Pro-McConnell PAC May Have Something To Say About Trump 2022 Endorsements

As 2022 gets closer, most Republicans know that Donald Trump plans to be an integral part of the campaign by endorsing candidates. But he may have some competition regarding which candidates have a better chance of beating Democrats.

The Senate Leadership Fund is aligned closely with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

While they are only on the opposite side of Trump in one race so far, (SLF has endorsed Lisa Murkowski) that could quickly change as the campaigns get under way.

Whose assessment will have more bite, the McConnell wing or the Trump wing?

RELATED: Trump: Why Does ‘Almost Radical Left’ Chris Wallace Still Have A Job? ‘His Ratings Are Terrible’

Possible Conflict Being Set Up

Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell, once portrayed by the media as working partners while Trump was in office, have exploded that narrative.

After McConnell blamed Trump for the Jan 6 protest at the Capitol, it became clear that a bigger crack up was in the works.

This sets up a possible interesting but risky state of affairs for the GOP.

With a 50-50 split in the Senate, and several key retirements taking place in five states, three of which might be described as fairly reliable red, Republicans want nothing left to chance with selecting candidates.

Jack Pandol, communications director for the Senate Leadership Fund stated, “As has long been SLF’s policy, we reserve the right to intervene in cases where a candidate is a clear threat to lose a seat in a general election and to protect our Republican incumbents.”

RELATED: Donald Trump And Bill O’Reilly Announce National Speaking Tour, Promise Inside Info On The Trump White House

Is McConnell Super PAC Endorsing McConnell Buddies?

Mitch McConnell stated early on what his goal for 2022 was, to get Republicans elected.

Back in February he said, “My goal is, in every way possible, to have nominees representing the Republican Party who can win in November. Some of them may be people the former president likes. Some of them may not be. The only thing I care about is electability.”

Is McConnell seeing to it that those seen as “establishment” Republicans get re-elected?

Getting Republicans elected is good, but Mitch McConnell obviously has a personal stake in the outcome of the 2022 midterms. A victory puts him back in charge of the Senate.

Murkowski, no fan of President Trump, was one of seven GOP Senators who voted to convict Trump during his impeachment trial after the Jan. 6 protest.

One Example

Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL), Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee says that the NRSC will not get involved in open primaries. NRSC’s communications director Chris Hartline said that, “The NRSC has no interest spending any time or money attacking other Republicans. We started Day 1 defining Democrats across the country as the ultra-liberal, big-spending, open borders radicals that they are.”

But there’s at least one set of circumstances, Axios points out, that SLF and NRSC may not be able to resist, such as the race in Missouri for the seat held currently by Roy Blunt.

Former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens, who resigned following a sex scandal in 2018, is a candidate for the soon-to-be-open seat being vacated by Blunt. It is candidates like Greitens that McConnell and the establishment are concerned could get an endorsement from Donald Trump.

That might be a hefty endorsement in a state Trump won last time by 15 points.

Since Axios initially published their report, the president of SLF, Steven Law, claimed that the Trump vs. McConnell angle was wrong.

Time will tell when the endorsements and donations start rolling out.

Fox News Janice Dean Slams ‘Despicable’ Cuomo Over $10,000 Per Ticket Fundraiser This Month

Fox News meteorologist and author Janice Dean slammed New York Governor Andrew Cuomo over news that he will be hosting a $10,000 per ticket fundraiser for his re-election later this month.

The event is being dubbed a “summer reception” with the governor and offers single tickets at the aforementioned price, as well as dual admission at a cost of $15,000.

“You. Can’t. Make. It. Up,” Dean seethed in a tweet sharing the report. “[$10,000] to meet the Luv Guv in person this month.”

The reference to Cuomo as the ‘Luv Guv’ is a likely jab at both he and his brother, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, who helped hype the Governor during the pandemic by playfully referring to his single status.

“I am the Luv Guv,” the Democrat said to his little brother at one point. “I’m a cool dude in a loose mood, you know that. I just say let it go, just go with the flow, baby.”

In a subsequent tweet hours later, Dean referred to Cuomo as “despicable.”

The $10,000 per ticket event does not have a specific location listed on the invitation but does indicate it will be held somewhere in New York City.

Cuomo Fundraiser In Between Multiple Investigations

The extravagant fundraiser comes as Andrew Cuomo’s political future is in turmoil, the subject of multiple investigations and impeachment inquiries.

The scandals embroiling him are wide-ranging and numerous, including:

  • Forcing nursing homes to take on COVID-positive patients.
  • Hiding the data on those deaths and stripping numbers from DOH reports.
  • Numerous sexual misconduct allegations including a police report involving forcibly groping an aide.
  • Bullying and threatening fellow lawmakers and members of the media.
  • Under investigation for a $5.1 million book deal profiting off the pandemic by having aides write and edit portions using state resources.
  • Provided priority COVID-19 testing for his family and associates, also allegedly using state resources.

Dutchess County Executive and 2018 Republican gubernatorial candidate Marc Molinaro joked that the fundraiser might well just be going to Cuomo’s legal defense fund.

Dean has been a leading voice on the nursing home scandal involving Governor Cuomo, her in-laws being the sad and unfortunate victims of COVID-19, where nursing homes in New York played a significant part.

Cuomo issued an executive order last March forcing care facilities to take in COVID-positive patients. The order was not reversed for months.

bombshell report from the New York Times in April led Dean to suggest many people in the Cuomo administration belong in prison.

The Times report indicated top aides to the Governor overruled his own health experts, blocked the release of the pandemic’s true death toll numbers at nursing homes for five months, and did so all while they were helping him write a book using state resources.

“I really feel like he should go to jail,” Dean said at the time. “And all these people surrounding him that covered this up for so many months, they should go to jail.”

Janice Dean Should Attend Cuomo’s $10,000 Shindig

Dean, along with Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin, had some ideas for Cuomo’s $10,000 per ticket fundraiser.

“Maybe a good old-fashioned protest outside this cash grab at the end of the month?” wondered Dean.

McLaughlin tweeted, “Someone should start a GoFundMe and get a ticket for [Janice Dean] … Now THAT would be interesting.”

Dean responded to McLaughlin’s suggestion saying she would “definitely call and find out where the event is.”

She later advised that Governor Cuomo, instead of holding a $10,000 per ticket fundraiser for re-election, should meet with the families of the victims of his nursing home scandal.

“I think he should meet with many of us who lost loved ones in nursing homes. But he’s a coward,” lamented Dean. “He would never show up.”

State Attorney General Letitia James, a Democrat, is also conducting an investigation of allegations that the Governor used state resources and state employees to write his book on leadership during the pandemic.

The book earned Cuomo a $5.1 million payday.

The Albany Times Union is accusing the Cuomo administration of refusing to release records involving the book.

The New York Post is reporting that Cuomo’s fundraiser is the first since being hit with state and federal investigations.

Liz Cheney Says Her Re-Election Bid Will Be ‘Referendum On The Future Of The Republican Party’

On Wednesday, former GOP conference chair and Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney said that she sees her “re-election bid as a referendum on the future of the Republican Party.”

Cheney made her comments during an interview with the Wall Street Journal’s “Women, Power and Equity” event.

Cheney: 2022 ‘Very Important In Terms Of The Future Of The Party’

Cheney said that voters are “potentially facing a choice between what she sees as traditional conservative values and loyalty to former President Donald Trump.”

She acknowledged that 2022 midterm election was going to be difficult for her, after she was booted from House Republican leadership earlier this month for repeatedly criticizing former President Donald Trump for his statements on the 2020 election.

Mrs. Cheney said the she “anticipates it’s going to be a hard-fought race.” She now also says openly she regrets ever supporting and voting for Trump.

“I really do think it’s one that will be a moment where the people of Wyoming can demonstrate to the country our commitment to the Constitution,” she said during her interview.

Cheney believes the 2022 election will be “very important in terms of the future of the party and the future of our republic.”

Cheney has at least four primary opponents so far – though she has outraised them all to this point.

Cheney Said She Refused To ‘Perpetuate The Lie’ That Trump Won The Election

Cheney was one of the ten Republicans who voted to impeach Trump during his second impeachment.

The Wyoming Republican said, “It became very clear that staying in leadership would require me to perpetuate the lie about the last election, perpetuate the big lie, perpetuate things that are dangerous.”

Polls Not Looking Good For Cheney

She told the WSJ that “she hoped Republicans would begin to rally around traditional conservative policy issues like military spending” instead of Trump in the future.

A Club for Growth PAC poll showed earlier this month Cheney with a net negative image, with an unfavorable rating at 65 percent with a net rating of -36 percent.

52  percent also said they would rather vote for her opponent, no matter who it is.

Paul Ryan Set To Be Keynote Speaker At Never-Trumper Kinzinger’s Fundraiser

Former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) will be the keynote speaker on Monday at a fundraising event for anti-Trump Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL). The event is a pricey one, according to Politico, ticket prices range from $250 to $11,600.

Kinzinger was one of ten Republicans who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump for what many critics of the former president say is his inciting of the riot that took place at the Capitol on Jan. 6.

Kinzinger, who now regularly attacks Trump, may well pay a political price for being outspoken in his contempt of the former president.

Of the ten GOP House members who voted to impeach Trump, nine, including Kinzinger, have at least one 2022 primary challenger, and the they all have the attention of The Donald.

RELATED: Marjorie Taylor Greene And Thomas Massie Throw Their House Mask Violation Warnings In The Trash

Ryan Also A Critic Of Trump

Paul Ryan left Congress in 2019 after a number of GOP House members and Senators announced they would not be seeking re-election.

While the official reasons range from running for governorships to House members running for the Senate, to the old standby of “wanting to spend more time with my family,” there is some thought that many of those incumbent House members and Senators were done with Donald Trump.

In 2016, Ryan told Republicans that they “should feel free to abandon Trump,” making it pretty clear that there was no effort to encourage Republicans to work with Trump when he took office.

Paul Ryan has also been a critic of Trump. He called efforts by Republicans to challenge electoral college votes for President Joe Biden “anti-democratic and anti-conservative.”

After the election, Ryan also said that Trump should accept the results of the 2020 election, and “embrace the transfer of power.”

Kinzinger, Other Never-Trumpers Portrayed By The Media As ‘Rebels’

Much like his colleague Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), who was recently removed from a GOP leadership position, Kinzinger is portrayed by the media as being someone who is alone in his beliefs, who is in a “its lonely at the top” position.

A February New York Times article describes him as someone who “now faces the classic challenge for political mavericks aiming to prove their independence.”

Not only is he seen by other Republicans much like Cheney, as ignoring the direction voters want to take the party in, but soon after his impeachment vote, a cousin put out a very public letter in which she says that Kinzinger had disappointed the family, and that, “You have embarrassed the Kinzinger family name!” The cousin added that she wanted Kinzinger to be “shunned.”

Kinzinger recently formed a Political Action Committee with the goal being to “reformat” the party by emphasizing low taxes, defense, and social conservatism. The one thing not mentioned however, is an America First Agenda.

RELATED: Donald Trump, Ivanka, Don Jr. Will Be In ‘Orange Jumpsuits,’ Michael Cohen Says

Clear Lines Have Been Drawn

Having Paul Ryan speak at any GOP event sends a clear message not just to the party but to voters as well. There is no doubt that Donald Trump is now, and will likely remain, the most influential person in the Republican Party.

But it becomes more and more clear that there are two distinct wings of the party. One sure way to gauge which one is more popular with voters will be when Donald Trump begins to hold rallies next month.

It will also reveal a lot about where conservative voters’ heads are leading up to 2022. Will they feel the need to chastise Adam Kinzinger and the others who voted to impeach Donald Trump by voting them out of office?

Back in February, residents of Kinzinger’s district were asked about how they felt about his vote to impeach Trump.

One of those residents, a 63-year old retired mechanical engineer had this to say, “If you want to vote as a Democrat, vote as a Democrat. Otherwise, if you’re a Republican, then support our president. Trump was the first president who represented me. The stuff he did helped me.”

Adam Kinzinger may be “at peace” with his vote. His constituents might not be.

Poll: Overwhelming Majority Of GOP Voters Agree With Trump Policies, Approve Of Ousting Liz Cheney

According to a new poll, a strong majority of Republican voters agree with the agenda of former President Donald Trump and agree with Republicans ousting anti-Trump Rep. Liz Cheney from her leadership position.

The poll shows where GOP voters stand as the party tries to navigate how to move forward in the 2022 midterm elections and beyond.

The results come from a CBS News/YouGov poll.

CBS News/You Gov Poll: Republicans Overwhelmingly Support Trump

The poll showed that “80% of Republicans agree with the removal of Liz Cheney from GOP Leadership.”

Cheney was recently voted of her House GOP Conference chairmanship due to to supporting the second impeachment of Trump and her constant criticism of the former president.

Also, the survey revealed, for example, that 89 percent agree with the former president on economic issues, and also 80 percent say Trump’s form of leadership is something the GOP should learn from and follow.

88 percent say Trump’s immigration agenda should be adhered to, and 73 percent of those taking the survey said Trump set an example on racial issues.

On handling the American left and overall mainstream media, 69 percent said Trump set the example on how to treat the left.

77 percent agreed with how Trump handled the media.

The numbers also skewed heavily in favor of Donald Trump’s claims about the 2020 presidential election and the GOP in general.

Republicans Do Not Believe Biden Won The 2020 Election

67 percent of Republican voters believe President Joe Biden did not legitimately win the 2020 election.

In addition, 34 percent of those polled believe Republicans should be punished if they are disloyal to the base.

When the CBS News/YouGov poll inquired about Republicans’ 2022 and 2024 strategy, 53 percent said Republicans need to focus on the “message” to get more Republican votes.

The poll advised Republicans that they “should tell the public about popular policies and ideas, and will win if more people hear about them.”

The CBS News/YouGov survey was taken between May 12 and May 14, surveying 951 self-identifying Republicans who had previously taken a poll with CBS News in 2021.

Conservatives Are Lining Up To Primary Anti-Trump Cheney In Wyoming

On Wednesday, House Republicans ousted Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) from her position as GOP Conference Chair, and now challengers in Wyoming are lining up to oust her from her Congressional seat altogether.

As many as six people have already announced they will challenge Cheney for her House seat in the 2022 midterms. A defiant Cheney told reporters on Thursday that she “obviously welcomes” anyone who wants to throw their hat in the ring against her.

“There are millions and millions of Republicans out there who want us to be a party that stands for principles and who are very worried about the direction that the party is going and don’t want the party to be dragged backward by the former president.”

Cheney has been an outspoken critic of former President Donald Trump, and has also spoken out about her concern with the direction of the Republican Party as influenced by Trump.

Trouble For Cheney Started With Impeachment

Liz Cheney’s troubles began not long after her impeachment vote against Donald Trump. In February, Cheney was censured by the Republican parties of ten Wyoming counties. Some used phrases in their announcements of a censure like “betrayed the trust” of voters, and “devalued the political influence of the state of Wyoming.”

Cheney also survived an attempt in February to remove her from the Conference chair position, with even fellow Republican Matt Gaetz of Florida traveling to Wyoming to encourage voters there to remove her from office.

Last month at a GOP retreat in Florida, calls for her to be removed from the Conference Chair got louder as Cheney was at odds with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) over the scope of a commission that is investigating the events at the Capitol on Jan. 6.

She also said that anyone who challenged the 2020 election results should be disqualified from being the 2024 GOP nominee – a clear shot at Trump.

RELATED: CDC Director Quickly Goes From ‘Impending Doom’ To ‘No Masks’, Prompting Questions About Timing

Who Are Cheney’s Challengers?

State Senator, gun rights activist, and Cheyenne-area business owner Anthony Bouchard was the first to announce he intended to challenge Cheney.

Another Wyoming legislator, a conservative radio host whose family owns Casper-area radio stations, State Rep. Chuck Gray has also announced he is running.

Retired Army Colonel Denton Knapp, who currently lives in California but grew up in Wyoming and plans to move back, has thrown his hat in the ring. He said what prompted him was, “What’s missing right now is trust in our elected officials. Wyomingites expected Cheney to vote a certain way and she didn’t. As a result, she’s going through consequences.”

Also in the running is Marissa Joy Selvig, former mayor of Pavillion, a small town of 200. Selvig said, “I’ve never been a Cheney fan.” She added, “She has been working more for herself and for the Republican Party than she has the citizens of Wyoming. That’s what I see.”

Businessman Darin Smith is the most recent challenger to announce his candidacy. He announced his intention to run last week.

Could Be An Uphill Battle For Cheney Opponents

Liz Cheney has a formidable track record when it comes to campaigning. She has beaten both Democrat and Republican opponents in the Cowboy state, and enjoys all the benefits of incumbency.

In the first quarter of this year, she raked in $1.5 million, her best fundraising quarter yet. Being the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, she enjoys universal name recognition and family legacy advantages, too.

Prior to being in the House, Cheney ran an ill-fated Senate campaign against then Senator Mike Enzi, but dropped out after only six months. Accusations of being a “carpet-bagger” dogged Cheney and claims that she had not spent much time in Wyoming until moving to affluent Jackson Hole in 2012.

Liz Cheney is free to do what she believes is right, but she might want to get home to see if the people in Wyoming agree with her.

Liz Cheney Calls For Criminal Investigation Into Trump

In her first interview since being ousted from leadership, Representative Liz Cheney continued to divide the Republican Party, calling for a criminal investigation into former President Donald Trump.

Cheney (R-WY) made the statement in a discussion with Savannah Guthrie on NBC’s Today Show Thursday.

The Political Insider previously reported on Cheney’s comments creating a new conspiracy theory that Trump would “unravel the democracy to come back into power.”

But, as is typical of those Republicans afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome, she took it a step further, calling for a criminal investigation into the former President.

Cheney accused Trump of having incited protesters at the Capitol in early January despite his statement to supporters that they “peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.”

“For reasons I don’t understand, the leaders within my party have decided to embrace the former president who launched that attack,” Cheney claimed.

“I think the American people have to know,” she continued. “And certainly any president who did what we know this former president did has got to be investigated criminally.”

RELATED: A Defiant Liz Cheney Ousted From Leadership, Attacks Trump and His Supporters

Liz Cheney Wants A Criminal Investigation Of Trump

Cheney’s obsession – and that’s just what it is, an obsession – with Trump is something truly remarkable to behold.

She may want to toss a picture of Rachel Maddow on her mirror and practice making statements like this beforehand. And if it sounds like something the MSNBC host would say when you’re practicing in the mirror, you’re no longer a Republican.

You’re a messenger for the corrupt mainstream media.

Any doubts about her being removed from leadership should no longer linger, if they were even there in the first place.

Cheney has spent months focusing extensively on Trump and his supporters, rather than addressing party unity or shared conservative goals.

Rather than voting her conscience on impeachment and moving on, she has continued to eviscerate Trump and his millions of supporters. Those supporters being the very people who make up the Republican Party’s continued existence.

Just recently, Cheney accused Trump voters of believing “the big lie” that the 2020 presidential election was stolen and vowed to campaign on impeaching him “every day of the week.”

In an op-ed for the Washington Post last week, Cheney encouraged Republicans not to embrace Trump’s “cult of personality.”

Trump “must not ever again be anywhere close to the Oval Office,” she told Guthrie.

Her Own Big Lie

And while Cheney likes to reference ‘big lies,’ Fox News host Bret Baier had to call her out on one she helped promulgate as a useful idiot for the media last summer.

A major election-time story involving claims that Russia put bounties on American troops in Afghanistan imploded last month when the White House revealed that U.S. intelligence does not have conclusive evidence that the reports were ever true.

Cheney helped push that story.

A Politico report at the time read, “in her latest rebuke of Trump, Cheney openly questioned whether the president was aware of reports that the Russians offered Afghan militants bounties to kill U.S. troops and demanded the administration take a more aggressive posture toward the Kremlin.”

Baier asked Cheney if she had any regrets about “taking part in spreading the story.”

“I said, if these reports are true, then the White House must explain why they did not brief the President or Vice President,” she replied in a tense exchange.

“So, you know, I remain concerned about the intelligence,” she added, unwilling to let the false news story go.

Cheney, who suddenly has a singular focus on the well-being of the nation, helped Democrats undermine the President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief all to the benefit of our enemies.

Hardly somebody who belongs in Congress, much less a leadership role.

Following her ouster on Wednesday, Trump issued a statement blasting Cheney as “a bitter, horrible human being.”

Chip Roy Won’t Rule Out Running Against Stefanik For GOP House Conference Seat: She ‘Should Have An Opponent’

On Wednesday, Congressman Chip Roy would not rule out running for the GOP leadership position left in the wake of former chairwoman Liz Cheney being ousted by her own party on Wednesday.

Mere hours after Cheney was pushed out for constantly criticizing former President Donald Trump, Roy was asked if he had any desire to become the next House Republican Conference chair.

Roy had previously criticized the choice of Elise Stefanik as a replacement, arguing that she was too liberal. Some conservatives agree.

RELATED: Pelosi Launches Attack On GOP For Removing Liz Cheney – ‘Republicans Must Take Back The Party’

Roy: ‘I Don’t Believe There Should Be A Coronation’

“We’re here to talk about other topics but I will say this, (New House GOP Chair Rep. Elise Stefanik) should have an opponent,” Roy said at a press conference.

Stefanik is one of Congress’s youngest members. Her influence began to rise in the GOP during the first impeachment trial, as many began to see her as the natural successor to an increasingly unpopular Liz Cheney.

“I don’t believe there should be a coronation,” Roy told reporters on Wednesday.

“I believe that if the [House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy wants us to be united, then he should take the time to do this the right way,” Roy added.

Before Cheney’s removal and Stefanik stepping into that role, Roy and other conservatives were already sounding the alarm that the new presumed House Chair was too liberal.

Multiple Outlets Were Reporting Wednesday That Roy Plans To Challenge Stefanik

The Political Insider reported on Tuesday, “With the vote to oust Congresswoman Liz Cheney from House Republican leadership looming, one conservative House Freedom Caucus member circulated a memo to every GOP office claiming that her presumed successor, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik isn’t much different from a Democrat.”

“On Tuesday, Congressman Chip Roy sent a memo asking the House Republican conference to reconsider Stefanik, citing her voting record, and encouraging Republicans to choose someone more conservative,” The Political Insider noted.

Multiple news outlets on Wednesday speculated that the Texas Republican already had his sights set on challenging Stefanik for her leadership seat.

And while the media regularly portrays Stefanik as hyper loyal to Donald Trump, and she even secured the endorsement of Trump himself, conservative critics have pointed out that she has regularly opposed Trump’s main platform issues

For example, Stefanik opposes the border wall.

NPR put together a list of Stefanik’s attacks on core Trump positions. Besides opposing the wall, she attacked Trump’s position on NATO and implied he was soft on Putin.

She opposed Trump’s move to block immigration from terror-heavy Middle East countries.

She attacked Trump for allegedly describing some third-world nations as “sh&thole countries.”

Stefanik told the Post-Star that “I disagree with his (Trump) position on Russia. I believe that Russia is an adversary,” Stefanik said. “In terms of Russia’s use of cyberattacks, in terms of Russia’s use of information operation and influence campaigns, I’m deeply concerned.”

Further, she backed the so-called Mueller investigation: “I disagree on his (Trump) attacks on law enforcement and the Department of Justice. I have confidence in the Mueller investigation. I have repeatedly and explicitly said that I support the Mueller investigation.”

Stefanik opposed Trump’s efforts to replace NAFTA, and is a proponent of comprehensive immigration reform – which conservative critics, along with Trump, argue is little more than amnesty.

It seems Roy may have a point.

Over 120 Retired Generals, Admirals Challenge Integrity Of 2020 Election, Question Biden’s Mental Fitness

A letter penned by 124 retired generals and admirals questions the mental fitness of President Biden and seemingly disputes the outcome of the 2020 election.

The group claims absentee ballots are not secure and questions election irregularities that were allegedly ignored in the previous presidential race.

The “Constitutional Republic is lost,” write the military leaders, without “fair and honest elections that accurately reflect the ‘will of the people.'”

“The FBI and Supreme Court must act swiftly when election irregularities are surfaced and not ignore them as was done in 2020,” they continue.

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign and its allies lost dozens of court cases challenging Biden’s victory in several states, and despite repeated objections by Trump since then, there has been no evidence of widespread voter fraud.

RELATED: Lindsey Graham Warns Anti-Trump Republicans They’re Going To Wind Up ‘Getting Erased’

Biden’s Mental Fitness

The letter goes on to question both the mental and physical fitness of President Biden to serve as Commander-in-Chief.

“The mental and physical condition of the Commander in Chief cannot be ignored,” the group writes. “He must be able to quickly make accurate national security decisions involving life and limb anywhere, day or night.”

The group of retired military leaders refers to itself as ‘Flag Officers 4 America.’

They make mention of Democrats’ attempts to wrest away some control of the nuclear codes as Biden was first settling into office.

Dozens of House Democrats called on Biden to relinquish sole control over the country’s nuclear arsenal and the ability to launch a strike using those weapons back in February.

“Recent Democrat leadership’s inquiries about nuclear code procedures sends a dangerous national security signal to nuclear-armed adversaries, raising the question about who is in charge,” the group states.

“We must always have an unquestionable chain of command.”

RELATED: 100 Former Republican Officials Threaten To Form Anti-Trump Third Party

Partisan Attack?

Contrary to the claims made in the letter, President Biden’s doctor released a report earlier this month maintaining that he is a “healthy, vigorous, 77-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency.”

The letter from ‘Flag Officers 4 America’ was criticized by military members who maintain men and women serving in uniform should not be involved in political matters.

Jim Golby, an expert in civil-military relations, defined the letter as a “shameful effort to use their rank and the military’s reputation for such a gross and blatant partisan attack.”

Of course, ‘gross and blatant partisan attacks’ were all the rage during Trump’s tenure. In fact, one key military figure who engaged in such activities helped push Democrats to impeach the former President.

Business Insider accused the group of backing “a false election conspiracy.”

Politico ran a piece titled, “‘Disturbing and reckless’: Retired brass spread election lie in attack on Biden, Democrats”

In it, they note “…current and former military officers are speaking out, calling the missive a dangerous new sign of the military being dragged into the trenches of partisan warfare.”

The letter in question also takes issue with the Iran nuclear deal and suggests “illegals are flooding our country.”

Lindsey Graham Warns Anti-Trump Republicans They’re Going To Wind Up ‘Getting Erased’

Senator Lindsey Graham said it’s impossible for the GOP to move forward without Donald Trump as its leader, warning that those trying to “erase” the party of the former President might themselves be “getting erased.”

Graham’s comments came just before House Republicans voted on Wednesday to remove Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) from leadership for lack of party unity and consistent attacks on Trump and his supporters.

The South Carolina Republican spoke earlier this week with Fox News host Sean Hannity regarding the future of the party.

“It’s impossible for this party to move forward without President Trump being its leader, because the people who are conservatives have chosen him as their leader,” Graham stated. “And you know why they chose him? Because he delivered.”

He then began listing off several conservative victories under the Trump administration – including national security, border security, tax cuts, and pride in America.

Graham: Anti-Trump Republicans Are Going to End Up Getting Erased

Senator Lindsey Graham also issued an ominous warning against anti-Trump Republicans like Liz Cheney, Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT), and Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL).

“The most popular Republican in America—it’s not Lindsey Graham, is not Liz Cheney, it’s Donald Trump,” he told Hannity.

“To try to erase Donald Trump from the Republican party is insane,” he added. “And the people who try to erase him are going to wind up getting erased.”

Graham went on to say that conservatives are disappointed that he lost the election because they “believe that Trump’s policies worked.”

Cheney Ousted From GOP Leadership

Graham specifically commented on the embattled Representative Cheney whose leadership role was terminated on Wednesday.

Cheney was removed for her unwillingness to unite the party and instead attack Trump at every turn.

“I’ve always liked Liz Cheney but she’s made a determination that the Republican Party can’t grow with President Trump,” he said. “I’ve determined we can’t grow without him.”

Cheney has refused to unite a Republican party that includes Trump supporters. Instead, she insults them.

She has accused Trump voters of believing “the big lie” that the 2020 presidential election was stolen, has gone after colleagues in her own party who supported the former President, and vowed to campaign on impeaching him “every day of the week.”

In an op-ed for the Washington Post last week, Cheney encouraged Republicans not to embrace Trump’s “cult of personality.”

That is not somebody who belongs in a leadership role.

Romney, as you might imagine, disagrees.

“Every person of conscience draws a line beyond which they will not go: Liz Cheney refuses to lie,” he asserted.

“As one of my Republican Senate colleagues said to me following my impeachment vote: ‘I wouldn’t want to be a member of a group that punished someone for following their conscience.'”

Trump issued a statement referring to Cheney as a “big-shot warmonger” and Romney as a “stone-cold loser.”
