Donald Trump Meets With Kevin McCarthy At Mar-A-Lago To Plan 2022 Republican House Takeover 

On Thursday, House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy met with former President Trump in Florida where the two discussed plans at Mar-a-Lago on how Republicans could take back the House in 2022.

McCarthy’s meeting was “very good and cordial” with the former President, according to Trump’s team.

After the meeting, McCarthy tweeted, “United and ready to win in ’22”

‘President Trump Has Agreed To Work With Leader McCarthy’ On 2022

A statement from the Trump-backed Save America PAC read, “President Trump has agreed to work with Leader McCarthy on helping the Republican Party to become a majority in the House.”

“They worked very well together in the last election and picked up at least 15 seats when most predicted it would be the opposite,” it continued. “They will do so again, and the work has already started.”

A statement from McCarthy’s team on the meeting read, “For the sake of our country, the radical Democrat agenda must be stopped.” 

“A united conservative movement will strengthen the bonds of our citizens and uphold the freedoms our country was founded on.”

Fox News reports that an aide familiar the meeting said its purpose was to move the Republican Party forward. 

The aide told Fox News, “They are catching up as McCarthy will be in the neighborhood.” 

“They’ve been on good terms for a while, and that will be important for the party moving forward” the aide added.

Liz Cheney A Top Target For Trump

CNN reports that Trump will bring his energy to bear on neoconservative Rep. Liz Cheney, the #3 Republican in the House. 

Cheney, along with nine other Republicans, voted with Democrats to impeach Trump in January.

According to CNN, Trump has been following the effort by House Republicans to remove Cheney from her leadership position. 

Just this week, America First Congressman Matt Gaetz, a top ally of Trump, flew to Wyoming to encourage Republicans to toss Cheney and elect someone else to Congress.

The Meeting Indicates GOP Needs Very Popular Trump

The meeting was reportedly set up after Trump’s team learned McCarthy would be fundraising in Florida.

It is no secret McCarthy would like to replace Nancy Pelosi as House Speaker if his party can take back the House in two years.

Trump invited McCarthy to Mar-a-Lago and the House Republican Leader was quick to accept.

What this also signifies besides the upcoming midterm is that top Republican leaders appear to have no plans to break away from Trump following the January 6 Capitol Hill attacks.

McCarthy had said that Trump bore some responsibility for the attack.

McCarthy Criticized Trump After Capitol Violence

Opposing impeachment on the House floor on January 13, McCarthy still said “the President bears responsibility for Wednesday’s attack on Congress by mob rioters.”

“He should have immediately denounced the mob when he saw what was unfolding,” McCarthy added. “These facts require immediate action by President Trump.”

As for whether or not Trump’s speech that day provoked the attack, McCarthy said last week, “I don’t believe he provoked it if you listen to what he said at the rally.”

It is likely that this subject was not a focus when McCarthy and Trump met Thursday at the former president’s resort.

Whether Republican leaders like it or not, Republican voters still very much support President Trump. 

An Axios poll from the week after the Capitol incident showed that 92% of Republican voters want to see Trump run for President again in 2024.

RNC Says They Will Be Neutral If Trump Runs In 2024 – But Polls Show GOP Voters Definitely Won’t

The Republican National Committee (RNC) says it will not actively back former President Donald Trump should he decide to run again in 2024 and will remain neutral in the contest.

RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel said in an interview with the Associated Press that, “The party has to stay neutral. I’m not telling anybody to run or not to run in 2024. That’s going to be up to those candidates  going forward. What I really do want to see him do, though, is help us win back majorities in 2022.”

There Are Visible Differences In The GOP

2020 Senior Advisor to the Trump campaign Jason Miller says that is exactly what Trump wants to do.

Miller says the president, “made clear his goal is to win back the House and Senate for Republicans in 2022.” 

But there are some visible fissures in the Republican Party. All is not well for 2022.

A perfect example of that is the recent sniping between Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Liz Cheney (R-WY).

Gaetz, a strong and vocal supporter of Donald Trump, flew to Cheney’s state of Wyoming to campaign against her, after she voted to impeach President Trump.

When Gaetz announced he would go to Wyoming to help “inspire” voters to oust Cheney, her office responded with snark, stating, “Rep. Gaetz can leave his beauty bag at home. In Wyoming the men don’t wear make-up.” 

There has been a lot of speculation as to what Donald Trump’s future plans might be, aside from helping the GOP in 2022.

Indications are that Trump won’t just be helping the GOP, but trying to reshape it as well.

There has been talk of Trump starting a third party. Donald has even come up with a name for it, the “Patriot Party.”

Reports indicated that Trump was using the specter of a third party to hold Republicans in line on the upcoming impeachment trial. 

Instead, The Donald has apparently decided to primary challenge “Never Trump” Republicans.

It was also reported that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was “pleased” about impeachment, saying he thought that it might help to “purge” Trump from the Republican Party.

What McConnell and the rest of his crowd don’t seem to realize is that he may very well “purge” Republican voters, angry at the party for dissing Trump. 

A poll from Axios shows that Republicans side with Trump over McConnell – big time. 

There has also been belief that Trump may start a media outlet to rival Fox News.

Trump has been highly critical of the conservative news channel since the early call for Arizona for Joe Biden on election night.

America First vs. America Last

The divide within the Republican Party may be just this simple, but simple isn’t always without casualties. There is clearly now a Trump wing of the party which includes guys like Matt Gaetz.

That fact makes the Mitch McConnells and the Liz Cheneys of the party crazy.  

Gaetz’s America First vision of a strong economy, peace, low taxes and regulations, and less government interference – the things that Trump ran on in 2016 – have more of an attraction to average Americans.

What Trump called the “America Last” agenda consists of sending American troops hither and yon for indefinite periods of time, not standing up to the liberal Democrat agenda, and voting to impeach a president that his supporters feel is the only one listening to them.

The Cheney/McConnell types support the latter vision.

And they seem to be hanging on for dear life to the idea of Democrat “unity.” The definition of which is usually means ‘Republicans shut up and cave to Democrats.’

The Numbers Are In Trump’s Favor 

A Rasmussen survey released on Tuesday said that 56% of Republican voters “believe that Trump should either probably or definitely run for president again in 2024, or at least be a political power figure.

Fifty-three percent believe a third party is a good idea.

The aforementioned Axios poll has a whopping 92% of Republicans agreeing that Trump should be the GOP candidate for President in 2024.

Rob Reiner Calls Trump ‘New Leader Of The Confederacy’ Who Must Be Convicted

On Wednesday, actor, director and outspoken leftist Rob Reiner said that the Senate must convict former President Donald Trump, who he called “the new leader of the Confederacy.”

Reiner, popularly known as the Meathead character in “All In The Family,” said this was necessary for Democrats to win “our continuing Civil War.”

Rob Reiner: ‘Donald Trump, The New Leader Of The Confederacy’

“Our original sin is at the the root of our continuing Civil War. Donald Trump, the new leader of the Confederacy, heads the Sedition,” Reiner wrote.

“If he is not held accountable with a Senate conviction, there will be no Appomattox.”

Appomattox, of course, is the Virginia town where in 1865 Confederate General Robert E. Lee surrendered to Union General Ulysses S. Grant.

Reiner is no stranger to trying to push politicians to impeach Trump.

Earlier in January, the Reiner insisted that anyone in Congress who did not try to remove the president as Trump’s days in the White House wound down would themselves be guilty of the federal crime of sedition. 

Reiner tweeted not long after the Capitol Hill riot, “Any members of Congress that doesn’t support Impeachment and Removal of this President supports Sedition.”

Reiner Thought Trump Would Be Arrested After Election Day

When then President-elect Joe Biden was calling for unity and wanted to “heal America” back in December, Reiner said that could only happen if Trump’s family and administration face criminal prosecution.

In September, Reiner said on social media that law enforcement would arrest then-President Trump after the election day, and also added “in 42 days we will arrest the killer.”

“Donald Trump has essentially shot and killed 100s of thousands Americans on 5th Ave, continues to do it every day, and he’s right, his cult doesn’t care,” tweeted Reiner.

“But the rest of US do. In 42 days we will arrest the killer.”

In October of last year, Reiner claimed that Trump was “trying to kill as many Americans as possible” by campaigning during the presidential campaign.

Then in December, Reiner demanded the arrest of the entire Trump family. With no caveats, one can assume he includes First Lady Melania and son Barron in that demand.

How long will Rob Reiner continue to obsess over Donald Trump now that he is out of office?

191 Year Old Philly Newspaper Publishes Article Titled “Is It Wrong To Compare Trump To Hitler? No”

The Philadelphia Inquirer’s David Lee Preston recently wrote an opinion column in which he defended comparing Nazi Germany dictator Adolf Hitler to the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump.

The title? “Is it wrong to compare Trump to Hitler? No.”

The Inquirer was founded in 1829 and is considered the newspaper of record in the Delaware Valley.

Author – Laughably – Tries To Compare Trump To Hitler

Is it wrong to take this column seriously? Yes.

But for argument’s sake, Preston writes, “Many people find it offensive to use the Holocaust as a yardstick for the political excesses of the last four years that culminated in the storming of Washington on Jan. 6.”

“They believe that to mention Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler in the same breath, as Spike Lee did on Sunday in an awards speech, disrespects the millions of innocent victims and survivors, diminishing the enormity of the Nazis’ crimes,” Preston added.

To be clear, as everyone in the world knows, Hitler systematically exterminated six million Jews, and launched a war that killed tens of millions of people. 

Preston lists other examples he believes justifies the comparison.

Then he tried this comparison, “Are my fellow Americans who breached the barricades and broke into the halls of Congress different from the Germans who thought they were doing their patriotic duty by burning synagogues and shattering Jewish-owned shops in 1938?”

Preston continued, “By defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord,’ Hitler wrote in 1925 in Mein Kampf, adding that ‘in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility.”

‘Is It Sacrilegious To Suggest A Link Between Hitler And Trump?… I Don’t Think So’

Preston goes on and on and on painting Trump as being in the same shameful space as Hitler.

He finally finished with, “It is sacrilegious to suggest a link between Hitler and Trump?”

“I don’t think so. I’d say it keeps us vigilant for the warning signs.”

Much like Democrats who are trying to compare the criminals who ransacked the Capitol to organized terrorism – and worse, comparing any Trump supporter to terrorists – Preston is way off the mark.

Which might be the understatement of this young century. 

Literally Nothing Compares To The Absolute Horror Of Hitler And The Holocaust

There are few, if any, human atrocities more ghastly in the history of earth than what Hitler and his German army did to the Jews of Europe in their time.

Systematic mass genocide at a rate so gargantuan and grotesque that the tragedy stands as the forever example of what we should never forget, so that it never happens again.

Whether you agree or disagree with Trump, his politics, his actions as president, his tone or manner, nothing he has ever done remotely compares to human beings trying to exterminate another entire group of human beings so methodically and heartlessly.

And if we’re objectively looking at the record, we’re talking about a President who went to battle with his own government while trying to end wars – and who successfully achieved four Middle East peace deals. 

Peace deals between Arab states and Israel, the Jewish state. 

Quite, very un-Hitler like, no?

It is also beyond absurd to imply that Americans who voted for Trump are comparable to the rise of Hitler.

Ironically, what these comparisons attempt to do is to dehumanize vast swaths of the American population. 

If Trump supporters are comparable to actual Nazis, then anything is theoretically justified in order to silence, ostracize, defame, and marginalize them. 

That’s over 70 million people. 

Criticize Trump’s actions. Denounce his politics. His words. His way of expressing things. His tone, his anything.

But out of respect for the millions lost, including your own family, stop trying to use one of the worst tragedies in history as a political tool in the here and now.

As divided as Americans are, we simply must be able to agree that mean tweets are not the same thing as systematically exterminating millions of human beings. 

If not, this country is in big trouble.

John Kasich Tells Don Lemon That Some Trump Supporters Might Still Be Redeemable

Former Ohio governor John Kasich, in an interview with CNN anchor Don Lemon, suggested some Trump supporters “are redeemable.”

Kasich (R), who unsuccessfully ran against former President Trump in 2016 and endorsed Joe Biden in 2020, suggested to Lemon that supporters must confess their sins before being welcomed back into the fold.

In other words, confess that the Capitol riots were as bad as the media portrays and the whole event is all Trump’s fault.

“Honestly, Don, what we have to ask ourselves are, who’s redeemable?” he said. “Who we bring over to say this is — this is just wrong. This never happened this way.”

“And we’ve got to figure out how to talk to some of those people and reach them, Don, and get them back.”

“Some of them are redeemable. I can tell you they are. And you know that some of them are, don’t you?” Kasich continued. “You’ve met them. They’ve gone up to you and said, ‘Lemon, you’re right.'”

John Kasich Tells Don Lemon Some Trump Supporters Are Redeemable

For his part, Lemon wasn’t buying the notion that some Trump supporters are redeemable, as John Kasich suggests.

“How do you reason with unreasonable people?” he asked.

“No matter how many times you show them video of Trump supporters and people – hundreds – 150 or so, or close to it, who have been arrested from the Capitol … that is not living in reality,” Lemon added.

“Why would you even want to reason with those people?”

‘Not living in reality’ is Lemon, who is super-despondent over what happened at the Capitol but denied the reality of leftist-led race riots over the summer.

Lemon suggested rioters setting cities ablaze in the name of racial justice were comparable to American revolutionaries.

“Our country was started because, the Boston tea party. Rioting,” the CNN flak said as footage of arsons and looting were emerging.

“So do not get it twisted and think this is something that has never happened before and this is so terrible and these savages and all of that,” he continued. “This is how this country was started.”

Was Lemon ever taken to task for inciting violence, for voicing support for the overthrow of law and order?

Trump Supporters Need to Be Deprogrammed

Kasich’s argument that some of the “redeemable” Trump supporters could one day see the light is reminiscent of several liberals who have suggested they need to be deprogrammed in some way.

Television personality Katie Couric recently asked, “How are we going to really almost deprogram these people who have signed up for the cult of Trump?”

Washington Post columnist and MSNBC contributor Eugene Robinson, likewise, said Trump supporters are “members of a cult” and that they need to be both “deprogrammed” and “reprogrammed.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez argued that “white supremacy” is a poison represented by President Trump, then suggested the government needs to “double, triple, or quadruple the funding” into programs that “deradicalize” brainwashed white supremacists.

People like AOC, Lemon, and Kasich don’t want unity, they want you brainwashed just as they have been.

Dead On Arrival: 45 Republicans – Including McConnell – Vote That Trump’s Impeachment Trial Is Unconstitutional

A majority of Republicans – including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell – voted Wednesday that the impeachment trial of Donald Trump is unconstitutional.

Senator Rand Paul forced a vote on the matter.

In an op-ed written over the weekend, Paul (R-KY) called the impeachment process against the former President a “farce” and said it should be dismissed.

“The Constitution says two things about impeachment — it is a tool to remove the officeholder, and it must be presided over by the chief justice of the Supreme Court,” he wrote.

Neither of those elements exists in this case, as President Trump is no longer in office and Chief Justice John Roberts has declined to preside over the trial.

Paul Declares Unconstitutional Impeachment Vote Is Dead

Paul called for a procedural vote regarding holding a trial, claiming the Senate shouldn’t address the article of impeachment against Trump because he is out of office.

In a speech prior to the vote – a speech that went viral – the Kentucky Republican blasted Democrats as “hyper-partisan” and suggested  they “are about to drag our great country into the gutter of rancor and vitriol the likes of which has never been seen in our nation’s history.”

The Senate voted 55-45 to end debate on Paul’s point of order, but the point, in reality, was made. Only five Republicans joined the Democrats, well below the 17 that would be needed for a vote of conviction.

“If you voted that it was unconstitutional, how in the world would you ever vote to convict somebody for this?” Paul told reporters. “This vote indicates it’s over. The trial is all over.”

He later tweeted that the impeachment trial was “dead on arrival.”

Who Joined the Democrats?

Of the five Republicans who voted with Democrats, you had your usual suspects. Typical RINOs who often hide their contempt for President Trump in the cloak of the Constitution, but clearly don’t understand its words.

Susan Collins (ME), Lisa Murkowski (AK), Ben Sasse (NE), Pat Toomey (PA), and Mitt Romney (UT) all voted to table Paul’s point of order.

Article I, Section 3 of the Constitution reads in part:

The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.

Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law.

McConnell, surprisingly, voted against ending the debate.

McConnell has reportedly viewed the Democrats’ effort to impeach the president as a means to “help rid the Republican Party of Trump and his movement.”

A recent poll from Axios-Ipsos shows Republican voters have been siding with President Trump over McConnell on the matter.

A majority have said they do not hold Trump responsible for the Capitol riots, believe he has a right to challenge the election, and still prefer him as their nominee in 2024.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer indicated earlier this week that President Trump’s impeachment trial would be “quick,” adding no decision has been made on the need for witnesses.

Evidence is beginning to point to this unconstitutional impeachment trial as a sham – perhaps even more so than the first one.

Schumer Promises Quick Impeachment Trial, A Lot Of Witnesses Not Necessary

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer indicated President Trump’s impeachment trial would be “quick” adding no decision has been made on the need for witnesses.

Schumer (D-NY) made the comments during an interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow.

“The trial will be done in a way that is fair but … relatively quickly,” he said.

Schumer added, “I don’t think there’s a need for a whole lot of witnesses,” insisting the trial will be “fair.”

The Hill reports that Schumer “added that no decision had been made on whether or not there would be witnesses,” but his call for a swift process indicates he “didn’t think many witnesses are needed.”

Chuck Schumer Promises Quick Impeachment Trial

President Trump’s first Senate impeachment trial took just 21 days. Bill Clinton’s impeachment trial lasted 36 days.

But Democrats have argued the second Trump impeachment would be quicker due to the riots he allegedly incited having played out in real-time in public.

Or, perhaps it indicates they have less proof of a high crime or misdemeanor than they did with the first minimal-evidence impeachment effort.

Schumer has indicated a desire to move quickly due to concerns that the impeachment trial would interfere with President Biden implementing his 100-day agenda.

“We have so much else to do,” he lamented.

Biden Says Dems Don’t Have Enough Votes

At the very moment the historic article of impeachment was being delivered to the Senate, President Biden indicated the trial would likely not lead to a conviction because Democrats simply don’t have the votes.

Biden, according to CNN, said he doesn’t believe 17 Republican senators – the number necessary to lead to a successful effort by Nancy Pelosi’s manager – will vote to convict Trump.

“The Senate has changed since I was there, but it hasn’t changed that much,” Biden said.

While some Republicans have indicated they might join the effort to convict, several others have said the move would be disastrous for the GOP.

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) voiced his opinion that having GOP leadership move forward with Trump’s impeachment would be a “huge mistake” and would “destroy” the Republican Party.

Other senators warned Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) that he “could face backlash if he votes to convict Trump.”

Still, Biden said the trial “has to happen” and that there would be “a worse effect if it didn’t happen.”

Rand Paul Slams Impeachment ‘Farce’ That ‘Should Be Dismissed’

On Sunday, Senator Rand Paul said in an op-ed that the impeachment process against former President Donald Trump was a “farce” and called for it to be dismissed.  

Paul wrote in his op-ed “Boycott Sham Impeachment” for The Hill, “The Constitution says two things about impeachment — it is a tool to remove the office holder, and it must be presided over by the chief justice of the Supreme Court.”

Sen. Paul: Trump Not To Blame For Capitol Violence

“If Justice Roberts is not presiding over this, then it is not impeachment,” Paul wrote. “This charade will be nothing more than bitter partisanship and political theater.”

According to Politico, sources in both parties “close to the impeachment trial negotiations,” claimed that Chief Justice Roberts didn’t want a role in the trial and a spokesperson for Supreme Court judge declined to comment to Politico on the matter.

Paul also said a politician merely telling a crowd to “fight to take back your country” doesn’t mean he or she provoked violence, as many have accused Trump of doing in his speech preceding the Capitol Hill attack.

“If we are to blame politicians for the most violent acts of their craziest supporters, then many of my colleagues would face some pretty harsh charges themselves,” Paul said.

Paul Revisits Bernie Supporter Shooting Republican Congressmen

The senator continued, “I’ve been shot at, assaulted and harassed by supporters of the left, including some who directly said the words of politicians moved them to this violence.”

Sen. Paul then brought up the 2017 incident in which a reported Bernie Sanders supporter shot at him and other Republicans on a baseball field while practicing for the annual congressional baseball game.

Paul wrote, “I was there at the ball field when a deranged Bernie Sanders supporter almost killed Steve Scalise and seriously wounded several others.”

“At the time, Democrats were arguing that the GOP plan for health care was ‘you get sick, then they let you die’ Paul said.

“Is it any wonder an insane left-wing gunman took that rhetoric to heart and concluded: ‘If the GOP is going to let me die then maybe I’ll just kill them first?”

‘This So-Called Impeachment Is A Farce’

Libertarian-leaning Republican Paul then ended his op-ed by denouncing the Trump impeachment as a “farce” that should be stopped.

Paul wrote, “I am more than willing to work with Democrats to find common ground on protecting civil liberties or ending some of our many foreign military interventions, but no unity or common ground will be found while Democrats continue to fight the last election.”

“This so-called impeachment is a farce and should be dismissed before it is even allowed to begin,” Paul ended.

The impeachment trial is scheduled to begin the week of February 8. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said earlier in January that he hasn’t made a decision yet on whether to vote to convict Trump.

Reports Of Donald Trump’s Political Demise Are Greatly Exaggerated

In 1897, a newspaper in New York printed the obituary for American novelist Mark Twain. The only problem? Twain was in London on a speaking tour and very much alive.

When asked about the printing of the obituary by a reporter, Twain famously quipped, “the reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.”

For the last few weeks, the mainstream media and the Republican establishment have told us repeatedly that Donald Trump’s political career and his influence over the GOP is at an end.

GOP Establishment, Media Want Trump Gone

Writing in the National Review this week, noted ‘NeverTrumper’ Dan McLaughlin said, “for the first time in five years, it is possible to propose or promote conservative ideas without having to go through or around Donald Trump.”

McLaughlin went on to note:

Trump’s influence will linger to an extent that is yet to be tested, but unless and until he returns to win another presidential nomination, his monopoly over the Republican Party — over its access to power, its communications with voters, its reputation and ideals — is broken.

This is far from the first time that the press has told us that Trump’s political future is at an end. Indeed, this is probably closer to the 100th time they have made this proclamation.

From the very first day he came down the escalator to announce his candidacy, to his attack on John McCain, to the floor fights at the convention, to the Access Hollywood tapes, to the Russia hoax, to the Ukraine hoax, to the first impeachment, and the list goes on and on and on and on.

The cycle of these stories is always the same. Event happens, event gets completely blown out of proportion by the media, establishment Republicans pile on Trump hoping to finally get rid of him, and in the end – Trump ends up just as popular, if not even more popular, with his base.

Trump Supporters Can’t Be Tricked Or Browbeaten

This cycle of “the end of Trump” is no different than the first 99, and the outcome – much to the disappointment of Dan McLaughlin and the rest of the Trump Deranged – will be no different either.

Donald Trump will emerge from this “scandal” with an even stronger and more committed base.

Why? The answer, is actually not that difficult to discern. For Trump supporters, this isn’t about Trump, it’s about them. They rightfully see the attacks on Trump as attacks on them – and with good reason.

Since Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” comment back in 2016 up until today, the left, the mainstream media and the establishment GOP has orchestrated an unprecedented attack on the voters who support Trump.

Instead of focusing on policy differences with Trump, they have instead lobbed attack after attack on the people who elected Trump in the first place.

They have accused Trump supporters of being hillbillies, racists, xenophobes, bigots, and now seditionists.

CNN host Don Lemon recently went as far as to accuse all Trump supporters of being on the side of Nazis and the KKK:

“If you voted for Trump, you voted for the person who the Klan supported. You voted for the person who Nazis support. You voted for the person who the alt-right supports. You voted for the person who incited a crowd to go into the Capitol and potentially take the lives of lawmakers … You voted on that side, and the people in Washington are continuing to vote on that side.”

It’s Not Trump They Hate – It’s YOU

By failing to focus their attacks solely on Trump, but instead choosing to attack his voters as well, every single one of these hyperbolic “scandals” fail to actually do long-term damage to Trump and to his brand.

Indeed, these “scandals” have quite the opposite effect, serving only to deepen and harden Trump’s support among his base.

The reports of Donald Trump’s political demise are greatly exaggerated, and the mainstream media, the left and the establishment of the Republican Party can thank themselves for keeping Trump’s brand and power intact.

Rapper Lil Wayne Sends Thanks To President Trump For Presidential Pardon 

On Thursday, rapper Lil Wayne thanked Donald Trump for including him on the list of 100-plus pardons issued as the former president exited the White House this week.

Lil Wayne thanked him for “recognizing that I have so much more to give to my family, my art, and my community.”

Lil Wayne: ‘I Want To Thank President Trump’

The Grammy Award winner and famous Green Bay Packers fan sent a grateful message to President Trump.

“I want to thank President Trump for recognizing that I have so much more to give to my family, my art, and my community. I also want to thank @bradfordcohen for working so diligently to secure another chance for me. Love!”

The rapper signed his message using his full legal name, Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.

Wayne had praised Trump’s “Platinum Plan for Black Americans” during Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign, an effort to revitalize and create job growth for black communities.

In November 2020, the rapper was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon for flying with a firearm and ammunition.

Trump Also Pardoned Rapper Kodak Black

Lil Wayne’s attorney, Howard Srebnick, told the Associated Press at the time, “Carter is charged with possessing a gold-plated handgun in his luggage on a private plane.”

“There is no allegation that he ever fired it, brandished it, used it or threatened to use it,” Srebnick added. “There is no allegation that he is a dangerous person.”

In October, Wayne said that he had a “great meeting” with Trump and praised him for being a Republican who had actually made outreach efforts to black Americans.  

Trump also commuted the sentence of Rapper Kodak Black, who remained in federal prison for “making a false statement to buy a firearm.” 

Black thanked Trump on Twitter.

“I Want To Thank The President @RealDonaldTrump For His Commitment To Justice Reform And Shortening My Sentence. I Also Want To Thank Everyone For Their Support And Love. It Means More Than You Will Ever Know. I Want To Continue Giving Back, Learning And Growing,” the rapper tweeted.
