Trump Reelection Chances May Be Hurt By Falling Economy

American voters usually make their election decisions on two factors, peace and prosperity. The first looks good for the president. The second is getting worse by the day.

Yes, I know, it is not his fault. This is true and irrelevant. Voters vote on results and Trump has always asked to be judged on results. If too many are out of work in the fall, if too many businesses close, if the national economic psychology is trending downwards then the president may have a rough going.

He is partially saved by the fact that Joe Biden is a weak candidate. You could call him a speech-impaired Dukakis. He will not know how to strike the right tone between sorrow over the virus and indignation at the president’s supposed shortcomings. Biden will just spew, and incoherently at that.

True, an economic rescue package is on the way and the president is doing a good job in fighting the virus. But $1,000 per person will go quickly, may be a headache to distribute, and will be long forgotten by November. The virus should be mainly over by the fall and the president is liable to get much credit for his handling of the crisis.

MORE NEWS: Hillary Clinton blasts Trump for his handling of coronavirus outbreak

But will that credit overshadow an empty pocket or the loss of a job and wages? Not likely.

The president has a sharp political team and they are no doubt factoring this in to their reelection campaign. They will emphasize the probable low virus mortality rate compared to other countries and argue the president deserves votes for saving the nation from possible mass death.

They will have a point. But they will not be starting from the halcyon time of only a couple of months ago, when exoneration over impeachment and a booming economy made reelection look like a sure thing.

Trump still has an advantage because the jury is out on the economy in the fall. If it comes back guilty, if unemployment is sharply up and GDP is down, if stocks are low compared to a year ago, if business closures are numerous, then the sentence of the electoral jury may not be to the president’s liking.

Republican Senator Announces Plans To Subpoena Consulting Firm Linked To Hunter Biden And Burisma

Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ron Johnson (R-WI) just announced plans to subpoena a consulting firm that has links to Hunter Biden and the Ukrainian energy company Burisma for records that could show a possible conflict of interest.

This comes one month after Johnson announced plans to subpoena a former consultant with the firm Blue Star Strategies, but he ended up deciding to instead subpoena the firm directly for the records. He will also ask for interviews with the firm’s founders so he can ask questions about Burisma, which was one of their clients.

“This subpoena is in furtherance of the Committee’s ongoing work to address the many unanswered questions about potential conflicts of interest and the extent to which representatives of Burisma—including officials at Blue Star—used individuals with close personal connections to high-level officials within the Obama administration to gain access to and potentially influence U.S. government agencies,” Johnson wrote on Thursday in a letter to notify the committee’s Democratic Ranking Member Sen. Gary Peters of Michigan, according to Fox News.

In his subpoena for Blue Star Strategies, Johnson will request records dating back to January 1, 2013, pertaining to their work with Burisma, on whose board Biden was a member. Though he had initially planned to subpoena just one consultant from the company, he later learned this person was “bound by a non-disclosure agreement,” which led him to decide to subpoena the entire company.

MORE NEWS: If he wins the Democratic nomination, can Joe Biden make it to November?

In his letter, Johnson acknowledged that Peters had not even wanted him to subpoena one consultant.

“Your letter stated your concern ‘that the United States Senate and this Committee could be used to further disinformation efforts by Russian or other actors,’ and asked that the Committee receive defensive briefings ‘specifically regarding [the Blue Star consultant],” Johnson wrote. “Over the last several weeks we have had a number of bipartisan meetings and briefings to discuss the subpoena and address the concerns of Committee members. During the course of these discussions, the suggestion was made by both Democrat and Republican members of our Committee that we should issue a subpoena directly to the source of the documents relevant to our work: Blue Star.”

Johnson went on to say that he feels that “appropriate course of action at this time is to accommodate that request.”

After joining the board of Burisma in 2014, Biden reportedly helped connect them with Blue Star. His work with Burisma ended up being at the center of Democrats’ impeachment effort against Donald Trump, as they claimed the president had pressured Ukraine to investigate his business dealings with the company as a way to hurt his father, former Vice President Joe Biden.

It’s clear that this Biden and Burisma thing is a complete mess, and the American people deserve to know the truth about what really went on there. If they really have nothing to hide, they should have no problem complying with the subpoena and letting everyone know exactly what is happening.

Colbert Discusses Coronavirus: Says He Wishes We Could Go Back To When ‘We Were Looking Forward To Impeaching Trump’

March 12, 2020

Late night television host Stephen Colbert has had enough of living in the dark times surrounding the coronavirus. On his show last night, Colbert reminisced about the “good old days” when he and his fellow Democrats were “looking forward to impeaching” President Donald Trump.

“A few months ago was great, it was the holidays, I was drunk on eggnog, I was watching Cheer, I was falling in love with Baby Yoda,” Colbert said to open his show on Thursday night. “I was looking forward… I was looking forward to impeaching the president, remember that feeling? We’re going to get you, Trump! John Bolton is going to testify and Republicans are going to do the right thing!”

Republican senators ended up dashing the dreams of Democrats when they voted to acquit Trump in his impeachment trial.

MORE NEWS: If he wins the Democratic nomination, can Joe Biden make it to November?

“2020 has done the impossible… and made me nostalgic for 2019,” Colbert added, as his typically liberal audience laughed and cheered enthusiastically. Colbert should enjoy this reaction while he can, because starting next week, his show and all other late night television programs will not be filmed before live studio audiences because of the coronavirus, according to Breitbart News.

Colbert’s monologue serves as proof that Democrats were lying when they tried to pretend that they were taking pleasure out of trying to impeach Trump. Nancy Pelosi and her fellow Democrats tried to pretend that the impeachment effort was a somber affair for them, but they could barely contain their excitement over it.

While it comes as no surprise that a liberal like Colbert, who takes pleasure out of bashing Trump on a nightly basis, would fondly reminisce about the impeachment witch hunt against the sitting U.S. president, it doesn’t make it any less despicable. This is the kind of hate that Trump has had to deal with every day since he was elected, which makes all that he has accomplished for this country since taking office all the more impressive.

We can’t wait to see Colbert’s reaction at the end of 2020, when Trump is reelected for a second term. I wonder what year Colbert will be reminiscing about then.

Bernie: I Would Not Close the Border to Protect Americans From Coronavirus

Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders insisted he would not shut down the border in order to protect Americans from the coronavirus.

He made the comments during a town hall hosted by Fox News.

President Trump has touted his early efforts to stop the spread of coronavirus in the United States by declaring a public health emergency in January and imposing travel restrictions from China.

When asked by host Bret Baier if he would consider similar steps or even going a step further to keep the American people safe, Sanders admitted he would not.

Open Borders Insanity

“If you had to, if you had to, would you close down the borders?” Baier asked during the town hall.

“No,” Sanders replied. “I mean, what you don’t want to do right now — we have a president who has propagated a xenophobic, anti-immigrant sentiment from before he was elected.”

What that false assertion has to do with restricting access to people who might have been infected with the coronavirus is anybody’s guess.

In a sane world, refusing to close the borders to head off a possible health crisis would be disqualifying for a presidential candidate.

Continues to Portray Border Security as Racist

Sanders insisted he would take a more scientific approach in dealing with the coronavirus outbreak.

“What we need to do is have the scientists take a hard look at what we need to do,” he suggested. “There are communities where the virus is spreading. What does that mean? It may mean self-quarantining. It may be not having public assemblies.”

What if it means shutting down the border and ports of entry temporarily?

“Let’s not go back to the same old thing,” the Vermont senator continued. “Isn’t it interesting that a president who has been demagoguing and demonizing immigrants, the first thing that he could think about is closing down the border?”

What’s interesting is that, like a programmed robot curmudgeon, Sanders’ first response to everything is ‘keep the borders open.’ Let travel from any country flow freely. Even at the expense of the American people and their safety.

Bernie Would Have Allowed Coronavirus to Spread

Over a month ago, while Democrats and the media were consumed with the impeachment charade, President Trump took decisive action to combat Coronavirus.

He established a Coronavirus Task Force and suspended all travel from China while establishing a quarantine effort.

Sanders believes such actions are racially motivated, an absurdity at best.

“Because of all we’ve done, the risk to the American people remains very low,” President Trump said.

With the media panicking over the cases that have been reported thus far, imagine how bad things would have been if Trump followed Bernie’s advice and refused to enact some form of travel restrictions.

GOP Rep. Elise Stefanik Suffers ‘Vicious, Vile, Sick Attack’ In Grocery Store

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), who made a name for herself during the House impeachment trial by staunchly defending President Donald Trump, was just viciously harassed and attacked while shopping at a grocery store.

Stefanik, who represents New York’s 21st district, took to Twitter to post a photo of a hateful note that was left on her windshield by a liberal who had recognized her.

“Rot in hell FASCIST PIG,” the note read.

“My husband and I went grocery shopping this morning before district events and enjoyed chatting with constituents throughout the store,” Stefanik wrote. “This vile anonymous note was left on our car.”

MORE NEWS: Hillary Clinton pushes false story that Trump called coronavirus a ‘hoax’

Republicans have long been warning Democrats that encouraging their followers to target GOP officials in public is a very bad idea. Maxine Waters (D-CA) infamously told her supporters in July of 2018 to confront Trump supporters whenever they see them in public.

“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up,” Waters said, according to The Blaze. “And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere. We’ve got to get the children connected to their parents.”

Stefanik has asked Tedra Cobb, her Democratic opponent, to condemn the attack against her.

“As an elected official, I understand that respectful & passionate policy disagreements are foundational to our democracy. But this note is just sad hatred,” Stefanik said. “We are praying for the author. This hateful rhetoric should be publicly condemned by my opponent immediately.”

Cobb, however, refused to condemn the attack, only describing the note as “damaging and wrong.”

“I think it’s time you joined me in pledging not to name call in this campaign. I’d love to work with you to set a better example for #NY21,” Cobb said.

MORE NEWS: Vintage magazine cover of go-go boot-clad Melania kissing firefighter has Internet aflame

Stefanik responded by pointing out that Cobb didn’t condemn the attack.

“One is a policy difference (you have voted numerous times to raise taxes) the other is a vicious, vile, sick attack,” she said. “They are not the same and voters know it.”

Democrats and the mainstream media have vilified conservatives to the point where crazed liberals think it is acceptable to attack them in any way they see fit. Attacks such as this one are only escalating, and if Democrats don’t start condemning them soon, something really bad is likely going to happen to a Republican.

Please keep all Republican lawmakers in your thoughts and prayers.

Hillary Clinton Pushes False Story that Trump Called Coronavirus a ‘Hoax’

March 5, 2020

Hillary Clinton appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” last night to promote her upcoming Hulu documentary “Hillary.”

While on the show, she took the opportunity to push the false story that President Donald Trump called the coronavirus a “hoax.”

“I wish I could say I was surprised,” Clinton said when asked how the Trump administration has responded to the coronavirus outbreak.

“This is something that you can’t just insult or pretend is a hoax, despite how hard [President Trump’s] trying.”

“You really have to listen to people who actually know something,” the failed 2016 presidential candidate continued.

“There’s a terrible shortage of testing kits. They need to make sure state and local health departments, governors, mayors, and others, have the resources they need with hospitalization. There’s a lot of work to be done and if he will quit calling it a hoax and actually let the experts do their job, I think that’ll work out better.”

This comes as the media has been lying for days by claiming that Trump called coronavirus a “hoax,” which isn’t what he said at all. Politico was one of the first outlets to push this myth, publishing a story titled “Trump rallies his base to treat coronavirus as a ‘hoax.’”

“President Donald Trump on Friday night tried to cast the global outbreak of the coronavirus as a liberal conspiracy intended to undermine his first term, lumping it alongside impeachment and the Mueller investigation,” reporters Nancy Cook and Matthew Choi wrote.

In reality, Trump never called coronavirus a hoax. Instead, he called the Democrats’ efforts to politicize the virus a hoax.

“‘Hoax’ referring to the action that they take to try and pin this on somebody, because we’ve done such a good job,” Trump explained this week, according to Breitbart News. “The hoax is on them, not—I’m not talking about what’s happening here; I’m talking what they’re doing. That’s the hoax.”

Clinton was also lying when she claimed that the Trump administration is not doing enough to fight coronavirus. Dr. Marc Siegel, professor of medicine at New York University, argued this week that Trump has been doing more to fight coronavirus than previous presidents in his position.

RELATED: Coronavirus a bioweapon?

“I’ve been handling these emerging contagions for about 20 years now, and I have to tell you, I’ve never seen one handled better,” said Dr. Siegel.

It’s sad that Clinton is still not over her loss to Trump in the presidential election. One would think that after three years, she would have moved on with her life by now, but that is clearly not the case as she still enjoys speaking out against Trump like it’s her job.

Despite what Clinton and her fellow bitter liberals say, most Americans know that Trump has taken care of us over the past three years in a way that few other presidents would be able to. There’s no reason to doubt that Trump will overcome the coronavirus just like he’s overcome every other challenge as president.

Perhaps Clinton is just mad because, deep down, she knows she could never be as good a president as Trump.

Pelosi Calls Herself ‘Lioness,’ Insists Trump Is ‘Most Dangerous Person’ In American History

In a glowing interview with Variety magazine, Nancy Pelosi hammered President Trump as the most dangerous person this country has ever seen.

The Speaker of the House also presented herself as a “lioness,” determined to protect the children from this dangerous President.

“I have real problems with this president because he doesn’t tell the truth, he doesn’t honor the Constitution and he’s harming children,” she said unironically as a person who doesn’t tell the truth, honor the Constitution, and harms children

“My whole message is about children,” the staunch abortion advocate claimed. “Anybody who hurts children — I’m a lioness. Watch out.”

Pelosi then engaged in her trademark hyperbole over the ‘dangers’ of President Trump.

“We have the most dangerous person in the history of our country sitting in the White House,” the California Democrat suggested, advising Democrats to turn out and vote to defeat him.

The Children

Odd how Pelosi, the ‘lioness’ protecting children, is the current leader of a Democrat party that supports abortion right up until the moment of birth.

Also odd, how she didn’t utter a word about children being separated from adults who were using them as a means to cross the border when Barack Obama was doing it.

Some ‘lioness.’

It’s all for show, of course. Pelosi isn’t concerned about the children so much as she’s concerned about the next election.

“People thought Hillary would win so they didn’t all turn out,” she said of the 2016 election. “Nobody could possibly think that somebody like Donald Trump could be elected president of the United States.”

RELATED: Pelosi Frets: End of the World If Trump Wins in 2020

All For Show

Furthering the argument that everything she says and does is politically calculating, Pelosi admitted to Variety that her State of the Union stunt this year was, in fact, well thought out in advance.

Though previously claiming she tore up her copy of President Trump’s speech spontaneously, Variety reports that “the decision to rip up her copy was not impulsive.”

“He used the Congress as the backdrop for a reality television show when he had absolutely no reality in his speech,” Pelosi complained.

Speaking of losing touch with reality, the top Democrat has previously fretted that this “dangerous” man winning in 2020 would mean the end of “civilization as we know it.”

What will really sadden Pelosi is the knowledge that it was her push for impeachment that is going to help Trump get re-elected.

Eric Trump Says His Dad Would ‘Destroy’ Joe Biden in a Debate

On Fox & Friends Monday, President Donald Trump’s son Eric Trump said his Dad would “destroy” Joe Biden in a presidential debate.

Fox News host Steve Doocy said, “You know who did not help Joe Biden? Nancy Pelosi and the people in the House and the Senate regarding impeachment because as they pushed the Trump narrative regarding impeachment, ultimately, every time they would bring that up, then Hunter Biden, Burisma, all that stuff, came up to essentially ding Joe Biden.”

Eric Trump Slams Democrats

Eric Trump chimed in, “At the same time, Nancy Pelosi was keeping — the Democrat Party — was keeping all the senators in Washington, D.C., trying to give Biden a leg up in Iowa and other states, right?”

“They were all working on the nonsense impeachment sham,” the younger Trump continued. “They tried to hurt Bernie the entire time. They have tried to hurt him the entire time. It’s going to be interesting.”

The Younger Trump Blasts Bernie

Eric Trump then buried Bernie Sanders chances against his father.

“Would you rather run against Bernie?” the President’s son continued. “A socialist, a whackjob, who wants 85 percent taxes, right? I mean, the guy took his honeymoon in the USSR. [He said] Venezuela should be the model society for America to run on.”

Then he set his sights on Biden.

‘My father would destroy that guy on the debate stage’

“Or would you rather run against the guy who you showed two seconds ago, who said his son was the attorney general of the United States, who said he was running for Senate?” Trump said.

“My father would destroy that guy on the debate stage,” Eric Trump declared.

And isn’t he right?

Nominating Joe Biden Might Be the Worst Mistake Dems Ever Made

The forever gaffe-prone Biden has committed more flubs in the 2020 Democratic primaries than likely at any other time in his career. He will be easy for an always sharp Donald Trump to walk all over in the general election. Even Bernie Sanders keeps his wits about him better than Biden.

As the Democratic establishment moves to solidify party centrists around the former Vice President, history may prove that nominating Joe Biden was the worst mistake the party ever made.

Bloomberg Called Out During Interview For Lying About Trump’s Coronavirus ‘Hoax’ Comments

Michael Bloomberg was called out by reporter Scott Pelley during a ’60 Minutes’ interview for spreading a lie about President Trump’s comments on the coronavirus.

Pelley, a CBS News reporter, asked Bloomberg for his thoughts on the coronavirus emergency. The Democrat candidate for President responded by spreading his own hoax.

“I find it incomprehensible that the president would do something as inane as calling it ‘a hoax,” Bloomberg falsely claimed.

Pelley stepped in to correct Bloomberg, who didn’t even bother to admit he had misspoken.

“He said the Democrats making so much of it is a Democratic hoax, not that the virus was a hoax,” Pelley explained.

To rehash – Bloomberg lied about the President’s comments, then accused Trump of being “inane,” “ignorant,” and “irresponsible.”

Pot, meet kettle.

Democrat Hoax

Fascinating, isn’t it, that President Trump would call hysteria over the coronavirus generated by Democrats and the media a hoax, and they would proceed to prove his point by flat-out lying about what was said.

Here’s the reality.

Trump told supporters at a campaign rally that the resistance party would do everything in their power to use the coronavirus emergency as a means to take him down – similar to the Russia collusion witch hunt.

“Now, the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus,” Trump said.

He added, “One of my people came up to me and said, ‘Mr. President, they tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia.’ That didn’t work out too well. They couldn’t do it. They tried the impeachment hoax. And this is their new hoax.”

Not Mini-Mike’s First Lie, Probably Not His Last

Having a reporter call you out in the middle of a ’60 Minutes’ interview for being a liar isn’t the first time Bloomberg has been embarrassed on the national stage.

It’s not even the first time a normally Democrat-cooperative media has called him out for lying about the coronavirus itself.

Just last week, the Associated Press fact-checked Bloomberg along with other Democrat colleagues for distorting the truth about the Trump administration’s preparedness in dealing with coronavirus.

“There’s nobody here to figure out what the hell we should be doing,” Biden said during a debate. “And he’s defunded — he’s defunded Centers for Disease Control, CDC, so we don’t have the organization we need. This is a very serious thing.”

Not so, according to the AP.

“Bloomberg is repeating the false allegation in a new ad that states the U.S. is unprepared for the virus because of ‘reckless cuts’ to the CDC,” the AP reports.

“Trump’s budgets have proposed cuts to public health, only to be overruled by Congress, where there’s strong bipartisan support for agencies such as the CDC and NIH,” they added. “Instead, financing has increased.”

Cher Spreads Fake News Story Alleging That Trump Described Coronavirus As A ‘Hoax’

Singer and actress Cher blatantly spread fake news about President Donald Trump on Saturday when she perpetrated the false story that he had called the coronavirus a “hoax.”

Cher took to social media yesterday to share an NBC News story that had the misleading headline: “Trump calls coronavirus Democrats’ ‘new hoax.'”

The story itself makes it clear that the headline takes what Trump said out of context, as he really used the word “hoax” at a recent rally to describe the way that Democrats have politicized coronavirus and turned it into a weapon against him.

This did not stop Cher from sharing the story alongside one of her typical nonsensical captions in which she called Trump “nuts,” among other things.

It was at a rally in Charleston on Friday that Trump made the comment that has since been twisted by the mainstream media, who are desperate to make it look as if the president called coronavirus a hoax. When looking at the full statement Trump made, however, it makes a lot more sense.

“Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus. They’re politicizing it,” Trump said, according to Breitbart News. “We did one of the great jobs, you say, ‘How’s President Trump doing?’ They go, ‘Oh, not good, not good.’ They have no clue. They don’t have any clue. They can’t even count their votes in Iowa. They can’t even count!”

“One of my people came up to me and said, ‘Mr. President, they tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia. That didn’t work out too well. They couldn’t do it,” he added. “They tried the impeachment hoax. That was on a perfect conversation. They tried anything. They tried it over and over. They’ve been doing it since you got in. It’s all turning. They lost, it’s all turning. Think of it, and this is their new hoax.’”

The next day, Trump confirmed that when he used the word “hoax,” he was talking about Democrats’ attempts to blame coronavirus on him.

“No, hoax referring to the action that they take to try and pin this on somebody,” Trump said at a White House press conference. “That’s just a continuation of the hoax, whether its the impeachment hoax or the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax. This is what I’m talking about.”

Democrats have been working overtime to try and find some way to blame coronavirus on President Trump, and they’ve stooped to sharing clear fake news just to try and make this story fit their narrative. Only someone as small-minded as Cher would fall for this one, however, as the average American sees right through what the media is doing.
