapaport Torches AOC For Ignoring NYC’s Surge In Shootings – ‘You Never Bring That Stuff Up’

“We have known for generations that it’s not a question about whether this problem is an issue, it’s a matter of how we have allowed it to sustain for so long,” she said. “Congress, as well, has been complicit, and our silence has allowed for more violence and continued generational trauma in our communities.”

“We have to stop asking if white supremacy in policing exists and I think we need to start figuring out how we can better determine the scale of this problem,” she added.

Police Officers Don’t Deserve These Attacks

This just goes to show that the level of hatred that Ocasio-Cortez and her fellow Democrats have for police has become so great that they see it as a foregone conclusion that police departments are “racist.”

It’s rhetoric like this from lawmakers like Ocasio-Cortez as well as from members of the media that have endangered the lives of American police officers all over the country like never before.

It should be noted that the FBI was asked to testify in the hearing, but refused. Oversight and Reform Committee Chairman Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) said “they have nothing to say because they have no evidence that this is a widespread problem demanding the FBI’s attention.”

We would have to agree with the FBI on this one.

Woman Who Allegedly Tried To Assassinate Trump By Sending Him Poison Is Identified

Over the weekend, we reported that there was an alleged assassination attempt on President Donald Trump when someone sent a package containing the poison ricin to the White House, addressing it to the president. Now, the person who was allegedly behind this has been identified.

Woman Arrested After Allegedly Sending Poison To Trump

Pascale Ferrier of Quebec, Canada was taken into custody on Sunday for allegedly sending ricin to Trump, according to The New York Post. She was apprehended by US Customs and Border Protection agents at the Peace Bridge border crossing near Buffalo, New York.

Ferrier was scheduled to appear in court on Monday, but her appearance was delayed until Tuesday. She had been living in the United States since last year, and court documents show that she was arrested in May of 2019 in Mission for using a fake driver’s license. Ferrier pleaded not guilty to this charge and spent twenty days behind bars before the charge was dropped because it was her first offense.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police spokesman Cpl. Charles said that on Monday, officers carried out a search of a condo in Saint-Hubert on Montreal’s South Shore in connection with the ricin-laced envelopes. While he said that there is a link between Ferrier and the condo, he would not confirm that she lived there.

“The RCMP is assisting the FBI in this investigation,” Poirier told reporters. “We believe a total of six letters were sent — one to the White House and five to Texas.”

Ricin Sent To Texas As Well

Though Poirier would not elaborate on where in Texas the envelopes were sent, Sheriff Eddie Guerra of the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office in Edinburg, Texas has since confirmed that ricin was mailed to him as well as to three members of his detention staff. Thankfully, Guerra added that nobody in his department was injured by the letters.

Ricin is a poison that is extracted from the seed of the castor plant, often called a “castor bean,” despite not actually being a bean. ”

“An average adult needs only 1.78 mg of ricin injected or inhaled to die; that’s about the size of a few grains of table salt—which ricin resembles visually,” according to Popular Science.

McMaster And The ‘Deep State’: Some People In The Administration Are Trying To Save The World ‘From The President’

Former National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster made a recent comment that will surely leave believers of the ‘deep state’ wondering.

McMaster, during an interview with “60 minutes,” stated there is a group of people within the White House who believe they are saving the world “from the President.”

He believes there are three groups of people operating within the administration.

“There is certainly one group of people there who are there to serve the elected president and to serve the country,” said McMaster.

“I think there are other groups there though, as well, a second group that is there really, instead of providing options to the elected president, they really want to advance their narrow agendas,” he admitted.

The third group is one Raw Story defines as “secret members.”

H.R. McMaster Downplays the Deep State

McMaster explained there is “a third group … who cast themselves in the role of saving the country and maybe the world from the president.”

He did add, though, that he believes this is the case with “any administration.”

“60 Minutes” reiterated the point, saying “as in all administrations, the West Wing was riven by rivals.”

Reporter Scott Pelley pressed McMaster on whether or not he fell into the group trying to save the world from Donald Trump.

“No,” he replied. “It was my duty to help the president come to his own decisions.”

Was it not your duty to let him know there were people trying to undermine the duly elected President?

Trump Believes in a Deep State

President Trump recently accused a “deep state” at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) trying to slow down the testing of COVID vaccines.

“The deep state, or whoever, over at the FDA is making it very difficult for drug companies to get people in order to test the vaccines and therapeutics,” he tweeted weeks ago.

“Obviously, they are hoping to delay the answer until after November 3rd. Must focus on speed, and saving lives!”

While McMaster contends there is a ‘deep state’ battling every administration, there hasn’t likely been quite at the level of those battling President Trump.

Recently released documents from the Department of Justice show multiple members of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team that investigated the President engaged in some shady activity.

They “accidentally wiped” their phones after the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) requested them.

Meanwhile, the Senate Homeland Security Committee has voted to authorize over three dozen subpoenas and depositions of Obama-era officials.

The officials – which include former FBI Director James Comey – were involved in the 2016 Russia investigation into the Trump campaign.

These seem like ‘deep state’ actors, some of who engaged in a cover-up.

A Daily Beast article from 2018 parrots exactly what McMaster is saying, with some in the Justice Department practically admitting to their ‘deep state’ activities.

“We see ourselves as rebels,” one official told the Beast, laughing at the notion.

They added that a “senior official” in the anti-Trump movement who had written an anonymous New York Times op-ed was cause for celebration.

A separate official admitted actual celebrations took place after the ‘resistance’ op-ed was published.

“We even went around fist-bumping each other,” they said.

Alan Dershowitz Makes Bombshell Claim About Obama And Soros

By PoliZette Staff | February 18, 2020

Fox News reports that Harvard Professor and Trump impeachment defense lawyer Alan Dershowitz is claiming, in a startling new bombshell, that Barack Obama personally asked the FBI to investigate the political enemies of far left globalist leader George Soros.

If true, that while president Obama tried to use his own Justice Department as a tool to do the bidding of Soros, heads could roll in a controversy that could engulf DC for some time. It could tank any future political ambitions of Michelle Obama and ensnare the Obama era FBI in yet another cauldron of contention.

MORE NEWS: The five worst presidents in American history

“There was a lot of White House control of the Justice Department during the Kennedy administration and I don’t think we saw very many liberal professors arguing against that,” said Dershowitz in an interview with Breitbart News, putting the subject in historical perspective.

“I have some information as well about the Obama administration – which will be disclosed in a lawsuit at some point, but I’m not prepared to disclose it now – about how President Obama personally asked the FBI to investigate somebody on behalf of George Soros, who was a close ally of his.”

Dershowitz went on: “We’ve seen this kind of White House influence on the Justice Department virtually in every Justice Department. The difference: This president is much more overt about it, he tweets about it. President Obama whispered to the Justice Department about it. And, I don’t think these 1,000 former Justice Department officials would pass the shoe-on-the-other-foot test. Maybe some of them would, but a good many of them wouldn’t.”

Dershowitz is referencing an open letter by Democrat and Obama era DOJ employees asking Bill Barr to resign as Attorney General over alleged misdeeds involving the Roger Stone case.

MORE NEWS: Disturbing new report reveals FBI had multiple informants in Trump’s presidential campaign

He concluded with more words on his charge against Obama and Soros, “That’s going to come out in a lawsuit in the near future, yeah. That is not unusual. People whisper to presidents all the time; presidents whisper to the Justice Department all the time. It’s very common; it’s wrong, whoever does it — but it’s common, and we shouldn’t think it’s unique to any particular president. I have in my possession the actual 302 [witness report] form which documents this issue and it will at the right time come out, but I’m not free to disclose it now because it’s a case that’s not yet been filed.”

This is political dynamite. The left is no doubt already readying the spin. But if Dershowitz is not bluffing or exaggerating, this time spin may not be enough.

Gowdy: “If I Were Donald Trump, I’d Think the FBI Were Out to Get Me Too”

In an interview with Fox News, former South Carolina Representative Trey Gowdy said that if he were the President, he would think the FBI was out to get him too.

“They Suspected Donald Trump of Impropriety”

Gowdy was interviewed by Martha MacCallum on her show on Fox News on Thursday, where they assessed a post-acquittal speech by the President in which he went after James Comey, the former FBI director.

“Had I not fired James Comey, who was a disaster, by the way, it’s possible I wouldn’t even be standing here right now. We caught him in the act,” the President said. “They were trying to overthrow the government of the United States, a duly elected President! If I didn’t fire James Comey, we would have never found this stuff. When I fired that sleazebag, all Hell broke out.”

MacCallum described these as “very strong words,” to which Gowdy agreed.

“Peter Strzok, the lead case agent on this Russia probe, was talking about impeaching Donald Trump before Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler were. Let that sink in,” Gowdy said. “The lead agent for the FBI mentioned impeaching Trump before Schiff and Nadler did. Then the FBI conducts this ‘defensive briefing,’ which is really just an interview, because they suspected Donald Trump of impropriety.”

“You have James Comey who thinks impeachment is too good for him. You have John Brennan that thinks he should be in the dust pan of history. You have Andy McCabe, who after Comey was fired, launched another investigation into Trump. Martha, if I were Donald Trump, I would think the FBI was out to get me, too,” Gowdy argued.

RELATED: Trey Gowdy: “Both Sides are Wrong” in Whistleblower Fight

“Terrible Four Years for the World’s Premier Law Enforcement Agency”

MacCallum noted that President Trump’s firing of Comey was a huge story back when it happened, but put forward that it was ultimately the move that saved the President, as it removed “the person at the top who created a culture that was after him,” and who sought after “a dossier that was paid for by Clinton and DNC.”

Gowdy agreed, but set to “correct the President’s narrative” slightly.

“He replaced Comey with McCabe. That is hardly moving up the draft board. It was only when Chris Wray came in that I think you had a dispassionate, objective, law enforcement centered person. McCabe was no better than Comey,” Gowdy said.

MacCallum asked Gowdy whether he thought that the culture changed at all at the FBI since these snakes were removed from their positions. ”

I hope so, Martha, and I say that because I don’t know,” Gowdy replied. “We’re not going to make it as a country if we don’t have confidence in the FBI… It’s been a terrible four years for the world’s premier law enforcement agency.”

The FBI Swamp Needs to be Drained!

Gowdy is right. If the country doesn’t have confidence in the people who enforce its laws, how can they trust the system to enforce those laws fairly? Americans expect the rule of law to be applied to everyone equally – they don’t want to live in a nation where the deep state can go after its enemies for no reason at all, and let its friends get away with serious crimes scot free.

President Trump was elected to drain the swamp, and if he wants to get re-elected, he has to continue to do so!
