‘He’s trying to get a rise out of us’: Watch Elaine Chao respond to Trump’s racist taunts

It’s no surprise that when Donald Trump has no argument to make, he resorts to racism and xenophobia. Trump's most recent target has been former U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao. He has been relentlessly attacking Chao and her husband, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. While Chao initially stayed quiet in regards to the attacks, she responded back to Trump last week after Trump repeated a racist nickname he has used for her before, the Courier-Journal reported.

In an interview with CNN, Chao called the nickname a "racist taunt" and said he's "trying to get a rise out of us.”

"He says all sorts of outrageous things, and I don't make a point of answering any one of them," Chao said.

The response follows several incidents when Trump was racist towards Chao, including a Sept. 30 post on Truth Social in which he referred to Chao as "Coco Chow."

"Is McConnell approving all of these Trillions of Dollars worth of Democrat sponsored Bills, without even the slightest bit of negotiation, because he hates Donald J. Trump, and he knows I am strongly opposed to them, or is he doing it because he believes in the Fake and Highly Destructive Green New Deal, and is willing to take the Country down with him?" Trump said.

He continued: "In any event, either reason is unacceptable. He has a DEATH WISH. Must immediately seek help and advise from his China loving wife, Coco Chow!"

While it's not new that Trump is making racist attacks on individuals—he’s done that throughout his role in the public eye—the attacks follow Trump’s broken relationship with Chao’s husband.

According to the Courier-Journal, McConnell’s relationship with Trump broke at the end of Trump’s presidency when the Kentucky Republican said Trump is "practically and morally responsible for provoking" the Jan. 6 riots. While McConnell voted to acquit Trump of inciting the insurrection in a 2021 impeachment trial, his previous comments clearly rubbed Trump the wrong way.

But instead of just targeting him, Trump took to targeting his wife, who moved to the U.S. from Taiwan as a child.

Commenting on the language Trump used towards her, Chao said Thursday it's "helpful if the media does not repeat" the racist comment he has been making.

"I mean if it were the N-word or any other word, the media would not repeat it," she said. "But the media continuously repeats his racist taunt."

Trump continues to rant about McConnell and Chao. His latest attack includes claims that they both have a conflict of interest with China.

Trump's racist obsession with Elaine Chao is really something. Almost every day now he mentions her. https://t.co/umwqV6b3bt

Comments questioning their interest in China follow a pattern. In another social media post in August, Trump not only called Chao "crazy" but accused McConnell of trying to get “rich on China.”

Seems like Trump will never learn the value words have. Despite studies showing that several of his comments, including referring to the novel coronavirus as the “China virus,” have encouraged attacks on Asian Americans, Trump continues to perpetuate his hateful rhetoric.

School board forgets to vet newly sworn in school board member—uncover he was at the Jan. 6 rally

Jefferson Parish, the largest school district in Louisiana, must be desperate for board members.

Why in God’s name would they swear in a contractor from Metairie who has openly bragged about being at the “Stop the Steal” rally in D.C. on Jan. 6, called those who opposed the insurrection that followed—and pointed to former President Donald Trump as the inciter-in-chief—as “traitors,” and blamed teachers for “the fall of our young people in this country”?

Rafael Rafidi, who was sworn in during a special meeting on Wednesday, was obviously not very well-vetted for his new role.

According to Nola.com, seven of the nine board members voted for Rafidi, while board member Ricky Johnson voted against him and Simeon Dickerson abstained; the next day, Dickerson voted for Rafidi’s removal and wants Rafidi to resign.

“I actually watched this guy take an oath to the Constitution, the very Constitution that he tried to overthrow just a year ago—the irony of it,” Dickerson told The Daily Beast. “He attended the insurrection and he marched on the Capitol.”

All it would have taken was a quick look into Rafidi’s social media to see what a complete and utter dumpster fire he was.

In Feb. 2021, New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu tweeted his praise for Sen. Bill Cassidy for voting to impeach Trump. Rafidi replied, calling  Sen. John Kennedy "an embarrassment" for voting against impeachment.

“Go f--k yourselves," Rafidi tweeted. And in another tweet, he called Cassidy a "piece of s—t" and Landrieu a "f-----g traitor.”

Although it isn’t clear from any of his social media whether Rafidi entered the Capitol on Jan. 6, on Jan. 13, he did tweet-brag about his time at the rally.

"I was there, heard the entire speech, and walked peacefully with thousands singing God bless America and praying on the way to the capital. What's true now for sure is the FIX IS IN! And it's all of you in the media and government. What a shame!"

And long before the pandemic forced teachers into a virtual and unwieldy position of teaching from home, in 2018, Rafidi was attacking them on social media.

"Teachers are the fall of our young people in this country. No values, no work ethic, and just suck as much as you can from those that work hard. Good job,” he tweeted.

“I know some hard-working teachers in Jefferson Parish that bust their tills every day,” Dickerson told The Daily Beast. “It’s a direct slap in the face and he’s unfit to serve as a school board member. This is not what Jefferson Parish represents and this is not what a school board member represents.”

If all that isn’t enough, Rafidi has a serious racist streak. He recently tweeted his criticism about the NFL playing “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” also known as the Black National Anthem.

Take note: the school district he’s been sworn into, according to its website, serves roughly 50,000 students—about 38% of its student population is Black.

“This guy can do more damage in six months than all of us can do in eight years,” Dickerson told The Daily Beast. “He’s bad for the progression of race relations in Jefferson Parish.”

Hillary Clinton Calls Capitol Riots ‘Result Of White-Supremacist Grievances,’ Agrees Trump Should Be Impeached

Hillary Clinton claims the Capitol riots were the “the tragically predictable result of white-supremacist grievances fueled by President Trump” and supported calls for his impeachment.

The comments come in a published op-ed at the Washington Post.

In addition to calling for the President’s impeachment, Mrs. Clinton also demanded any Republican lawmakers who objected to the certification of electoral votes be forced to resign.

“Removing Trump from office is essential, and I believe he should be impeached,” she writes.

“Members of Congress who joined him in subverting our democracy should resign, and those who conspired with the domestic terrorists should be expelled immediately,” Clinton added.

Hillary Clinton: Trump Should Be Impeached But It Won’t Remove White Supremacy From America

Clinton went on to suggest that even Trump’s impeachment would not result in “white supremacy” being eradicated.

“That alone won’t remove white supremacy and extremism from America,” she stated.

You have to hand it to the Democrats – no matter how misinformed their talking points are – they just keep dishing out those talking points with total disregard for reality.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also made racial allegations against those who stormed the Capitol, stating they chose “their whiteness” over Democracy.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama ignored the fact that a white, unarmed 14-year Navy veteran was shot dead as a result of the protest, and instead claimed those involved were treated differently because they weren’t black.

Her husband echoed the same sentiment.

President-elect Joe Biden chimed in saying “that if it had been a group of Black Lives Matter protesting … they would have been treated very, very differently than the mob of thugs that stormed the Capitol.”

Prominent Democrat figures took a mostly peaceful protest about election integrity and turned it into a Klan rally. That’s how little these people think of Trump supporters.

Clinton’s Advice on Dealing with Extremists

Clinton proceeded to outline her thoughts on how incoming President Biden should deal with “white supremacists and extremists.”

“There are changes elected leaders should pursue immediately, including advocating new criminal laws at the state and federal levels that hold white supremacists accountable and tracking the activities of extremists such as those who breached the Capitol,” she wrote.

Yes, the woman who made the phrase “superpredator” in referring to young African-Americans famous, who said they needed to “bring them to heel,” and who was mentored by the late Senator Robert Byrd, a recruiter for the KKK, has some thoughts on dealing with racists.

Clinton also celebrated Big Tech’s efforts to shut the President down.

“Twitter and other companies made the right decision to stop Trump from using their platforms, but they will have to do more to stop the spread of violent speech and conspiracy theories,” she said.

The Clinton op-ed is little more than the bitter ramblings of a person who has been sulking over her election defeat in 2016.

There is no evidence that the Capitol protests were fueled by race. There is no evidence that President Trump, who made multiple pleas with protesters to “go home” and “go in peace” is responsible for the violence that took place.

Yet, the Washington Post runs the disinformation campaign while Big Tech platforms help share it. The Democrat state-run media knows no lows with which they are unwilling to sink.

MSNBC Host Joy Reid Claims Tight Presidential Race Shows America’s ‘Great Amount Of Racism And Anti-Blackness’

MSNBC host Joy Reid launched a truly vile attack on America on Wednesday night, claiming that the fact that the presidential race between Joe Biden and Donald Trump is so close shows just how “racist” our country is.

Reid Attacks America As Racist

“I think partly because we knew the red wave was a thing, the red mirage, I should say, we all knew it was coming,” Reid told Rachel Maddow. “In the moment, it’s aggravating.”

“And I think partly — and I said this last night — I do think it’s because we’ve been reporting for five years, Rachel, about Russia … undermining our national security, the impeachment, the racism, the Nazis, all of it and then COVID laying on top of it, [it] felt like a repudiation was coming,” Reid continued.

“I think even though we intellectually understand what America is at its base, right?” she added. “That there is a great amount of racism, anti-blackness, anti-wokeness, this idea that political correctness is some scheme to destroy white America, right?”

Reid Doubles Down

Not stopping there, Reid continued to shame America like it’s her job, which it arguably is given the fact that she works for MSNBC.

“We know what this country is, but still part of you, I think part of your heart says, you know what, maybe the country’s going to pay off all of this pain, the children that were stolen, with a repudiation,” she said.

“And as the night wore on and I realized and it sunk in, OK, that’s not happening, we are still who we thought, unfortunately,” Reid added. “It’s disappointing. And I emerged from this disappointed.”

Reid’s Racist Attack On Clarence Thomas

This came after Reid was hit with backlash for calling black Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas “Uncle Clarence” in an apparent reference to Uncle Tom.

Also on Wednesday, Reid said that if election litigation makes it to the Supreme Court, “do any of you guys trust Uncle Clarence and Amy Coney Barrett and those guys to actually follow the letter of the law? No.”

Her full comment was that it is:

“not exactly clear that we can trust Amy Coney Barrett and Kavanaugh and these others not to be just like Bill Barr. And so, I think what scares people is that if…somehow they manage to stumble into the Supreme Court, do any of you guys trust Uncle Clarence and Amy Coney Barrett and those guys to actually follow the letter of the law? No.

I mean, it is a completely politicized Supreme Court that you can’t just trust that they’re going to do the right thing. Now, so far the courts have actually been pretty good. So, we’ll see.”

Reid can claim that America is “racist” all she wants to, but it’s clear that the real racist here is Joy Reid herself.

Adam Schiff Says ‘No Racist Appeal’ Or ‘Political Dirty Trick Beyond The Pale’ For Trump

House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff told MSNBC on Wednesday that President Donald Trump would stoop to any level to win the election, saying there was “no tactic beneath him, no bigotry too great, no racist appeal too much, no political dirty trick beyond the pale.”

Guest-host Ali Velshi said to Schiff, “A lot of people just don’t like Donald Trump. They forget the impeachment was about a dirty election trick. A dirty election trick is something you and I talked about I think a week ago with the intelligence that you have had that you like Americans to find out about, but you can’t right now.”

Schiff: We have ‘a president of the United States who will break any law, rule, abuse of power of his office, who will cheat…’

“This is another one,” Ali Velshi said. “If he’s helping Kanye West to run with the aim of defeating Joe Biden, falls into the same basket.”

Schiff replied, “Well, it does. It falls into the basket of a president of the United States who will break any law, rule, abuse of power of his office, who will cheat, and no strategy is beneath him.”

“You know, this idea of recruiting a third party candidate that you hope will siphon votes from your opponent, it is an old ploy, but it is among the dirtiest of the dirty tricks,” Schiff said. “You never wanted to be associated with it. But here it is all out in the open.”

Schiff accuses Trump of racism: ‘It is not even a dog-whistle anymore. It is a whistle that everybody can hear’

“The president’s son-in-law dispatched to meet with Kanye,” Schiff continued. “They’re not even hiding it.”

The Democrat added, “You know, Barbara Boxer, who was just wonderful on your show, talked about the dog-whistle in terms of the suburban households. It is not even a dog-whistle anymore. It is a whistle that everybody can hear.”

Schiff claims ‘Republicans in the Congress won’t say a word’ about Trump supposedly destroying the Republican Party

Schiff went on, “This is where the president has descended to low, no tactic beneath him, no bigotry too great, no racist appeal too much, no political dirty trick beyond the pale. And the terrible thing is the Republicans in the Congress won’t say a word.”

“They are watching their party destroyed,” he said. “They’re watching the ethics of the party leader just tear their party asunder, and they don’t have the guts to do anything or say anything about it.”

“That’s what enables this,” Schiff insisted.

Democrat Senator Mazie Hirono Flat-Out Calls Trump Supporters ‘White Supremacists’

Senator Mazie Hirono pulled no punches in an interview with MSNBC stating supporters of President Trump are “anti-immigrant” and “white supremacists.”

Hirono (D-HI) began the segment by claiming the President has been a failure in three aspects:

  • The pandemic – Caused by China with a response slowed down by the impeachment charade.
  • The economy – Caused by the pandemic which had previously been roaring along at historic rates.
  • Systemic racism – Something that only exists in bad individuals and is by no means systemic.

She blamed Trump’s “enablers” for covering up these so-called failures, before really laying into his supporters.

Trump Fans Are ‘White Supremacists’

If there was any question, every Democrat and some Republicans think this way about you because of your support for the President. Hirono just said it out loud.

“We should be dealing with the economic crisis,” Hirono said. “And we should be dealing with the racism that is in our country to which the president speaks to because he has a base of supporters who are very anti-immigrant and white supremacists.”

“That’s who, that’s the, a lot of his base and that’s who he speaks to so the divisiveness continues,” she stammered. “So, we should be focusing on things that we need to focus on.”

The MSNBC host, Chris Jansing, as you would expect, offered no pushback on the outlandish claim.

RELATED: Harmeet Dhillon Wants To Know Where The Outrage Was When Obama Commuted Sentence Of A Terrorist

Made the Claim Before

This isn’t exactly a new claim from Hirono.

In discussing harassment of Republican lawmakers incited by Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), Hirono called it activism and justified it due to “white supremacy.”

“Well, this is what happens. They — because when you look at white supremacists and all of that, this is what is coming forth in our country,” alleged Hirono.

“There is a tremendous divisiveness in our country,” she continued. “But this is the kind of activism that occurs. And people make their own decisions.”

There’s divisiveness in our country due to Democrats, unable to debate policies and platforms intelligently, constantly stooping to the race card in order to placate their low-information voters.

Buttigieg: 63 Million People Might Have Voted for Trump But All of Them Are Still Racist

2020 Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg has said time and again that he believes Americans who voted for President Donald Trump are racist. On Sunday, CNN’s Jake Tapper asked Buttigieg if he regretted saying this.

Does Pete Buttigieg Really Believe 63 Million Americans are Racist?

“Republicans have been seizing, including in a new Trump ad, a statement you made that ‘Anyone who supported this president is, at best, looking the other way on racism.’ You’ve also said that on my show,” Tapper explained. “That’s almost 63 million Americans who you’re painting with a pretty broad brush. Do you regret saying that at all?”

Buttigieg responded without hesitation.

RELATED: Team Trump Airs Super Bowl Ad Touting President’s Important Criminal Justice Reform

“No. I’m very concerned about the racial division that this president has fostered,” the former South Bend, Indiana mayor explained. “And I’m meeting a lot of voters who are no longer willing to look the other way on that, looking for a new political home.”

Polls Show Trump Approval is Up with Minority Voters

If Buttigieg believes Trump and his supporters represent racism, a host of recent polls might bely that argument.

An Emerson poll in early December put Trump at 35 percent with black voters and 38 percent with Hispanics.

“If you add in Asian voters at 28 percent approval,” notes Emerson’s director of polling Spencer Kimball, “our number is very close to the new Marist poll,” which finds Trump’s approval at 33 percent among non-white voters. Trump received 34 percent approval among black voters in a recent RasmussenReports poll, and a CNN poll puts Trump’s approval among non-white voters at 26 percent.

Rush Limbaugh said of these polls, “We’ve got three polls today showing Donald Trump at 30 percent or higher with black voters. We’ve got Emerson, we’ve got Rasmussen and we’ve got Marist!”

‘You can’t dispute the fact that African-Americans have been benefiting from President Trump’s policies’

“You can’t dispute the fact that African-Americans have been benefiting from President Trump’s policies,” said Katrina Pierson with the Trump campaign. “Four years ago, the president asked the black community, ‘What do you have to lose;’ now we are thinking, ‘Imagine what we stand to gain!’”

No doubt the unemployment rate falling to a 50-year-low has something to do with Trump’s rising popularity with non-white voters.

Buttigieg can continue to call Trump supporters racist all he wants. He’ll be lucky to get anywhere near the Democratic nomination–much less the only poll that counts in November.
