SHOWDOWN: Rand Paul Vows to Fight after Justice John Roberts Blocks Question Naming Whistleblower

Tensions were on the rise Wednesday evening as Chief Justice John Roberts blocked a question from Senator Rand Paul that would have identified the alleged whistleblower at the center of the impeachment trial.

Roberts’ actions prompted shouting from the Kentucky Senator as he vowed to “fight for recognition.”

Sean Davis, a co-founder of the Federalist, reported that Roberts, at the behest of Democrats, “previously vowed to ban any questions about the whistleblower whatsoever, named or not.”

“Roberts’ arbitrary and unilateral censorship of senators and Senate business raises serious questions about whether he would similarly ban any and all motions to subpoena by name the whistleblower … to compel his testimony,” Davis said.

GOP senators previously suggested having the whistleblower testify should witnesses be approved for the trial.

After Republicans threatened a vote to rebuke Roberts on the record, the Chief Justice retreated and said the actual name of the whistleblower would be the only thing earning a block.

Even that should be challenged.

Paul Fuming

Roberts move at the encouraging of Democrats, reportedly, left Paul fuming and vowing to engage in a fight to be heard.

“I don’t want to have to stand up to try and fight for recognition,” Paul was heard shouting during a break in the trial. “If I have to fight for recognition, I will.”

Reporter Niels Lesniewski said Paul’s complaint was “audible from the galleries above the chamber.”

Paul, who has been insistent on testimony from the whistleblower for the record, said “tbd [to be decided]” when asked if he would force the issue.

Outing the Whistleblower

As Senator Paul has explained time and again, whistleblowers are protected by federal law from retaliation in the workplace but are not guaranteed anonymity.

“The whistleblower statute protects the whistleblower from having his name revealed by the inspector general,” Paul previously noted when threatening to out him. “Even The New York Times admits that no one else is under any legal obligation.”

He has noted that the whistleblower is a material witness in the case “because he worked for Joe Biden at the same time Hunter Biden was receiving $50,000 per month.”

The Political Insider has identified the alleged whistleblower as CIA officer Eric Ciaramella, a registered Democrat who worked with former Vice President Joe Biden and former CIA Director John Brennan.

His identity is crucial because House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff and his office have allegedly coordinated the effort with him to take down President Trump.

Ciaramella’s work history and coordination with Schiff’s office would indicate a political bias – not a concern over truth and justice – in trying to impeach the President, something that is thoroughly relevant to the trial.

Attorney to the whistleblower, Mark Zaid, was revealed to have discussed a coup and other devious secret plans to oust the President.

“Democrats must be accountable for their hoaxes and their crimes,” Trump said regarding the ‘coup.’

Roberts, by protecting Schiff and the whistleblower, is assuring they will not be held accountable. Paul must continue to fight this and his Republican colleagues must stand with him.

Trump Signs USMCA Trade Deal, Doesn’t Invite Democrats to Attend

Despite being hailed as a major bipartisan trade deal, President Trump refused to invite Democrats to the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA) ceremonial signing.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office complained about the snub and did their best to save face.

“The White House hasn’t invited House Democrats to their USMCA signing ceremony,” Spokesman for the Speaker,  Henry Connelly, said in a statement.

“But we’ll be well represented in the huge changes to the original USMCA draft that Democrats wrested out of the Administration on labor, prescription drugs, environment and enforcement mechanisms,” he added.

No ceremonial golden pens to take home this time, eh Democrats?

Democrats Are Salty

It’s anybody’s guess as to why President Trump specifically refused to invite Democrats to the ceremony, but there is no shortage of justified reasons.

Perhaps it’s the reprehensible impeachment sham they’ve dragged the entire country through. The baseless investigations they’ve conducted over the last few years with little to no evidence of wrongdoing. The constant obstructionism.

Or maybe, as seen in the statement from Pelosi’s office, the President didn’t want Democrats taking credit for a win secured by the administration.

The “huge changes” referenced in the Speaker’s statement didn’t exactly come from the House resistance gang.

Fox News personality Laura Ingraham said she knows “a little bit about this deal” and to nobody’s surprise, the Democrats are lying.

“She [Pelosi] conceded on all major aspects of the deal except a few provisions, regarding drug companies that won’t get protections that they wanted,” Ingraham explained. “And look, we know the president himself has wanted to get tougher on the drug companies, anyway.”

Trump Learned From His Mistakes

The last time the President had a camera-loving, self-absorbed liberal at a signing ceremony for the USMCA, it was Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Trudeau made a ridiculous scene, referring to the President as simply “Donald” during the meeting, repeatedly calling the USMCA, Trump’s preferred moniker, the ‘new NAFTA,’ and refusing to hold up his signed copy of the agreement when Trump suggested doing a photo op.

White House spokesman Hogan Gidley called the new USMCA deal “a win for the American people.”

“This is a model agreement that changes the trade landscape forever,” Trump bragged at the time of the signing with Canada and Mexico.

“This is an agreement that first and foremost benefits working people, something of great importance to all three of us here today.”

A win for the American people and working-class citizens? No wonder Trump didn’t invite Democrats. They’ve been fighting against those groups of people since the dawn of time.

Dem Impeachment Manager Echoes Adam Schiff – This is About the Election

Rep. Jason Crow, currently serving as a Democrat impeachment manager, admits that his party’s efforts are due to the upcoming presidential election. It is a similar argument to one made by Adam Schiff recently.

Crow’s admission came during an interview with MSNBC’s Chuck Rosenberg, in which the host addressed the Democrat party’s alternating sense of urgency regarding the need to remove President Trump from office.

“Did the House move too quickly?” Rosenberg asked, noting that had the House conducted a thorough effort in the first place, they wouldn’t need the Senate to do their job now.

“No, I think the House proceeded in the way that it should have proceeded,” Crow insisted. “There was urgency, but it was also thoughtful and deliberate, it occurred over several months period of time.”

He then – perhaps accidentally – admitted what that urgency entailed.

“There is some urgency here,” Crow explained, before adding, “it does have to do with the elections that are coming up later this year.”

RELATED: Schiff: Impeachment Necessary to Stop Trump In 2020

Stunning!

You mean to tell me the Democrats are using impeachment to try and sway the election in their favor? To change the outcome of not only the 2020 election but the 2016 election as well?

Color me shocked.

Except that A) It’s already pretty obvious to anyone with a working set of eyes and ears and B) They’ve already admitted this before.

Crow’s impeachment manager colleague, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, confessed that he and his colleagues could not wait on impeachment because the threat of President Trump winning re-election is too great.

“The argument, ‘why don’t you just wait?’ comes down to this,” Schiff claimed. “‘Why don’t you just let him cheat in just one more election? Why not let him have foreign help one more time?'”

In one fell swoop, Schiff is suggesting President Trump is cheating to win in 2020 and claiming he already cheated in 2016.

Is anybody here old enough to remember when Schiff and his colleagues were telling everybody who would listen that the notion of a rigged election is ludicrous and not accepting the results is a ‘threat to democracy’?

RELATED: Adam Schiff Wants Trump Removed Because He Won’t Do “What’s Right For This Country”

This is Why They’re Doing It

It isn’t just Schiff and Crow who have flat-out said the Democrat party is trying to interfere and rig the 2020 presidential election.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who promoted Schiff and Crow to the ranks of impeachment managers, admitted recently that her party is pursuing the unpopular sham because “civilization, as we know it today, is at stake in the next election.”

Rep. Al Green, the Texas Democrat who believes articles of impeachment should address slavery, has said he’s “concerned if we don’t impeach this president, he will get re-elected.”

And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the New York socialist and darling of the Democrat party, got this whole process rolling by warning: “We don’t have the luxury of time. Yes, this is an emergency.”

Senator Ted Cruz explained exactly why they are doing this.

“This is a partisan sham because they’re mad – the House Democrats – are mad at the American people for electing President Trump,” he said.

Now, they’re telling you exactly that, and they’re saying it to your face.

Watch: Ted Cruz Rips ‘Nasty’ Reporter Who Suggested Jailing His Kids

Ted Cruz eviscerated a reporter covering the impeachment trial for playing a “nasty game” after the latter suggested the senator’s children should be in jail.

The reporter clearly thought he was making a witty retort to Cruz’ insistence that Hunter Biden, son of former vice president Joe Biden, may be involved in corruption with a Ukrainian gas company.

The journalist dismissed Hunter’s involvement with the company and his father’s quid pro quo in demanding a prosecutor investigating them be fired under the threat of withholding aid.

“Hunter Biden got a job,” they said. “His dad was Vice President. If that’s a crime, shouldn’t half of your children be in prison?”

Cue the sad trombone. We’re sure when he wrote it down, this hack thought he was delivering an epic rebuttal. Until you realize Cruz’s children are 9 and 11-years-old.

RELATED: Ted Cruz: Democrats Made ‘Very Serious Strategic Error,’ Hunter Biden Testimony Now Needed

Cruz Shreds Democrats

Republican senators have been threatening to haul Hunter in with a subpoena during the impeachment trial as a means to understand more about President Trump’s desire to investigate corruption in Ukraine.

“We’ve just seen two hours of evidence and at a minimum, it was not only reasonable and justified but the president, I think had an obligation to investigate corruption that potentially extended to the very highest levels of government,” Cruz told reporters.

Cruz shrugged off the latest alleged ‘bombshell‘ involving former National Security Adviser John Bolton’s book and instead suggested it is Biden who is the more crucial witness.

“I get that the press loves to obsess over the latest bombshell,” Cruz responded. “Listen, I don’t know what John Bolton’s book says or doesn’t say. I’ve seen the New York Times coverage but at the end of the day, it doesn’t impact the legal issue before this Senate.”

“The legal issue before this Senate is whether a president has the authority to investigate corruption,” he continued. “So the House managers built their entire case on the proposition that investigating Burisma corruption, investigating the Bidens for corruption, was baseless and a sham. The proposition is absurd.”

Not as absurd as the media suggesting his children should be in jail if they had jobs. Which they don’t. Again, because they’re 9 and 11.

Comparing Hunter to a 9-Year-Old

To his credit, Cruz keeps his cool when being confronted with such an asinine analogy that everybody surrounding him and the reporter bursts into laughter.

‘Shouldn’t half your children be in prison?’

The reporter actually had to write this down in his little journal or rehearse the question in his head and then actually said it out loud.

“My children are 9 and 11, I’m sorry you want to throw a 9-year-old in prison, but at this point, my third-grader plays basketball and softball at her school so stop playing the nasty Washington game,” Cruz shot back.

“It’s not a nasty Washington game,” came the reporter’s response.

“Attacking a 9-year-old?” Cruz scoffed, giving a slight wave of the hand and moving on to people more serious about their careers.

Trump Shreds Don Lemon After CNN Panel Mocks President’s Supporters as Ignorant ‘Rubes’

President Donald Trump responded to a CNN segment in which panelists mocked his supporters as “credulous boomer rubes” by referring to host Don Lemon as “the dumbest man on television.”

Trump was not the only individual outraged at the segment which featured Lemon, New York Times columnist Wajahat Ali, and ex-GOP strategist Rick Wilson, a man who occasionally emerges from his parent’s basement to take cheap shots at people far more intelligent than he is.

Wilson kicked things off by suggesting Mike Pompeo couldn’t locate Ukraine on a map, commentary based on a heated exchange between the Secretary of State and an NPR reporter in which he reportedly challenged the journalist to do the same.

“He [Pompeo] also knows deep within his heart that Donald Trump couldn’t find Ukraine on a map if you had the letter U and a picture of an actual physical crane next to it,” Wilson joked.

“He knows that this is, you know, an administration defined by ignorance of the world,” he continued on a network defined by ignorance of the world. “And so that’s partly him playing to the base and playing to their audience. You know, the credulous boomer rube demo that backs Donald Trump.”

Lemon burst out laughing, repeatedly drying tears as Wilson, an Evan McMullin wanna be, continued mocking Trump supporters.

RELATED: CNN’s Ratings Continue to Collapse During Impeachment Inquiry

It Gets Worse

The perpetually projecting Wilson wasn’t even vaguely finished with his mockery of Trump voters, assuming a southern accent and mimicking what he believes they must sound like.

“Donald Trump’s the smart one – any y’all elitists are dumb!'” Wilson said with a heavy southern drawl.

Ali chirped, “‘You elitists with your geography and your maps – and your spelling!'”

“‘Your math and your reading!'” Wilson added. “‘All those lines on the map!'”

Lemon, meanwhile, could hardly contain himself, doubling over in laughter.

Steve Krakauer, a former senior digital producer for CNN, posted a video of the segment and absolutely leveled all three beta males.

“The arrogance, the dismissiveness, the smug cackling, the accents,” he wrote. “If Donald Trump wins re-election this year, I’ll remember this brief CNN segment late one Saturday night in January as the perfect encapsulation for why it happened.”

Fortunately, not many people are watching CNN these days, with viewership falling to a three-year low during the impeachment trial. Meaning Wilson will soon go back to practicing his southern accent in front of a mirror – something he’s obviously been doing for some time – and have roughly the same number of people watching.

RELATED: CNN’s Don Lemon Insists Anyone Supporting Trump At This Point is ‘Mental’

Trump Levels Lemon

Indeed, Trump’s re-election is going to be that much sweeter when you realize on that night in November, all three of these weapons-grade morons will be curled up in the fetal position, sobbing and sucking their thumbs.

The President retweeted a clip of the segment shared by the Daily Caller which read, “America, this is what CNN thinks of you….”

Trump added his own caption, “Don Lemon, the dumbest man on television (with terrible ratings!)”

The President wasn’t the only one outraged at Lemon, Ali, and Barney Rubble’s arrogant snub of half the voting population in America.

Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh wrote, “This is a real segment from an actual program on a cable news network that asks to be taken seriously.”

“Not subtle message to huge parts of America: THEY HATE YOU,” he added.

Indeed, they most certainly do.

It was just months ago that Lemon called Trump supporters “mental” and he has repeatedly characterized his voters as racists.

His unhinged cackling at class clown Rick Wilson seems to suggest he’s suffering from his own personal breakdown.

Senator Hawley Preparing Motions to Subpoena Schiff, Bidens, Whistleblower in Impeachment Trial

Senator Josh Hawley revealed he plans to draft motions to subpoena House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son Hunter, and the alleged ‘whistleblower.’

The move would be especially urgent due to new revelations that moderate Republican senators are threatening to join Democrats in their call for new witnesses in the impeachment trial.

“If the witness vote succeeds, Hawley aims to force votes on subpoenas for House Intelligence Chairman Schiff (D-Calif.), Vice President Biden, Hunter Biden, Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson, the still-unnamed whistleblower,” Politico reported over the weekend.

“If the Senate calls witnesses, I will ask for votes on all these next week,” Hawley tweeted.

RELATED: Romney Says He’s ‘Very Likely’ to Join Democrats on Call For New Impeachment Witnesses

An Urgent Move

Hawley’s proposal is pivotal considering a New York Times report on suspiciously leaked manuscript details involving a book from former National Security Advisor John Bolton.

The report – from anonymous sources – indicates that Bolton accuses President Trump of withholding military aid to Ukraine until Joe Biden and his son Hunter were properly investigated.

While the media hit job smacks of a replay of that carried out against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, it is enough to cause weak-kneed senators to crumble and attempt to completely re-litigate the impeachment articles in the Senate.

Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) has admitted, “I think it’s very likely I’ll be in favor of witnesses.”

Susan Collins, Senator from Maine, and Lisa Murkowski, Senator from Alaska, are also reportedly flaking. Meaning Democrats would need just one other Republican colleague to tuck their tail between their legs and join them in the impeachment hit job.

Should they succeed, Hawley’s measure would present the impeachment managers with a difficult double-edged sword, raising the specter that Schiff, Biden and the whistleblower could all be called to testify.

RELATED: Report: GOP Adding a ‘Kill Switch’ Option to Prevent Democrats From Turning Impeachment Into Circus

Activate the Kill Switch

Last week, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell finalized rules for the impeachment trial, adding what some defined as a ‘kill switch’ in which the President’s legal team could either move to judgment or move to dismiss at a meaningful time.

The House failed to do their homework and call Bolton to testify in the first place. Bolton’s claims in a book he is setting up for online pre-order contradict the reality behind the transcripts of the telephone call. So, they’re not a game-changer by any stretch. That said, perhaps it’s time to implement the ‘kill switch.’

Seeing Schiff, the Biden’s, and the whistleblower dragged in to testify would be an interesting prospect sure, but the longer this gets dragged out, the longer Democrats and the media will have to continually manufacture new evidence – just as they did with Kavanaugh.

It’s time to stop the madness.

Romney Says He’s ‘Very Likely’ to Join Democrats on Call For New Impeachment Witnesses

Senator Mitt Romney has revealed he’d be in favor of new witnesses being called to testify in the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump.

Romney’s decision comes just prior to controversy over anonymous sources relaying information on a book manuscript by former National Security Advisor John Bolton to the New York Times.

The Times indicates that the manuscript accuses President Trump of withholding military aid to Ukraine until Joe Biden and his son Hunter were properly investigated.

Romney, however, was wavering already and suggesting he’d side with Democrats before the Times published that report.

“I think it’s very likely I’ll be in favor of witnesses, but I haven’t made a decision finally yet and I won’t until the testimony is completed,” the former presidential candidate said on Saturday.

If Romney was in favor of teaming up with Democrats before the Bolton report, he’ll most assuredly be demanding witnesses now.

RELATED: Seven Senators Who May Hold the Key to Trump’s Presidency

Romney Wanted to Hear From Bolton From the Start

Senator Romney was suggesting he’d like to hear from Bolton weeks ago.

“I would like to hear from John Bolton and other witnesses, but at the same time I’m comfortable with the Clinton impeachment model when we have opening arguments first and then we have a vote on whether to have witnesses,” he said.

Democrats would need four Republicans in total to side with them on calling new impeachment witnesses.

Other key individuals that Democrats hope to see defect had listened to the impeachment managers opening arguments and were outraged at the suggestion that if the Senate fails to bend to the whim of their House colleagues they’d be engaged in a “cover-up.”

“I took it as offensive,” Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) said last week. “As one who is listening attentively and working hard to get to a fair process, I was offended.”

Are her offended sensibilities going to outweigh the obvious media collusion with the Bolton revelations?

Aside from Romney and Murkowski, the resistance would also likely need Senators Susan Collins of Maine and Cory Gardner of Colorado to join their side. Collins and Murkowski have, like Romney, been vocal in the idea that they’d be open to new witnesses.

Romney and Political Pressure

Prior to the onset of the impeachment trial, Romney issued a statement explaining his mindset regarding witnesses.

“I have made clear to my colleagues and the public that the Senate should have the opportunity to decide on witnesses following the opening arguments,” he said.

“I will conclude by noting that this is not a situation anyone would wish upon our country,” he continued. “It is difficult, divisive, and further inflames partisan entrenchment. There is inevitable political pressure from all sides.”

The idea that Romney can be so easily swayed from day to day seems to suggest he easily crumbles under that political pressure.

Or is he really being swayed at all? Perhaps this has been the plan all along.

Back in October, Romney hinted that he’d vote to remove the President should impeachment pass in the House of Representatives.

Appearing in an interview with ‘Axios on HBO,’ Romney, according to the outlet, “made it clear that he’s open to voting to remove Trump.”

This is just a continuation of the Senator’s opportunism when it comes to swiping at Trump or praising him when it suits his own needs. Does he smell blood in the water?

Trump Attorney: Not Simply Going on Defense, We’re Going to Attack the Democrats

Attorney to the President, Jay Sekulow, explained that the legal team isn’t content to offer a rebuttal to Democrats impeachment arguments, they plan on attacking them.

Sekulow made the comments during an appearance on ‘Fox and Friends First,’ where he accused the resistance party of selectively editing witness testimony to fit their argument that the President should be impeached and removed from office.

“Adam Schiff, who is the House management leader, has had a problem with the truth since he’s been holding these hearings in the House of Representatives, all the way back to the Mueller report,” Sekulow told viewers. “So, we will not, in a sense, it’s not a rebuttal.”

Instead, he added, “what we are going to do is attack.”

RELATED: Trey Gowdy Unloads On Adam Schiff’s ‘Wildly Stupid’ Trial Strategy

On the Offensive

Sekulow went on to suggest the President’s legal team would be more proactive than defensive when it came to swatting back the impeachment sham.

We will “attack all the misstatements, all of the half-played clips that didn’t play the entire clip, the entire statement, which ends up changing the entire meaning of what they tried to imply,” he said.

“I mean, how many times in those videos did you hear, did you see someone’s mouth keep going and the clip stop?”

Heck, we even saw it well before the impeachment trial got underway, as Democrats and their kindred spirits in the media doctored a phone transcript to turn a mundane phone conversation into something more nefarious.

RELATED: Media, Democrats Blatantly Doctor Trump-Ukraine Transcript to Create Fake News

Attack!

It shouldn’t be all that difficult for Trump’s team to dismantle the many lies coming out of Schiff, or Jerry Nadler, or any of the other Democrat impeachment team’s mouths.

Former South Carolina congressman Trey Gowdy chastised Schiff for presenting unto the American people a “wildly stupid trial strategy.”

Sekulow and his team will find their biggest challenge in getting the facts out to the American people.

President Trump took to social media to complain that his team is forced to present their case on a Saturday when it’s nearly guaranteed to audience will be much smaller.

Aside from that, there will be the usual media bias in which the legal team for the President is shut down if they make a good point.

Exhibit A:

Still, Sekulow believes they’ll get the message out.

“We’re going to make sure the American people and all one hundred U.S. senators get to see exactly what those Democrat witnesses – that’s all they were: 17 Democrat witnesses – what they had to say, in full,” he insisted.

“Because, what they had to say – in full – is on our side.”

Trey Gowdy Unloads On Adam Schiff’s ‘Wildly Stupid’ Trial Strategy

Fox News contributor and former South Carolina congressman Trey Gowdy hammered impeachment manager Adam Schiff for his “wildly stupid trial strategy.”

Gowdy made the comments during the third day of President Trump’s impeachment trial, opining on whether or not Schiff’s argument that the American people can not decide the next election is a valid one.

“We are here today to consider a much more grave matter, and that is an attempt to use the powers of the presidency to cheat in an election,” Schiff announced.

“For precisely this reason, the President’s misconduct cannot be decided at the ballot box—for we cannot be assured that the vote will be fairly won.”

RELATED: Rand Paul Invites Trump as Guest to Attend Impeachment Trial

“Adam’s Ordinarily Not That Stupid But…”

Fox News host Bret Baier queried Gowdy on what he called ‘the big question’

“Is the way that Adam Schiff said it, do voters never get to trust the vote and only lawmakers can decide what the line is, that a president can get kicked out of office for?” Baier asked.

Gowdy didn’t hold back, starting off with a ‘but’ that you simply knew was going to leave a mark on Schiff.

“Yeah, Brett, Adam’s ordinarily not that stupid but when you tell the jury, the Senate, on one day that they’re corrupt and then you tell the American people they cannot be trusted to pick the commander in chief, that’s just a wildly stupid trial strategy,” he replied.

RELATED: Trey Gowdy Levels ‘Wannabe Senator’ Adam Schiff For Opposing Probe Into Obama-Era Spying

Schiff’s Threat to Democracy

Gowdy was quick to point out that Democrats – including Schiff – were up in arms when then-candidate Donald Trump suggested he might not accept the results of the 2016 election.

“It’s hard to believe the nominee of a major party won’t commit to accepting the election result,” Schiff tweeted at the time. “Unfit for any office.”

Now it seems, it’s perfectly okay for Democrats to suggest an election might be rigged.

“Remember when Donald Trump, as a candidate, began to question the reliability of the vote?” Gowdy asked Baier.

“Well Adam Schiff has done exactly the same thing,” he continued assuming a Democrat’s voice. “American people, we don’t trust you to factor this in in November, so we need a hundred senators to decide that.”

Gowdy reiterated, “It is a wildly stupid trial strategy, only surpassed by Jerry Nadler’s insulting of the jury two days ago.”

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff has been a favorite target of Gowdy’s over the years.

Last year, he referred to Schiff as a “wannabe senator” for opposing investigation of Obama-era spying on the Trump campaign.

And, despite contending in this interview that “Adam’s ordinarily not that stupid,” he has in the past referred to him as “consistently wrong,” “deeply partisan,” and joined Fox News personality Tucker Carlson in mocking Schiff as “an irresponsible buffoon.”

CNN Analyst: Yeah, I Made Up That Conversation Between Two Senators Shocked At Trump’s Action

Joe Lockhart, CNN analyst and former White House Press Secretary under Bill Clinton, admitted fabricating a conversation between two GOP senators supposedly shocked at learning what President Trump had done during the impeachment trial.

Lockhart on Wednesday tweeted that he had “overheard” a discussion between two Republican lawmakers who had supposedly become enlightened by the facts after remaining in the dark because they “only watch Fox News.”

“[I]s this stuff real? I haven’t heard any of this before. I thought it was all about a server,” he wrote. “If half the stuff Schiff is saying is true, we’re up shit’s creek. Hope the White House has exculpatory evidence.”

Those were words he shared in the public domain using quotations.

Of course, a majority of the ‘stuff’ Democrat Impeachment Manager Adam Schiff is saying is untrue.

And, it turns out, Lockhart took a page from Schiff, who had fabricated a conversation between President Trump and Ukraine’s president at the onset of the impeachment effort.

Lockhart would later tweet that he “made up the convo.”

RELATED: Former White House Press Secretary Accuses Kavanaugh Of Lying About Yearbook Quotes But Fails To Back It Up

Just Satire

When you have ‘CNN Political Analyst’ in your bio, and your network has been successfully sued for creating fake news, it might not be the best idea to engage in satire.

Yet, here we are.

Lockhart’s original post about the completely made-up conversation earned over 8,000 retweets and 32,000 likes. His follow-up saying he was just kidding? Just over 800 retweets and 9,000 likes.

Media bias 101.

Lockhart then gave the standard ‘sorry you people were too stupid to get the joke’ apology.

“Sorry people thought this was real. Satire and sarcasm do help make these points though,” he tweeted.

Later, he doubled down and blasted people for coming after his fake news story.

“Seems like I poked the bear today. The purveyors of Pizzagate and the Seth Rich conspiracy are lecturing me on honesty,” Lockhart complained. “I told a joke, you guys are a destructive joke that is killing our democracy.”

In a separate conversation, having just completely made stuff up, the CNN analyst had the gall to write, “You can’t make this stuff up.”

Satirical news site the ‘Babylon Bee’ poked fun at Lockhart.

RELATED: Nancy Pelosi On Schiff’s Made Up Trump Phone Call: ‘He Did Not Make It Up’

Just Emulating His Hero

Lockhart can hardly be blamed. Perhaps he was just trying to emulate his muse in House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff.

Schiff undeniably fabricated an entire mob-like conversation between President’s Trump and Zelensky during a congressional whistleblower hearing in early October.

Lockhart, apparently smitten with Schiff, decided to fabricate his own conversation which he too defended by claiming it was just a joke.

During the Senate’s impeachment trial proceedings, Lockhart tweeted that “[Schiff] is a national treasure.”

The only jokes here are Lockhart, Schiff, and the network who puts both individuals on their airwaves to consistently lie to the American people.
