GOP Tops Democrats in Fundraising Haul

The impeachment drama may be annoying in some ways and a national calamity in others. But it certainly hasn’t dulled the fundraising acumen of the president and the Republican National Committee.

They pulled off their best ever non-election year by smashing their former numbers for December.

The GOP raised $26.5 million in the last month of 2019. That’s a $6 million gain on their November number and their best December ever. The increase is likely caused by a backlash effect from the presidential impeachment.

In 2019 the Republicans and Trump together raised $463 million, with an end of the year cash on hand balance of $194 million and $0 debt. The RNC raised $241 million of that amount.

The Democrats were $6.5 million in debt as of November of 2019.

Democrat contenders for the top also raised steep amounts, by Dem standards, in the last quarter of 2019. Biden raised $22.7 million. That puts him below Buttigieg at $24.7 million. Warren only raised $21.2 million. She was bested by the party cash leader, Bernie Sanders, at $34.5 million. For socialists, Sanders’ minions seem to have found at least enough money to pay for his Quixotic run for the White House.

These numbers may seen like a lot to you. But as a former political campaign director I can tell you a modern national campaign can go through $100 million before the voting even starts. No? Look at Michael Bloomberg’s media purchases just up to this point, before the first voting starts in Iowa.

He has already well surpassed that mark.

What’s it spent on? Mostly media, logistics, and personnel. Television ad buys don’t come cheap in media markets like New Jersey that boast really only two markets, New York City and Philadelphia. Los Angeles, Miami, and Chicago political ad prices, even sometimes the cable buys?

Fougedaboudit.

It also takes a small army of drivers, advance staff, stage crews, digital nerds, oppo jocks, pollsters, media lounge lizards, graying honchos, and a host of others to run a modern presidential campaign. And they all want to be fed, housed when on the road, flown or bused about in a timely manner, and paid semi-well.

In return they will usually work like dogs seven days a week without much sleep. They will run on caffeine and hate and their only solace is that somehow, some way, the coiffed idiot they have hitched their star to doesn’t politically auger into a mountain and they end up with a cushy staff job at some obscure DC federal agency.

These men and women are the true deciders of America’s political fate, because if they drop the ball their clients do too and history is changed.

Barbra Streisand Endorses Adam Schiff For President

It’s always unfortunate when a celebrity who is well respected for their talents in the entertainment industry ruins their image by spouting off publicly about their ignorant political views. This is sadly exactly what the legendary singer and actress Barbra Streisand has done in recent years, as she now seems to prefer bashing President Donald Trump to performing.

Streisand once again showed the world that she’s nothing more than an ignorant member of Hollywood’s liberal elite on Friday, when she took to Twitter to say that she believes the anti-Trump crusader Adam Schiff (D-CA) would make a “great president.”

“Adam Schiff is so impressive. His knowledge of the law… his passion… his articulateness. His sincerity!” Streisand tweeted. “He speaks the truth and would make a great president.”

It should be noted that Schiff is one of the main people responsible for wasting the time and money of American taxpayers with this impeachment farce. Schiff knew full well that Trump would never actually be impeached by the Republican-controlled Senate, yet he decided push forward with the impeachment trial anyway just because of his own personal hatred for the president.

Unlike Streisand, most Americans see right through Schiff, as recent YouGov data shows that just 27 percent of Americans have a positive view of him. Since Trump’s approval rating is currently at 39 percent, it appears that Schiff’s chances of beating him in a presidential election would be slim, even with Streisand’s endorsement.

This serves as a reminder of just how out of touch Streisand and her fellow members of the Hollywood elite are with the struggles of the working class Americans that Trump has been helping. As someone who has been overpaid by the entertainment world for decades, Streisand never has to worry about being impacted negatively by the economic policies of a president. That’s why she is so quick to hop on the radically leftist bandwagon: she doesn’t have a horse in this race!

The more ignorant Hollywood celebrities like Streisand try and take Trump down, the more the rest of us are reminded why we need him in office more than ever.

Trump Wins Witness Vote 51-49 – Acquittal Looks Solid

The Democrat House managers spent all day pathetically talking into the wind. But the decisions of Senators Alexander and Murkowski tipped the scales in a 51-49 vote against calling witnesses in the Senate impeachment trial of President Donald Trump. With that, acquittal for the president is likely relatively close at hand.

Though Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer could still propose a series of amendments, all debatable for two hours, to hold up the verdicts for some time.

It is reported that negotiations are going on right now to finish the trial next week at the very latest. The Democrats may want the extra time to make Trump give the upcoming State of the Union address still under threat of impeachment. At that event they very well may try to embarrass the president in some way.

There is a also rumor the Democrats may eventually boycott the remaining votes by walking out of the Senate, only voting “present”, or some other kind of spoiled loser maneuver.

Senators Romney and Collins bucked the GOP and the president by voting for witnesses. Susan Collins will not pay a big price for her rebellion in moderate Maine. But in conservative Utah Mitt Romney could very well see a primary challenge.

A state legislator in Utah has already proposed a measure allowing for the recall of U.S. Senators, that’s how mad the Utah GOP is at Mittens for selling out his party and country.

Democrats wasted all day calling for the same witnesses they had every change to call during the House hearings they ran last month. But they decided not to call them then, waiting for the higher PR platform of the Senate to pull out their bag of tricks.

It was an error, as they don’t control the Senate. However, the Democrats hoped a combination of lies, media pressure, and threats would make GOP Senators come around and vote to extend the trial by weeks and then yet again vote to remove the president from office.

The plan crashed and burned on Friday, the smoldering embers lighting the way to presidential victory.

Chaos Erupts On ‘The View’ As Joy Behar And Meghan McCain Go At It Over Impeachment Witnesses

The ABC talk show “The View” went off the rails once again on Friday morning when cohosts Joy Behar and Meghan McCain got into yet another heated argument over Donald Trump’s impeachment trial.

Behar kicked the show off by voicing her frustrations over the fact that the impeachment trial is likely about to end.

“The impeachment trial could be over by tonight,” Behar said. “And Republican Senator Lamar Alexander, who has a deciding vote on letting witnesses testify basically said that Trump is guilty but ‘so what, who cares.’”

The notoriously liberal cohost went on to say that if Alexander were to vote for witnesses, he “would save democracy, a small thing. But no, he doesn’t want to.”

Behar also accused Alexander of trying to “cover” Maine’s Republican Senator Susan Collins so that she can vote “yes” and then be reelected.

“But she’s a hypocrite and a liar and I don’t trust her as far as I could throw her,” Behar exclaimed.

McCain, however, was not having any of it.

“The counterargument that Republicans are going to make is that it wasn’t a wholly bipartisan trial,” McCain calmly explained. “What I got from Alexander is he said President Trump, what he did was unethical, it just wasn’t impeachable. And I knew you would be very upset, quite frankly, Joy.”

“I am upset. I’m upset for the country,” Behar fired back, already coming unglued. “I feel that people in this country and other democracies have to watch it. We’ve taken democracy for granted because we’ve lived in it for so long and have so many beautiful things because of it. And it’s going down the toilet because of one party.”

McCain was quick to defend the GOP, saying, “it’s not just Republicans,” and adding that it was Democrats who have been “bungling” the case against Trump. She also pointed out that some moderate Democrats may even vote to acquit Trump after the way the trial has been handled.

“I think to blanket it as all Republicans, there were Democrats involved as well,” McCain said as Behar tried to protest. “I know you’re upset, but I’m just trying to explain the other side.”

“God help America and democracy,” an exacerbated Behar said.

Behar should really be focusing her frustrations on Democrats right now, as it is they who have wasted the time and money of American taxpayers with this ridiculous impeachment stunt. They knew from the start that Trump would never be impeached in the Republican-controlled Senate, yet they chose to push forward with this farce anyway.

Shame on Democrats for their witch hunt against Trump, and shame on liberals like Behar for letting them get away with it.

Bernie Sanders Has Already Drafted ‘Dozens Of Executive Orders’ To Bypass Congress If Elected President

Disturbing campaign documents have just come to light showing that 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders’ staffers have already begun preparing “dozens of executive orders” so that he can bypass Congress in the first days of his presidency, should he win the election in November.

The documents, which were obtained by the Washington Post, show that Sanders’ has executive orders prepared on a wide range of issues that include the environment, immigration, and the economy.

Sanders’ team has prepared over a dozen options for reversing President Donald Trump’s immigration policies, with one of them being the immediate halting of construction on the border wall. Another potential executive order would remove the limit for the number of refugees that could be admitted to the United States, while a third would reinstate Barack Obama’s DREAMER program, which granted legal status to undocumented immigrants who were brought to this country as children.

This is just the beginning of the executive orders that Sanders has planned. One order legalizes marijuana in the entirety of the United States, and another would allow the U.S. to import prescription drugs from Canada. Sanders would also declare climate change to be a national emergency as soon as he took office, and he would ban the export of crude oil.

This shows that Sanders is anticipating that Republicans will keep control of the Senate come November, and that he has no intention of letting this stop him from achieving his radical agenda.

Another document obtained by the post was written by Faiz Shakir, Sanders’s campaign manager; Warren Gunnels, a senior adviser; and Josh Orton, the campaign policy director, who all urge him to use the executive orders to undo the many “wrongs” of Trump’s presidency.

“We cannot accept delays from Congress on some of the most pressing issues, especially those like immigration where Trump has governed with racism and for his own corrupt benefit,” they said.

These documents make it all the more terrifying that Sanders has taken the lead in Democratic primary polls, according to The Blaze. This man clearly thinks that he is above the law, and he would destroy America as we know it if he is able to get to the White House.

Now, more than ever, it’s important that we ensure Trump is reelected in 2020, if for no other reason than to keep this nutcase Sanders out of power.

Democrats Show Frustration at Losing to Trump, Again

Two moments on Thursday were indicative of reality slowly, finally, grabbing hold of the Democrats and bringing them face to face with their impending defeat in the impeachment trial of President Trump.

The first was when Senator Elizabeth Warren called the credibility of Chief Justice John Roberts into disrepute in a question she posed from the floor of the Senate.

The question he had to read from his perch as presiding officer was, “At a time when large majorities of Americans have lost faith in government, does the fact that the chief justice is presiding over an impeachment trial in which Republican senators have thus far refused to allow witnesses or evidence contribute to the loss of legitimacy of the chief justice, the Supreme Court, and the Constitution?”

Roberts sighed and was visibly peeved. He must have thought: Really?! From her?!

For a lying race hustler like Warren to impugn this guy was too much even for some Democrats, many of whom who looked thunderstruck from the floor of the Senate.

Adam Schiff quickly took the podium and complimented the Chief Justice. Why did she do it? Pure bitterness. She’s in her own little fuhrerbunker as her campaign and this impeachment collapse around her.

So she does the only thing she has proven adept at, she opens her yap and, this time indirectly, says something crashingly dumb.

The second incident was even better, schadenfreude wise.

The last question of the night was upon the Democrats and Schiff was preening and getting ready to answer it. Just after Roberts reads it and Schiff starts to rise, Nadler jumps up and rushes the podium.

Schiff calls, “Jerry, Jerry, Jerry,” trying to call him back and take the closing moment for himself. But no. Nadler holds fast and, with GOP open laughter permeating the Senate and Schiff sitting there like a gutted fish, Nadler throws a tantrum a second grader would be embarrassed to have engaged in.

And thus the night ends as Schiff is denied his final chance at lying.

Now, that’s entertainment!

The Coronavirus: Is it Time to Panic?

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ve probably read all the front-page headlines about a deadly outbreak that started in China and has been working it’s way into other areas of the world despite great efforts to contain it.

In fact, last Thursday the World Health Organization declared it a “global health emergency,” and at the press of a button, it seems, has started quite the world-wide panic…

But what are the facts? Should you be concerned, and just how deadly is this new virus?
Well, as it turns out this new apocalyptic contagion is about as dangerous as the common flu.

Dr. Trish Perl, chief of infections diseases and geographic medicine at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center says, “So far the mortality rate for the virus is about the same as a bad year of the flu.”

So basically it’s just a different strain of the common flu?
Yeah, pretty much!

According to the CDC, the worst symptoms associated with the virus include Fever, Cough, and possible Shortness of breath. Other symptoms that could arise are runny nose, headache, cough, sore throat, fever, and maybe a general feeling of being unwell.

What you won’t hear from the news, or many official health sources, is information about how long the symptoms last. I find that rather interesting because the coronavirus does not kill the vast majority of the people it infects.

Telling people that the virus is similar to the common flu and will most likely put you in bed for a week and then you’ll be fine, could calm the panic that they’ve started and that might be a little too anti-climatic for them.

If you read closely you’ll see first world countries are at little risk. World health officials have noted several times that the highest risks were for countries with less sophisticated health care systems.

Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organization commented at a recent press conference, “Our greatest concern is the potential for the virus to spread to countries with weaker health systems, and which are ill-prepared to deal with it.”

I don’t mean to take anyone’s health issues lightly, especially something like a virus that has taken human lives, but I also think it’s important to understand the reality of the situation. And the fact is, if you are healthy and have a normal functioning immune system there is no need for panic.

The coronavirus has claimed about 140 lives at the time of this writing. A life is a life, and I send my prayers and condolences to their loved ones.

What should you be worried about?
Even though 140 lives lost is a tragedy, it’s important for us to keep a perspective and understanding of what the most dangerous health risks are and what we should be doing to avoid them. …If you live in an industrialized country like America, chronic disease is the real epidemic!

This year alone worldwide, heart disease will claim 17.9 million lives, cancer 9.6 million lives, and diabetes 2.2 million lives. Those are scary numbers!

The epidemic of chronic disease is nowhere near being contained. Currently 1.9 BILLION adults are overweight or obese. These people are at great risk for developing heart disease, cancer and diabetes if they don’t already have it.

I don’t mean to frighten you, but the most dangerous diseases are already here in this country. They are not spread by air-borne transmission, but by sedentary lifestyle, poor diet, and lack of exercise.

Thursday Night, the Hour Grew Late For Democrats in More Ways than One

As news of the Bolton and Schiff videos, clips that destroyed their witness argument, closed in on the Democrats the president’s opponents got stranger and more rabid. They knew they were likely to lose the whole match on Friday and they began to lash out at the GOP legal team, themselves, and at their real enemies, the voters of the United States of America.

Developments included:

GOP attorney Pat Cipollone made the argument that if a partisan impeachment like this was to remove the president from office for the vague charge of “abuse of power” then all future presidents, GOP and Democrat, would be subject to the same type of witch hunt.

Elizabeth Warren, in a question, tried to impugn the credibility of Chief Justice John Roberts. Roberts sighed after he read the question and even Adam Schiff defended Roberts during his response to the question.
The Democrats made repeated attempts to classify any negative information as “conspiracy theories”, even going as far as to label the legal record and established facts as such.When they didn’t do that, when repeatedly shown the record, they just merely punted the question and went back to their tired redundant talking points.
The GOP team made the point that numerous people, including Joe Biden, thought there was no need for witnesses in the 1998 Clinton impeachment trial.
Democrats consistently fell into GOP traps when it came to the CIA informer. When a GOP senator hinted at Ciaramella, a member of the Democrat legal team would whine about it, thus talking about the subject and using up their time. Which is exactly what the GOP team wanted them to do.
The Democrats began to insinuate that the American people are not fit to decide the presidency. Thus the Dems had the duty to it for them through impeachment. We’ll see those clips again.
As Schiff and his pals watched the day grow later, the pressure started to get to them in a very obvious manner. We heard more about “Russian propaganda” and “baseless smears.”The GOP legal team was hitting nerves and it was showing in the words and demeanor of all the Democrats in the room.

In the last question, and we’ll have more on this later, Jerry Nadler bolted out of his seat and stole the podium from Adam Schiff. Schiff seemed stunned by the move and tried to call after Nadler, as Nadler made his way to the podium. Nadler ignored him and proceeded to throw a tantrum.

The trial resumes, perhaps for the last day, Friday afternoon.

Democrats Begin to Meltdown as Their Loss Looms

There was lots of drama on the Senate floor on Thursday as it began to dawn on Democrats that their years long campaign to drive President Trump from office was falling apart.

Developments during the day included:

In his opening remarks Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell sent a subtle message to his fellow GOP Senator from Kentucky, Rand Paul. He told him to back off on CJ John Roberts. Roberts had the day before squelched a Paul question that named CIA informer Eric Ciaramella.Rand Paul didn’t listen and did the same thing in the first GOP question of the day. Roberts cut him down. Paul was upset and walked off the floor of the Senate. But not much later in the day Roberts allowed almost the same question, just not from Paul and not naming Ciaramella by name. At such, the Democrats, most notably Schiff, went into their victim act and fake indignation shtick.
The GOP team focused on the dichotomy of Democrat statements that contended that keeping the president in office was an “urgent” threat to national security and the nation itself, yet they delayed moving ahead for a month.

Possible swing votes Democrat Senators Manchin of West Virginia and Jones of Alabama signaled they would be voting against Trump at least on witnesses. If Schumer doesn’t give them a waiver, for state political viability, to vote for acquittal he is insane. Another possible swing, GOP Senator Lamar of Tennessee, will stay with the president. That should hold the GOP defections to 2-3, not the 4 the Democrats need to win. It could be over by Friday night, possibly Saturday morning.
The Democrats attempted to use the words of Professor Jonathan Turley, a GOP House witness, in their Senate case. It didn’t work.
A main GOP message, well articulated by all GOP lawyers, was to implore the Senate to let the people, not impeachment, decide who inhabits the Oval Office.
Sensing victory on the general question, GOP Senator Toomey of PA dropped his one witness for each side deal.

After Democrats accused Trump of somehow cheating in the 2020 election before the first vote is cast, Trump lawyer Pat Cipollone hit them with, “Talk about cheating, you won’t even face him,” meaning they are afraid to face Trump in an election again.

Impeachment Trial Could Be Over Friday Night

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s office is reportedly saying Thursday, LifeZette confirmed this with Hill Staff, that they have the votes to prohibit witnesses in a vote Friday afternoon and that the entire trial could wrap up with a Trump win Friday night.

Smart money right now is in almost a party line vote for acquittal on both counts with one, maybe two, Democrat defections. Call it 55-45 for the president.

LifeZette has also learned that social indicators in DC, sometimes better intel than political data, show that reservations at Capitol Hill restaurants are heavy from the Hill past 7pm Friday night. Those reservations were made since noon Thursday. Also, Amtrak reservations from the Hill to destinations all over the East Coast have increased substantially since Thursday afternoon.

If this is true, and votes can change as politics is fluid on a minute by minute basis, it would be a massive personal triumph for President Trump, his legal team, and the GOP. It would give him tremendous momentum going into his reelection campaign. It would also coincide, interestingly, with Brexit Day in the UK.

Conversely it would hand the Democrats a huuuge stinging loss after years of trying to unseat Trump with every move in their playbook. This news may have filtered down to the Senate floor, as Democrat House managers are sounding more bitter and desperate as the hours drone on.

Some Democrats are even talking about another impeachment investigation and vote in the House before the November election. But House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is said to be against that. At least, right now.
