Nancy Pelosi Interrupts CNN’s Christiane Amanpour To Claim Trump Was Never Acquitted In Impeachment Trial

By PoliZette Staff | February 17, 2020

During an interview with CNN host Christiane Amanpour on Saturday, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) bizarrely claimed that President Donald Trump was never actually acquitted in his Senate trial earlier this month. Of course, this is a blatant lie, as Trump was indeed acquitted by the Senate in 52-48 and a 53-47 votes.

While taking part in the CNN interview, Pelosi desperately tried to argue that Trump had not been acquitted because the Senate never called for more documents and witnesses during the trial.

“What about, though, the fact that the president seems liberated, and this is about democratic politics so I’m not asking you to criticize here, but he was acquitted, his poll ratings are high—” Amanpour began, before Pelosi interrupted her.

After awkwardly stammering for a few seconds, Pelosi said, “You can’t have an acquittal unless you have a trial, and you can’t have a trial unless you have witnesses and documents.

“So he can say he’s acquitted, and the headlines can say ‘acquitted,’ but he’s impeached forever, branded with that, and not vindicated,” she added, “and even the senators were saying, ‘Yes, it wasn’t right,’ but they didn’t have the courage to act upon that.”

If this is not fake news, I don’t know what is!

This is not the first time Pelosi has lied about Trump’s acquittal in this way. Before the trial ended, when it was clear an acquittal was coming, Pelosi said that the acquittal would not be valid unless Republicans senators called more witnesses, as Democrats had asked them to do.

“You cannot be acquitted if you don’t have a trial,” Pelosi said, according to The Blaze. “And you don’t have a trial if you don’t have witnesses and documentation.”

Given how Democrats behaved after Trump won the 2016 election, this new strategy of theirs when it comes to impeachment should come as a surprise to nobody. When an election or trial results in an outcome that Democrats do not like, they immediately refuse to accept it and argue that the entire process was never legitimate in the first place.

Regardless of what Pelosi says, the American people know that Trump was acquitted fair and square. The more she tries to say otherwise, the more likely it is that the majority of Americans will respond by voting to reelect Trump in November.

Nancy Pelosi Questions Whether Trump Is A Person Of Faith

By PoliZette Staff | February 17, 2020

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) hit a new low in her anti-Trump behavior this weekend when she questioned the president’s Christian faith.

During an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, Pelosi seemed to suggest that Donald Trump is not actually a man of faith, saying that if he was a real Christian, he would know that people of faith like her pray “even for him.”

After alleging that GOP senators did not have the “courage” to vote guilty on impeachment, Pelosi said, “Except for Mitt Romney. God bless him. And then the president criticized him for using his faith.”

“Look I don’t know if the president is a person of faith. It’s not for me to make that judgment,” Pelosi continued.

“He criticized you about saying you prayed for him as well,” Amanpour countered.

“He said I didn’t pray for him,” Pelosi said. “I thought if he was a person of faith he would recognize other people of faith. And if he prayed he would recognize that other people do, even for him.”

This comes as Trump and Pelosi have been trading barbs over one another’s faith in recent weeks.

“I don’t like people who use their faith as justification for doing what they know is wrong,” Trump said at the National Prayer Breakfast earlier this month, referring to Romney’s vote to impeach him. “Nor do I like people who say, ‘I pray for you,’ when they know that that’s not so.”

Pelosi has frequently said that she is praying for Trump, and in response to his comments, she accused him of being irreligious.

“I pray hard for him, because he’s so off the track of our Constitution, our values, our country,” she said, calling the presidency a “heavy responsibility.”

“I thought what he said about — what he said about Senator Romney was particularly without class,” Pelosi continued, according to The Washington Examiner. “He’s talking about things that he knows little about: faith and prayer.”

Regardless of Pelosi’s personal feelings on Trump, there is no excuse for her questioning his faith. This is just another example of a powerful Democrat crossing the line when it comes to attack on Trump.

Shame on you, Nancy Pelosi.

Judge Napolitano Suggests Jury Foreperson in Roger Stone Trial Could Be Jailed, Conviction Overturned

Judge Andrew Napolitano commented on the remarkable revelations coming out of the Roger Stone trial, namely that the jury foreperson had a significant anti-Trump and anti-Stone bias.

Facts regarding Tomeka Hart, the juror in question, have been coming out of late, facts that probably should have been known by the judge or prosecutors in the case long before now.

Hart, it has been revealed, donated to Democrat candidates rather frequently (she donated $100 to Kamala Harris during the trial), actually ran for Congress as a Democrat, posted on social media that supporters of the President are racists, and even shared a post mocking Stone for decrying the ‘excessive force’ used in his arrest.

“Then stop being racists,” she wrote in response to one article about Trump supporters growing weary of being called the term.

“Co-signing and defending a racist and his racist rhetoric makes you racist,” Hart continued. “Point blank.”

Which begs the question, how in the hell was this woman, who very clearly has an animus towards Stone and anybody involved with President Trump, allowed to serve on the jury period, much less as foreperson?

Napolitano has some opinions and if they’re right, suggests Hart could be looking at being charged with a crime.

Did She Hide Her Bias?

Judge Napolitano appeared with Fox News personality Tucker Carlson to discuss the case which has ignited Democrats to pursue new impeachment charges and investigations against the President and Attorney General Bill Barr.

“Why was someone like this allowed to remain on the jury?” Carlson asked.

Hart, Napolitano believes, has a very serious problem if it is determined that she intentionally hid her bias.

“This is information that she must have hidden from the lawyers and the judge who interrogated her before she was put on the jury,” he explained, noting that federal cases require a judge interrogate the jurors.

“The purpose of the interrogation is to weed out people that have a bias, prejudice, and knowledge of case or interest in the outcome,” Napolitano continued.

“She obviously had a prejudice against Roger Stone, a bias in favor of his prosecution, and an interest in seeing him convicted.”

There is another scenario though less likely – that the judge and prosecutors knew of Hart’s mindset and were okay with it.

Bring Her Back In

The reality is, in most courts in America this would be grounds for a mistrial.

Napolitano believes the judge in this trial needs to bring Hart back in, along with the prosecutors who recently attempted to resign in protest over perceived interference by the President, and interrogate her again.

If it is determined Hart lied about bias or prior knowledge of Stone in her initial interrogation, said Napolitano, “It would be catastrophic for her.”

“First of all, she is a lawyer,” he said. “So she would be prosecuted for perjury since the statements are given under oath.”

“And if convicted she would lose her license to practice law but that would be the least of her concerns,” Napolitano continued. “She probably would serve jail time if she lied in order to affect the outcome of a case.”

He also proposed that if it is determined that Hart falsely represented herself, the conviction would be vacated and a new trial ordered.

Considering Democrats are hell-bent on taking down President Trump and AG Bill Barr over this, imagine their rage when one of their own resistance footsoldiers ends up getting Stone off.

Joe Biden On Debating Trump: ‘I Can Hardly Wait’

Former Vice President and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said Thursday that he was eager to debate President Donald Trump.

‘I can hardly wait’

“I can hardly wait,” Biden told ABC’s “The View,” calling Trump “the most corrupt president we’ve ever had.”

Biden defended his decision to remain in the presidential race in the interview despite terrible results in both Iowa and New Hampshire

“People know me. They know who I am,” Biden said. “They know I’ve never been accused of doing anything indecent, I haven’t lied. I’ve been straight up.”

‘I’m authentic’

“The bad news for me is I’m authentic,” he continued. “I say what I mean. I mean what I say and sometimes I say all that I mean but that’s — you know …”

The View co-host Sunny Hostin noted that Biden’s supposed reputation for being authentic was one of the reasons many people thought he should have been a witness in the Senate impeachment trial against Trump.

“At one point there was talk of this trade. Bolton testifying for your testimony,” Hostin said. “Many people think you should have testified because you would make a good witness. Why didn’t you?”

Biden dismissed the question, claiming no one had asked him to testify, then immediately went back to attacking Trump.

“Look, this is a tactic he uses,” Biden said. “The best thing when you’re attacked, go to somebody else, take your eye off the ball, focus on something else. I’ll be damned if I’m going to give him that opportunity. I can hardly wait to get him on the debate stage …”

The audience burst into applause.

Biden Continues to Pretend to be a Hardballer Despite Poor Showings in Iowa and New Hampshire

“I can hardly wait. This is the most corrupt president we’ve ever had,” Biden went on. “He wants to fight corruption. Mr. President, I released 21 years of my tax returns. Release one of yours. What do you have hiding?”

Joy Behar then intervened, asking, “Let’s say you’re on the debate stage with him and he does what he did to Hillary, starts hovering behind you like a big monster behind the poor woman. What are you going to do?”

“I’ll say, come up here, Jack. Up here. Stand next to me. Come on, this guy is a — oh gosh,” Biden laughed while shaking his head. “God, give me the grace to not say what I’m thinking.”

Warren: We Need to Start Impeachment Proceedings For AG Barr

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren is calling on the House to commence impeachment proceedings if Attorney General Bill Barr does not willingly resign.

Barr has been the subject of scorn after the Department of Justice opted – rightfully – to reduce the amount of jail time requested by federal prosecutors for Roger Stone, a former associate of President Trump.

The DOJ, independently of the President’s own complaints, sought reduction of the “extreme” sentencing request of nine years.

The left has wantonly drawn a line between a tweet from Trump calling the recommendation of nine years to be a “miscarriage of justice” and Barr’s actions in taking charge of a case that had gone off the rails.

As former Rep. Trey Gowdy notes, “There are child pornographers, people who rob banks who do not get nine years.”

Still, the chain of events led four career prosecutors to quit the case after the DOJ revealed their plans.

Now, Warren is demanding Barr either resign or face impeachment.

Warren: Barr Has to Go

In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Warren suggested she was so distraught over Barr’s actions that she didn’t even want to discuss the election. You know, the one she’s embarrassingly floundering in right now.

“I have to say I know everybody wants to talk about the horse race, but the thing that is really getting to me right now is what’s going on over at the Justice Department,” claimed Warren.

“The whole notion that we have people in our Justice Department resigning because Donald Trump’s inappropriate influence and the attorney general overturning a sentencing of Donald Trump’s cronies,” she lamented.

He’s not overturning a sentencing, he’s overturning a recommendation of sentencing, a vastly different accusation from Ms. Warren.

“You know, right in front of our eyes, we are watching a descent into authoritarianism,” she claimed without evidence. “And this just seems like a moment to me everybody should be speaking up.”

More Democrats ARE Speaking Up

With the group-think paranoia gripping the Democrat party today, the notion that Warren’s call for resignation or impeachment is a novel one is laughable.

“Senate Democrats have called on Attorney General William Barr to resign or face impeachment,” Yahoo News reported, “after President Donald Trump appeared to confirm that Barr had intervened in the case against the president’s longtime friend Roger Stone.”

Of course, that’s a garbage assessment by Yahoo, as the President merely congratulated the attorney general for “taking charge.” There is zero evidence that Barr actually intervened on Trump’s behalf.

Regardless, Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) told NBC News that Barr has “no choice” but to resign because he’s “acting simply as a henchman of the president.”

Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has demanded an investigation.

Gowdy, a former House Oversight Committee Chair, opined that calls for Barr’s resignation are the “dumbest damn thing I’ve ever heard.”

Calls for impeachment, we’re assuming, are even dumber.

Gowdy to Dems Calling For Barr Resignation: “Dumbest Damn Thing I’ve Ever Heard”

Former House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy blasted Democrats demanding the resignation of Attorney General Bill Barr, calling it the “dumbest damn thing (he’s) ever heard.”

The left has been in quite a tizzy after President Trump lashed out at federal prosecutors via Twitter for recommending an excessive prison sentence for former associate Roger Stone.

The Department of Justice earlier this week revealed that they would seek a reduction of the “extreme” sentencing request – nine years – setting off a firestorm of controversy that culminated in four career prosecutors quitting the case one by one.

The issue seems to be a matter of timing. The announcement was made after Trump’s tweet, giving the impression that Barr and the DOJ were reacting to the comments.

Gowdy says none of it is true.

He’s Seen Some Pretty Dumb Things

The former Representative from South Carolina has certainly seen some dumb things during his career, but this one apparently takes the cake. The argument is two-fold.

First, Gowdy agrees with the President that Stone’s sentence is beyond the pale.

“There are child pornographers, people who rob banks who do not get nine years,” he noted before advising that a sentence of two or three years would be more appropriate.

Second, he explains that there is roughly a zero percent chance Barr was swayed by the President’s comments.

“I can tell you this: Bill Barr was aware of this recommendation before President Trump ever tweeted a single syllable, a single character,” said Gowdy. “So the notion that Barr was somehow motivated to move because of this tweet is just factually wrong.”

“The notion that Barr should resign is about the dumbest damn thing I’ve ever heard,” Gowdy added.

Barr Is Fully Within His Rights

To absolutely nobody’s surprise, Democrats, permanently housed in their perpetual outrage echo chamber, are using the DOJ’s actions as their latest effort to force an administration member out of office.

Senators Elizabeth Warren and Richard Blumenthal demanded Barr step down on Wednesday. The House Judiciary Committee promised to interrogate him over his handling of the sentencing during a hearing in late March.

Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton accused Trump and his administration of operating like a “failed-state fascist.”

There has even been talk of more articles of impeachment.

“I can tell you this: Bill Barr was aware of this recommendation before President Trump ever tweeted a single syllable, a single character,” explained Gowdy. “So the notion that Barr was somehow motivated to move because of this tweet is just factually wrong.”

And while the former Rep. wishes Trump – or any other President – would cease weighing in on ongoing investigations, he concluded that he was well within his rights to commute Stone’s sentence or pardon him, should he so desire.

“He could do it [pardon Stone] by tweet tonight,” insisted Gowdy. “He’s the head of the executive branch and people have a chance in November if they want a different one.”

Imagine the outrage when President Trump announces Stone’s pardon via tweet. That will be about the “dumbest damned thing you’ll ever see.”

Until the next faux outrage.

CNN’s Brian Stelter Tries To Attack Fox News For Ignoring Major Trump Story – It Immediately Backfires

By PoliZette Staff | February 12, 2020

CNN’s Brian Stelter tried to call out Fox News for ignoring a major story about Donald Trump on Tuesday, but his attempts to humiliate the network immediately backfired when social media users let him know that Fox had in fact broken the story.

“Fox and MSNBC leading the 1pm hour with NH primary hype,” Stelter tweeted on Tuesday afternoon. “CNN leading with breaking news: ‘DOJ STUNS WITH EXTRAORDINARY REVERSAL ON STONE SENTENCING.'”

RELATED: CNN Ratings Continue to Struggle, Fox News Gets a Huge Boost From Impeachment Trial

Stelter was claiming that Fox was ignoring the major story of the Department of Justice pushing for a lower sentence for Roger Stone, a convicted former associate of Trump’s, despite prosecutors within the DOJ seeking a seven to nine year sentence, according to The Blaze.

Unfortunately for Stelter, he soon learned that he was dead wrong, as social media users pointed out that it was Fox News who broke this story in the first place.

“Fox News broke the friggin story,” replied Chuck Ross of the Daily Caller, with The Federalist’s Sean Davis responding, “Fox News broke that story, you incompetent buffoon.”

Other users pointed out Stelter’s mistake as well:

Stelter is clearly just jealous that Fox News absolutely dominates CNN in the ratings. In fact, the week of Trump’s acquittal in the Senate impeachment trial was the fifth most-watched week in the history of the network, and it’s highest since the president’s inauguration, according to Axios.

RELATED: MSNBC Hosts Caught on Hot Mic Trashing Dems

On top of that, of the forty most-watched shows on basic cable last week, 39 were on Fox. The only other one to break the top forty was Rachel Maddow’s MSBNC show, and none of CNN’s shows were able to break through.

In 2019, CNN saw a 9% decline in total viewers, so it’s no wonder Stelter is feeling bitter. He can try to discredit Fox as much as he wants to, but it’s not going to stop the rest of us from tuning in to the one cable news network we can actually trust to bring us the truth.
