Even if Trump wins the presidency, we could be entering a stage of lawfare that makes the last two years seem placid.
Democrats will open their convention with a celebration of President Joe Biden, the candidate for whom they nigh-unanimously voted in primaries only to jettison as unelectable as November beckoned.
That person is President Biden.
Trump’s lawyers are straining to find a constitutional clause that could be their peg. The impeachment clause does not serve the purpose.

The 25th Amendment is not a substitute for the Constitution’s impeachment process, no matter the latest reporting on the January 6 committee.
It is doing the impeachment investigation Democrats failed to do, but this poses legal problems.
Absent a credible impeachment threat, President Biden and the progressives are only going to continue abetting illegal immigration.
