Meghan McCain Unleashes On Biden, Fauci, And Amazon Over Hypocrisy – ‘I Was Lied To’

On Friday’s episode of “The View,” Meghan McCain unloaded on Joe Biden, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and Amazon for their hypocrisy when it comes to the coronavirus pandemic.

McCain Goes Off

McCain kicked off her rant by blasting Fauci for previously telling Americans that masks “didn’t work” in an effort to preserve them for first responders during a time when they were in short supply.

“Look, I think the great horror of living in America right now is the absolute, complete and total breakdown of trust in our institutions,” McCain said, adding that she had been pregnant when Fauci said this and gave her masks away because of him.

“Just say to me, ‘First responders need them more than average American. Please donate them for the good of your heart.’ I would have done the same thing, but I was lied to,” she added.

McCain went on to call out Biden and his family for not wearing masks on federal property immediately after he signed an executive order mandating that masks had to be worn there.

“So again, I think the ‘Rules for thee, but not for me’ that have been going on for a long time in the Trump Administration and now you’re seeing with President Biden, I was really disappointed he wasn’t wearing a mask,” she said.

McCain Doubles Down

Not stopping there, McCain went after Amazon for suddenly volunteering to help with the COVID-19 vaccine rollout after Donald Trump left office.

“That seems political as well,” she said. “So why does Jeff Bezos all of a sudden want to help with vaccine distribution, but he didn’t during the Trump Administration?”

“There is a lot of blame to go around everywhere,” McCain concluded. “Yes, President Trump was integral in spreading false information, but I’m not about to give Dr. Fauci a profile in courage award this morning.”

McCain hits the nail on the head here, as the hypocrisy from the left has been truly staggering on these issues.

Joy Behar Comes Unglued – Says Trump ‘Made It His Business For Four Years To Rape This Country’

Joy Behar has spent the past four years ranting against Donald Trump and his supporters in some of the most vile ways imaginable. Though Thursday was the day after Trump left office, Behar was up to her old tricks again as she had one of her worst rants against him yet, outrageously claiming that he “made it his business for four years to rape this country.”

Behar Comes Unglued

“I worry about my grandchild, you know, I only have one grandchild and one daughter,” Behar said. “There are some people who have no children who don’t worry about the environment as much. I know them. They just say, ‘Well, I’m not going to be here.’ Well, I’m not going to be here either, but my little Luca is going to be here, and I want him to be able to drink the water and breathe the air.”

“Joe Biden has already done a couple of things by going back into the Paris agreement and by canceling the Keystone pipeline. He has other things on his agenda that he is going to do to fix the environment,” Behar continued. “This man, this Trump, he made it his business for four years to rape this country. It’s disgusting, and I’m so happy to have somebody who cares about the children back.”

Behar Attacks Trump Supporters

This is far from the first time these women have shamed Trump and the millions of people who voted for him. Just after the November election, Behar went on the attack against Trump voters, saying that they need to “look in the mirror” and see what they did.

“A lot of people in this country need to have a come-to-Jesus moment and look in the mirror and see what they did,” Behar said. “Again, we don’t call people names but look in the mirror and say, ‘Did I vote because of my pocketbook and did I ignore the fact that children are being separated from their parents?”

“Did I vote because I don’t want Black people moving into the suburbs and ignore the fact that Black people are always behind the eight ball in this country and can’t get a leg up because of my vote?’” she added. “People need to look in the mirror.”

Senate nearing a deal on timing of Trump’s impeachment trial

Sen. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell are nearing a deal to begin an impeachment trial for former President Trump on Feb. 8, as they continue to iron out the final details including the length of a trial and allowing witnesses. This comes amid debates over sharing power in a 50-50 Senate. Dan Bush joins Judy Woodruff to discuss.

Pelosi ‘Not Worried’ About Alienating Trump Supporters With Impeachment – Dropping Trial Is ‘Not How You Unify’

During her weekly press conference on Thursday, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) spoke out to say that she is “not worried” about alienating those who supported Donald Trump by moving forward with his impeachment trial, saying that dropping it would not be “how you unify.”

Pelosi Discusses Impeachment

Pelosi said this after she was asked by a reporter if a Trump impeachment trial would “undercut” President Joe Biden’s call for unity that he made at his inauguration speech the day before.

“No, I’m not worried about that,” Pelosi said. “The fact is the president of the United States committed an act of incitement of insurrection. I don’t think it’s very unifying to say, ‘Oh, let’s just forget it and move on.’”

The House impeached Trump for a second time last week for “incitement of insurrection” in last week’s Capitol riot. Pelosi is set to send the article of impeachment to the Senate for a trial, and she claims that dropping it would be the opposite of unifying.

“That’s not how you unify. Joe Biden said it beautifully. If we’re going to unite, you must remember that we must, we must bring this— look, that’s our responsibility to uphold the integrity of the Congress of the United States,” Pelosi said. “That’s our responsibility, to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. And that is what we will do.”

“Just because he’s now gone — thank God — you don’t say to a president, ‘Do whatever you want in the last months of your administration. You’re gonna get a get-out-of-jail card free,’ because people think we should make nice-nice and forget that people died here on January 6, that the attempt to undermine our election, to undermine our democracy, to dishonor our Constitution— no, I don’t see that at all. I think that would be harmful to unity,” she added.

McCarthy Fires Back

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has said that while Trump “bears responsibility” for the Capitol riots, he does not support impeachment because he feels that it goes against a message of unity.

“I think impeachment was totally wrong. It was purely politically driven. … Now President Trump is a private citizen. Why would you spend your time on this?” McCarthy told Fox News on Thursday. “This is where I think President Joe Biden could have shown the nation he really was uniting. Let’s not do impeachment. Let’s dismiss this. Let’s unite this nation.”

Reports Of Donald Trump’s Political Demise Are Greatly Exaggerated

In 1897, a newspaper in New York printed the obituary for American novelist Mark Twain. The only problem? Twain was in London on a speaking tour and very much alive.

When asked about the printing of the obituary by a reporter, Twain famously quipped, “the reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.”

For the last few weeks, the mainstream media and the Republican establishment have told us repeatedly that Donald Trump’s political career and his influence over the GOP is at an end.

RELATED: President Trump’s Farewell Speech: ‘We Will Be Back’

GOP Establishment, Media Want Trump Gone

Writing in the National Review this week, noted ‘NeverTrumper’ Dan McLaughlin said, “for the first time in five years, it is possible to propose or promote conservative ideas without having to go through or around Donald Trump.”

McLaughlin went on to note:

Trump’s influence will linger to an extent that is yet to be tested, but unless and until he returns to win another presidential nomination, his monopoly over the Republican Party — over its access to power, its communications with voters, its reputation and ideals — is broken.

This is far from the first time that the press has told us that Trump’s political future is at an end. Indeed, this is probably closer to the 100th time they have made this proclamation.

From the very first day he came down the escalator to announce his candidacy, to his attack on John McCain, to the floor fights at the convention, to the Access Hollywood tapes, to the Russia hoax, to the Ukraine hoax, to the first impeachment, and the list goes on and on and on and on.

The cycle of these stories is always the same. Event happens, event gets completely blown out of proportion by the media, establishment Republicans pile on Trump hoping to finally get rid of him, and in the end – Trump ends up just as popular, if not even more popular, with his base.

Trump Supporters Can’t Be Tricked Or Browbeaten

This cycle of “the end of Trump” is no different than the first 99, and the outcome – much to the disappointment of Dan McLaughlin and the rest of the Trump Deranged – will be no different either.

Donald Trump will emerge from this “scandal” with an even stronger and more committed base.

Why? The answer, is actually not that difficult to discern. For Trump supporters, this isn’t about Trump, it’s about them. They rightfully see the attacks on Trump as attacks on them – and with good reason.

Since Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” comment back in 2016 up until today, the left, the mainstream media and the establishment GOP has orchestrated an unprecedented attack on the voters who support Trump.

Instead of focusing on policy differences with Trump, they have instead lobbed attack after attack on the people who elected Trump in the first place.

They have accused Trump supporters of being hillbillies, racists, xenophobes, bigots, and now seditionists.

CNN host Don Lemon recently went as far as to accuse all Trump supporters of being on the side of Nazis and the KKK:

“If you voted for Trump, you voted for the person who the Klan supported. You voted for the person who Nazis support. You voted for the person who the alt-right supports. You voted for the person who incited a crowd to go into the Capitol and potentially take the lives of lawmakers … You voted on that side, and the people in Washington are continuing to vote on that side.”

It’s Not Trump They Hate – It’s YOU

By failing to focus their attacks solely on Trump, but instead choosing to attack his voters as well, every single one of these hyperbolic “scandals” fail to actually do long-term damage to Trump and to his brand.

Indeed, these “scandals” have quite the opposite effect, serving only to deepen and harden Trump’s support among his base.

The reports of Donald Trump’s political demise are greatly exaggerated, and the mainstream media, the left and the establishment of the Republican Party can thank themselves for keeping Trump’s brand and power intact.

Rapper Lil Wayne Sends Thanks To President Trump For Presidential Pardon

On Thursday, rapper Lil Wayne thanked Donald Trump for including him on the list of 100-plus pardons issued as the former president exited the White House this week.

Lil Wayne thanked him for “recognizing that I have so much more to give to my family, my art, and my community.”

Lil Wayne: ‘I Want To Thank President Trump’

The Grammy Award winner and famous Green Bay Packers fan sent a grateful message to President Trump.

“I want to thank President Trump for recognizing that I have so much more to give to my family, my art, and my community. I also want to thank @bradfordcohen for working so diligently to secure another chance for me. Love!”

The rapper signed his message using his full legal name, Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.

Wayne had praised Trump’s “Platinum Plan for Black Americans” during Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign, an effort to revitalize and create job growth for black communities.

In November 2020, the rapper was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon for flying with a firearm and ammunition.

Trump Also Pardoned Rapper Kodak Black

Lil Wayne’s attorney, Howard Srebnick, told the Associated Press at the time, “Carter is charged with possessing a gold-plated handgun in his luggage on a private plane.”

“There is no allegation that he ever fired it, brandished it, used it or threatened to use it,” Srebnick added. “There is no allegation that he is a dangerous person.”

In October, Wayne said that he had a “great meeting” with Trump and praised him for being a Republican who had actually made outreach efforts to black Americans.

Trump also commuted the sentence of Rapper Kodak Black, who remained in federal prison for “making a false statement to buy a firearm.”

Black thanked Trump on Twitter.

“I Want To Thank The President @RealDonaldTrump For His Commitment To Justice Reform And Shortening My Sentence. I Also Want To Thank Everyone For Their Support And Love. It Means More Than You Will Ever Know. I Want To Continue Giving Back, Learning And Growing,” the rapper tweeted.

Liz Cheney Squirms As She Twice Refuses To Say If Senate Should Hold Impeachment Trial For Trump

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) became visibly uncomfortable in an interview on Thursday as she twice refused to say if the Senate should hold an impeachment trial for Donald Trump.

Cheney Refuses To Give Straight Answer On Senate Impeachment

“There’s a Constitutional process that’s underway and you know that is something that the Senate is gonna determine,” Cheney said while appearing on Fox News.

“I think that … again we all need to take a step back and recognize that the fragility of our system, the security, the survival of our republic depends upon making decisions — that have to do with things like the attack that we saw on Jan. 6 — that are separate from the party that can never be partisan … ” she added.

The House voted to impeach Trump for a second time last week, and Cheney was one of ten Republicans who voted in favor of his impeachment, saying that she believes he “lit the flame” of the Capitol riot.

Cheney Dodges Again

Fox News host Bill Hemmer pointed out that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) “still has the article. If she so chose she could probably keep it. Would you support that now?”

“They’re going to have to decide what the next steps are here. Of course the Senate will have to decide how they’re going to run the trial,” Cheney said, adding that former Vice President Mike Pence deserves “tremendous praise and our gratitude for standing firm for his Constitutional oath, for doing what he knew was right.”

The third highest ranking Republican in the House then said that it was time to “come together as a party now to move forward” and that the GOP caucus must focus its energies on “fighting against the kind of policies” now being advanced by President Joe Biden and a Democratic-controlled Congress. Cheney concluded by calling for a “positive agenda of hope and opportunity.”

This comes as calls are growing for Cheney to resign from her leadership position in the House, but she was defiant when she was questioned about this.

“I’m not going anywhere,” she said. “We’re going to have these discussions inside the conference. We have differences of opinion about a whole range of issues including about this one.”
