Rep. Cori Bush needs just 30 seconds to slam the door shut on Donald Trump’s presidency

Newly elected Rep. Cori Bush of Missouri came into office on the mandate that she is fighting for Black lives. She has been very clear that she intends to do everything in her power to help save the lives of millions of Americans mistreated by a racist and unequal justice system. Bush is also very aware that there is a history of white supremacy in our country that is deeply embedded in the institution she is now hoping to reform. Bush, like every Black person who has risen into a politically powerful position before her, is now faced with the tangible political and physical violence that always accompanies the threat she poses to white supremacists and their anxieties.

On Wednesday, in a room filled with Republican white supremacists who want to bullshit America into believing they have some claim to the concept of “unity,” Bush delivered a short, powerful, and pitch perfect reason why she would be voting to impeach Donald Trump. This will be the second time Donald Trump is impeached during his presidency, and considering his actions over the last four years, the only surprising thing is that Donald Trump will have only been impeached twice.

This is the entire 30-second speech Bush gave. One might consider it the Gettysburg Address of impeachment speeches:

Madam Speaker, St. Louis and I we rise in support of the article of impeachment against Donald J Trump. If we fail to remove a white supremacist president who incited a white supremacist insurrection, it’s communities like Missouri’s First District that suffer the most. The 117th Congress must understand that we have a mandate to legislate in defense of Black lives. The first step in that process is to root out white supremacy starting with impeaching the white supremacist in chief. Thank you and I yield back.

Fin.

Rep. Bush’s speech was cheered by Democratic representatives in the chamber and booed by … some others.

What does it mean when they boo the Black congresswoman denouncing white supremacy?

Fin, part deux.

Trump Organization Fires Back After De Blasio Terminates All Contracts With New York City

The Trump Organization slammed New York City mayor Bill De Blasio for his “blatant disregard for the facts” after he terminated all contracts with the city.

De Blasio announced Wednesday that three contracts – including one which dates back 30-years – would end due to protests at the Capitol last week.

Long-standing contracts will end for the iconic skating rinks in Central Park, the park carousel, and Ferry Point Golf Course in the Bronx.

“The president incited a rebellion against the United States government that killed five people and threatened to derail the constitutional transfer of power,” de Blasio claimed.

“The City of New York will not be associated with those unforgivable acts in any shape, way, or form, and we are immediately taking steps to terminate all Trump Organization contracts,” he added.

De Blasio Terminates NYC Contracts With Trump Organization

De Blasio, who only evades being the dumbest man in politics because he splits votes with the governor in his state, went on to accuse President Trump of being a criminal.

“What’s obvious is that these are sites that we want to continue serving the public, but not with an organization led by a criminal,” he said without evidence.

Trump has never been charged with a crime, despite the left’s best intentions to see it happen.

Therefore, we label the mayor’s statement ‘false’ and urge Twitter to make sure they add a disclaimer to De Blasio’s comments.

On a side note – if De Blasio were truly invested in trying to root out criminal activity in his city, he’d start by figuring out what his wife did with the $850 million in taxpayer money meant for a mental health program she lost.

Trump Organization Fires Back

The Trump Organization fired back at De Blasio saying New York City “no legal right to end our contracts.”

They called it “another example of Mayor de Blasio’s blatant disregard for the facts” and noted, “if they elect to proceed, they will owe The Trump Organization over $30 million dollars.”

More importantly, they point out that De Blasio’s actions aren’t about seeking disassociation from ‘criminal’ activity but rather, it is just another example of ‘cancel culture.’

“This is nothing more than political discrimination, an attempt to infringe on the First Amendment and we plan to fight vigorously,” they stated.

De Blasio is just one of many extreme leftists engaging in economic and free speech attacks against the President based on the media’s Capitol riots narrative.

Trump was banned permanently from Twitter while Facebook and Instagram both locked the President down with indefinite suspensions.

Earlier today, YouTube announced that they were suspending his channel “for at least one week, and potentially longer.”

Conservatives jumped ship to other platforms like Parler, only to have Amazon pull the plug on hosting, and many who remained on Twitter were purged by the tens of thousands following allegations they were part of Qanon.

Mainstream media outlets jumped in with CNN calling for networks to first watch events attended by President Trump before determining what they want you to see and hear.

Forbes threatened companies not to hire associates of the President.

“Want to ensure the world’s biggest business media brand approaches you as a potential funnel of disinformation?” they caution. “Then hire away.”

Businesses associated with President Trump are being de-platformed.

On Sunday, the PGA announced that the 2022 PGA Championship would no longer be held at Trump Bedminster in New Jersey, a course owned by the Trump organization.

If Joe Biden had an ounce of integrity he would denounce this obvious assault on free speech and the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

We already know De Blasio doesn’t have the integrity to operate within the truth. Perhaps Biden could give it a shot.

McConnell says he has ‘not made a final decision’ on how he will vote on Trump impeachment

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told Republican colleagues Wednesday that he has “not made a final decision” on how he will vote on impeachment, despite signaling that he supported House Democrats’ move to initiate impeachment proceedings against President Trump.

McCarthy says impeachment would divide: ‘Censure resolution would be prudent’

As the House debated impeachment proceedings against President Trump, the GOP leader weighed in: impeachment would further divide, censure is more appropriate.

Rep. Chip Roy calls House Democrats’ articles of impeachment ‘flawed’

Though President Trump “committed an impeachable offense,” the House Democrats' articles of impeachment are “flawed,” Rep. Chip Roy argued on Wednesday.

Trump ‘would have standing to challenge’ his impeachment trial: Turley

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley told “America’s Newsroom” on Wednesday that President Trump “would have standing to challenge” his impeachment trial potentially taking place after he is no longer in office “and the court could rule on it.”

Trump Awards Congressman Jim Jordan With Presidential Medal Of Freedom

President Trump awarded Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) with the Presidential Medal of Freedom – the Nation’s highest civilian honor.

The Hill reports that Jordan received the award “citing his defenses of Trump against impeachment and the Russia investigation.”

In a White House press release, President Trump lauded the Republican Congressman for having “led the effort to confront the impeachment witch hunt.”

“He is an inspiration to freedom-loving Americans everywhere and has distinguished himself as one of the most consequential members of Congress of his generation,” the statement concluded.

Jim Jordan, Adam Schiff Slayer, Wins Medal Of Freedom

Jim Jordan repeatedly took Democrat Adam Schiff to task during the RussiaGate impeachment inquiry meetings, claiming that the Democrat had a reputation for leaking and lying.

He called Schiff out for claiming outwardly that he had no idea who the famous ‘whistleblower’ was during the impeachment hearings, even though that would be an impossibility.

“This committee will not be used to out the whistleblower,” Schiff claimed at the time.

“You have said you don’t know who the whistleblower is – even though no one believes you,” Jordan shot back at the California Democrat.

Another memorable exchange between the pair took place when Jordan tried to finish a question and Schiff claimed he wouldn’t ‘indulge him’ much longer.

“I have indulged you with extra time—” Schiff said.

Jordan replied, “I appreciate it,” as he tried to finish his line of questioning.

“But indulgence is wearing out,” Schiff interjected.

“Our indulgence wore out with you a long time ago, Mr. Chairman, I will tell you that,” fired back Jordan.

Jordan Grilled Dr. Fauci About Lockdowns And BLM Protests

Jordan also made a splash during testimony by Dr. Anthony Fauci regarding the coronavirus, lockdowns, and Black Lives Matter protests.

In one particularly heated exchange Jordan asked Fauci, “Should we limit the protesting?”

“I’m not in a position to determine what the government can do in a forceful way,” Fauci responded.

“I haven’t seen people during a church service go out and harm police officers or burn buildings,” Jordan scoffed, noting Fauci had opined on plenty of other events prior to that.

“No limit to protests, but you can’t go to church on Sunday.”

President Trump awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom one week earlier to Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), another staunch ally.

Nunes was instrumental in uncovering the deep-seated corruption that took place behind closed doors during the Russia probe.

QAnon congresswoman is really trying to get someone killed with her latest incitement

Ten days after joining Congress, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene continues building the case for her removal from the House of Representatives. In the wake of the violent attack on the Capitol by supporters of Donald Trump trying to keep Congress from formalizing his loss to President-elect Joe Biden, Greene tweeted out another incitement to violence.

“These Democrats are the enemies to the American people who are leading the impeachment witch hunt against President Trump,” Greene tweeted Wednesday. “AGAIN!”

Then, ominously, “They will be held accountable.”

Enemies to the American people who will be held accountable, huh? That sounds like a call to violence from a member of Congress who described Jan. 6 as a “1776 moment.” When you have spent months trying to overturn an election and then compared the day on which a violent attack on the Capitol was planned to the American Revolution, you don’t get the benefit of the doubt on “enemies of the people” who “will be held accountable.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene is dangerous and she’s reveling in it. She’s positioning herself as some kind of brave freedom fighter, but she’s standing on the sidelines, in a position of privilege, egging others on to do her dirty work. She’s joined Trump in spending months working to convince his followers that the election was stolen—every single fact to the contrary—and now she’s trying to use that belief to get people killed. To get elected Democrats killed in a larger coup attempt.

She needs to go before (more) people are killed, not after.

Republican congresswoman just tweeted that Democrats are "enemies to the American people" and said, "They will be held accountable." That seems very...incitement-y. pic.twitter.com/Sj6o60zDhH
