Minnesota Democrat Rep. Refuses To Defend Ilhan Omar: ‘She Doesn’t Belong In Our Party’

Minnesota Democrat Rep. Collin Peterson took a swipe at Congresswoman Ilhan Omar saying “she doesn’t belong in our party.”

Peterson was addressing past comments in which Omar dismissed the 9/11 terrorist attacks as “some people did something.”

He had previously come to her defense.

In an April interview, Peterson had explained where Omar might have been coming from.

“I think she was trying to say that some people in her community feel like they’re being targeted,” he said.

When confronted more recently, the Minnesota Democrat walked back his comments.

Ilhan Omar ‘Doesn’t Belong In Our Party’

In a video obtained by the New York Post, Peterson is questioned by a tracker for the National Republican Congressional Committee.

“Do you have any comment as to why you defended Ilhan Omar?” they ask.

Peterson responds by saying the Minnesota Squad member doesn’t belong with her Democrat colleagues.

“I don’t defend her,” he said. “She doesn’t belong in our party.”

Contrary to the above tweet, it is plainly obvious what prompted the broadside.

Did Collin Peterson suddenly develop the moral courage to denounce the radical Omar?

No, of course not.

He’s trying to save his skin. Peterson, a 16-term incumbent, is in a district that President Trump won by over 30 points in 2016.

He’s currently in a dog fight with Republican Michelle Fischbach to retain his seat. Last month, a poll showed Fischbach with a 10-point lead.

Is It Peterson or Omar Who Doesn’t Belong?

The Democrats have gone so far astray, playing footsie with radical socialists, that it’s difficult to say whether it is Omar or Peterson who doesn’t belong in the party.

Peterson, who opposed the impeachment of President Trump and is considered a ‘pro-life Democrat,’ is practically a dinosaur.

Presidential nominee and presumable party standard-bearer Joe Biden aligns himself more with Omar.

Omar believes Biden “is going to be responsive to the policy positions we are advocating for.”

Biden’s running mate, Kamala Harris, is practically a Senate member of the Squad, ranking as the most liberal Senator of 2019.

In reality, it may be Peterson who is on the outside looking in at the most radical, pro-socialist, anti-American version of a party in the history of the United States.

President Trump Unites Pro-Life Supporters as Movement Surges at March for Life 2020

By David Kamioner | January 24, 2020

Fox News reports that from laymen to leaders, conservative and pro-life Christians are showing up at Friday’s DC pro-life March for Life in droves.

Many of them are no doubt encouraged and thrilled at the scheduled appearance of President Donald Trump.

Trump is the first U.S. president to ever address the rally in person.

Appearing on “Fox & Friends: First” with host Heather Childers, March for Life president Jeanne Mancini said that President Trump has “absolutely put his money where his mouth is” on pro-life issues.

Their own words speak volumes as to their commitment to this cause.

“Inviting wonderful Evangelical leaders like … Pastor David Platt from McLean Bible Church, Rev. Dr. Matthew Harrison of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and Jim Daly, President of Focus on the Family, to participate is one small way we do this. We want to do everything possible to welcome pro-life people of all faiths to the March for Life,” said march organizer Jeanne Mancini.

The march began in 1974 as mainly a Roman Catholic event. It has expanded to include all faiths.

Evangelist Franklin Graham, son of the famed pastor and advisor to presidents the late Rev. Billy Graham, Wednesday morning said on Facebook: “I’m going to do something on Friday that I’ve never done before — I’m going to march. I’m going to DC to walk in the March for Life.”

Pastor Jack Graham, no relation to Franklin Graham, said, “This is my first time. We’re at a tipping point on the issue of the sanctity of life in the country and the very fact that the president is speaking live for the first time just indicates the massive movement of life for evangelicals in the country.”

The young are also taking part.

“As soon as I found out about it…I purchased my ticket right away,” student Jordan Jantzen, 21, told Fox.

He continued, “I just continue to get blown away by seeing so many people my age. It shows that we are the pro-life generation and we believe the sanctity of human life is of utmost importance from conception until natural death.”

If the laws of this nation are ever to turn away from abortion it will not initially come from politicians, as most are too timid to buck what they think is a national consensus on the issue.

It will come from pro-life grassroots support like this march that is leveraged into political pressure at the ballot box and in campaign cash donated to pro-life candidates.

It is the only language the political class of this nation understands.

Trump First President in History to Speak at March for Life

By David Kamioner | January 22, 2020

On Friday President Donald Trump will be the first president to address the March for Life rally in DC in the 47 years the event has taken place.

The rally brings together Americans from all over the nation who oppose abortion. About 100,000 attend and last year Vice-President Mike Pence made an unscheduled appearance, much to the delight of the audience. This announcement came on the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion.

Jeanne Mancini, president of the group that organizes the march, had this to say:

“From the appointment of pro-life judges and federal workers, to cutting taxpayer funding for abortions here and abroad, to calling for an end to late-term abortions, President Trump and his administration have been consistent champions for life and their support for the March for Life has been unwavering. We are grateful for all these pro-life accomplishments and look forward to gaining more victories for life in the future.”

The president’s canny media move will rain on the PR parade of House Dems who will be wrapping up their arguments against him in the Senate impeachment trial.

In a further goading of the Left, his participation will draw out the vicious criticism of the abortion on demand and partial-birth abortion crowd.

The abortion hardliners will want their share of air time as well, thus also contributing to a lack of attention for the House Dem impeachment managers.

While it must be granted that many have sadly come to view abortion as a legal right, many also draw the line at partial-birth abortion and agree with numerous state laws restricting access to the fatal procedure. The president will no doubt also be talking to those relatively moderate voters in his address to the rally.

Pro-life and social conservative groups were first leery of Trump when he joined the 2016 race for the presidency. He had been a registered Democrat, an outspoken supporter of and donor to Dem campaigns, and was not viewed as reliable on social issues.

His personal life also left some traditionalists aghast.

But his actions as president have proven his pro-life bona fides and social conservatives largely and enthusiastically have come to support him for reelection.
