Ivanka Trump Blasts CNN For ‘Disgusting’ Segment Mocking Her Father’s Supporters

By PopZette Staff | January 28, 2020

Ivanka Trump just let loose on CNN over a segment on Don Lemon’s show in which a panel viciously mocked Trump supporters.

Ivanka tweeted the clip from Saturday night early this morning along with the caption, “You consistently make fun of half the country and then complain that it is divided. The arrogance, mocking accents and smug ridicule of this nation’s ‘Real Elites’ is disgusting.”

The clip shows Lemon, CNN contributor Wajahat Ali, and ex-Republican strategist Rick Wilson using offensive southern accents to mock Trump supporters. Wilson went so far as to claim that Trump and his “credulous boomer rube” would not even be able to find Ukraine on a map.

Lemon laughed so hard as his colleagues brutally made fun of the intelligence of Trump supporters during the segment that he struggled to hold back tears.

“Donald Trump’s the smart one – any y’all elitists are dumb!’” Wilson said in a heavy southern accent, before Ali added, “‘You elitists with your geography and your maps – and your spelling!’”

“‘Your math and your reading!’” Wilson continued. “‘All those lines on the map!’”

President Trump himself also fired back at Lemon, slamming him for allowing this nonsense to happen on his program.

The president is right to point out that Lemon’s ratings are terrible, as his show finished 36th overall in the cable news show rankings for 2019, according to The Hill. It is also the sixth highest rated show on CNN, a network that is known to be struggling in the ratings in general.

It’s sad that a liberal news network like CNN thinks so little of the millions of Americans who voted Trump into office that they find it acceptable to mock them in this way. All they’re accomplishing with segments like this one is alienating more viewers, and pushing more Americans towards voting for Trump later this year.

Top Republican Leader Sends Stern Message to GOP Senators Thinking About Caving To Democrats On Impeachment

During a Monday night interview by CBS News, Congressman Mark Meadows warned Republican Senators that if they side with Democrats and break with President Donald Trump during the impeachment trial, they could face “political repercussions.”

Meadows Says John Bolton Shouldn’t Testify

“Congressman Meadows, would you support a White House effort to block a Bolton testimony if he were called as a witness?” CBS News host Norah O’Donnell asked Meadows.

“You know, I’ve been one of the few that believe that Secretary Pompeo and Secretary Perry could have testified when it was over here in the House,” Meadows replied. “I’m also one that believes that when you get close to the president, whether it be his chief of staff or his national security advisor, you have to allow for that free flow of conversation back and forth, where ideas can be shared. And so I do believe that executive privilege should be invoked on that and that we shouldn’t hear from Ambassador Bolton.”

Believes Republicans Who Sided with Democrats Would Face ‘Political Repercussions’

“Do you think Republican senators face political repercussions if they break with the president?” O’Donnell asked.

“Yeah, I do,” Meadows said. “I mean, listen, I don’t wanna speak for my Senate colleagues. But there are always political repercussions for every vote you take. There is no vote that is higher-profile than this.”

Meadows is not wrong. As the impeachment circus becomes more and more absurd, whether or not some moderate Republicans decide to stick with President Trump or side with the Democrats is a decision that will rightly define them.

Trump is a Republican president of particular significance, as Meadows rightly pointed out last week.

Desperate Dems

If any Republicans decide to go against Trump, Meadows is right that they will likely pay a political price for it. The Democrats have had it in for Trump since day one, and this Ukraine impeachment angle is only the latest ploy of many. When this doesn’t work, there will be more.

You can expect Democrats to be all in on each of these desperate gambits. Republicans should have sense enough to avoid them.

Or else.

Trey Gowdy Unloads On Adam Schiff’s ‘Wildly Stupid’ Trial Strategy

Fox News contributor and former South Carolina congressman Trey Gowdy hammered impeachment manager Adam Schiff for his “wildly stupid trial strategy.”

Gowdy made the comments during the third day of President Trump’s impeachment trial, opining on whether or not Schiff’s argument that the American people can not decide the next election is a valid one.

“We are here today to consider a much more grave matter, and that is an attempt to use the powers of the presidency to cheat in an election,” Schiff announced.

“For precisely this reason, the President’s misconduct cannot be decided at the ballot box—for we cannot be assured that the vote will be fairly won.”

“Adam’s Ordinarily Not That Stupid But…”

Fox News host Bret Baier queried Gowdy on what he called ‘the big question’

“Is the way that Adam Schiff said it, do voters never get to trust the vote and only lawmakers can decide what the line is, that a president can get kicked out of office for?” Baier asked.

Gowdy didn’t hold back, starting off with a ‘but’ that you simply knew was going to leave a mark on Schiff.

“Yeah, Brett, Adam’s ordinarily not that stupid but when you tell the jury, the Senate, on one day that they’re corrupt and then you tell the American people they cannot be trusted to pick the commander in chief, that’s just a wildly stupid trial strategy,” he replied.

Schiff’s Threat to Democracy

Gowdy was quick to point out that Democrats – including Schiff – were up in arms when then-candidate Donald Trump suggested he might not accept the results of the 2016 election.

“It’s hard to believe the nominee of a major party won’t commit to accepting the election result,” Schiff tweeted at the time. “Unfit for any office.”

Now it seems, it’s perfectly okay for Democrats to suggest an election might be rigged.

“Remember when Donald Trump, as a candidate, began to question the reliability of the vote?” Gowdy asked Baier.

“Well Adam Schiff has done exactly the same thing,” he continued assuming a Democrat’s voice. “American people, we don’t trust you to factor this in in November, so we need a hundred senators to decide that.”

Gowdy reiterated, “It is a wildly stupid trial strategy, only surpassed by Jerry Nadler’s insulting of the jury two days ago.”

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff has been a favorite target of Gowdy’s over the years.

Last year, he referred to Schiff as a “wannabe senator” for opposing investigation of Obama-era spying on the Trump campaign.

And, despite contending in this interview that “Adam’s ordinarily not that stupid,” he has in the past referred to him as “consistently wrong,” “deeply partisan,” and joined Fox News personality Tucker Carlson in mocking Schiff as “an irresponsible buffoon.”

Rand Paul Invites Trump as Guest to Attend Impeachment Trial

Senator Rand Paul has extended an invitation to President Trump to attend the impeachment trial in the Senate, allowing him an in-person look at the “partisan charade.”

The Kentucky lawmaker tweeted a picture of a ticket admitting the “bearer to the Senate gallery.”

Paul added, “I heard [President Trump] would like to attend the impeachment trial. Mr. President, would love to have you as my guest during this partisan charade.”

The President shared Paul’s tweet but made no indication that he would accept the invitation, which would perhaps rank as the greatest and most entertaining +1 in political history.

Partisan Charade

President Trump also shared a post by Rand Paul in which the Senator explained that Impeachment Manager Adam Schiff’s buffoonery is uniting the Republican party.

“The more we hear from Adam Schiff, the more the GOP is getting unified against this partisan charade!” Paul tweeted.

Trump shared the message adding the simple caption: “True!”

Meanwhile, Schiff is doing everything in his power to prove them right, suggesting during the impeachment trial that Democrats are driven by an effort to stop President Trump from winning re-election.

Claims Election Will Be Rigged

Schiff’s presentation to the Senate that the President should be removed from office included a suggestion that the 2020 election would be rigged otherwise.

Trump, you see, must be impeached as the only means to ensure “the [2020] vote will be fairly won.”

I’m old enough to remember when Democrats thought claims of a rigged election were a ‘direct threat to democracy.’

In fact, it was Schiff himself who tweeted in October of 2016, when smug Democrats all thought Hillary Clinton was going to cruise to victory, that Trump was “unfit for any office” if he could not accept the results of an election.

By Schiff’s own standards it is he – not President Trump – who should be removed from office.

The President thus far has not answered Paul’s invite, but it’d be a hell of a show if he were able to look Schiff in the eye while the Democrat continues to lie to the American people.

Tulsi Gabbard Announces $50M Lawsuit Against Hillary Clinton

By John Wesley Reid | January 22, 2020

Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard is suing Hillary Clinton on charges of defamation. Last October Clinton referred to Gabbard as a “Russian asset” during an interview.

Aan excerpt from the lawsuit reads:

“Clinton lied about her perceived rival Tulsi Gabbard…She did so publicly, unambiguously, and with obvious malicious intent. Tulsi has been harmed by Clinton’s lies — and American democracy has suffered as well.”

The two have sparred publically over social media during Gabbard’s campaign. The day after Clinton’s interview remarks, Gabbard fired back on Facebook:

“Great! Thank you, Hillary Clinton. You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out from behind the curtain.

From the day I announced my candidacy, there has been a concerted campaign to destroy my reputation. We wondered who was behind it and why. Now we know — it was always you, through your proxies and powerful allies in the corporate media and war machine, afraid of the threat I pose.

It’s now clear that this primary is between you and me. Don’t cowardly hide behind your proxies. Join the race directly.”

Gabbard has been described as a moderate Democrat, which for some had made her less favorable, while more favorable with others.

Hillary didn’t get elected in 2016, but that hasn’t stopped her from intervening in the 2020 election. On top of her remarks about Gabbard, she has also attacked her 2016 colleague, Bernie Sanders, calling his supporters “misogynistic.”
