Trump Responds To Romney Having To Self-Quarantine: ‘Gee, That’s Too Bad’

President Trump couldn’t resist taking a jab at Mitt Romney after hearing the news that Utah’s Senator would have to self-quarantine.

Romney announced that he would have to take the responsible action upon learning that Senator Rand Paul had become the first of his colleagues to test positive for coronavirus.

He had been in close proximity to Paul recently.

“Since Senator Romney sat next to Senator Paul for extended periods in recent days and consistent with CDC guidance, the attending physician has ordered him to immediately self-quarantine and not to vote on the Senate floor,” Romney’s office said in a statement.

Trump’s Response

President Trump learned of Romney’s self-quarantine through a White House reporter who noted four senators in total had moved to isolate.

“Romney, Senator Lee, Senator Gardner and Senator Rick Scott, also,” the reporter conveyed. “Two of them were in contact …”

“Romney is in isolation?” Trump interrupted. “Gee, that’s too bad. Go ahead.”

Media Will Blow It Out of Proportion

The reporter responded to Trump’s comment asking, “Do I detect sarcasm there, sir?”

“No, none whatsoever,” Trump replied.

While the media would like you to think that Trump’s alleged sarcasm is downplaying the seriousness of the virus, he isn’t.

He’s referring to the precautionary measures numerous Americans have taken when in proximity to somebody who has been exposed to coronavirus.

There is no indication Romney is suffering from any symptoms. In fact, his statement adds that “he has no symptoms.”

Romney Criticized Trump

Late last month, Romney took a jab at President Trump claiming he was unprepared for the coronavirus crisis.

“I’m very disappointed in the degree to which we’ve prepared for a pandemic, both in terms of protective equipment and in terms of medical devices that would help people once they are infected,” Romney criticized.

In reality, the President was already taking action in trying to quell the spread of the virus.

He took those steps despite a looming impeachment trial.

Perhaps if Romney hadn’t joined his Democrat buddies in becoming the only Republican senator to break party lines and vote in favor of Trump being impeached, he could have focused his efforts on advising the President or working with the administration to solve this problem.

Mitt Romney Indicates He’ll Vote With Dems to Protect Hunter Biden From Subpoena

The Washington Post reports that Senator Mitt Romney is poised to join Democrats and vote to squash a subpoena related to Hunter Biden’s work with the Ukrainian energy company, Burisma Holdings.

Biden has been accused of leveraging his father Joe Biden’s status as vice president to get a role on the board of Burisma, while the company used that relationship to garner access to the State Department.

The Senate Homeland Security Committee has scheduled a vote next week to issue a subpoena related to the matter. Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) told Fox News that “Joe Biden has never adequately answered these questions,” explaining Republican motivation behind the investigation.

Biden forced out a Ukrainian prosecutor who had been investigating Burisma

“I’ve said repeatedly, if there’s wrongdoing the American people need to understand that. If there is no wrongdoing, or if it’s not significant, the American people need to understand that,” Johnson added.

Enter Mitt Romney to save another corrupt (allegedly) Democrat …

Romney Indicates He’ll Side With Dems

Romney told the Post that the Republican pursuit of Biden – the lead candidate for the Democrat nomination to the presidency – and his son’s dealings with Burisma, seem political in nature.

“I would prefer that investigations are done by an independent, non-political body,” he claimed. “There’s no question the appearance is not good.”

Romney went on to tell reporters that the investigation “appears political.”

“I think people are tired of these kinds of political investigations.”

In other words, the mighty and righteous Romney is willing to take a stand against pursuits he feels are politically motivated. You know, except for that whole partisan impeachment hack job with which he also chose to team with Democrats.

If party lines hold, Romney’s vote with Democrats would create a 7-7 tie in committee, preventing the subpoena from being issued.

Romney’s Disgrace

Is it any wonder the Utah senator lost an easily winnable election against Barack Obama in 2012? In hindsight, how could Obama have possibly failed when he was essentially running against his clone?

Romney, as you well know, was the only Republican to betray the nation and vote with Democrats in their clearly politically motivated impeachment scam.

“The President is guilty of an appalling abuse of public trust,” Romney melodramatically claimed at the time, despite his Democrat colleagues in the House failing to prove Trump was guilty of anything.

Funny though, when it benefitted his career, the one-time actual Republican was more than willing to accept Trump’s endorsement for President in 2012 and for Senate in 2018.

Now he goes well out of his way to stab him in the back.

Romney is a snake. The only difference being, snakes are adept at sneaking up on their prey. You can see Romney’s betrayals coming a mile away.

John Bolton Speaks Out, Blasts Democrats’ Impeachment Of Trump As ‘Grossly Partisan’

Former National Security Adviser John Bolton finally spoke out this week, slamming Democrats for their “grossly partisan” impeachment effort against President Donald Trump.

During a public appearance alongside Susan Rice, who had his same role in Barack Obama’s White House, Bolton said that his own testimony would not have changed the entire outcome of the Senate impeachment trial, according to the Associated Press. Despite what Democrats who wanted him to testify said, Bolton does not believe his testimony would have made a difference in the final impeachment vote.

“People can argue about what I should have said and what I should have done,” Bolton said. “I would bet you a dollar right here and now, my testimony would have made no difference to the ultimate outcome.”

He also said that the way Democrats handled the impeachment trial “drove Republicans who might have voted for impeachment away because it was so partisan.”

MORE NEWS: Disturbing new report reveals FBI had multiple informants in Trump’s presidential campaign

Rice disagreed with him, saying that nothing could have led her “to refuse to share information with Congress or the public that I thought was of national import.

“I can’t imagine withholding my testimony, with or without a subpoena,” she said. “I also can’t imagine, frankly, in the absence of being able to provide that information directly to Congress, not having exercised my First Amendment right to speak publicly at a time when my testimony or my experience would be relevant.”

Bolton, however, stood his ground, saying that the reason he didn’t “spill his guts” about Trump’s business dealings with Ukraine was that doing so would have led to him being prosecuted criminally. When asked if he would have complied with a subpoena from the White House, Bolton brought up the White House review process that is determining whether the contents of his upcoming book about working in the Trump administration can be disclosed.

“I’m not here to speculate on that with the pre-publication review process under way,” Bolton said as the audience laughed. “Laugh all you want. This is the judgment of my counsel, somebody I worked with 35 years ago, 30 years ago at the Department of Justice.”

Bolton is correct that his testimony would not have changed anything because it was clear from the get-go that the Senate would be voting along party lines. The only senator to break from his party was Mitt Romney (R-UT) who had his own personal vendetta against Trump. No other senators were swayed by the Democrats’ nonsense, as they saw right through their partisan effort. Nothing Bolton could say or not say would have had any impact on this.

Nancy Pelosi Questions Whether Trump Is A Person Of Faith

By PoliZette Staff | February 17, 2020

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) hit a new low in her anti-Trump behavior this weekend when she questioned the president’s Christian faith.

During an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, Pelosi seemed to suggest that Donald Trump is not actually a man of faith, saying that if he was a real Christian, he would know that people of faith like her pray “even for him.”

After alleging that GOP senators did not have the “courage” to vote guilty on impeachment, Pelosi said, “Except for Mitt Romney. God bless him. And then the president criticized him for using his faith.”

“Look I don’t know if the president is a person of faith. It’s not for me to make that judgment,” Pelosi continued.

“He criticized you about saying you prayed for him as well,” Amanpour countered.

MORE NEWS: Challenger DeAnna Lorraine charging hard against Nancy Pelosi

“He said I didn’t pray for him,” Pelosi said. “I thought if he was a person of faith he would recognize other people of faith. And if he prayed he would recognize that other people do, even for him.”

This comes as Trump and Pelosi have been trading barbs over one another’s faith in recent weeks.

“I don’t like people who use their faith as justification for doing what they know is wrong,” Trump said at the National Prayer Breakfast earlier this month, referring to Romney’s vote to impeach him. “Nor do I like people who say, ‘I pray for you,’ when they know that that’s not so.”

Pelosi has frequently said that she is praying for Trump, and in response to his comments, she accused him of being irreligious.

“I pray hard for him, because he’s so off the track of our Constitution, our values, our country,” she said, calling the presidency a “heavy responsibility.”

“I thought what he said about — what he said about Senator Romney was particularly without class,” Pelosi continued, according to The Washington Examiner. “He’s talking about things that he knows little about: faith and prayer.”

Regardless of Pelosi’s personal feelings on Trump, there is no excuse for her questioning his faith. This is just another example of a powerful Democrat crossing the line when it comes to attack on Trump.

Shame on you, Nancy Pelosi.

Mitt Romney Hit With New Republican Resolution That Would Force Him To Support Trump Or Give Up His Seat

By PoliZette Staff | February 11, 2020

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) betrayed the entire Republican Party when he voted to impeach Donald Trump in the Senate impeachment trial. Now, this has come back to bite him in a big way, as the GOP in his home state has drawn up a resolution that will force him to either support Trump or step down.

The resolution, which was submitted by Utah GOP State Central Committee member Brandon Beckham, will be considered at the Republican Party state central committee meeting on February 29, according to The Blaze.

The motion expresses the Utah GOP’s “severe disapproval” for Romney’s impeachment vote.

“A lot of us feel that it’s sort of an embarrassment to our party,” Beckham told the Salt Lake Tribune. He went on to explain that Republicans in the state had already passed a resolution in which they expressed full support of the president and called on members of the GOP to defend him. Despite knowing this, Romney voted to convict President Trump anyway.

Though Romney has yet to comment on the resolution, he has admitted that he will face consequences for his vote.

“No question the consequence will be enormous,” Romney said. “The consequence of violating my conscience and my oath of office to God would be even greater.”

MORE NEWS: Biden stuns New Hampshire voter by calling her a ‘lying, dog-faced pony soldier’

Romney may claim he voted his conscience, but many conservatives are not buying it. Rick Gorka, who was a spokesman for Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign, tweeted that the senator’s vote was motivated by “bitterness” and “jealousy.”

As a representative of the people of Utah, Romney knew full well that the majority of his constituents wanted to see Trump remain in office, yet he switched sides and went with Democrats anyway. Clearly, his own vendettas against the president are more important to him than adequately representing the people of Utah, who deserve better than this.

We can only hope that this resolution is approved, and that Romney has to face the music for his turncoat vote.

Ex-Clinton Impeachment Manager Reveals Real Reason Mitt Romney Voted To Convict Trump

By PoliZette Staff | February 8, 2020

Bob Barr, who was the impeachment manager for former President Bill Clinton’s impeachment trial, just sat down with The Daily Caller to discuss the failed impeachment effort from the left against Donald Trump.

During the interview, Barr gave his thoughts on Senator Mitt Romney’s (R-UT.) vote to convict Trump of impeachable offenses in the impeachment trial. Romney was the only Republican to break party lines in voting to convict Trump. Barr quickly made it clear that he had no respect for Romney’s vote, saying that it was all about the senator’s own ego.

MORE NEWS: Disturbing new report reveals FBI had multiple informants in Trump’s presidential campaign

“He’s putting himself over everything else, I think this was an ego trip for him, he hates Trump and he thinks this will help himself look saintly by having voted against President Trump,” said Barr.

This comes after Rick Gorka, who was a spokesman for Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign, wrote on Twitter that the senator’s vote against Trump was motivated by “bitterness and jealousy.”

“I believe Mitt Romney is motivated by bitterness and jealously that Donald Trump accomplished what he has failed to do multiple times,” Gorka tweeted. “His desire to pander to the chattering class has gotten the best of him…again.”

Not stopping there, Gorka pointed out how pathetic it is that Romney is now pandering to the very people who stopped him from fulfilling his dream of becoming president back in 2012.

“These are the same people that hated Mitt in 2012 and they will hate him again when they are done with him,” he added. “It is sad to see that Mitt has not learned the lessons from 2012. Now he has betrayed his Party and millions of voters.”

MORE NEWS: Buttigieg hit by New Hampshire feminists

Romney’s vote to convict Trump was indeed pathetic. He knew that there was no chance Trump would actually be impeached, and he also knew that his constituents did not want the president to be impeached, yet he voted to convict him anyway because of his own Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Romney will go down in history as a traitor to the Republican Party for what he did this week.

Actor James Woods is Back on Twitter, Immediately Wrecks AOC, Hillary, and Mitt Romney

Conservative actor James Woods, after a nearly 10-month hiatus, is back on Twitter, and he immediately went off on a host of liberal politicians as only he can.

Woods, best known for his roles in the films Once Upon a Time in America and Casino, made his triumphant return to the social media platform by making a mockery of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Sharing a video of the New York socialist arguing before Congress that the common phrase ‘pull yourself up by your bootstraps’ is a literal impossibility, Woods announced he was back.

“I’ve tried so hard this past year to live without the wealth of knowledge available on Twitter, but this kind of blazing insight can be found nowhere else, so… I’m back!” he explained.

Woods added the hashtag “#AOCStillAMoron.”

Hillary, Warren, and Mitt Too

While most mere mortals would have rested on their laurels (Wait, laurels? Somebody ask AOC if it’s literally possible to sleep on shrubs), Woods fired off a number of other gems to entertain the masses.

Sharing a report that several women of color had abandoned presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren’s campaign, Woods wrote: “Not enough room in the Warren TeePee for women of color? Not a surprise, considering what a liar and hypocrite she has been since, well, forever…”

Woods shared a post by Hillary Clinton regarding the impeachment witch hunt of President Trump and needled her over her epic election loss.

“You, of course, will never be impeached,” he surmised. “One up side to being the most famous loser in American history.”

Even Senator Mitt Romney, who recently was the only Republican to vote in favor of convicting President Trump during the impeachment trial, was unable to escape Woods’ wrath.

“This is the guy who passes a silent stinker in the elevator and then proceeds to lecture everybody about intestinal management,” he said of Romney. “You’ll never come back from this one, Mittens. Even your magic pants won’t save you.”

Let’s Keep Him on Twitter

Woods is a favorite of conservatives on Twitter because he is the rare Republican residing in the liberal cesspool of Hollywood and he rarely, rarely holds back on his feelings.

He has often tried baiting Hillary into making another run against Trump in 2020 because he knows she’d be a three-time Presidential loser.

Clinton, it has been reported, would not refuse the role of vice president should it be offered.

Woods’ history of completely annihilating liberals on social media is the stuff of legend.

Here are some examples:

That time he hammered Michelle Obama for claiming women somehow let Trump become President.

His response to Obama claiming the toughest part about being First Lady was enduring the racism.

As well as some brutal mockery of Maxine Waters.

Woods was suspended from Twitter in April under the guise of “targetted harassment,” an oft-used excuse by the social media platform to censor conservatives.

In May, he announced that he was fed up with repeated attempts to censor his comments and said he had no intention of using Twitter again.

We’re glad he changed his mind. Stick around for a while, eh Mr. Woods? Things are just starting to get interesting as the election draws near.

Meghan McCain Shuts Down Whoopi Goldberg When She Tries To Compare Mitt Romney To John McCain

By PopZette Staff | February 6, 2020

An awkward moment took place on the ABC talk show “The View” this morning when Whoopi Goldberg tried to compare Mitt Romney, R-UT., to the late Arizona Senator John McCain. She was then immediately shut down by her cohost Meghan McCain, the deceased Republican’s daughter.

On Wednesday, Romney was the only Republican senator to break party lines by voting to convict President Trump on impeachment charges. While “The View’s” panel discussed this, Goldberg said that Romney’s actions reminded her of McCain.

“I’m just glad somebody stood up and said ‘no,’” Goldberg said. ”I’m going to give faith in him like I gave to your dad.”

Meghan, however, was not having any of it.

“With all due respect, Mitt Romney is nothing like my dad,” she fired back.

Undeterred, Goldberg continued to try and make this point, saying Romney deserves the same credit McCain would have gotten.

RELATED: CNN Ratings Continue to Struggle, Fox News Gets a Huge Boost From Impeachment Trial

“I don’t agree with Mitt Romney but he stood up in a way that nobody else has, except for your dad,” Goldberg said.

“Don’t put all your bets on Romney right now, he will break your heart like he always does,” Meghan replied.

“I’m 63 years old,” Goldberg said to her cohost. “I have been going through this with these people for years.”

McCain then said that it was “very dismissive” for Goldberg to bring up age.

“I don’t know what my age has to do with my political perspective right now. I just don’t think it’s very nice,” she told the liberal.

The two continued to go back and forth until their cohost Joy Behar interrupted to say that she “hates” Trump. How original!

Considering the fact that Romney betrayed the entire Republican Party yesterday due to his own jealousy and bitterness, it’s understandable that Meghan does not want him being compared to her father. Shame on Goldberg for trying to make this comparison, and good for Meghan for not letting her get away with it.

Republicans Call for Romney to be Removed from GOP

Republicans across the board are calling for Sen. Mitt Romney to be kicked out of the GOP for voting to convict President Trump on Wednesday.

“Forever Bitter That He Will Never be POTUS”

Senator Romney voted to convict President Trump of an abuse of power in his office. Romney said that not voting to convict the President would “expose my character to history’s rebuke,” adding that he will “tell my children and their children that I did my duty to the best of my ability, believing that my country expected it of me.”

The President’s oldest son Donald Trump Jr. said on Twitter that Romney was “forever bitter that he will never be POTUS,” and is now “officially a member of the resistance & should be expelled from the GOP.” Andrew Surabian, a former White House advisor agreed, and added “#ExpelMitt.”

Representative Lee Zeldin of New York tweeted that Romney “absolutely despises that Donald Trump was elected POTUS & he was not,” and that the senator has a “sore loser mentality.”

RELATED: Ex-Spokesman For Romney Campaign Says Trump Guilty Vote Was ‘Motivated By Bitterness And Jealousy’

Ronna McDaniel, the GOP Chairwoman, and Romney’s niece, slammed him on Twitter, saying that it wasn’t “the first time I have disagreed with Mitt, and I imagine it will not be the last. The bottom line is President Trump did nothing wrong, and the Republican Party is more united than ever behind him.”

Romney Must Go!

In Utah, a bill designed to allow citizens to recall sitting senators was already going through the legislature when Romney decided to vote for impeachment. HB217 was filed by Utah Rep. Tim Quinn – if 25% of active Utah voters signed a petition to recall a senator, then a recall question would be placed on the next ballot.

“Obviously I didn’t open this bill file after he made some of that news with impeachment, it would have never been drafted this quickly,” Quinn told The Deseret News. “So I can understand why people might think that, but if they understood the legislative process, this was well before that.”

RELATED: Laura Ingraham to Mitt Romney: If I Have to Move to Utah to Beat You I Will

It picked up a huge amount of traction from lawmakers and the public after Romney’s vote. Quinn said he received over 100 phone calls and 250 emails that were “100% positive to the bill.”

If I were living in Utah, I would be picking up the phone to Quinn or drafting an email right this minute – in my opinion, Romney’s removal can’t happen soon enough! Maybe when he’s booted out of office he might consider the wishes of the American people for once!
