Report: New York Prosecutors Investigating Trump For Fraud Over Tax Write-Offs

According to the New York Times, prosecutors from both the Manhattan District Attorney’s office and the New York Attorney General’s office are investigating possible tax fraud by President Donald Trump.

Manhattan D.A. Cyrus Vance and New York AG Letitia James reportedly have investigators probing millions of dollars in tax write-offs that President Trump allegedly used tied to consulting fees paid to Ivanka Trump, his daughter.

Trump Org: ‘Just The Latest Fishing Expedition’

The Trump Organization has been subpoenaed by city and state prosecutors for the tax records related to the fees.

The Times notes that Ivanka Trump is not a focus of the investigations.

According to the Times. “Mr. Trump reduced his taxable income by deducting about $26 million in fees to unidentified consultants as a business expense on numerous projects between 2010 and 2018.”

The Times also reported that Ms. Trump received some of those fees.

“On a 2017 disclosure she filed when joining the White House as a presidential adviser, she reported receiving payments from a consulting company she co-owned, totaling $747,622, that exactly matched consulting fees claimed as tax deductions by the Trump Organization for hotel projects in Hawaii and Vancouver, British Columbia,” reported the Times.

Alan Garten, the Trump Organization’s general counsel, told the Times, “This is just the latest fishing expedition in an ongoing attempt to harass the company.”

“Everything was done in strict compliance with applicable law and under the advice of counsel and tax experts,” Garten added.

How many ways are they going to find to come after this president?

The move comes as multiple Democrat Congressmen have called to “prosecute” Trump for unspecified crimes.

Ivanka Trump: ‘This Is Harassment Pure And Simple’

The Democrats’ impeachment debacle was apparently just the tip of the iceberg, as even in the midst of a contentious election, state authorities are trying to drum up crimes related to President Trump’s daughter.

This is a pattern – the treatment of President Trump and his family since before he even stepped into the Oval Office.

Ivanka Trump responded to the reports late Thursday.

“This is harassment pure and simple,” Ms. Trump tweeted. “This ‘inquiry’ by NYC democrats is 100% motivated by politics, publicity and rage.”

She continued, “They know very well that there’s nothing here and that there was no tax benefit whatsoever.”

“These politicians are simply ruthless,” she finished.

Sasse pans Trump campaign’s election fraud allegations

Nebraska Republican Sen. Ben Sasse is strongly pushing back against President Donald Trump’s attempts to contest the election with lawsuits and claims of fraud, observing Thursday that Trump’s lawyers have “refused to actually allege grand fraud” in court.

Sasse’s statement was perhaps the most pointed Republican rebuttal yet to Trump’s weeks-long refusal to accept the results of the presidential election. Republicans have mostly declined to criticize Trump’s ongoing effort to overturn the election, which included a press conference Thursday in which Trump campaign lawyer Rudy Giuliani baselessly alleged “massive fraud” in Michigan.

“Wild press conferences erode public trust. So no, obviously Rudy and his buddies should not pressure electors to ignore their certification obligations under the statute. We are a nation of laws, not tweets,” Sasse said.

Later Thursday night, Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) said the Trump campaign’s pressure tactics on election officials amount to an attempt to “subvert the will of the people.”

“It is difficult to imagine a worse, more undemocratic action by a sitting American President,” Romney said. Romney was the only Republican to support removing Trump from office during his impeachment trial.

Trump is set to meet with Michigan’s GOP statehouse leaders on Friday as the state moves toward certifying election results that currently show Biden leading by more than 150,000 votes. Sasse panned Trump’s chances of overturning the result in Michigan.

“When Trump campaign lawyers have stood before courts under oath, they have repeatedly refused to actually allege grand fraud — because there are legal consequences for lying to judges,” Sasse said. "President Trump lost Michigan by more than 100,000 votes, and the campaign and its allies have lost in or withdrawn from all five lawsuits in Michigan for being unable to produce any evidence.”

Sasse was one of the first GOP senators to recognize Biden as the president-elect, but a growing number of Republicans in the Senate are starting to admit that Trump has little path to the White House. They’re also increasingly questioning the tactics that the Trump campaign is resorting to.

“They have to be able to show that proof. I haven't seen proof yet,” said Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) on Fox News Radio's "The Guy Benson Show." She said the best venue for their allegations is the courts.

Rabid GOP base now too delusional to be useful in battling incoming Biden administration

The dumbed down conspiracy-laden GOP base has been a drag on the country for more than a decade now, so it's only fitting that it is finally kneecapping the political calculus of the Republican party.

Alas, Donald Trump's true believers are so invested in the mirage that he won the election that conservative groups can't counter-message any of President-elect Joe Biden's incoming agenda without being attacked, according to Politico. The super-secret command came from Donald Trump himself as he urged everyone to ignore the incoming Biden administration as a way of delegitimizing his win. Smart.

Now conservative groups in Washington have had to forgo much of the work they would normally engage in during the transition period to a president from the opposing party. Along the way, they have been unable to message about the horrors that certain Cabinet picks might bring, unable to hire soon-to-be unemployed Trump administration officials for fear of reprisals, and unable to get conservative outlets obsessively writing about baseless voter fraud claims interested in covering any stories about Biden’s upcoming tenure.

“All of conservative media is about the recounts [and] the fraud allegations,” said a high-level employee at one conservative media outlet. “Trump is basically the assignment editor for the conservative press.”

The newfound predicament of this reality-based minority of GOP operatives in Washington is born of experience. Organizations and individuals that have made the mistake of crossing Trump’s red line have been called traitors who are feeding the "liberal media" narrative. “You definitely have a grassroots conservative movement that’s completely unwilling to discuss anything related to a Biden administration,” said an employee at one conservative nonprofit.

Deliciously, the delusional groupthink has also spilled over into the two Senate runoffs in Georgia, leaving groups helpless to warn against what a Democratically controlled Senate could mean when paired with a Biden White House.

“The winning narrative in Georgia would be that Republicans need the Senate to counter Joe Biden and [Vice President-elect] Kamala Harris when they’re in office,” one prominent elected Republican told Politico. “The problem is you can’t make that case effectively when you’ve got the president telling some of his voters, ‘Don’t worry, Joe Biden is not going to be president.’”

That cognitive dissonance has made otherwise mundane but critical organizing both fruitless and effortful. “I sent out a weekly email and mentioned something about a potential Biden administration and the fallout was ridiculous,” said an employee at one conservative nonprofit.

One area where the inability to do long-term planning could really hamper the conservative response is in combatting a series of potentially aggressive executive orders that will likely flow from the Biden administration starting on Day One. Whether Democrats manage to secure a majority in the Senate or not during the Georgia runoffs, Biden will almost surely make sweeping use of executive actions right out of the gate to overturn a number of toxic Trump remnants. Typically, those actions would meet with immediate legal challenges from conservatives who had been strategizing for months about the best legal path to blocking them. Instead, the conservative response could be delayed and even scattershot in its approach.

In fact, one of the four Senate Republicans who have actually acknowledged Biden's win is warning his colleagues that they are handicapping themselves heading into an entirely new landscape of political battles.

“Republicans can’t afford to get stuck in the denial stage of grief,” said Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska. Sasse has declared he would “crawl over broken glass" to block some of the names being floated for Cabinet positions under Biden. “We’ve got some big fights ahead, and it’d be prudent for Republicans to be focused on the governance challenges facing our center-right nation,” he added.

Imagine that—a guy who voted to acquit Trump of impeachment charges without hearing from a single witness suddenly in a spin about coddling Trump being a political liability. You reap what you sow.

Bette Midler Curses Out Kayleigh McEnany: ‘Go F*** Yourself’

Outspoken Hollywood liberal Bette Midler told Kayleigh McEnany to “go f*** herself,” after the White House Press Secretary shared news about the Wayne County Board of Canvassers’ decision in Michigan.

The board has been mired in a battle over certifying the votes in Detroit.

Midler mocked McEnany’s Harvard Law degree in a Wednesday tweet, “With all due respect, Kayleigh, go f*** yourself. IMHO, Harvard has a lot to answer for.”

The Wayne County Board Is Fighting To NOT Certify Detroit Results

Originally the Wayne County Board of Canvassers decided to not certify the results in parts of Detroit, where the poll books were unbalanced.

But the board surprised everyone with a reversal of that decision late Tuesday, unanimously voting to certify the count.

Now, with the Republican members of the board reversing themselves and refusing to certify, Kayleigh McEnany noted that board members only changed their original decision after they were accused of being racists by Democrats.

Responding to a tweet by far-left Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, McEnany wrote, “Last night the Wayne County Board of Canvassers refused to certify the election results, citing irregularities (which are documented in 234 pages of affidavits).

She added, “Then came the typical barrage of leftist threats & cries of racism from the Squad, the failed Governor, and others…”

Bette Midler Has Been A Raging Maniac For A Long Time

Midler has a long history of coming unhinged over President Trump.

After he was acquitted on all impeachment charges by the U.S. Senate in February, the Hollywood liberal let loose.

Midler rage tweeted, ““HE PINNED THIS. YOU THINK THIS IS A JOKE, DON’T YOU? IT’S NOT. HE MEANS IT.”

The maniacal tweet continued, “HE WILL CHANGE THE RULES AND HIS ENABLERS WILL LET HIM. IF HE WINS AGAIN, HE WILL RULE YOU UNTIL HE DIES, YOU DIE, OR BOTH. THEN…YOU’LL GET IVANKA.”

Midler Leveled Xenophobic Insults Against First Lady Melania Trump

In August, Midler referred to the foreign born First Lady Melania Trump as an “illegal alien.”

“#beBest is back! A UGE bore!,” Midler wrote. She can speak several words in a few languages.”

“Get that illegal alien off the stage!,” she added.

Apparently bigotry and xenophobia are okay if its a leftist using these slurs against a Trump.

Regardless of how the election turns out, President Trump has at least a month-and-a-half in office left.

Don’t expect this to be the last we hear of the sad and pathetic Bette Midler.
