McCarthy Picks Jim Jordan, Other Trump Allies For Pelosi’s January 6 Select Committee

Jim Jordan, a staunch ally of former President Trump, is among the five Republicans chosen to serve on Nancy Pelosi’s select committee created to investigate the January 6th Capitol protest.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy made the announcement Monday evening.

Joining Jordan (R-OH) on the select committee are GOP Reps. Jim Banks (IN), Rodney Davis (IL), Kelly Armstrong (AL), and Troy Nehls (TX).

Banks will serve as the ranking member as “a rising star who is serving this cycle as chairman of the conservative Republican Study Committee,” according to The Hill.

Jordan, Banks Named To Select Committee

Banks responded to being named ranking member on the select committee by promising to find “the facts about the lead up to January 6 … and the responses from Capitol leadership and the Biden administration.”

“Make no mistake, Nancy Pelosi created this committee solely to malign conservatives and to justify the Left’s authoritarian agenda,” he added.

Jim Jordan responded to his addition to the select committee by posting a video of Democrats objecting to Trump’s election victory in 2016, as well as those fomenting the Russia collusion conspiracy.

All five voted against impeaching Trump for his alleged role in the Capitol protest.

‘Impeachment – Round Three’

Jordan appeared on Newsmax to discuss his role on the select committee and also noted that Pelosi’s decision to create a select committee is political in nature.

“We know what this is – this is impeachment, round three,” he claimed. “This is to go after President Trump.”

Jordan went on to point out that Democrats don’t want the focus to be on the Biden administration and their party’s absolute failures of governance – including inflation, the economy, and the border crisis.

“So what are they going to do?” he asked facetiously. “Go after President Trump. The most successful President in our lifetime.”

Forbes reports that even with McCarthy’s choices for the select committee, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “has the final say over appointments to the panel.”

“The text of the resolution creating the committee … allows Pelosi to appoint all 13 members of the committee, including five ‘after consultation’ with McCarthy,” they explain.

Earlier this month, Pelosi named her own eight choices to serve on the select committee.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) was the only Republican selected by Pelosi due to her anti-Trump history.

The Republican celebrated her addition to the panel.

“Congress is obligated to conduct a full investigation of the most serious attack on our Capitol since 1814,” she said.

“That day saw the most sacred space in our Republic overrun by an angry and violent mob attempting to stop the counting of electoral votes and threatening the peaceful transfer of power.”

Democrats tried objecting to the certification of electoral votes for Donald Trump in 2017 on 11 separate occasions according to CNN.

Ousted Anti-Trump GOP Chair Liz Cheney Outraises Successor Stefanik

The split in the Republican Party is not going away anytime soon, if fundraising numbers are to be believed.

Anti-Trump Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), who was recently ousted as the GOP Conference Chair for her aggressive, repeated attacks on the leader of the party, raised significantly more money than her successor, Elise Stefanik (R-NY).

In fact, in the second quarter of the year alone, Cheney broke fundraising records for a second time.

This is significant because it is also the period during which Cheney was removed as GOP Conference Chair, the highest ranking Republican member of Congress.

She has consistently been an outspoken critic of former President Donald Trump.

RELATED: Major Inflation Spike As Consumer Prices See Biggest Increase Since 2008 Financial Meltdown

Tale Of The Numbers

During the second quarter of 2021, which runs from April to June, Cheney raised roughly $1.88 million. During the first quarter, also a record breaker, she raised $1.5 million.

For the same second quarter time period, Stefanik raised $1.467 million. The difference is around $400,000.

The Hill reports that the Cheney campaign has $2.85 million on hand, almost double her first quarter total. Her total so far for the year is roughly $3.5 million, up from the $3 million received for her successful 2020 re-election bid.

Cheney will likely need it, as she’s drawn a number of Republican primary challengers over her vote to impeach President Trump.

The Stefanik campaign reported having $2.1 million cash on hand.

RELATED: Could Senate Democrats Sink Biden’s Anti-Gun Nominee For ATF Director?

Cheney And Stefanik

Liz Cheney’s trouble began soon after the Jan. 6 riot, when she placed the blame squarely at the feet of former President Donald Trump.

At the time, she called it “the most egregious violation of an oath of office of any president in our history.” She then became one of just 10 House Republicans to vote to impeach Trump for what they saw was his role in the violence at the Capitol.

Cheney came under fire not just from Trump and his supporters, but she also garnered some trouble at home.

Almost immediately following her impeachment vote, she had a 2022 primary challenger. Since then, others have jumped into the race in Wyoming to unseat her.

Cheney is not the lone House member to get a primary challenger. Of the 10 that voted to impeach, nine of those have 2022 primary challengers.

Republicans first tried to remove Cheney from her Conference Chair position in February, but she managed to hang on to her position. On the second attempt in May, she was removed from the Conference Chair position.

Elise Stefanik is a fourth term Congresswoman from upstate New York. She is young, and has described herself as the opposite of far-left Democrat Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Stefanik’s district has seen a bigger shift to the right since the election of Donald Trump, and she has become an ally of Trump. Trump hosted a fundraiser for Stefanik back in June that brought in $250,000.

GOP Feeling Good About 2022

The National Republican Congressional Committee is set to report $79.2 million raised in the first half of 2021.

The NRCC reports having $55 million cash on hand, compared to $44 million for the DCCC.

NRCC Chairman Tom Emmer said of the cash haul, “We will take back the majority next fall and voters are doing everything they can to help us accomplish that goal,” NRCC Chairman Tom Emmer said in a statement. “Every vulnerable House Democrat should be eyeing the exits because if they choose to run, they will lose.”

Trump Lawyer Jenna Ellis Quits The Republican Party During Live Broadcast

Jenna Ellis, the former attorney for President Trump, quit the Republican Party during a live broadcast on the conservative news platform, “Real America’s Voice.”

Ellis said she is making the move because, in her mind, it’s clear the GOP does not – and did not – support the former President enough.

“Sure, the Republicans claim to be keeping Democrats in check, but only a handful of outsiders are actually speaking up,” she claimed. “The rest are compromising on everything.”

“The infrastructure bill, for example,” Ellis continued. “Or the second impeachment hoax, where [Senate GOP Leader Mitch] McConnell actually stood up and ranted against President Trump for his own political gain, not for the truth.”

The former Trump attorney’s announcement seems to have been spurred on by a recent spat with the Republican National Committee (RNC).

Jenna Ellis Quits The GOP

Late this past weekend, Jenna Ellis accused the RNC of lying about a story claiming the group’s chief counsel questioned electoral fraud claims.

The in-fighting exploded following a report regarding a new book by Michael Wolff which, in one excerpt, claimed Ellis received a forwarded note from RNC chief counsel Justin Riemer.

In emails obtained by The Hill, Riemer questioned colleagues who were backing Trump’s claims of election fraud during the 2020 election.

“What Rudy [Giuliani] and Jenna are doing is a joke and they are getting laughed out of court,” Riemer reportedly wrote in emails obtained by the Washington Post.

“They are misleading millions of people who have wishful thinking that the president is going to somehow win this thing,” he continued.

Ellis allegedly showed the message to the two people she was having dinner with at the time, one of whom was another attorney for the former President, Rudy Giuliani.

The book claims Giuliani was so incensed by the message that he called Riemer and delivered a profanity-laced demand to resign.

“Who the f*** do you you think you are? How can you be going against the president?” the book claims Giuliani said. “You need to resign and resign tonight … because you are going to get fired.”

Giuliani then purportedly called McDaniel to ensure he had been fired.

The RNC issued a statement insisting the story “is simply false.”

Ellis, however, said it was true and that she had the receipts to back it up. She demanded McDaniel resign.

RELATED: Trump Easily Wins CPAC Straw Poll – Warns Biden Bringing America ‘To the Brink of Ruin’ In Fiery Speech

Ellis Calls Out The RNC

The RNC, well after the incident in question took place in November, continued to raise money off Trump’s claims of election fraud.

Jenna Ellis, in her on-air speech in which she quit the Republican Party, addressed the perceived hypocrisy.

“What happened to the millions raised by the RNC in November and December of 2020?” she asked. “The Trump team never saw a dime of that help.”

“All of them, including Ronna McDaniel, should resign now,” she continued before announcing her departure.

By voting, you agree to receive email communication from The Political Insider. Click HERE for more information.

“Until they do, as of today, I am resigning from the party,” she declared. “A compromised, corrupted majority is not a majority worth being a part of.”

Riemer, who is still with the RNC despite Giuliani’s attempts to get him fired, insists that the committee did everything they could to support Trump without dabbling in election fraud conspiracies.

“Any suggestion that I did not support President Trump or do everything in my power to support the RNC’s efforts to reelect President Trump is false,” Riemer said in a statement to the Washington Post.

“I will say publicly now what I then said privately: I take issue with individuals who brought lawsuits that did not serve President Trump well and did not give him the best chance in court,” he added.

Regardless of Riemer’s assertion, which might very well be accurate, it’s clear the RNC tried to discredit the story only for the truth to have come out in an embarrassing fashion.

“If we genuinely want to create a more perfect union, we have to stand up for our principles against a corrupted machine of self-serving politicians in Washington,” Ellis said.

McDaniel, who is the niece of anti-Trump Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT), has since purportedly blocked Ellis on Twitter.

Murkowski Challenger Kelly Tshibaka Is Endorsed By Alaska Republican Party

On Saturday, the Republican Party of Alaska officially endorsed Kelly Tshibaka in her primary challenge against long-time incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski.

Murkowski has been a frequent critic of former President Donald Trump and voted to convict him on his second impeachment of inciting the January 6 attack on the Capitol.

Trump endorsed Tshibaka in June.

Local party branches typically support the incumbent, or at the most, stay out of primaries. It’s big news when a state party actually endorses an intra-party primary challenger.

RELATED: Lincoln Project Co-Founder Says January 6 Riot ‘Likely To Kill A Lot More Americans’ Than 9/11

Murkowski’s Favorable Ratings Plummet

Tshibaka said in a statement, “I am grateful and thrilled to have the strong support of the Alaska Republican Party, which voted overwhelmingly to endorse my candidacy for the U.S. Senate.”

“We all share a unified goal: to promote the principles upon which our country and state were founded. I have pledged that I will be true to our shared, conservative Alaska ideals and be a senator upon whom they can depend to make every decision based on what is best for our great state,” she said.

“We need a senator who will stand with Alaskans and not cozy up to the Washington, D.C. insiders, a senator who has earned the trust of the people and strives to keep it every day,” Tshibaka continued, obviously referring to Murkowski.

“It is time for conservative leaders, with courage and common sense, to rise together across the nation,” the GOP primary challenger added. “I am honored to be endorsed as that candidate for Alaska.”

In the past Tshibaka has called Murkowski a “traitor” and has described her as someone who “sucks up to CNN” and the “radical Biden administration.”

In June, Murkowski saw her favorable rating among Republicans sink to a jaw dropping 6 percent.

Tshibaka Claims Murkowski Has Not Pursued A Conservative Agenda

Tshibaka said of Murkowski to Breitbart News on Saturday, “She’s been voting with them, hurting our way of life, and she’s not standing up to the radical Biden administration while they kill our oil and gas jobs.”

Tshibaka then gave a few examples of where she thought Murkowski had voted with Democrats more than her own party.

“She’s voted to allow illegal immigrants to come into our country,” Tshibaka accused Mrkowski. “Even if they commit crime, they can stay here.”

RELATED: Far-Left Democrats Pressuring Pelosi And Biden For Trillions More In Spending

Tshibaka: ‘We Are Absolutely Fed Up With Lisa Murkowski’

“She was the deciding vote to keep Obamacare and that means higher health care costs and fewer healthcare choices for us in Alaska,” she continued, adding that they have “some of the highest health care costs in the country.”

Tshibaka added, “She votes against common-sense judges that keep and protect our Second Amendment rights.”

“So, for all of those reasons, we are absolutely fed up with Lisa Murkowski,” Tshibaka thundered.

With the endorsement of the state GOP and President Trump working against her, Murkowski has a steeply uphill battle for re-election.

Rudy Giuliani’s Law License Suspended In New York

A New York court has suspended the law license of former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who also served as personal attorney to former President Donald Trump.

The court claims that Giuliani made “demonstrably false and misleading” statements to courts, legislators, and the public about the 2020 election in his capacity as Trump’s attorney.

In their decision to suspend Giuliani’s license, the court wrote, “These false statements were made to improperly bolster respondent’s narrative that due to widespread voter fraud, victory in the 2020 United States presidential election was stolen from his client.”

The court stated that Giuliani had made false claims about the number of absentee ballots that had been counted in Pennsylvania after Joe Biden had won the state’s electoral votes.

The court also stated, “We conclude that respondent’s conduct immediately threatens the public interest and warrants interim suspension from the practice of law, pending further proceedings before the Attorney Grievance Committee.”

What Rudy’s Side Is Saying

Attorneys for Giuliani, John Leventhal and Barry Kamins, said that they were “disappointed” with the court’s decision: “Our client does not pose a present danger to the public interest. We believe that once the issues are fully explored at a hearing Mr. Giuliani will be reinstated as a valued member of the legal profession that he has served so well in his many capacities for so many years.”

Giuliani has denied any wrongdoing. In a statement to the New York Post, Giuliani likened the action to the Soviet Union stating, “It’s a complete invasion of my First Amendment rights and my rights as an attorney, I’m allowed to have a client.”

He continued, “President Trump is not allowed to have a lawyer, of course it’s a partisan hit. I didn’t do anything wrong. There’s nothing I said that a witness didn’t tell me. We’re getting to be like East Germany.”

Legal Issues For Rudy

Rudy Giuliani is facing several legal actions.

He is the defendant in a $1.3 million lawsuit where Dominion voting systems has accused him of defamation.

Giuliani claimed after the 2020 presidential election that Dominion voting machines were programmed to flip Trump votes to Biden votes. Another voting machine company, Smartmatic, has also filed suit against Giuliani.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday in relation to the Dominion case.

On April 28, federal agents raided Giuliani’s home and office as part of a separate investigation by federal prosecutors in Manhattan of Giuliani’s activities in Ukraine

The feds claim Giuliani violated lobbying laws by acting as an unregistered foreign agent while working in his capacity as Donald Trump’s lawyer.

Giuliani can now request a post-suspension hearing. He has 20 days to do so.

President Trump also weighed in, calling Giuliani the greatest mayor in the history of New York City.

House Republicans To Launch Climate Caucus After Biden Claims Global Warming Is Greatest Threat To American Security

House Republicans are preparing to launch a caucus designed to educate members on the effects of climate change.

The effort, led by Representative John Curtis (R-UT), will, according to The Hill, “give members information and new strategies for how to talk about” climate change and “possibly even change some minds” on the topic.

The climate caucus reportedly already has 45 members.

Curtis says he is seeking bipartisan solutions on matters such as limiting greenhouse gasses in other countries and supporting nuclear power.

Still, he believes other less popular options for the GOP “should be on the table.”

“I didn’t really know what solutions were good solutions. I didn’t know which ones I could support,” said Curtis.

“It felt like, and I think a lot of Republicans feel this way, I had to endorse the Green New Deal if I was going to … be part of the solution, and a lot of Republicans find that troubling.”

Climate Caucus After Biden Declares Global Warming America’s Greatest Threat

President Biden, during a speech to Air Force personnel in the United Kingdom earlier this month, warned that global warming is the “greatest threat” facing America and that it is “not a joke.”

Biden claimed he was told this by Pentagon officials when he was serving alongside Barack Obama in 2009.

“When I went over to the tank in the Pentagon when I was first was elected vice president with President Obama, the military sat us down and let us know what the greatest threats facing America were, the greatest physical threats,” he told those in attendance.

“This is not a joke,” he insisted. “You know what the Joint Chiefs told us the greatest physical threat facing America was? Global warming.”

Curtis has been seeking to get his GOP colleagues to take the matter of climate change more seriously for some time now.

“This is a Republican bread and butter issue,” he said at a climate change town hall last September. “We care about the Earth, now let’s show it.”

“We have to stop being so afraid of this conversation,” he insisted.

“We’ve got good answers. We’ve got answers that don’t kill the economy. We’ve got answers that can be bipartisan,” Curtis said. “We’re in this. We want to be part of this.”

RELATED: CA To Spend Billions Clearing Forest Floors To Combat Wildfires After Media Mocked Trump For Suggesting It

Curtis Sought to Censure Trump

On Tuesday, The Political Insider reported that wildfires in California, something Democrats have consistently blamed on climate change despite their existence throughout history, are being fought through billions of dollars in funding meant to clear out forest floors.

Perhaps that topic will be addressed in the new Republican climate caucus.

Clearing forest floors to combat wildfires in California is something that was frequently suggested by former President Donald Trump.

He was ridiculed for such suggestions.

Curtis, shortly after the Capitol protest on January 6th, introduced a resolution to censure and condemn Trump.

“The events at the Capitol last week were abhorrent; all those involved must be held accountable, including President Trump,” he said at the time.

“Censuring the President and making it clear that Congress does not support any level of his involvement in the riots nor any attempts to undermine an election is a critical step in holding him accountable as more facts continue to unfold,” added Curtis.

The Utah Republican voted against impeachment, however, citing a lack of time for a full inquiry.

Liz Cheney Upset That Her Colleagues Want To End What Trump Called ‘Endless Wars’

On Thursday, the House voted to repeal the 20-year-old Authorization for Use of Military Force used by President George W. Bush to invade Iraq.

And Liz Cheney was not happy.

‘Warmongering Fool’ Cheney: ‘AUMF Repeal Without Comprehensive Replacement Is Dangerous’

The neoconservative congresswoman, whom Trump has called a “warmongering fool” on multiple occasions, said on the House floor, “AUMF repeal without comprehensive replacement is dangerous, misguided, and ignores the security challenges facing our nation.”

“This legislation removes a critical tool used by previous administrations – Republican and Democrat – to defeat terrorist threats originating in Iraq,” said the Wyoming representative who was ousted from House leadership in May for constantly criticizing former president Donald Trump and supporting his second impeachment.

Cheney once again finds herself on the opposite side of Trump, who constantly spoke out about the dire need for America to end its “forever wars” and “endless wars” abroad.

House Voted 268 To 161 To Repeal AUMF

Cheney said Thursday that repealing AUMF “would send a message of weakness to our adversaries and allies alike” and that it “is not part of a comprehensive replacement providing adequate authority to combat terrorists or those who want to do our nation harm is a vote to leave America exposed to our enemies.”

But the House still voted 268 to 161 to remove the authorization.

Every Democrat voted in favor, despite twice voting to block Trump’s efforts to withdraw troops from Afghanistan just last year – working in tandem with Cheney.

Republican Rep. Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District disagreed with Cheney, saying in a statement that the vote to repeal AUMF was a “matter of basic constitutional hygiene and a small but significant step forward in reasserting Congress’s war powers authorities.”

Massie: ‘Saddam Hussein’s Regime Was Defeated In 2003. 2003, That’s 18 Years Ago’

“The 2002 AUMF is no longer relevant and its repeal would not impact ongoing operations in the Middle East,” Gallagher added.

Republican Rep. Thomas Massie said, “Saddam Hussein’s regime was defeated in 2003. 2003, that’s eighteen years ago.”

“Obama declared the Iraq War ended in 2011, but the AUMF was never repealed,” Massie added. “It gives a blank check to any current or subsequent administration to keep American soldiers in Iraq indefinitely, and puts us at risk of getting into another war.”

Task Force Concludes Cuomo’s Nursing Home Policy Did Lead To More Nursing Home Deaths

The NYSBA (New York State Bar Association) Task Force on Nursing Homes and Long-Term Care determined that Governor Andrew Cuomo’s executive order policy forcing nursing homes to take on patients that had tested positive for COVID-19 led to more deaths.

The report is a devastating indictment on the Democrat governor’s policies and their effects on the elderly in the Empire State during the early stages of the pandemic.

The task force, according to the New York Post, defined Cuomo’s directive as “unreasonable” in both its “absoluteness” and the length of time it was left in effect.

While they were unable to put a particular number on that effect, the NYSBA was able to determine “there are credible reviews that suggest that the directive, for the approximately six weeks that it was in effect, did lead to some number of additional deaths.”

RELATED: Report: Cuomo Being Investigated For Retaliating Against Sexual Harassment Accusers

Task Force: Cuomo Nursing Home Policy Led To More Deaths

Governor Andrew Cuomo issued an executive order on March 25th which forced nursing homes to take on patients that had tested positive for coronavirus.

The order prohibited nursing homes from requiring incoming patients “to be tested for COVID-19 prior to admission or readmission.”

Cuomo’s directive remained in place for over six weeks while well over 15,000 senior citizens succumbed to the virus.

The New York Democrat and his top aides have also been accused of hiding the data on those nursing home deaths and stripping numbers from DOH (Department of Health) reports.

For months Cuomo touted a DOH report which contained an explicit quantifier that the order forcing the care facilities to take on COVID-positive patients was “not a driver of nursing home infections or fatalities.”

The NYSBA task force determined that was not accurate.

“The Department of Health issued a report in 2020 in which it argued unconvincingly that the admission of 6,326 COVID-positive residents during the period the Health directive was in effect had no impact,” the report states.

“That cannot be the case, and has now been shown not to be the case.”

RELATED: Fox News’ Janice Dean: My Family Didn’t Have To Die, Cuomo’s Policy Helped It Happen

Cuomo’s Order Cost Lives

The report that Governor Cuomo’s executive order for nursing homes did lead to more deaths is a small measure of vindication for Fox News meteorologist and author Janice Dean, who has argued for months that his policies led to the deaths of more seniors than in any other state.

She argued in an op-ed column for USA Today over the summer that very point.

Dean’s in-laws were the unfortunate victims of COVID-19, where nursing homes in New York played a significant part.

“At first we didn’t blame anyone for my in-laws’ deaths. This is a pandemic, after all,” she wrote. “Then we learned about a policy that put them in danger.”

Dean’s column featured a sub-heading arguing, “My family didn’t have to die.”

Governor Cuomo is under investigation and impeachment inquiry for a slew of scandals, not the least of which involves the nursing home executive order and subsequent effort to obstruct justice by hiding the numbers.

They include:

  • Numerous sexual misconduct allegations including a police report involving forcibly groping an aide.
  • Bullying and threatening fellow lawmakers and members of the media.
  • Under investigation for a $5.1 million book deal profiting off the pandemic by having aides write and edit portions using state resources.
  • Provided priority COVID-19 testing for his family and associates, also allegedly using state resources.

“It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out admitting over 9,000 Covid patients into nursing homes for 46 days would increase the amount of deaths, but if a 242-page report from the NY State Bar association proves [Cuomo] lied and people died, so be it,” Dean tweeted.

The Fox News personality has suggested many people in the Cuomo administration belong in prison over the nursing home scandal.

“I really feel like he should go to jail,” Dean has said. “And all these people surrounding him that covered this up for so many months, they should go to jail.”

The NYSBA report relied in part on a study by the Empire Center for Public Policy that tied “several hundred and possibly more than 1,000” deaths of nursing home residents to Cuomo’s executive order.

There is now a straight-line correlation between his policies and the deaths of the elderly during the pandemic. The question is, will anybody in New York state do anything about it?

Hillary Clinton, Who Called Trump An ‘Illegitimate President,’ Says Casting Doubt On Election Is ‘Doing Putin’s Work’

Hillary Clinton, who frequently cast doubt on the results of the 2016 election, says doing so regarding the 2020 presidential contest is “doing Putin’s work.”

Clinton made the unsurprising remarks in an interview on MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe.’

“We never thought we had to worry about domestic enemies,” the former First Lady lamented. “We never thought we had to worry about people who didn’t believe in our democracy.”

“Sadly, what we’ve seen over the last four years and particularly since the election is that we have people in our own country who are doing Putin’s work,” she claimed.

Clinton suggested some lawmakers may be doing the Russian President’s bidding either wittingly or unwittingly.

“They are doing his work to sow distrust, to sow divisiveness, to give aid and comfort to those in our country who, for whatever reason, are being not only disruptive but very dangerous,” she alleged.

RELATED: Bitter Hillary Implies Trump Stole Election and Will Steal It Again

Clinton Claims Republicans Are Doing Putin’s Work

President Biden is in Geneva on Wednesday meeting with Vladimir Putin for the first time since winning the 2020 election.

Clinton, further along in the interview, also suggested former President Trump “elevated” Putin at a joint press conference with the Russian leader in 2018.

“The problem is that Trump has elevated him. Trump, from the very beginning, even when he was running in 2016, lifted up Russia,” she claimed.

“So it’s difficult to say let’s turn the clock back and go from where I thought we were when I left being secretary of state,” added Clinton. “I never thought I would see some of what we saw during the four years of the Trump administration.”

RELATED: Biden Unveils Plan To Combat ‘Domestic Terrorism’ And ‘Insider Threats’ In The Military

Doubts On The 2016 Election

Nobody has cast more doubts on elections than the Democrats, of course.

House Democrats, for example, tried objecting to the certification of electoral votes for Donald Trump in 2017 on 11 separate occasions.

Democrat Stacey Abrams, credited with helping deliver a victory for Joe Biden during the last presidential cycle, claimed Trump was an “illegitimate” President.

“Anytime a leader is afraid of people speaking their minds and making their selections, he is illegitimate and should not hold office,” Abrams argued last April.

President Biden made the same assertion, agreeing with a woman at a campaign rally who said Trump was an “illegitimate president in my mind.”

“I absolutely agree,” Biden replied.

Former president Jimmy Carter claimed in June of 2019 that Trump didn’t actually win the election.

“I think a full investigation would show that Trump didn’t actually win the election in 2016,” Carter said without evidence. “He lost the election, and he was put into office because the Russians interfered on his behalf.”

Does Clinton think Carter was also doing ‘Putin’s work’?

Hillary Clinton, though, has flip-flopped on the matter of dangers in casting doubt on an election and whether it amounts to doing ‘Putin’s work’ more than anybody.

When the media had anointed her victor in 2016 leading up to the actual vote, Clinton said any failure to accept the election results is “a direct threat to democracy.”

She then proceeded to refuse to accept the election results.

In a speech for the Democratic National Convention (DNC) this past summer, she also implied that Trump could “steal” the 2020 election.

“Don’t forget: Joe and Kamala can win by 3 million votes and still lose — take it from me,” Clinton griped. “We need numbers so overwhelming Trump can’t sneak or steal his way to victory.”

In an interview just prior to the 2020 election, Clinton again suggested Trump did not win the 2016 election through legitimate means.

“Remember, as I said, he lives with this specter of illegitimacy,” she said. “He knows more about how he got really elected than we still do. Hopefully, we’ll learn more in the years ahead.”

“I was the candidate that they basically stole an election from,” Clinton alleged.
