GOP Rep. Cassidy Declares Trump Won’t Be Republican Nominee In 2024

Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) went on Fox News Radio on Wednesday to respond to Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) being ousted as chairwoman of the House Republican Conference over her opposition to former President Donald Trump.

Cassidy, who voted in favor of impeaching Trump earlier this year, declared in this interview that Trump would not be the 2024 Republican presidential nominee.

Cassidy Sounds Off

“We absolutely feel like we need a Republican Party which is committed to conservative values that will bring it forward,” Cassidy said. “As regards the president … returning to power, he lost. We lost the House. We lost the Senate. We lost the presidency and four years. Hasn’t happened since Herbert Hoover.”

“Parties and elections are about winning,” he added. “So, if you just want to brass tax it, we need to win. We can see that voters in swing districts did not swing for the Republican Party — they swang away. I supported the president’s policies. I was all on board — one of the senators that voted with him the most often — but parties are about winning, and unfortunately, over the last four years, we had a track record of losing. We need to win going forward.”

‘Republicans Are About Winning’

“Republicans are about winning,” he continued. “If we’re going to win, we can’t say, ‘Oh my gosh, we got more votes than anybody else in Republican history,’ but 7 million left to the Democrat. You know, that 7 million is the difference between Biden’s policies and our policies. We’ve got to be 7 million ahead, not 7 million behind.”

When asked if he would vote for Trump if he is the nominee, Cassidy responded, “He’s not going to be our nominee.”

Cheney slammed former President Donald Trump both before and after the vote to oust her.

“We must be true to our principles and to the Constitution,” Cheney told fellow House Republicans before the closed-door vote, according to the Today Show. “We cannot let the former president drag us backward and make us complicit in his efforts to unravel our democracy. Down that path lies our destruction and potentially the destruction of our country.”

After the vote, she added that if Trump decides to run again in 2024, “I will do everything I can to ensure that the former president never again gets anywhere near the Oval Office.”

Report: Mitch McConnell Wants A Truce With Donald Trump

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, according to a report in The Hill, is seeking to bury “his running feud with President Trump.”

In a discussion with reporters, McConnell (R-KY) expressed no interest in addressing fiery comments by the former President and instead is seeking to unify the Republican Party.

“What I’m concentrating on is the future and what we are confronted with here is a totally left-wing administration, with a slight majority in the House, a 50-50 Senate trying to transform America into something no one voted for last year,” he said.

Senate Minority Whip John Thune (R-SSD), McConnell’s top deputy, also refused to address Trump’s comments.

“Right now, it’s sort of a one-sided thing. The leader has no animosity and he’s made it very clear he wants to work with the president to get the majority back,” said Thune.

McConnell’s Feud With Trump Began With McConnell

McConnell’s neutral stance is a far cry from early January when he was blaming Trump for the Capitol riots and expressing support for impeachment, comments which kicked the feud into high gear.

McConnell, according to a Fox News report at the time, “told associates that impeachment will help rid the Republican Party of Trump and his movement.”

Trump ravaged the GOP leader for echoing Democrat comments about the riot, issuing a statement saying McConnell is “a dour, sullen and unsmiling political hack.”

“The Republican Party can never again be respected or strong with political ‘leaders’ like Sen. Mitch McConnell at its helm,” he added.

Trump slammed McConnell again during a speech at Mar-a-Lago this past weekend, describing him as a “dumb son of a bitch” and a “stone-cold loser.”

McConnell and Thune, though, weren’t taking the bait.

Is The Establishment Coming Around?

Is McConnell’s efforts to bury the feud between him and Trump a sign of an America First unity tour heading into the 2022 and 2024 elections?

Another member of the establishment wing of the GOP, Nikki Haley, seems to have done an about-face on her criticism of Donald Trump.

After originally saying Trump can’t run for federal office ever again because he’d “fallen so far,” Haley hinted she would support him by bowing out in 2024 if he decides to run.

“I would not run if President Trump ran, and I would talk to him about it,” Haley told reporters.

McConnell, since his comments in January, has indicated he would “absolutely” back Trump in 2024 should he win the Republican Party nomination.

poll almost immediately after the Capitol riot from Axios-Ipsos showed Republican voters overwhelmingly “siding with President Trump over Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell — big time.”

Perhaps the polls are the true reason Haley and McConnell want to end their feud with Trump.

Trump Calls CNN Report About Denied Gaetz Meeting Fake News, Advises Them To Focus On Eric Swalwell

Donald Trump fired back at CNN over a report claiming Congressman Matt Gaetz asked for and was denied a meeting with the former President as he is currently engrossed in sexual misconduct allegations.

CNN anonymously cited “two people familiar with the matter” in their report indicating “Gaetz tried to schedule a visit with Trump after it was first revealed that he was being investigated.”

Trump fired back, labeling CNN “fake news” while claiming the report was “false.”

“Fake News CNN, relying on all anonymous sources, meaning they probably made the whole thing up, wrote a very dishonest story claiming Congressman Matt Gaetz asked for a meeting with me at Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Florida, and was denied,” he said in a statement.

“This is completely false.”

Trump Advises CNN To Check Into Swalwell Instead Of Gaetz

The former President went on to suggest that CNN should consider covering the Eric Swalwell scandal involving his reported association with a Chinese spy.

A bombshell Axios report in December indicated that a woman by the name of Christine Fang (aka Fang Fang) “took part in fundraising activity for Rep. Swalwell’s 2014 re-election campaign” and interacted with the Congressman “at multiple events over the course of several years.”

Fang had allegedly served as a Chinese Intelligence operative with China’s Ministry of State Security.

“Why doesn’t CNN investigate and write about lightweight Democrat Congressman Eric Swalwell, who had a torrid and physical relationship with the Chinese spy Fang-Fang, but is somehow on the once-prestigious House Intelligence Committee,” Trump wondered.

Not only was he never asked to step down by his Democrat colleagues, but Swalwell was actually promoted as a House Impeachment Manager during the Senate trial against Trump.

According to Axios, Swalwell was notified by federal investigators about Fang in 2015, and has not been accused of any wrongdoing.

Trump’s Fired Up

Trump couldn’t resist taking a jab at Swalwell by citing his “record-setting 0% in the polls” when he dropped out of the presidential race in 2020.

“[Swalwell] has been compromised and is a national security threat to the United States,” Trump added. “He should be removed from the Committee immediately!”

Gaetz also denied he requested a meeting with Trump.

He called the CNN report “a total lie” and added, “no such meeting was denied nor sought.”

Swalwell in March filed a lawsuit against Trump for his alleged role in the Capitol riot on January 6th.

Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin Announces Gubernatorial Campaign To ‘Save New York’ From Andrew Cuomo

Republican Representative Lee Zeldin announced he is running for governor of New York, saying Andrew Cuomo must be ousted in order to “save our state.”

“I’m running for governor of New York in 2022,” Zeldin declared in an interview with ‘Fox & Friends.’ “We are going to win this race.”

In an accompanying statement, Zeldin vowed to “bring the kind of relentless, fighting spirit towards helping to save our state that Andrew Cuomo only reserves for multi-million dollar self-congratulatory book deals, cover-ups, abuse and self-dealing.”

And while he pointed out Cuomo’s “long line of scandals,” the Republican focused on what he has to offer the Empire State, including beating back the impacts of poor “tax policy,” “public safety,” and “attacks on our freedoms.”

Zeldin went on to suggest the current woes in New York are due to one-party Democrat rule in New York City and Albany.

RELATED: Cuomo Now Being Investigated Over $4 Million Book Deal Celebrating His Pandemic Leadership

Lee Zeldin Wants To Save New York From Cuomo

Governor Andrew Cuomo has become vulnerable of late, currently plagued by several scandals including:

  • Forcing nursing homes to take on COVID-positive patients.
  • Obstructing justice by hiding the data on those deaths and stripping numbers from DOH reports.
  • Numerous sexual misconduct allegations including a police report involving forcibly groping an aide.
  • Bullying and threatening fellow lawmakers and members of the media.
  • Under investigation for a $4 million book deal profiting off the pandemic by having aides write and edit portions using state resources.

“Cuomo has abused the power and trust granted to him and it is time for him to immediately exit stage left,” Lee Zeldin said.

He has actively called for Cuomo’s impeachment in the face of resistance to resigning over his many scandals.

But he smartly notes that it isn’t just the details of these salacious accusations that are the problem – it’s Cuomo’s inability to competently run the state.

“The New York that was once a magnet for the world’s best and brightest is now forcing its own to leave under the crushing weight of skyrocketing taxes, lost jobs, suffocating regulations, and rising crime resulting from dangerously liberal policies,” Zeldin accused.

“At the helm of New York’s downfall is Governor Andrew Cuomo.”

Cuomo’s Budget Includes Aid To Illegal Immigrants

Speaking of skyrocketing taxes and incentives to leave the state, the New York Times on Tuesday reported that Governor Cuomo and the New York legislature had reached an agreement on a $212 billion budget.

The budget includes “tax increases” on the wealthy – or job creators – as well as “a $2.1 billion fund to provide one-time payments for undocumented workers who did not qualify for federal stimulus checks or unemployment benefits.”

New York Republican Committee Chairman Nick Langworthy released a statement blasting the budget proposal while indicating the only thing that can save New York is a new governor.

“The only thing this budget accomplishes is the accelerated decline of our state,” Langworthy said. “It’s a $212 billion dollar tax-and-spend boondoggle that will push New York’s mass exodus to the point of no return.”

“This budget makes clear that the only way to save New York is to elect a Republican governor who will stand up to this madness and return common sense to state government,” he added.

Will Lee Zeldin be the man to do that?

Biden Says Cuomo Should Resign, Could Face Prosecution – Only If Sexual Harassment Allegations Are True

President Biden believes an investigation into sexual harassment claims against Andrew Cuomo needs to play out, but if the allegations are proven true, the New York Governor should resign.

Biden’s comments, made during an interview with ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos Tuesday night, are another sign that the President is playing it safe with an ally he once reportedly considered for Attorney General.

“I know you said you want the investigation to continue,” Stephanopoulos said to Biden. “If the investigation confirms the claims of the women, should he resign?”

“Yes,” Biden replied. “I think he’ll probably end up being prosecuted, too.”

Biden: Cuomo Should Resign If Women’s Allegations Are True

Of the scandals currently plaguing Cuomo, the sexual harassment claims, while nauseating, are more sensational but not quite as serious as the scandals involving nursing home deaths, obstructing justice revolving around the nursing home deaths, and threatening lawmakers.

That said, whatever happened to ‘believe all women?’

Now suddenly it’s ‘believe all women as long as a thorough investigation proves they’re not lying.’

Despite near-universal calls for Cuomo’s resignation from Democrats and Republicans, President Biden continues to play it safe.

“A woman should be presumed to be telling the truth and should not be scapegoated and become victimized by her coming forward,” the President said. “There should be an investigation to determine whether what she says is true.”

Democrat New York Attorney General Letitia James is conducting an independent investigation into the numerous sexual harassment claims, one of which involves groping a female aide.

The Albany Times Union reported that Cuomo “aggressively groped” the woman “in a sexually charged manner” after summoning her to the Executive Chamber.

The incident allegedly involved the Democrat governor “reach(ing) under her blouse” and fondling her.

An incident with potential criminal activity has since been reported to Albany police by the New York State Executive Chamber.

A reporter this past weekend became the seventh woman to accuse Cuomo of inappropriate touching saying, “Andrew Cuomo’s hands had been on my body … often enough by late 2014 that I didn’t want to go to the holiday party he was hosting for the Albany press corps.”

Media Lets Biden Slide

Stephanopoulos, often hailed as an exemplary member of the media, failed to follow up with Biden on two obvious transitions.

One, the more severe transgression involving the nursing home scandal, in which Cuomo’s executive order last March forced senior living facilities to take on COVID-positive patients, resulting in thousands of deaths, plus the subsequent cover-up that his administration confessed to.

And two, the more obvious transition, questioning Biden about his own numerous allegations of inappropriate touching.

No, Tara Reade’s sexual assault allegations against President Biden never dawned on Stephanopoulus.

Reade made an allegation of sexual assault against Biden during a podcast back last March after alluding to harassment in his office in the past.

“His hands were on me and underneath my clothes,” she alleged, claiming that when the assault was over Biden said, “C’mon man, I heard you liked me.”

Biden has repeatedly denied Reade’s story is true, saying her “claim has changed” and that “the truth of the case is nothing like this ever, ever happened.”

Perhaps that is why Biden can’t commit to calling on Cuomo to resign based on these women’s stories.

Cuomo Defiant As Top Democrats Call On Him To Resign: You’ll Have To Impeach Me

Andrew Cuomo remained defiant as top Democrat lawmakers in the state joined calls for him to resign, reportedly telling one they’ll have to impeach the New York governor for him to leave the office.

Cuomo, once the darling of the mainstream media for his handling of the pandemic, finds himself embroiled in scandals on numerous fronts.

The governor issued an executive order in March forcing nursing homes to take on patients that had tested positive for coronavirus, then according to his own top aide, engaged in a cover-up.

Last week, the Wall Street Journal published a report indicating advisers to Cuomo “successfully pushed state health officials to strip a public report of data showing that more nursing-home residents had died of Covid-19 than the administration had acknowledged.”

Making matters worse, the governor has been accused by five separate women of sexually harassing them.

Top Democrats Call on Cuomo to Resign

While the nursing home scandal is far and away the more shocking issue plaguing Governor Cuomo’s administration right now, the sexual harassment claims are causing Democrat lawmakers to take notice.

New York State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie and Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins called on Cuomo to resign Sunday.

“We need to govern without daily distractions. For the good of the state, Governor Cuomo must resign,” Stewart-Cousins – a Democrat – said in a statement.

Heastie – also a Democrat – issued his own statement saying, “I too share the sentiment of Senate Majority Leader Stewart-Cousins regarding the Governor’s ability to continue to lead this state.”

The pair join Democratic State Assemblyman Ron Kim who called on Cuomo to “do the right thing and resign.”

Kim’s target was the nursing home scandal and cover-up, in which he accused the governor of threatening to ruin his career if he didn’t help run cover for Cuomo in the media.

Kim would later call the activity outlined in the Wall Street Journal article “criminal.”

Cuomo: You’re Going to Have to Impeach Me

Fox News reports that, as of Sunday, “a total of 37 lawmakers from either the Assembly or state Senate want [Cuomo] to resign, and 10 have called for impeachment.”

But Cuomo would have none of it, suggesting being forced to resign based only on allegations would be “anti-Democratic.”

“There is no way I resign,” Cuomo told reporters.

“They don’t override the people’s will, they don’t get to override elections,” he said of the lawmakers calling for him to step down. “I was elected by the people of New York state. I wasn’t elected by politicians.”

Cuomo would later dismiss “the premise of resigning because of allegations [as] actually anti-democratic.”

His statement completely neglects the fact that he’s been caught issuing an executive order that led to the deaths of thousands of seniors, then engaged in what state Assemblyman Mike Lawler (R) described as a “criminal conspiracy” to hide the numbers from the DOJ.

Cuomo was so defiant, the Associated Press details a phone conversation he had with Stewart-Cousins practically daring lawmakers to impeach him.

“In a brief phone conversation Sunday prior to the press conference,” they write, “Cuomo told Stewart-Cousins he wouldn’t quit and they would have to impeach him if they wanted him out of office.”

An Assembly Republican-led commission to impeach Cuomo was established in February.

To impeach the sitting governor of New York, the Assembly would need a majority vote in the 150-member body, and the state Senate would need a two-thirds majority of court members to convict.

Walls Closing In? Cuomo Administration Under Investigation Nursing Home Cover-Up

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is under investigation by the FBI and a United States attorney in Brooklyn for his administration’s possible cover-up of a COVID-related nursing home scandal.

The Times Union in Albany is reporting that an investigation has been launched “examining, at least in part, the actions of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s coronavirus task force in its handling of nursing homes and other long-term care facilities during the pandemic.”

The newspaper notes that there have been no allegations of wrongdoing and that the investigation “is in its early stages.”

Focus appears to be on Governor Cuomo’s coronavirus task force whose more prominent members include New York State Health Commissioner Howard Zucker and Secretary to the Governor Melissa DeRosa.

DeRosa has been the subject of much consternation after she admitted in a conference call that the administration hid information on COVID nursing home deaths from federal investigators.

RELATED: Cuomo Threatens Democrat State Legislators Over COVID Nursing Home Scandal

Cuomo Under Investigation For Nursing Home Scandal

The New York Times reported that attorney general Letitia James, a Democrat, accused Cuomo and his administration, particularly officials at the State Health Department, of undercounting COVID deaths at nursing homes by as much as 50%.

The New York Post followed that up with a revelation that DeRosa told leading Democrats in a conference call that they did so because the administration feared the data could “be used against us” by the Justice Department saying, “basically, we froze.”

“We were in a position where we weren’t sure if what we were going to give to the Department of Justice, or what we give to you guys, what we start saying, was going to be used against us while we weren’t sure if there was going to be an investigation,” DeRosa added.

State officials had originally given a figure of about 8,677, and media frequently reported around 6,000 because that was all that could be confirmed based on the scant data already released.

WWNY News reports that the number was actually well over 15,000 seniors who died in nursing homes.

Why the cover-up? Most likely because there was a direct link between those deaths and the actions of the Governor.

Cuomo famously issued an executive order in March forcing nursing homes to take on patients that had tested positive for coronavirus.

RELATED: NY Democrats Accuse Cuomo Of Lying As He Tries To Defend Handling Of Nursing Home Scandal

The Cover-up Continues

Multiple New York state Democrats – that’s Democrats – have accused the administration of criminal conduct in the nursing home scandal cover-up.

Fox News reports that nine Democratic New York State Assembly members signed a letter accusing Cuomo of obstruction of justice.

“We implore you to set aside any concerns of loyalty or disloyalty to this Governor, or that this matter is politicized,” the letter from earlier this week reads.

“We must absolutely consider above all the sanctity of the democratic institution that we call the Legislature of the State of New York, and resolutely pursue justice in the face of an executive who we can say without hesitation has engaged in intentional criminal wrongdoing.”

The obstruction continues though, unabated.

Rich Azzopardi, a spokesman for the governor, told the Times Union, “We have been cooperating with them (the DOJ) and we will continue to.”

The Associated Press, however, reports that officials with knowledge of the DOJ investigation “said the Cuomo administration had not been cooperative with prosecutors … and for months had not produced documents and other data the Justice Department had requested.”

And when obstruction doesn’t seem to be working, Team Cuomo shifts to intimidation.

The governor has been accused of threatening political retaliation against several New York state lawmakers who have criticized him for his handling of the nursing home scandal.

State Assemblyman Ron Kim claims that Cuomo called him and tried to talk Kim into issuing a statement covering for DeRosa. And when that didn’t work, he vowed to ruin Kim’s career.

Kim reported that the Democrat governor stated “we’re in this business together and we don’t cross certain lines,” adding that he “hadn’t seen his wrath” and that “I can destroy you.”

Fox News meteorologist Janice Dean, one of the few voices to continually hound Governor Cuomo over the nursing home scandal for months on end, said “people should go to jail” over the cover-up.

Dean used Cuomo’s own words about former President Donald Trump and turned them around on the Democrat.

Dean’s in-laws were victims of COVID-19, where nursing homes in New York played a part.

She has, at times, described Cuomo as a “criminal.”

While an investigation by the FBI and a U.S. attorney, along with fellow Democrats piling on seems to indicate the walls are closing in on Cuomo, we wouldn’t hold our breath just yet.

This is the same FBI whose highest-ranking officials tried to destroy the country by subverting the will of the people when they dared elect Trump to office in 2016.

The same FBI that failed to prosecute Hillary Clinton for a crime many people have been thrown in jail for.

Will their ongoing left-leaning agenda interfere in another investigation?

Poll: The Republican Party is More Marjorie Taylor Greene Than It Is Liz Cheney

A new Quinnipiac University poll out Wednesday shows Americans think Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA) more exemplifies the Republican Party than Rep. Liz Cheney (WY).

The poll is almost certainly meant to convey just how far adrift the Republican party has become in the eyes of the media but in reality, it is more emblematic of how difficult it is going to be for the GOP to separate themselves from supporters of former President Trump.

Alienating Trump means alienating your conservative base.

And that base wants fighters regardless of their past controversial comments – which Greene has apologized for – not people who bow down to the Democrats and the mainstream media at the first sign of a manufactured crisis – which Cheney has not apologized for.

The Quinnipiac survey shows 28 percent of Americans believe Greene represents the GOP, while 25 percent said the same for Cheney.

Of note, 47 percent did not offer an opinion, meaning there is still time for either faction of the party to claim the mantle in the Republican civil war.

RELATED: Polls: Majority Of Republicans Want Trump In 2024, Prefer He Play Big Role In GOP’s Future

Is Marjorie Taylor Greene or Liz Cheney the Future of the Republican Party?

Both Marjorie Taylor Greene and Liz Cheney have been making headlines of late, each for how they have acted as representatives of the Republican party.

Greene (R-GA) came under fire after it was discovered she “liked” controversial comments on social media, including one that said “a bullet to the head would be quicker” in a discussion to remove House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

She has also dabbled in QAnon conspiracy theories.

As such, she was stripped of her committee assignments by the Democrat-led House and referred to as a “cancer” to the GOP by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

“The real cancer for the Republican Party is weak Republicans who only know how to lose gracefully,” Greene would fire back. “This is why we are losing our country.”

Cheney meanwhile made noise by becoming the lead Republican of 10 in the House who joined Democrats in the impeachment charade of Donald Trump.

She also claims there is a “massive criminal investigation underway” to determine if former President Trump is guilty of inciting “premeditated” violence on the Capitol.

Cheney has since been censured by the Wyoming Republican Party for her actions and is facing a primary challenge from state Senator Anthony Bouchard in 2022.

RELATED: Nearly Every Senator Who Voted To Convict Trump Faces Censure Or Has Been Censured

For Now, This is Still Trump’s Party

Marjorie Taylor Greene symbolizing the Republican party is just another sign that Donald Trump still has a boot on the neck of the GOP establishment.

Greene is a staunch defender of the former President, and Trump, who recently met with her prior to the committee vote, and has called her a “future Republican Star.”

America First still resonates with conservatives. Who would have imagined?

Other polls have shown that kind of backing from Trump will make waves in the party going forward.

Despite some GOP lawmakers doing their best to distance themselves from former President Donald Trump, a vast majority of Republican voters want to see him play a big role in the future of the party, including running again in 2024.

In fact, 53 percent want to see him run again during the next presidential cycle, far outpacing his second closest challenger in former Vice President Mike Pence at 12 percent.

A Rasmussen survey in late December indicated 72 percent of Republican voters want their legislators to be more like Trump and less like the RINOs that currently litter the GOP landscape.

Another poll from Axios-Ipsos shows GOP voters lining up behind Trump against the establishment as we barrel towards 2024.

Anti-Trump Republicans are trying to distance themselves from people like Trump and Greene, aligning themselves with Cheney and McConnell, and even contemplating the formation of their own party.

They do so at their own political peril.

Meghan McCain Says The ‘Only Way To Become A Good Republican Is To Become A Democrat,’ According To The Media

On Tuesday’s episode of “The View,” Meghan McCain lashed out at the media, saying that according to them, “the only way to become a good Republican is to become a Democrat.”

Sunny Hostin Rants Against Republicans

McCain said this in frustration after her cohost Sunny Hostin went on yet another outrageous rant against Republicans.

“This is the Republican party today,” Hostin said. “It’s the MAGA party. It’s the QAnon party. It’s the Confederate flag, statue-loving party. It’s the Trump party. That’s the party of today.”

“Those who refuse to be that type of party get censured, get nasty letters from their families, get ostracized,” she added. “That’s what our country is looking at today, the party of white supremacy, the party that carries swastikas into the Capitol.”

That’s when McCain went off.

McCain Fires Back

“It’s easy to say that the Republican Party is only the party of QAnon and all these things,” McCain said. “If that’s the truth, the Democratic Party is the party of socialism and cancel culture and no responsibility and ramifications for any of your actions. You can burn down cities like Kenosha, and it’s fine. These are broad-stroke platitudes.”

“As much as the Left wants to act like Republicans are only QAnon supporters, part of the problem is when I hear that, I automatically get very tribal and say I don’t want the left,” she added.

Related: Meghan McCain Attacks Nikki Haley For Asking For Trump To Be Given A ‘Break’

“To me, I’m the most intensively pro-life person that I know of, particularly on mainstream TV,” McCain added. “I believe that abortion is murder. I know that the opposite party says there are some people that don’t agree with me, think that abortion should happen up to late-term.”

McCain Doubles Down

“I think the idea that the Republican Party is just one swath it’s just not nuanced,” McCain concluded. “The problem I have is the only way to become a good Republican is to become a Democrat, according to the media. I don’t know what to do anymore.”

McCain is a Republican who was against Donald Trump during his presidency. She regularly clashes with her cohosts, however, as they are all liberals who are against many of her conservative values.

Dem Congressman Files Lawsuit Against Trump For His Alleged Role In Capitol Riot

Representative Bennie Thompson, the Democratic chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, filed a federal lawsuit against former President Donald Trump for his alleged role in inciting a riot at the Capitol on January 6th.

The Mississippi lawmaker claims Trump conspired with attorney Rudy Giuliani and extremist groups to stop Congress from certifying President Biden’s Electoral College win, which in turn led to violence.

The suit accuses Trump of violating the 1871 Ku Klux Klan Act which was passed in an effort to address the KKK and prohibits violence or intimidation meant to prevent members of Congress or other federal officials from carrying out their constitutional duties.

“January 6th was one of the most shameful days in our country’s history, and it was instigated by the president himself,” Thompson said in a statement.

“His gleeful support of violent white supremacists led to a breach of the Capitol that put my life, and that of my colleagues, in grave danger. It is by the slimmest of luck that the outcome was not deadlier.”

RELATED: Pelosi Wants ‘9/11-Type Commission’ To Investigate Capitol Riot

Trump Adviser Denies Allegations in Capitol Riot Lawsuit

The Associated Press reports that Thompson’s lawsuit is the first “of an expected wave of litigation over the Jan. 6 riot.”

A clear indication that, while Donald Trump is no longer in office, the Democrat party has no intention of working to make the lives of the American people better, and will continue to instead focus on the former President.

Jason Miller, a Trump adviser, dismissed the allegations being made in the lawsuit, pointing out that Trump had no role in organizing the rally.

He “did not incite or conspire to incite any violence at the Capitol on Jan. 6th,” Miller succinctly explained.

“President Trump has been acquitted in the Democrats’ latest impeachment witch hunt, and the facts are irrefutable,” Miller added.

RELATED: Lindsey Graham Says Mitch McConnell’s Anti-Trump Speech May Come Back To Bite Republicans

No Basis in Reality

Rep. Bennie Thompson’s lawsuit against Trump regarding the Capitol riot has little basis in reality, as there has been absolutely no proof that the rally and march in early January were inspired or motivated by white supremacy.

The problem is that Democrats link all Trump supporters to white supremacy and thus, in their minds, it must have been the motivating factor.

It simply couldn’t have had anything to do with opposing the electoral votes.

This, incidentally, is something Democrats have done over and over again both in 2017 and 2005.

Where were the lawsuits then against Democrats? Weren’t they, by this standard, clearly trying to prevent members of Congress from carrying out their constitutional duties and disenfranchising black supporters of Donald Trump and George W. Bush?

Meanwhile, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is doing her part to continue harassing Trump, announcing she plans to create an “outside, independent 9/11-type Commission” to investigate the Capitol riot.

These actions were practically inspired by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who in a post-impeachment tirade, suggested the former president “didn’t get away with anything, yet.”

“We have a criminal justice system in this country. We have civil litigation,” McConnell said.
